Once we got through the portal, I looked in surprise to see what looked like a huge giant of a person standing in front of me. He was wearing some type of blue robes as he stood there smiling at me and Twilight. It was hard to make eye contact with him because he was so tall. He was wearing brown sandals on his feet. It reminded me of some sort of character from a history book about the Romans and their culture.

The man rolled his eyes and gave a belly laugh, "Yes, yes I know I'm tall, right? Let me introduce myself, my name is Hugo."

"So you're my dad then, huh?" I asked. "How come you haven't been in the picture most of my life?"

"Well, it's complicated. Unlike you I have rules that I have to follow," Hugo explained, "I can only go out of my realm to date different women and if they agree to bear my offspring, I get them pregnant and then I have to go back into my realm."

"Okay then," I said, "that's weird."

"Yeah, I know," said Uncle Zane, "that's exactly why I don't want the job of being a ruler over this realm at all. I can't imagine what Bear goes through in ruling his realm. Trust me, I don't want to know."

Uncles Zane and Hugo laughed at this thought but I can't speak for Twilight but I didn't think it was funny. Twilight and I exchanged a look of confusion.

Hugo smiled. "Yeah I know about the confusion, but like I said. It's complicated. That's why I couldn't stop your mother from disciplining you for laughing, in my honest opinion she did it because she was jealous about you being half god and all. I tried to reason with her via writing a letter. But as you can see, it didn't work."

"No kidding!" Twilight said, "But since Uncle Zane said you've been watching us through a portal, you've probably seen how I've gotten Alex to laugh in front of people."

"And you got him to break up with his evil girlfriend Mary too," Hugo chuckled.

"Uh, Mr. Hugo sir, since you're such a stalker as Uncle Zane puts it," I said, "do you watch me and Twilight having sex? Because if you do that means I have a pervert for a father."

While Uncle Zane couldn't stop laughing at this thought, Hugo was speechless. "Ah, ha, ha, but no, those intimate moments are yours to share with your soon to be wife."

I raised an eyebrow. I wasn't quite sure if I believed his answer but I had to take his word for it. "Okay, I guess I'll just have to take your word for it."

"That makes two of us," Twilight agreed.

"So exactly why did you want to see us?" I asked.

"Ah yes," said Hugo, "I wanted to give you a gift, to congratulate you two on your engagement."

Twilight and I exchanged a look. I wondered what Hugo might possibly have in mind to give us. Hugo took out of his pocket a red ruby crystal in the shape of a heart. He split the crystal in two. One half of the crystal turned into a ring and the other half turned into a necklace. Hugo handed the half of the crystal that turned into a ring to me. "Here you go, put this on your ring finger where your engagement ring is."

I nodded and did what Hugo told me too. The ring combined with my engagement ring and it glowed for a bit and the glow disappeared. Hugo then handed the other half of the crystal that turned into a necklace that had a gold chain with a ruby heart on it to Twilight. "Okay, put this around your neck, Princess."

Twilight did as she was told and it glowed for a bit and then the light dimmed, she looked as confused as I was about this gift. "Ah, what's this gift for?"

Hugo smiled. "This is the amulet of true love, it only does what it just did to confirm your love for one another. Your love will stay with you wherever you go. If one of you is in need the two halves will find their way to each other."

I looked over to see Uncle Zane with happy tears in his eyes and it looked like he was getting ready to turn up the waterworks. Hugo looked over at Uncle Zane and raised his eyebrow. "Don't you think you're being a little over dramatic Zane?"

"What?" Uncle Zane sniffled. "It's just that every time I've seen that amulet handed out, it doesn't work."

Hugo rolled his eyes. "Well of course it wouldn't work if it's not true love, duh!"

I titled my head. "Wait a minute! So you're saying the amulet actually hasn't worked before?"

Hugo nodded. "Mhm, unfortunately right when it's thought that a couple has found true love when the amulet was given to them, nothing happened. The fact that this happened with you and Princess Twilight-"

Twilight interrupted, "Oh no, don't call me Princess please. I may be a person of royalty but we're getting ready to be in-laws," I could see she was getting ready to say something else but she stopped herself. "Oh crap!"

I raised an eyebrow, "What is it, Twilight?"

"We're gonna have to meet your mother sooner or later," said Twilight, "That might not be pleasant especially if we laugh in front of her."

"She's not laying a hand on you if I got something to say about it!" I said, "Nope, not happening, I could care less if she approves of our engagement or not!"

Hugo paused when I said that. "Uh, Alex? I hate to break it to you but your mother died last week."

"What?" I gasped, "What did she die of?"

"A heart attack," Hugo sighed, "don't know what caused it but her soul did wind up here in the Underground. I can summon her so you can speak to her if you want?"

I nodded. "Sure, that would be fine."

Hugo summoned my mother's soul to the throne room where Twilight and I were. She smiled when she saw me. Her smile disappeared when she saw Twilight. She narrowed her eyes at Twilight. "Who is this standing next to my son?"

"Excuse me?" I snarled, "She's my finance and her name is Twilight."

"Don't you dare be rude to me, boy!" Mother snapped, She charged at me like a bull and Twilight stepped in front of her and lit up her horn. "Let me through to my son, obviously he needs to learn some manners again."

"What gives you the right to lay a hand on him just because you feel like it?" Twilight growled, "In case you didn't notice, Alex is a grown man and he's getting married soon. Not to mention he's a fully developed half child of Hugo! I think it's you who needs to learn some manners on how you talk to your son."

"Why you little bitch!" Mother shouted, "How dare you!"

Twilight stomped her hoof on the ground. "How dare I? How dare you!"

Before the situation could escalate even further Hugo shouted, "THAT'S ENOUGH!"

He put up a hand shot a beam of light at Mother's soul and it froze her in place. "What are you doing Hugo? Let me go, so I can-"

Hugo snarled at her. "Nope, it's not happening anymore Sasha! I tried to reason with you on your harsh discipline with Alex and it was because of you that he couldn't laugh in front of everyone and be okay with it. Now you're trying to add more trauma to him? What on Earth are you thinking? Are you jealous that Alex is half god and you're just a regular human?"

Mother paused, and from the look on her face, she was just as bad as Mary trying to figure out some sort of excuse to try and make me feel bad about things.

Hugo tapped his foot on the ground and waited for Mother's response, "Well? What do you have to say for yourself, hmm?"

Mother sighed, "Okay, fine, you got me, I'm jealous! There, happy now?"

Hugo nodded. "Why yes, yes I am. Now I think it's time for you to be on your merry way."

Hugo waved Mother away and I just stood there, stunned by what happened. "Well, that solves that issue."

Hugo sighed, "Sorry about that Alex, I guess your mother was too stubborn for her own good. Oh well, I think it's time for you two to go back to the surface to start planning your wedding."

Twilight and I nodded. Hugo opened up a portal and he sent us back to the PPA HQ.

Once we got back to HQ I saw that Twilight had a twinkle in her eye. I smiled. "You can't wait to get started on planning the wedding can you?"

Twilight nodded. "Yup, and I can't wait for you to meet the rest of my friends! Rarity will be very excited to help make your outfit for the wedding. Of course, she gets overly excited when it comes down to special occasions for me," She sighed, "Although it would've been nice to have Pinkie as one of my bridesmaids, and if only the meeting with your mother would've gone over better."

I looked away. "Yeah I know. It's okay Twilight, keep in mind weddings are happy occasions even if planning for them doesn't turn out the way you hoped it would."

Twilight made me look at her and she kissed me. We heard a chorus of the word 'aw' when we broke the kiss. We looked in surprise to see that somehow, instead of landing in Agent Lawrence's office from where we came from, we had landed up in the café of the PPA HQ.

After we heard the word 'awe' we heard the words 'Surprise Alex and Twilight! Congratulations on your engagement!' Balloons and confetti rained down on us and I couldn't help but laugh because I knew this was Violet's idea of a party. When everyone heard me practically everyone in the room gasped.

"My, my, my, Agent Shipman," said Agent Lawrence, "was that a laugh I just heard coming from you?"

I paused, not knowing what to say. Twilight chuckled, "Yup! That was a laugh! You can thank me for that!"

Twilight stood there and since she was now back in human form, she pointed a finger to herself proudly and puffed out her chest with pride.

I heard Star laughing in my head, Oh yeah, she's innocent alright!

I laughed again at Star's reaction to Twilight's cute declaration of her being able to make me laugh in front of people finally.

"Oh, and guess what?" Violet said.

Twilight turned around and looked at her. "What?"

"Your friends are here from Equestria, don't worry they got clearance to be here," Violet said, "Princess Luna helped with that of course."

Fluttershy was the first one to run up to Twilight and she gave her a big hug. "Twilight! I'm so happy to hear about your engagement to Alex!" She looked at me and smiled, "See? I told you she's taken a liking to you!"

"Ah…" I felt my face turn red.

Then I heard a high-pitched voice from behind Fluttershy, "My, my, Twilight, your soon to be husband that you've picked is one hunk of a human!"

Twilight laughed, "Thanks Rarity!"

Rarity looked like what was classified as a unicorn and she had white fur and purple hair. She had a cutie mark that was of three diamonds. She had the biggest smile on her face and she made me uncomfortable by examining me from head to toe. It reminded me of what happened when I first met Twilight.

Twilight tapped Rarity on the shoulder. "Uh, Rarity? Can you stop looking at my fiancé like that? You're making him uncomfortable."

Rarity stopped looking at me and gave Twilight a sheepish smile. "Oh, sorry Twilight. As I stated when I first saw him, he is one hunk of a human!" Rarity when she saw Twilight was in her human form, "Uh, darling, why are you transformed in your human form?"

"Oh sorry, I guess I just got used to being a human while I'm here helping with the capture of Pinkie," Twilight replied. There was a flash of light and Twilight was back in her pony form.

Lucky Bee came up from behind me and laughed, "It's too bad the princess has claimed you now. That just means I won't be able to hit on you anymore."

I rolled my eyes. "Yeah, right Ms. Bee. The fact that I had a girlfriend before didn't stop you from hitting on me."

"Well this time I can't do it anymore, considering you're getting married to somepony of royalty," Lucky Bee said, "It's actually against Equestrian Law because if I do, well you don't want to know. Now it would be different if you were to hit on me. But I doubt that will happen any time soon. Darn, it sucks to be me."

"Yeah, it's against the law because that can be seen as an assault on a person of royalty," Twilight said.

"Seriously?" I gasped, "Something as harmless as flirting can be seen as an assault? Really?"

Twilight nodded. "Yup especially if it's not wanted, because further down the line it can lead to something else more serious. What you just said earlier confirms that you don't want her flirting with you. So I got my eye on you Lucky!"

Lucky Bee gulped, backing away from me and giving a nervous laugh, "Sorry princess, it won't happen again, honest it won't!"

Twilight gave an evil snort and nodded. "Good, see that it doesn't."

I heard Simon clear his throat to get my attention. I looked at him. "What's up?"

"I tried to tell you what that vision meant," Simon said, "but I'm going to take a wild guess and say you figured it out for yourself. Oh and look! I got my badge, I'm officially an agent for the PPA!"

"That makes two of us!" Abigail cheered.

Abigail and Simon showed me their badges that stated they were agents for the PPA. Simon's badge said Agent Simon Carter on it and Abigail's badge said Agent Abigail Ryker on it.

I blinked. "Wow, that was fast! Weren't you two offered the job a few hours ago? It usually takes a couple of days for the paperwork to go through."

Agent Lawrence laughed, "Well yeah, that does happen. True, they are Agents for the PPA, once the paperwork goes through they'll be sent out on assignments just like when it happened with you and Agent Client. Who knows? They might move to top rankings soon."

She looked at Abigail and Violet holding hands now with their fingers laced together and somehow they were already lost in each other's eyes. She sighed, "Too bad I couldn't snag Agent Client before Agent Ryker got to her."

I snorted, "Well I guess that's what you get for playing hard to get and not dropping her hints. Although Violet doesn't know how to pick up on the obvious. I'm not sure if you'd want to be with her anyway because she's not easy to control, even if you're her boss."

"Hey! I heard that Alex!" Violet growled.

"If you must know I have Violet under control just fine," Abigail said defensively.

"Uh, huh?" Agent Lawrence said.

Violet deadpanned, "You don't want to know."

I gave a mischievous smile because I had half a mind to use this as an opportunity for payback on her. Violet picked up on what I wanted to do and her eyes went wide in horror. "Oh no you don't Alex!"

I gave her an innocent look after that. "What? I wasn't going to say anything."

Abigail pulled me off to the side and whispered into my ear about what I could tell Agent Lawrence about how she controls Violet. I snorted and went over and whispered into Agent Lawrence's ear what Abigail told me to tell her.

Agent Lawrence gasped. "Seriously? Yeah, I don't envy her situation."

Violet narrowed her eyes at me. "What did you tell her, Alex?"

I whistled a small tune and shifted my gaze. "Nothing, I didn't tell her anything."

"Uh-huh," said Violet, "sure you didn't."

"Okay guys, that's enough talking," Simon said. "It's time to celebrate!"

"Hurray!" Everyone cheered.

I had to admit, this was the happiest I've ever felt in my life.
