As we headed towards the address that I saw in the vision I had about Pinkie and her friend Sally, I wondered if I should take a different approach with how to deal with this. Star?

What? Star thought.

I think I've been thinking about these visions all wrong.

What do you mean?

What I mean is, I thought, instead of facing the vision head on, maybe I can use the vision to get around the events that are going to happen?

Again, what do you mean? The vision hasn't changed course, so…

What I mean is, in the vision I saw where Pinkie and Sally were going to enter the building. Maybe I could have half of our group enter the same direction as I saw Pinkie and Sally entering. Then maybe I could have the other half of the group enter into the building in the opposite direction? I thought.

That's an idea, Star responded, I never thought of a half child using their visions that way. As a matter of fact, I've never heard of a half child doing that ever! You would be first the one to do things that way. I wonder if it will work?

Well, it's worth a shot isn't it?

When we landed at the parking lot in the apartment complex, I could tell by the curious look on Twilight's face that she thought I was planning something.

"You have an idea, don't you Alex?" Twilight asked.

I nodded. "Yeah, I was wondering about taking a different approach to my visions."

"Huh?" Twilight asked.

"Well I was thinking instead of facing the vision head on like I've been doing lately, I could use the vision to get around events that are going to happen in it," I explained, "I was thinking, I know where Pinkie and Sally are going to enter into the building. So I think if half of us go in the other direction of where Pinkie and Sally are going to enter and the other half enter into the opposite direction, that might even the odds of being able to catch Pinkie!"

Violet smiled at this idea. "Huh, that's not a bad idea, it's worth a shot."

"Okay, so Violet, you go with Abigail and Simon in the direction that Pinkie and Sally are going to enter the building. Terra, you're coming with me in the opposite direction." I suggested.

Violet and Abigail exchanged a flirting look with each other. Simon groaned, "Are you sure you want me to go with the lovebirds that can't keep their eyes off each other long enough to do a job?"

"Hey!" Violet and Abigail protested.

I smiled, "Yup, that's exactly why I want you to go with them. You should be able to keep their heads out of the gutter long enough for them to do their jobs."

"Fine." Simon grumbled.

Violet rolled her eyes. "Oh come on Simon, we're not that bad."

"Okay, fine," Simon replied, "okay, whatever."

"You know, that's still annoying," Abigail said.

"And you just added another reason on my list of reasons as to why you're annoying!" Simon snapped, "It's a wonder how we solve any cases because of your negative attitude."

Before Abigail and Simon could kill each other, Twilight stepped in between them and then looked back at me, "Uh, Alex? I think I'll go with Violet and Abigail so that Abigail and Simon don't kill each other, if you don't mind?"

Knowing that Twilight's suggestion was probably for the best, I nodded. "Sure, that's fine, Simon you're coming with me in the other direction."

"Works for me!" Simon said.

{Pinkie Pie}

I'm getting really annoyed with those pesky agents of the PPA being able to track me down so easily. Oh well, at least I'm able to escape just as easily as they're able to track me down. I told my friend Bon Bon that I needed to do some research before we headed over to the new place where I'm going to be living for a short while.

So I kidnapped a woman about my age who lives in the apartment next door. Her name was Isabel. I took down to the basement where my workshop was. This time I didn't bother to gag her, because I wanted back-up vocals on my 'smile song.' I haven't heard anyone do that ever since I got here. I didn't realize how much I've missed ponies doing that when I did it around town back in Equestria. Over here it's different, if you start singing out of nowhere and ask others to jump in and sing with you, they'll just tell you to get lost.

After I put Isabel on the table and tied her down, I changed into my pony form and stood there smiling at her.

"Isabel, do you know how to sing?" I asked.

Isabel shook her head and her eyes were wide as saucers, "No, I don't! I can't even carry a tune! What's going on Roxy? Why am I here? I'm scared!"

"Don't worry Isabel," I said, "I'm just going to do some research on you, that's all."

Isabel paused. "Uh, research?"

I smiled and nodded. "Yup! Research. Now I'll put you through the paces of the song. The song is about smiling!"

"Smiling?" Isabel squeaked.

I nodded. "Uh-huh, smiling!"

So I showed Isabel how to sing the song. I grimaced when I heard her sing because she was right, she couldn't even carry a tune. Yikes! This human can't sing at all! Oh well, it's better than nothing.

I kept Isabel singing right down to the very end. She was singing with her last breath as I drove the tool I use to kill people into her. "Sorry Isabel, it was fun while it lasted. But Pinkie needs to do her research."

I took out my chainsaw in anticipation of what was coming next. I chopped up the body parts. I loved doing my research because it wasn't really research.

I loved the taste of human blood and even though normal ponies don't eat meat, ever since I came here I've been eating meat. Not the flesh of my fellow ponies, I'd never do that. The flesh of humans is what I've been eating after I've drained their blood. I drink their blood too. It's a nice, delicious snack.

{Hugo}

Well now, I wonder what Alex is planning. I thought. I watched Alex in curiosity as I saw him send his friend Violet, Abigail, and Princess Twilight around one direction of the building they were at. He and his other friend Simon are going around the opposite direction. Zane was working today so I would be able to watch Alex's plan unfold in peace and not interruptions.

Alex stood at the stairway. He smiled at his friend Simon and said, "You might want to put the sunglasses on that the PPA gave you. It will help you record information and protect your eyes from the flash of the stunner bullets."

Simon nodded. "Sure, got it."

"Don't pull out your regular gun unless Pinkie presents her gun like she did last time," Alex instructed.

Simon nodded. Alex nodded too. "Good, now let's go."

Now this is interesting, I wonder if he saw this in one of his visions or something? I thought.

I kept watching and wondering what Alex was getting ready to do.

{Alex}

I'm not sure if this plan will work Alex, Star thought, Although I never saw a half child do this with their visions, but okay.

Listen, I don't know if this will work either, I thought, But it just might. Discord did say there's loopholes in my visions. We can't see past the end of them. I don't know what's going to happen after the vision ends unless I have another vision after the fact.

Okay then. Star thought. I could tell by the sound of her voice that she seemed really anxious. I don't blame her, this is a pretty risky idea but at this point, I was willing to try anything if it meant catching Pinkie and bringing her back to Equestria.

"So when exactly is Pinkie Pie coming?" Simon asked.

I looked up at the clock and it was at the exact moment that Pinkie would be coming up the steps in the other direction.

That's when I heard Pinkie's voice, "Why you little bitch! I don't know how you're able to find me so easily and it's getting on my nerves!"

"I don't care, you rule breaker! You are an element of harmony bearer!" Twilight shouted, "You should really come back to Equestria, I'm pretty sure if you come back willingly, I can talk to-"

"No Twilight, I'm not going back!" Pinkie sneered.

I saw the flash of a gun firing off and I heard someone shrieking in pain.

"I hope that's Pinkie that got hit!" Simon said.

I ran upstairs as fast as I could and we looked in horror to see that Pinkie wasn't the one that got hit but it was her friend Sally that got hit.

Pinkie snarled, "How dare you hurt my friend!"

"How dare we hurt your friend?" Twilight sneered. "How dare you go running about killing people and ponies just because you feel like it! What about their lives? What gives you the right to-"

"Oh please Twilight," Pinkie snapped, "spare me your lecture! Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah!"

"Why Pinkie? Tell me why! I don't understand!" Twilight sobbed. "You were such a kind pony, and now… Now… You're just an evil bastard!"

Pinkie rolled her eyes. "And your whole 'spark of friendship' thing is really getting on my nerves!"

Pinkie looked at her friend Sally and gave her an evil smile. She pulled out her gun and pointed it at Sally. I looked to see that Sally was actually a pony, who she really was. I had no idea.

Pinkie laughed a wicked laugh, "I'll make a deal with you. If you let me go, my friend doesn't need to die. If not, then she will. It's your choice, me or her."

"Pinkie, no!" Twilight cried.

For what seemed like the longest moment of my life as time seemed to slow down, there was a stand still between us and Pinkie. I guess Pinkie got bored with waiting for our answer. She fired her at her pony friend and thankfully Twilight stepped in front of the pony Pinkie just fired her gun at and put up a protection shield. The bullet bounced off the shield and Pinkie touched her pendant on her magic necklace and disappeared.

Once Pinkie disappeared, all of us stood there in shock at what just happened.

"Well," I said, "didn't see that coming!"

"What!" Everyone else gasped.

"But you can see the future!" Twilight stammered, "How could you have not seen it!"

I sighed, "Discord did say that there were loopholes with the visions. I can't see past the vision unless I get another one. I don't get visions every waking moment of the day. I'm pretty sure my father Hugo doesn't either."

Right on cue, I had a vision, but it wasn't like the others. I was tied down to a chair and Pinkie was standing in front of me with a menacing smile. She started asking me to sing her 'smile song' along with her. I refused to do so and she snarled at me, "There's just no singing with you humans is there?"

"That's because we aren't ponies!" I snapped, "And I'll never sing along with a crazy pony like you, not even if you paid me to!"

I didn't show fear, I showed her annoyance as she took out what looked like a big fishing hook.

"Sorry Alex," said Pinkie, "but Pinkie needs to do her research!"

When she drove the fishing hook into my chest that was when the vision ended.

I opened my eyes and I tried not to panic. Twilight and everyone else looked at me with concern.

Twilight frowned. "What's wrong Alex? I know you had a vision but this time you look panicked. You don't usually panic when you have a vision!"

I took a deep breath and let it out hoping this would calm me down but it didn't. "It looks like I'm going to be the victim of Pinkie's research."

I looked down at Star to see that she was glowing green. Why I chose to stay the course on this I have no idea.

Everyone else gasped at this information and Twilight looked panicked the most. I don't blame her.
