All of SOG was preparing to launch an assault on the launch sight. Spike was on the radio, he was cleaning an RPD light machine gun, when gears and Scootaloo walked into the tent. Spike saw the look at Scootaloo’s face then gears’ they both have an excited look on them.

“What is it?” Spike asked curiously

“Twilight is here personally to see us on our way.” Gears said with a smirk.

“Really?” Spike asked, not believing it.

“Yes, she is. I never thought I would get to meet her.” Scootaloo beamed

“Lets go we shouldn't wait.” Gears said.

The trio walked out of the room and moved to the tent with the two dusk guards were standing. As the three entered they saw their men along with a mare with a black fur and a mint green mane. Twilight, who noticed the three walking, beckoned them to sit. Once they did, Twilight spoke up.

“First thing out of the way, can the changeling lower their disguises.” Twilight said with authority.

“As you wish.” the black mare said as flames enveloped her and suddenly she was replaced by queen chrysalis.

“Good, now here’s how things will happen. I have organised a strike force to cover more ground; they will focus on the soldiers that are defending the base, while your team will focus on the rocket and General Garble.” Twilight informed SOG

“I will personally kill him myself, princess twilight.” Chrysalis said.

“I hear about what happened and if given the chance, you should take it, but if anyone else comes across him first, don’t spar him.”

“Who told you on the events that have transpired.” gloom said

“I did” Gears said a matter a factly

“Looks like even your princess has spies in your group spike.” Glooms quipped

“Spike before you say anything I didn’t order him to tell me anything, he did it himself.” twilight told spike

Spike was about to open his mouth to yell at twilight and gears, but he was cut off by a messenger barging in.

“Forgive me your highness, I have news about the launch.” the messenger said

“Calm down, take a deep breath and tell us.” twilight told the stallion

“Sorry your highness the COR are launching the rocket early.”

“What!? Spike, get your team, you're deploying in five.” twilight ordered

As everyone was left the tent twilight called to gears. “Gears keep spike safe please, he’s all I have left.”

“Don't worry, I’ll keep an eye just like I always have.” Gears said

Spike, Gears, and Chrysalis were in a HMMWV chrysalis was driving, gears was in the passenger seat and spike was on the mounted turret on the top of the vehicle there was two other HMMWV behind them with Scootaloo, Woodfire, and Gloom in the middle and Daring, Care Root and Curly Wind at the end. The launch site was at high alert, the defences were up as chrysalis rolled through Spike was firing on all the defenses.

“This is going to be tough everyone get ready, we got hell to fight through” spike said as he gunned down three COR soldiers on a sniper tower.

“This is charlie we’re coming in from the south.” handy said over the comms

“This is captain cash we knocked down their comms, they're stranded.” the captain of task force 141 said.

“You never disappointed cash.” Gears said.

“Captain, you join chrysalis’ changelings coming into the west.” Gears order

“Copy that.” cash said.

As spike was shooting at COR vehicles and infantry. They finally reached the proximity of the objective “alright we have to take out the anti-air turrets on the roofs so we can have men dropped in.” spike said. as they got through the fence, everyone got out of the HMMWA and went to their respected objectives. Spike led gears and chrysalis to the comms building. When the three got to the comms they entered and saw six COR soldiers trying to contact someone to send reinforcements. Spike aimed his RPD and shot it at the two ponies in their backs. The remaining four turned and fired upon the three of them. They promptly took cover. Gears shot his Type 63 at a dragon and hit him in the head, killing him instantly. Chrysalis shot her G11 and killed the griffon next to the dragon, Spike threw a grenade at the remaining two and once it exploded the floor was clear.

“We got about three more floors to go before we get to the turret on the roof.” Spike said

“I’ll take point.” Gears said with authority.

As gears lead the way up the stairs a stallion tried to stab him, gears block the attack grabbed the stallion’s foreleg while simultaneously kicking the stallion’s back legs sent him to the grown gears then disarmed the stallion grabbed the blade and drove it into his neck.

When did you learn that? Spike asked as he stared to shoot at the other COR men in the room.

“Scootaloo gave me pointers” Gears said as he took cover and fired at the enemy.

“Will you two focus the quicker we take down the AA guns the faster we can kill Garble” Chrysalis told them as she killed four with her G11

“Agreed” Spike said

As they fought their way up to the roof. Gears still lead the way. Once they got to the roof, gears kicked the door open, and a spike threw a flashbang at the COR men defending the gun. Once it went off Spike shot the first soldier he saw, chrysalis did the same, gears aim his Type 63 and shot two in the head once all the guards were down the three of them went to the AA gun after killing the operators spike noticed a COR helicopter taking off he got on the gun and shot it down it spine in the air for a bet before crashing into the armory. The AA turret on that roof fell into the burning armory below it.

“This is kilo, the eastern wing is clear, helios start your runs.” Gears said on the comms

“Lieutenant Spike, we have a situation.” Chrysalis said

Spike walked to chrysalis and looked off the corner of the roof; there were twenty COR soldiers waiting for them at the entrance and only way out. “Gears get you sniper ready chrysalis have some of you men over by the armory and wait for the signal.'' Spike said after getting a nodded in agreement, gears aimed at his SPG1 sniper rifle the gunfire began to ring out all around them and helicopters began to fly overhead as the facilities became a War Zone. There was a team of changelings who creep closer to the soldiers

“Open fire” spike yelled, immediately gears fired his sniper killing the Medic of the group and the changelings fired on the COR soldiers killed a fair amount of them before they reacted and took cover but it left them exposed to spike and gears who were firing on the soldiers. With only ten left, there was no escape for the COR soldiers, gears threw a frag grenade at the remaining enemies, killing five of them as it went off.

“they're weak, we must finish them.” chrysalis said to her men

“How did you order your men, anyway?” spike asked her

“Usually changeling can sense each other's presents and every hatchling is taught to understand what each signal means.” chrysalis said

“That good to know.” Gears said

“How” she asked

“Just in case you are in danger you can get gloom to warn us.” gears said

“Why do you care if I’m attacked.”chrysalis said

“Because knowing twilight she will make you into an ally.” Gears said

“You sound confident in her abilities” chrysalis stated

“I’ve seen them in actton she can convince you.” Gears said with a smile

“Come on we have to regroup with the team.” Spike said.

“I will assist my changelings on the field.” chrysalis said

“Good luck.” Spike said to her before they went their separate ways. Gears and spike ran through the base coming across small skirmishes along the way to the launch pad they helped the changeling or equations squads of soldiers. Spike was running low on ammo and he was out of his RPD he switched to his M4A1 and continued to fight his way through the COR soldiers.

Scootaloo was pinned down by gunfire Woodfire was hit and bleeding from his injuries and she had no cover, she prayed for anyone to help her then she her gunfire coming from the left of her, she looked over and saw spike and gears shooting at the enemy. “ Gears over here” scootaloo called him over. He ran over to her side and asked what was wrong.

“Gears woodfire hit he is not going to make it without a medic” Scootaloo informed gears

“Good thing you have one.” Gears said with a smile as he began to help woodfire

“You're cute and you can’t change my mind about that.” Scootaloo told gears with a smirk on her face.

“Fine, go help spike and make sure he does take a round to the face.” Gears said happily.

“On it.” Scootaloo said.

Scootaloo looked over to where Spike was and saw him fighting two dragons he blocked a swing going for his head, then he kicked the other one leg sending the dragon off balance, he punched the first dragon in the snout then did a spiking kick to the other knocking him to the ground. He then pulled out a magnum and shot the standing dragon in the face point blank. The one on the ground sweep spike’s feet sent him tumbling to the floor. The dragon pulled out a knife and attempted to stab Spike in the heart. Scootaloo shot the dragon in the face before anything happened..

“Come on we got to stop the rocket.” Scootaloo said, helping spike to his feet.

“Control room is two levels up.” Spike said,as The two ran towards the stairs they heard the intercom that spreads across the base “shest' minut do starta.(six minute till launch.)”

“You get up there NOW!” Gears yell over the comms

“What did it say gears” spike asked

“You got six minutes hurry!” Gears yelled.

The pegasus and dragon quickly ran up the stairs they gunned down everyone who got in their way. Scootaloo had a Hauer 77 and was leading the charge spike and had a FFAR1 shot anyone who was too far for scootaloo to shoot. Once the second floor was clear they ran up the flight of stairs once they got to the third floor scootaloo and spike got into a skirmish when the intercom flared up again. “chetyre minuty do zapuska”

“You got four minutes” Gears said over the comms

“Copy that, gears tell everyone to steer clear from the rocket just in case.” Spike said to gears as he fired at the last three soldiers defending the entrance to the control room.

“Got it this spike I know you do” gears said trying to motivate him

Scootaloo shot the three guards as the two stacked on the door but before they could get in they heard hoof steps coming up the stairs. It was a group of COR soldiers. Scootaloo took cover, Spike was close behind when he was stopped by scootaloo. “Spike we don’t have much time, you have to stop the lanche now I’ll buy time.” Scootaloo told him

“Ok don’t get killed.” Spike said

“tri minuty do zapuska” the intercom said as the alarm started to blare all around the hall, spike looked at himself and realized how much of a mess he was, he was covered in blood and had bruises and cuts all over him. He powered through his fatigue that just began to set in and when to the singeler room. Once he reached it he readied his FFAR and he kicked the door in. There were five people in the room, Spike shot four in the room, killing them. But his real target was using one as a shield. Spike, not having any more ammunition, threw his gun to the ground and pulled out a knife. “You equestrians never give up do you, even in defeat you still try to fight.” Garble said with venom.

“Don’t count your hens before they hatch Garble.” Spike said as he ran towards garble. Garble doged the swipes the younger dragon threw at him, after garble saw an opening and took it he kick spike to the side, Spike drop his knife as he hit the wall of the garble pick the knife up and walked to spike before garble could kill spike he rolled out of the way of the blade and elbowed garble in the face. As garble recoiled back, spike took the time to get up off the floor right when garble recovered, spike him in the chest. Garble ignoring the pain brought the knife down on spike leg.

“Odna minuta do zapuska” the intercom voice said

:You only have one minute left, just give up now and I will make your death painless.” garble offered.

“I can do this.” spike said.

“Wrong answer.” garble ripped out the knife from spike leg but before garble could get a killing blow, spike sent an uppercut to garble's jaw sending him into the controls. Spike charged into garble, grabbed him and slammed his face into the control panel. Spike saw a bright button that had the word “прервать” on it.

Spike having no other choice, he climbed up to the panile and hit the button. As this happened the red lights stopped and the screens said the rocket was shutting down. Spike pick himself off the ground and when he heard “Posledovatel'nost' zapuska prervana” over the intercom he knew what happened but before he could celebrate he heard a gun cock.

“You weren't supposed to do that.” Garble said aiming his macarove at spike’s head “well if I’m going to be killed at least I will have the pesesse on killing the princess precious son.”

Spike closed his eyes ready for his fate but when he heard a shot go off he was confused he looked at garble who had a large blood stain forming on the side of his coat. Garble collapsed to the floor bleeding heavily. Spike looked out the broken window and saw two purple ponies on the building across from the control room. The one holding the sniper was an alicorn mare with a pink streak through her mane.

“Good shooting twilight.” Gears said with a smile

Spike looked surprised for a bet then he fell on his ass and just laughed. “She dose love me doesn't she.” Spike said as he waited for medevac.
