Season 2, Episode 3: Heart's & Hooves Day

Cozy Glow's P.O.V.

It's my first Heart's and hooves day since my release. Silver Spoon's Boyfriend is here with me, the CMC, and Luster's group. Luster is taking her time to join us, talking with her mom.

"Hey Cozy Glow..." Apple Buck said to me.

"What's up, Apple Buck?" I asked.

"I'm just making sure you'll be okay, what with all the couples here." Apple Buck said.

"Hey, you guys have your special someponies, but I'm not jealous. I know my special somepony is out there, somewhere." I said with a smile. "It's just going to take time to find him. Or her. Who knows, maybe I'll find I'm more into mares then stallions." I said.

"Ah'm sure you'll find yer special somepony someday soon." Apple Buck said.

"I hope your right." I said.

"SAY WHAT?!" Silver Spoon suddenly shouted. Her dragon boyfriend had pulled her aside for the time being.

"...And I'm willing to bet Silver Spoon's dragon boyfriend just told her about the crush he's had on her since long before they started dating." I said.

"You knew?!" Apple Buck exclaimed. "But he was so secretive about that. He's only really told me." He said.

"I saw how he got around her. It was easy for me to figure out the rest from there. Don't forget, I know what motivates people. It's part of my talent of being a strategist." I said.

"Wait that's been your talent this whole time?" Apple Buck asked.

"Duh! How else do you think I was able to decieve you all so well when I did the magic draining thing? I'm doing my best to apply being a strategist in a better way now though." I said. I touched my necklace. "My mother made it very clear in her letter that this necklace is very special. How special, I don't exactly know. The extent of that died with my mother it seems. But it must be pretty special if it was given to her by an angel." I explained.

"You think it might be able to give you alicorn powers temporarily if you make enough friends?" Apple Buck asked.

"Possibly. There's also something that's been bothering me. And it's Orbarous." I said.

"Right. The destroyer of worlds that we read about in Astrotle's journals..." Apple Buck said.

"Have you ever wondered if there's more then one version of our world sometimes, Apple Buck?" I asked. "Because I'm willing to bet there is, and if so, then Orbarous is a much bigger threat then we realize." I added. "If this necklace has the kind of power to temporally turn me into an alicorn, then I might need to borrow that power to defeat Orbarous." I said.

"Your already thinking ahead about that whole thing, aren't you?" Apple Buck said.

"I kind of have to, or we'll be caught off guard. This kind of thing is just like chess: You have to think two and sometimes three moves ahead to win. And if we plan on defeating Orbarous, someone has to be thinking of these sorts of things." I said.

"It's nice to see you put your talents to use like this." Apple Buck said. "Though maybe sometime, we could play chess with one another." He added.

"You wouldn't last more then seven moves against me." I said.

"Is that a challenge?" Apple Buck asked.

"It's more so fact. Your too laid back and easy going." I said. "See, the way people act and think carries over into their chess strategy." I added.

"And because you had that power mindset, you tend to play aggressively." Apple Buck said.

"Actually, I tend to play very strategically; always thinking three and sometimes four moves ahead." I said.

"You must be really good at chess then." Apple Buck said.

"Maybe sometime you can come watch me play someone. Your friends can come too." I said.

Today may have been a lazy day, but I feel like I'm growing closer to the friends I have here now that I've seen the light.
