Luster Dawn's Journal: Entry Number Ten - Enter Chystalis

Fun fact, the rabbit Amelia modded with chaos magic is named Jack; he's her pet.

It's actually been a few weeks since Amelia showed up. Not much of interest really happened in the meantime. Well outside of me hanging out with my friends more, getting to know Sunset Shimmer (more on that later), and well...just in general nothing really major happened.

Though I will say, Amelia is most certainly Fluttershy's daughter. At one point there was this manticore on a rampage, but Amelia calmed it down by using her chaos magic to summon a giant ball of yarn. What is it with Fluttershy and Manticores anyways? First Fluttershy herself, then Screwball according to what I heard about Mothball, and now Amelia. I swear, it's like Fluttershy's bloodline has a thing for calming down Manticores. If Amelia or Screwball has a kid, and then that kid clams down a manticore in the future, then it's official, Fluttershy's bloodline can tame manticores.

But at some point, we would be confronted with someone we never thought we'd encounter.

The daughter of Chrysalis.

Everfree Forest - Queen Chysalis

Queen Chrysalis woke up alone like she tended to do. She frowned.

"What is with that daughter of mine?" Chrysalis said as she got up. "Everytime I wake up alone. At the very least my daughter is able to provide us both with enough love to last us day to day for the time being. But at one point, she will start growing, and when she does, simply getting the small amounts of love she has been getting won't be suitable for her growth." Chrysalis said. She got up and started heading out of her sleeping chamber, but did not see her daughter around. "...That's odd...usually she's here by the time I wake up." Chrysalis said before coming to a realization. "Could she...be getting extra love today because she remembered my own birthday?!" She exclaimed. She couldn't help but chuckle. "That child is going to spoil me. She really should think of herself more though." Chrysalis said before heading outside. She explored around a bit before noticing a few of the animals going towards a clearing in the woods. "...That's odd...what's there, I wonder." Chrysalis said before following the animals. What she saw before her, made her blood boil over...

Ponyville - Fluttershy's cottage

"Sisterhooves social?" Amelia asked Screwball. "But I thought Granny Smith was long gone..." She said.

"She is, but Aunt Applejack has kept the event going in her memory." Screwball said. "And I bet Aunt Apple Bloom will too soon after." She said.

"C'mon now, Aunt Applejack still has some gas in the tank; she's a stubborn pony that one." Amelia said.

"I suppose you have a point." Screwball said. "But because we're sisters, we can one hundred percent participate this year." She added.

"I suppose it could be fun to see what the event is all about for a change." Amelia said. Suddenly she looked shocked. "...Wait, do you hear something?" Amelia said before following a growing sound of crying with Screwball right behind her. The two sisters soon came across a crying unreformed changeling in the middle of some animals conforting her. "What the...there's still changelings unreformed?" Amelia asked.

"But that doesn't make any sense...even when born, the new changelings are in their reformed state." Screwball said.

"Hey there little one..." Amelia said, conforting the changeling. "What's your name?" Amelia said.

"C-chyrstalis..." The changeling said.

"...Chrystalis?!" Screwball said. "...Sis, I know why she's not in her reformed state now..." she said. "Chrystalis, your mother is Chrysalis is she not?" Screwball asked.

"Not...not anymore...mommy...mommy threw me out..." Chrystalis said.

"Threw you out? But why?" Amelia asked.

"Well..." Chrystalis began.

Flash Back: Everfree Forest - Chrystalis's Clearing

"What is the meaning of this, Chrystalis?!" Chrysalis yelled at her daughter.

"Mom, these are forest animals." Chrystalis said, smiling. "I'm playing with them." She said.

"I can see that, but why on earth are you basing yourself to such a degree?" Chrysalis said.

"Um...to get love." Chrystalis said. "It's how I've been getting love everyday for us. It's worked hasn't?" She asked.

"FOOLISH GIRL!" Chrysalis yelled at her daughter again. "YOU'LL NEVER BECOME QUEEN LIKE THIS! I'M KICKING YOU OUT OF THE CAVE UNTIL YOU WISE UP, CHRYSTALIS!" Chrysalis said.

"But...but..." Chrystalis tried to argue but was silenced.

"I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ANY EXCUSE OUT OF YOU; EITHER START STEALING LOVE, OR YOU CAN FORGET EVER BEING MY DAUGHTER!" Chrysalis yelled at her daughter.

END FLASHBACK

Present time: Ponyville -

"But I don't like stealing love..." Chrystalis said. "I think having love be caused naturally is much better then forcibly stealing any." She added.

"You poor thing..." Amelia said. "Screwball, tell Luster our situation, and get a letter sent to Princess Twilight right away." She said.

"You can just call her Aunt Twilight..." Screwball said and left to do as ordered.
