Luster Dawn Journal: Entry Number 1 - The New Threat

It's no secret that time was taking it's toll on Princess Twilight's Friends. Yet, she was not going to be sad; she said she'd see them again some day, even if that day is long into the future from now. And time seems to be running out for one of Twilight's Friends. Specifically the local animal caretaker, Fluttershy. But she has two daughters, one of which is currently at home with her coltfriend; a reformed changeling named Mothball. He and Screwball; the daughter of Fluttershy and Discord who is still in ponyville; have been together since before the changling reformation. Not sure how THAT works. Still trying to wrap my head around it, okay? It's already crazy enough having to know that that unicorn is the daughter of Discord. DISCORD! You know, the Lord of Chaos and all that?

I'm going on a tangent in my own journal now. Great. Next thing you know, they'll call it "Luster-ing" just like how whenever my mentor; Princess Twilight Sparkle herself; starts panicking and being obsessive, they call it "Twilight-ing". That's never going to get out of my head. Also, I'm starting to devolve into another tangent in my own journal again, so I'll just stop myself here before this gets out of hand. Trust me. The less said about all this the better.

So anyways, yes, Fluttershy has two daughters, but the other one has been away after Discord had that whole thing with all of Twilight's friends. And trust me, the less said about that is for the better. But Fluttershy is running out of time. And not just because she's getting old. No. There's a storm coming, and it's headed for Fluttershy.

Remember that devil I mentioned earlier? Well he had this minion. Can I call him a minion? Twilight says I could, as that's essentially what Slade was: A minion. A small fish preparing us for the giant whale. Slade had managed to sneak into the Castle of Frienship where mother and father were staying just to kill one of the various staff members there. But the scene of the crime. Oh sweet Celestia above, that crime scene. It's best I don't write what that crime scene was like as the less I have to think about that the better off I'll be. And the less sick I'll feel. Even just thinking about it reminds me of just how much of a monster Slade was underneath.

Regardless, speaking of Slade, me and my friends managed to confront him and started to battle against the mysterious creature (not even sure what he was; defiantly NOT equestrian) while he was at Canterlot to stop him from going after someone there. Probably Spike, the Princess's own friendship ambassador. But me and my friends combined our efforts and we managed to defeat him. Though he vanished in a puff of what looked to be dark magic before we heard this evil cackle.

It was him, it was the devil. It was the one known as Astrotal Mondoli. This demon hated mortals, and wanted nothing more then to kill us all. And he was heading straight for Fluttershy's house as soon as Cozy Glow picked up on his energy signal. On the way there, we ran into this Unicorn Twilight knows as Sunset Shimmer. She said she's decided to come back to Equestria for good. I'm not entirely sure what that's about, but that's probably something for me to keep in mind for later.

As we approached Fluttershy's house, we heard someone shout out "no" over and over again. Once we were inside, we found Fluttershy's lifeless body. With some help from Sunset Shimmer, we found out that Fluttershy died in peace, and had managed to pass on before Astrotal Mondoli had gotten there. Well that's some small comfort. But now, we need a plan to end this nightmare. And it's up to me and my friends to come up with one.
