The Pony Protection Agency

Just like the seer said, I knew exactly where to go. The first street was Martin Ave. I confirmed that we were on the right track by giving Violet hand signals. Right before we got to the next street I was blinded by a bright flash of light, but it only lasted for a second. I signaled for Violet to pull over once I regained my vision. Once we pulled over, I got off my bike and helped Princess Twilight get off next.

I heard Violet's voice but it sounded muffled because my ears were ringing. "Are you okay Alex?"

The next vision I saw came in a series of images and I couldn't see anything else. From what I could tell, it signaled that Pinkie Pie was no longer at the Watering Hole. I was starting to feel dizzy as I kept seeing the images go through my mind. The last image I saw was Pinkie Pie was at some sort of business in an office. There was a sign on the door that said: AE Corp. This was the last image I saw before everything went dark.

When the world started to slowly come back into focus, I heard Princess Twilight and Violet talking and from the sound of it, they were very worried. I don't blame them, considering I passed out before we even got to our destination.

"He's been out for a while. What happened to him?" Princess Twilight asked.

"I don't know," said Violet, "it happened shortly after we started traveling. I'm wondering if maybe he had a vision? You know, because he is a new seer now."

I tried to sit up, but the room started to spin, so I laid back down. I heard Princess Twilight say, "Hey look, he's awake!"

The sound of people speaking started to hurt my ears. Not because I didn't like the sound of it or anything. The sound of Violet's voice hurt my ears too. "Ow! Could you guys lower the volume?"

Violet sounded confused, "Alex, we're talking like normal, what's wrong?"

"Hmmm, I think I can help." Princess Twilight said.

Princess Twilight touched a finger to my forehead. I felt a small surge of power go through and instantly my ears stopped hurting and I was able to sit up. I opened my eyes and looked around to see that we were in some sort of hotel room. I looked over to see that sitting on a nearby chair was my jacket folded up neatly, and my shoes were sitting on top of it. My vehicle was folded into a box and sitting on top of my jacket next to my shoes.

I blinked, "What did you just do princess?"

"I did a spell that I've been working on for years now," Princess Twilight answered, "I worked with doctors at the hospitals to perfect it. It helps heal pain and it helps a patient recover faster. The only problem is that I think it could be tweaked some more because it only seems to work for minor injuries."

"Oh," I said.

"So what happened?" Violet asked.

I sighed, "I had a vision, it hit me like a ton of bricks. Pinkie Pie's not at the Watering Hole anymore."

"Where is she?" Princess Twilight asked.

"It's a place called AE Corp. I don't know about you but I say we'd better head out and catch her before I have another vision!" I suggested.

Violet and Princess Twilight nodded and I put my shoes and jacket on. We headed to AE Corp. When we got there, Violet and I folded up our vehicles and went inside. I saw Violet biting her tongue to stop herself from laughing at Princess Twilight looking around the building and I could tell she wanted to examine everything. I found her reaction cute. Wow, she's like a child right now. She is new to Earth, so yeah, I don't blame her for wanting to look around.

"Uh, Terra?" I said, "Try not to examine everything. This is a business, and we're here to find Pinkie Pie, got it?"

I smiled at seeing Princess Twilight's reaction to what I said as she was holding herself back from doing what she wanted to. Violet came up beside me and nudged me on the shoulder, "What?"

"I know you have a hard time laughing in front of people. But I saw that smile Alex," teased Violet, "You like her, don't you?"

"Yeah, no," I said quickly, "as I said before, I already have a girlfriend."

Violet snorted, "Uh-huh, whatever you say, Alex. So what section is Pinkie Pie in?"

I remembered In one of the images I saw, there was a sign on a door and it said: HR Roxy Supero, visits by appointments only.

Another one of the images that I saw before I passed out was Pinkie Pie in the form of Roxy coming down the elevators on the right side of the building. I pointed to the elevators, "She'll be coming down the stairs next to the elevators. She'll be coming really soon. Violet, have your badge out and I'll have mine out too, okay?"

Violet nodded. I looked over at the elevators and right on cue, Pinkie Pie came running down the stairs. She was about to make a beeline for the exit when we stopped her.

"Pinkie Pie!" Princess Twilight growled, "You're coming back to Equestria with us right now! How dare you come here without permission!"

Pinkie Pie paused and smirked when she saw Princess Twilight. "Twilight? Is that you? Because you sound just like her, whoever you are."

"Well duh!" Princess Twilight said, "Who else would they send after you?"

Pinkie Pie rolled her eyes, "What makes you think I'm going back to Equestria willingly?"

"Well you should because you're an element of harmony bearer," Princess Twilight scolded.

Pinkie Pie gave an evil snort, "Yeah, no."

I remembered this part of the vision was when a flash of light happened.

Oh fuck! I thought. I made a hand signal for Violet to pull out her sunglasses and her stunner gun. I did the same thing. The stunner guns we have are a non-lethal way to bring rogue ponies back to HQ so the PPA can send them back to Equestria. The bullets inside the stunner gun have the same effect as a taser would but the voltage is a lot higher because ponies can resist the shock of a normal taser. If needed we can turn the magazine around, the bullets in it turn into regular bullets. We can only use the regular bullets if it's necessary.

After I signaled Violet to pull out her sunglasses and stunner gun and she did. Princess Twilight looked at us, "What's going on?"

"Stay behind me," Violet cautioned.

Princess Twilight nodded and did as she was told.

"Well then," I said, "it looks like we'll just have to take you back by force!"

Pinkie Pie gave me an evil smirk, "Oh really?"

"Yeah! Really!" I snapped.

Pinkie Pie rolled her eyes, "Wow, you agents of the PPA are so dumb!"

Violet and I fired our stunner bullets at her. The bullets didn't harm her at all. They bounced off her as if they hit a wall. Pinkie Pie grinned, "Did you really think it was going to be that easy?"

"How did you-" I asked.

Pinkie Pie rolled her eyes again, "I updated my magic necklace to include a shield on it. So, if you'll excuse me, I'll be taking my leave now."

Pinkie Pie touched the pendant on her necklace, and with a flash of light, she disappeared.

"Great!" Princess Twilight said after she stepped out from behind Violet, "She got away! Pinkie you rule breaker!"

"Nice, real nice," I growled, "I didn't see that part happening. I just saw a flash of light and that was it. Well, shit!"

Violet smiled after she put her sunglasses and stunner gun away, "It's okay Alex, I'm pretty sure there are loopholes in vision, especially since you're a new seer and all."

I rolled my eyes, "Gee, thanks for the encouragement, but these stupid visions don't make it any easier. I think-"

I stopped myself from what I was getting ready to say next because I realized something. I've actually been having these visions for as long as I can remember. As a matter of fact, I had a vision the day before I followed that rogue pony and landed a job as an agent at PPA. I also had a vision about me and Violet meeting Princess Luna a couple of nights before it happened.

Violet raised an eyebrow, "What's wrong, because you look shocked Alex."

I let out a slow breath, "I just realized something."

"What?" Violet asked.

"I've been having these visions for as long as I can remember. I don't think I'm a new seer," I responded, "I think I was always a seer and I didn't know it!"

"What!" Violet and Princess Twilight gasped.

"What I want to know is, why did the last vision I had hit me harder than the ones I've had before?" I asked. At this point, I felt nothing but confusion.

Princess Twilight looked like she was thinking about something. Then she looked like she remembered something. "I'm not exactly sure why this happened. But I know of someone that can help, he specializes in power surges."

I titled my head, "Huh?"

"Yup, power surges," Princess Twilight explained, "I think that might be what happened to you. The guy's name that I'm talking about is Discord. He's the spirit of chaos and disharmony. He used to be a bad guy, but don't worry, he's a good guy now."

I paused, "O...Kay. Exactly how can Discord help?".

"Well, he can see the future as you can. If you had a power surge as I suspect you did, he can give some pointers on how to control it," Princess Twilight said.

"But we can't go back to Equestria without authorization! How can I-" I panicked.

Princess Twilight rolled her eyes, "I'm a princess, a member of the royal family. I'm pretty sure Princess Luna won't mind if you come back to Equestria with me. It's because we're friends now!"

I paused. "Exactly how are we friends when we just met?"

"Well, we're considered co-workers now right? So I consider any ally of mine to be a friend," Princess Twilight said, "I am the Princess of Friendship, so since you're an ally of mine you're my friend. Unless you give me a reason not to consider you my friend, you're my friend, it's as simple as that."

"Aww, isn't that nice Alex," Violet teased, "you're her friend now. Keep turning on the charm and she'll just want to ride more than your bike!"

"Seriously Violet?" I snapped, "Sex jokes and at a time like this? In case you didn't notice we're on an assignment here!"

Princess Twilight paused and tilted her head, "Uh, sex jokes?"

Violet smirked, "What do you know about mating rituals in Equestria?"

"Oh yes, I've heard stories about that in Equestria. I-" Princess Twilight stopped herself from saying whatever she was going to say. Her face turned red after she realized what Violet was talking about.

"Good job Violet!" I growled, "You just had to embarrass the girl. As I just said, we're on an assignment, we don't have time for this!"

Violet didn't say a word, just standing there as she rolled her eyes.

"Well, it looks like we're headed back to HQ," I said.

When we got back to HQ, Princess Twilight stepped through the portal without us at first and I'm going to assume that Princess Luna gave us the authorization to come through the portal again without bringing the rogue pony with us.

Violet and I were given the badges that turn us into ponies. We used them and turned into ponies and stepped through the portal with Princess Twilight. Once Princess Luna saw us, she seemed puzzled, "So why did Princess Twilight want me to have you two back so early?"

Before I could say anything, Princess Twilight spoke for me, "Well you see Princess Luna, Alex has become on Earth what's called a 'seer.'"

Princess Luna blinked, "A seer?"

"Um, yes it's someone that can see the future as Discord can," Princess Twilight said, "Alex here had a real doozy of a vision that hit him pretty hard. He passed out because of it. It didn't happen until we went to a place called 'The Eye' and the seer that worked told him that he was a new seer."

For some reason, Princess Luna's jaw dropped, "Wait… Did you say 'The Eye'? If it's who I think it is, that's the same woman who predicted you would become an Alicorn Twilight!"

Princess Twilight tilted her head, "Okay, what's the big deal?"

"The big deal is when something like that gets predicted by an actual legit seer, then it's a very important event!" Princess Luna exclaimed, "Now the seer predicted that Alex is a new seer?"

Princess Twilight nodded, "Yup."

"Actually I don't think I'm a new seer, " I said.

Princess Luna raised an eyebrow, "Oh? How so?"

"Well, I've been having visions for as long as I can remember, " I explained, "For some reason when the seer at 'The Eye' told me I was a seer, that's when the vision I had after that hit me like a ton of bricks."

"That's why I asked you to summon Discord for me, Princess Luna," Princess Twilight said.

"Well, well, well, so we finally meet, Alex?" I heard a voice say. I turned around to see what looked like a creature that was made up of all sorts of animal parts. I wanted to say 'it's alive' because he reminded me of Frankenstein.

"I'mDiscord," The creature said.

"Okay," I said, "Hi, I would say my name but you already know it."

Discord chuckled, "Yes, and I know you're actually a human in pony form! Don't worry, you won't have to stay in pony form for long. You can change back to human once we get to the cottage. I saw in my latest vision that you have a little problem with a power surge."

Princess Twilight smiled, "You know something? I say this very rarely, but boy am I glad to see you!"

Discord rolled his eyes, "Yeah, yeah, anyway, come along with me you three."

When we got to the cottage, Discord opened the door and we were greeted by a pony with yellow fur and light pink hair. Her cutie mark was that of three butterflies. When she saw Discord, she gave him a peck on the cheek.

"HiFluttershy," Discord said, giving the pony a peck on the cheek.

Fluttershy saw us and smiled, "Are these the humans in pony form that you told me were coming today?"

Discord nodded, "Yup!"

He pointed to me, "This is Alex," he then pointed to Violet, "and this is Violet."

Discord turned to me, "It's okay guys, you two can turn back into humans now."

Violet and I nodded and did as we were told. Fluttershy saw us and she beamed with excitement. "Wow! I've never seen a human before! I mean, I've heard so much about them, I never thought I'd actually meet one of them."

Princess Twilight chuckled, "Yeah I know, they're kind of funny looking too. Especially Alex over here."

"Hey!" I said.

"The reason why I brought them here dear Fluttershy," said Discord, "is Alex is a seer like I am! He had a little power surge before he came to see me."

Fluttershy tilted her head and looked like she was examining me just like Princess Twilight did when we first met. Seriously? Does every pony have to do that when I meet them?

"Oh, uh sorry Alex," said Fluttershy, "I was trying to confirm it and you did have a power surge and as I just said, I've never seen a human before."

Discord groaned, "That's just like you Fluttershy, always wanting to confirm things for yourself. Okay Alex and Violet, come over here and sit down on the couch."

Discordsnapped his claw and pulled a couch out of thin air. Violet and I looked at Discord in awe when he did that.

He smiled, "Yes I know, I'm awesome, aren't I?"

He snapped his claw again and this time he pulled a chair out of thin air. He gripped me in his magic and made me sit down, he snapped his claw and pulled a rope out of thin air, and tied me to the chair with it.

"Okay, why did you feel the need to tie me to the chair?" I asked.

"You see Alex, this process is going to be very uncomfortable," explained Discord, "it's necessary for me to see how much your powers have grown. It's going to take a few minutes to do this."

Discord wasn't kidding about the process being uncomfortable because he was staring at me in the eye. There was a blinding flash of light and I kept hearing Discord say, "I see… I see…"

After Discord finished with whatever he did, the flash of light subsided and I opened my eyes. It gave me a splitting headache and the room started to spin.

"I know this whole process takes a lot out of you. I know because my father did it to me all the time growing up," Discord said. It seemed like his voice was off in the distance because of the world spinning, "Your powers are starting to grow alright, although they seem to be growing at a steady pace. Once you gain control of your powers, you'll be able to see your visions more clearly. However, there is a loophole in the visions."

I groaned because of the pain, "What might that be?"

"For starters, you can't see past the end of them," Discord said, "And sometimes, the vision might change course and that can hit pretty hard because it happens in the blink of an eye."

"Is that why I had the power surge?" I groaned.

"Yup!You'll have to stay here for a couple of days so you can recover," Discord said. "Violet, would you like to stay here with Alex instead of going back to the PPA?"

"Sure, I don't mind staying here at all," Violet answered.

"And my dear Twilight, I'm assuming you have work to do at the castle?" Discord asked.

Princess Twilight replied, "Nope. It's because I'm working on tracking that rule breaker Pinkie Pie for going over to Earth without permission. It's ponies like her that make us look bad! I'm staying right here until Alex is nursed back to health!"

I heard Violet snort, "Aww that's so cute Alex! You have a protector now! Yup, pretty soon she's-"

"Don't even finish that sentence, Violet!" I snapped.

I didn't say another word because of the pain. I couldn't do much either, eventually, it was lights out for the moment.
