The Pony Protection Agency
15) Violet's Button Pressing
Previous ChapterNext Chapter{Alex}
The next morning I woke up next to Twilight. She was sleeping soundly and she was back in her pony form. Another reason why she just seems so innocent to me because of how she likes to explore every subject she's interested in. She's just adorable at everything she does. Even when it comes down to sex.
Waking up next to Twilight is a breath of fresh air. I'd rather wake up next to her than with a hangover after having sex with Mary. What I don't understand is every time I have a vision concerning Twilight it's censored and I can't make out what I'm supposed to be seeing.
You know what I don't get Star? I thought.
What? Star thought.
Why is it every time I see a vision concerning Twilight, half of it is censored? Not to mention the other visions I keep having are coming more frequently. I can even pin the exact point of time the vision's are going to happen. Like the other day when I saw Violet coming to knock on the door mere seconds before it happened.
Yeah that is interesting, I think you're the most talented half child I've ever seen! I know your father Hugo can do that and from what I was told, no half child has been able to do that.
Huh. I didn't think of anything else, I just laid there staring up at the ceiling.
I felt annoyed with the very fact that I keep getting new abilities by the moment. I looked over at Twilight and smiled. She opened her eyes and yawned. "Good morning Alex."
"Morning Twilight."
She leaned over and kissed me. I loved doing things as simple as that. When I let go of her I tried not to roll my eyes because I saw a vision of Violet, Abigail, and Simon coming towards my room and I could pinpoint that they would be here in a minute or two. I looked over at the time and it confirmed that this was the time we were supposed to be meeting up to regroup. I thought they meant we would meet up at the cafe but I guess there was a change of plans.
Twilight rolled her eyes. She must've sensed I was annoyed about something. "You had another vision didn't you?"
"Yup," I replied, "Violet, Abigail, and Simon are coming and they're going to be here in about a minute or two. We should probably get dressed."
"Weren't we supposed to be meeting up at the café?" Twilight asked.
"That's what I thought, I guess there was a change of plan. That's really annoying, or maybe Violet's hoping that they hear us having sex. I think she lies in wait just to see if she hears us doing it so she can go knock on the door just to be annoying."
"Yeah she's annoying alright, oh well, we need to go back out and catch Pinkie anyway."
I got out of bed and got dressed. Twilight changed into her human form and got dressed. Violet didn't even have to knock on the door this time because I opened the door before she even got to it.
"Weren't we supposed to be meeting up at the café Violet?" I snapped, "Or did you come by with Abigail and Simon hoping that they would hear us having sex?"
Violet looked taken aback by what I just said, "Well, someone got up on the wrong side of the bed this morning."
"Yeah and FYI, I know where the café is and I know how to tell time," I snapped again, "I don't need an escort there."
I was about ready to tell Violet to go to the café like we had discussed before so I could slam the door on her face.
Simon narrowed his eyes at Violet. "Violet, you told us there was a change of plans and we were actually supposed to meet up at Alex's apartment. Why did you feel the need to lie to us?"
Violet looked away, which only confirmed what I thought her true intentions were.
"You know something Violet?" I growled. "Don't ever do this again. As a matter of fact, if you need to get in contact with me, stop popping up at my apartment at random times! You do know that we have a phone number you can use to call the apartment.," I took a deep breath and let it out, "Fine. To save you guys the extra trouble we might as well talk inside my apartment."
After seeing my agitation with Violet, even though Abigail was now dating her, she narrowed her eyes at Violet. "Violet, is there some reason why you just can't help but press Alex's buttons? I mean I know you two are partners and you view him as your brother and all, but you at least show him some respect? I don't do that to Carter and I feel the same way about him."
"I uh…" Violet said. She stood there speechless and it looked like she couldn't believe that her girlfriend was chastising her like this.
"Well, I think you have something you should say to Alex," Abigail said. She crossed her arms and waited to hear what Violet needed to say next.
Violet sighed, "Fine, I'm sorry Alex."
Abigail still had her arms crossed. "And?"
"I won't do this again…" Violet mumbled.
"Anyway," I said, "now that's been dealt with although I doubt Violet's not going to do this anymore. She probably just apologized to save face with her new girlfriend, come inside."
The next time I see a vision about her coming, I think I'll take a different path. But Violet will be Violet, it's not like Abigail can control her. No one can control that crazy woman, not even someone like Mary could control her.
As I sat down at the kitchen table with Violet, Abigail, Simon, while Twilight came outside from the bedroom.
"Are you guys hungry?" I said, "Because Twilight and I haven't eaten breakfast yet."
"We're good Alex," said Violet, "we already ate at my apartment."
"Okay then." I went to the refrigerator and grabbed a plate of vegetables and fruit for Twilight because that's her favorite type of breakfast. I went and made myself a ham sandwich because I didn't feel like cooking anything at the moment.
"Okay," said Twilight after she ate a piece of fruit, "where do we go from here? Honestly, I prefer not to rely on Alex's visions or any other talent he has now that's been confirmed as half god and half human."
"Yeah, she's got a point," said Simon, "as I said before, every detective on the force has to pull their own weight. Ryker and I don't just rely on one of us to get the job done. Each of us contributes to solving a case. Violet, I think you're being a little bit lazy at the moment. If Alex winds up being the main one solving this case in catching this rogue pony, uh what was her name again?"
"Pinkie Pie." Twilight answered.
Simon continued, "Right, as I was saying, if Alex is the main one that solves this case and we catch Pinkie Pie because of it, it wouldn't be fair to take credit for solving the case when Alex was the one that actually did it because of his talents."
"Only problem is," I said, "if I have a vision I have to tell someone about it or it could cause me to have another power surge. That's a possibility until my powers as a half child fully develop. Although sometimes I've been able to tell Star when there's no one around. But that's sometimes not all the time."
Right after I said that, I had a vision. Pinkie was with a woman with brown hair and black eyes. Pinkie was in her human form as Roxy. The woman with her was dressed in casual clothing, a t-shirt with some sort of logo on it. I had no idea what it meant but the logo was three stars that formed a triangle, one star on the left side of the shirt, one star on the right side of the shirt, and one star at the top of the shirt. The stars were close together and inside a circle. The woman was also wearing blue jeans with a black belt on them and silver gym shoes.
Pinkie and the woman were standing outside an apartment complex. The building that they were standing in front of had the number 14 at the top of it. It had the street name beside it, it was Steferson St.
Pinkie looked at the woman standing beside her and smiled. "How on Earth did you find this place Sally?"
"Well, I have connections so it was easy," Sally said, "Let's go inside."
They went upstairs and inside the apartment. When I saw this part of the vision I was stunned by what the apartment looked like. It looked like the inside of a penthouse on the top floor. The view outside the windows was looking down at the street below.
"Whoa!" Pinkie said, looking around the place in awe, "This place is amazing!"
Sally went over to a small refrigerator and opened it. Inside was a case of beers and a couple of bottles of whisky. When Pinkie saw this her jaw dropped. "Now how did you get that? How did you know what my favorite thing to drink was?"
"Let's see, how long have we been friends now?" Sally asked.
"Well, only two years," Pinkie replied, "Hmm, there's got to be some way I can repay you for doing this for me."
Pinkie stood there and looked like she was thinking. She then gave Sally a flirting smile. "I know how I can repay you, how about we go to the bedroom?"
Sally's eyes went wide, "Oh no Roxy, it's no biggie, really it's not. Besides, I don't think Lyra would take too kindly to infidelity. We're not forming a herd and we don't have an open relationship. Nope! No way!"
"Oh come on," Pinkie whined, "I haven't had sex in forever since I came here."
"Well you should've thought about that before you came over here," Sally snapped, "Here's an idea, why don't you rape next one of your research subjects?"
Pinkie shook her head. "Nah, I don't have sex with other species. I have heard of ponies that do stuff like that, but that's not my thing. Yuck!"
Before Pinkie could say another word, Sally tossed her the keys and was out the door quicker than you can count to three. That's when the vision ended.
Of course when I opened my eyes everyone except for Twilight this time were looking at me with excited looks on their faces. Twilight rolled her eyes. "Yeah I'm pretty Alex just had a vision. I know it's cool and all but seriously, my friends did the same thing to me when I first became an Alicorn. It gets old and annoying after a while. I hate to say this, but what did you see Alex?"
That's when I thought of an idea. I remembered when I relayed the details of the location of Pinkie's soon to be burial site for that woman Cathy that I saw in that vision. "Hey Twilight, remember when I relayed to you the information of Pinkie's burial site for Cathy?"
Twilight nodded. I went over to her and put my hand on her forehead. She smiled. "As I said the last time you did that. It's a weird way to convey information, but information nonetheless. Now, how much time is the vision going to take place?"
I whispered into her ear that the vision was going to take place in one hour. She nodded. "Good now, how do we go about getting there?"
Right when Twilight asked that Violet, Abigail and Simon's eyes went wide. Twilight paused. "Oh I get it. You don't want to do another teleportation spell, right?"
Simon gulped. "Yeah I don't feel like losing my breakfast today."
Twilight smiled. "That's okay, oh yeah that's right. Alex, you said guys have GPS on your vehicles?"
I nodded. Twilight went over to her and brought out a small notebook. She wrote down the address that I relayed to her and handed it to Violet.
"Why do I have to plug in the address on GPS?" Violet whined, "Why can't Abigail or Simon do it?"
"Wow," said Abigail, "I had no idea that I got together with someone that does a half-ass job as an agent of the PPA. Wait a minute, aren't you supposed to be one of the top twenty of talented agents here?"
Violet nodded. "Yeah, so?"
"So tell me," said Abigail, "exactly how did you get that rank here?"
Violet groaned. "I worked hard and pulled my weight."
Abigail smiled. "Exactly!"
Simon and Twilight covered their mouths to stifle their laughter at Abigail scolding her new girlfriend Violet. If you ask me, it's about time someone did something like that. I think Violet's ego has been getting the best of her lately. I bit my bottom lip and the urge to laugh faded.
Simon pursed his lips. "Wow, I didn't realize it was that hard for you to laugh at something in front of people Alex."
"Well, he can laugh in front of me but when no one else is around," Twilight said.
Violet smiled. "Oh really? Maybe you should-"
"Seriously Violet!" Abigail snapped, "Honestly, stop pressing Alex's buttons already, sheez."
Simon and Twilight looked like they couldn't hold in their laughter at Abigail scolding Violet even if they wanted to, they almost fell out of their chairs they were laughing so hard. Even though I was amused by it, I didn't get the urge to laugh because I was more annoyed with Violet at the moment.
"Yeah, I'm going to wish you good luck on trying to control Violet, Abigail," I said, "No one can control her. If you can do that, I would be amazed by it."
That statement Simon and Twilight continued their laughter and it didn't seem like they were going to stop laughing anytime soon.
I looked over to see Violet's face turn red and she looked like she wanted to hide underneath the table. It serves her right too! Honestly, I was starting to enjoy seeing Violet embarrassed like this.
"Anyway, I think we should go catch Pinkie before the time limit," I said.
"Wait," said Violet, "what time limit do we have?"
"Oh, sorry about that." Twilight said. She took back her notebook and wrote down the time limit on when we should catch Pinkie.
Violet nodded. "Okay then, let's go!"
