Luster Dawn's Journal: Entry Number 3 - Enter the CMC

Cutie Marks. That's what we ponies call them. Sure, it's a feature exclusive to ponies and ponies alone; but none of my non-pony friends seem to mind it much. They are always telling me "it's just another thing that makes ponies special" or something along those lines. And I guess I can understand their point of view: Griffons are very combat oriented, Changelings can transform into whatever they want, Yaks are very strong, Dragons are prideful, and Kirin will turn into fire demons when angry. Believe it or not but I've managed to learn of the various perks regarding each of my friends. ESPECIALLY Summer Breeze. Because let me tell you, when she is in her fire demon form, she will make sure you regret EVER pissing her off. Even though dragons are immune to fire, Summer Breeze tends to use more melee attacks in her demon form then fire attacks. So even Dragons know it's better not to anger Summers. Yeah. I actually call her Summers. Me and my friends are the only ones who get to do that. If only because we get her.

Back onto Cutie Marks though, believe it or not, but I don't remember WHAT I was doing when I got mine. It's all a blur to me. Thankfully for me, my mentor told me that I should find a group of very special ponies called the Cutie Mark Crusaders to learn more. Not sure who they are, but they told me where they like to hang out. So, here I am, just outside their clubhouse. Wish me luck.

As Luster Dawn put her journal away, she gave a knock on the door of a somewhat large clubhouse. A yellow earth pony mare soon answered the door. "Who are ya, stranger?" The yellow mare asked.

"My name is Luster Dawn. I was told by Princess Twilight to come here to find the Cutie Mark Crusaders for some...cutie mark help." Luster Dawn said.

"If that's the case, you've come to the right place!" The yellow mare said, quickly ushering her inside. "Look out Crusaders, we got ourselves a new client!" The Yellow mare said before shutting the door behind her. The place was VERY big, and was littered with all kinds of drawings of various activities.

"Hey, isn't that Princess Twilight's new student?" A white unicorn mare at a very big table asked.

"I think your right Sweetie; it's her." A pink earth pony mare said, also at the very same table.

"Chill you guys. We need to be nice." An orange Pegasus mare said.

"Most certainly." A gray earth pony mare said.

"So...who are you guys?" Luster Dawn asked once the yellow mare sat down next to the unicorn of the group.

"I'm Applebloom." The yellow earth pony started.

"I'm Sweetie Belle." The Unicorn said.

"Scootaloo!" The Pegasus said.

"Diamond Tiara." The pink earth pony said.

"Silver Spoon." The gray earth pony said.

"And we make up the Cutie Mark Crusaders." Applebloom said. Luster Dawn blinked.

"Huh? Princess Twilight said there'd only be three of you..." Luster Dawn said.

"Me and Silver Spoon help out; our families are pretty rich so we tend to use our funds to help out the Cutie Mark Crusaders whenever a client shows up." Diamond Tiara said.

"Basically, we handle the expenses side of the crusaders; Applebloom, Sweetie Belle, and Scootaloo are the ones who do any of the actual crusading." Silver Spoon added in.

"Ah..." Luster Dawn said. "I suppose that makes sense." She added.

"They may not be actual crusaders, but they do help out in their own special ways sometimes." Sweetie Belle said.

"Yeah. Things have become much more mainstream for us ever since they started helping out." Scootaloo said.

"Plus...actually...probably not the place for any admissions of love..." Applebloom said, growing a blush as she looked at Diamond Tiara who blushed back while wearing a smile.

"So anyways...what seems to be your problem?" Diamond Tiara asked.

"The fact that...I don't remember what I was doing when I got my cutie mark..." Luster Dawn said. That caused everyone in the room to gasp.

"I...I think that's a first..." Scootaloo said.

"Let me go check the records." Silver Spoon said.

"No need. I know this is the first instance." Sweetie Belle said.

"What makes her so sure?" Luster Dawn asked.

"Because ah know it for a fact as well." Applebloom said.

"Well nothing for it. We'll probably be at this for several days, if not weeks!" Silver Spoon said.

"Yeah. Which is why I propose until this whole cutie mark problem is resolved, the five of us move into where you are staying or at least somewhere close by." Diamond Tiara said.

"...Well...moving to where I'm staying won't be a problem..." Luster Dawn said. "I just hope none of you are going to be scared..." She added.

"What would be scary about where your staying?" Scootaloo asked.

"Yeah. What she said." Sweetie Belle said.

"Ah agree." Applebloom pointed out.
