Author's Note
This chapter is written completely in first person point of view,

Do not be mistaken and think I added 'Dark' tag on here by mistake, this was the introduction chapter, it gets a lot darker in the next chapters.
Chapter 1 - Comicon, the gateway to other worlds
After nearly a half hour of driving, I had arrived at Comicon to set up my shop. Normally I wouldn’t attend Comicon because I do not like the big crowds that attend those conventions. This year was different, I had planned to attend this convention because last year my friends invited me to join them at the convention for this year. I was a little skeptical at first because I had heard stories of people disappearing after attending those conventions, but they brushed it off as fake news.
By the time Comicon was only a month away, my friends told me that they could no longer attend to it because they had important things come up and were forced to take the entire week off because of it. Though by the time they canceled the plan to attend I had already spent more than $2,000 on getting my costume ready, so I decided that I had already spent the money so I might as well go. My costume Chisaki from My hero academia, more commonly known as Overhaul, but no matter how hard I looked, I could never find his signature mask so I stuck with the fabric one he wore before he was a villain.
Once I had placed down my trade and barter shop, I sat there for a while before the people began to flood in. While I had several successful sales, my stand was rarely noticed compared to the hundreds of other ones. It was uneventful compared to what I thought would happen after hearing reports of people disappearing, but I didn’t know what to expect because those reports were very vague.
“Excuse me,” A man in an Estarossa cosplay said as he stopped in front of my stand, “I see you don’t have Overhaul’s signature mask, so I am willing to trade.”
“Hm?” I said after I looked up from my phone, “You’re trading Chisaki’s mask? What would you like for it?”
“That one,” he said, pointing to one of my swords, “My little brother and I are cosplaying as Estarossa and Zeldris, I had a hard time finding his sword so I am glad you have one like it.”
“Glad to help,” I replied as I handed him the replica sword as he handed me the mask, “Is that all?”
“Yes,” He said before shaking my hand, “Thanks man, you're a lifesaver.”
“No problem.” I said as the pair of brothers walked off
When I put on the new mask, I could breathe so much easier than wearing a thick piece of cloth strapped to my face. To be honest, it felt like I was breathing clean air that came straight out of a purifier with not even a tenth of its weight on my face. By the end of the day I decided to stop by the few other vendors that remained, after I had put everything of mine up, most of the vendors had extremely upcharge items that would be a scam buying. Before I left I stopped by a food vendor that commonly went to during the convention.
“Hey.” The guy behind the booth said, “What can I get for you?”
I looked at the menu and saw that it was mostly different kinds of bread. ‘The souls of the innocent! ’ I thought to myself “A bagel” ‘NOOOOOO! ’ “Two Bagels''
“Okay here you go.” he said as he pulled out a bagel, and placed them each in a napkin. “That’ll be $5”
I paid for them before I raised my mask and crammed the first one into my mouth. Then I took the other one before I walked off. After the convention had officially ended I was walking back to my car with half of my other bagel still uneaten. Once I had gotten about halfway to my car, my body started going numb. First I thought that my left foot was falling asleep before it crept up my leg to my knee then hip.
“He put something in my bagel!” I said angrily
So those were my final words before I die, huh? I felt my body collapse over my numb leg before I fell and hit the hard asphalt before I lost all consciousness.
When I awoke, I felt part of my body covered in dust like I had been lying in a pile of dirt for a few hours. My body reflexively twitched from the sensation of dirt on my skin. How long was I knocked out for? Is it nighttime? I don’t see any stars. When my eyes finally adjusted to lighting, I saw a stoney ceiling staring at me. I jumped when I realized I didn’t know where I was, well I know that I am in a cave, but I don’t know how to get home. I look for any way I could’ve gotten here, but there was no other way than the main entrance.
“Where am I?” I said as I exited the cave which I soon found out was located on a cliff
As I looked off the cliff, there wasn’t that far of a drop, or at least not compared to other cliffs. This was just a small ledge, and judging by the distance between me and the treetops, I’d say I am only about 10 to 18 feet off the ground. Maybe a little more, maybe a little less, but I shouldn’t be too far off the ground. But jumping off the ledge would hurt very badly if it didn’t kill me. I returned to the cave to think, I took off my gloves and stuck them in my coat pockets as I thought how I would return to civilization. I took a rock and began using it to etch onto the wall what I was thinking.
The rock suddenly exploded as my hand twitched in pain from the shards hitting it. My first thought was that it was a highly compact explosive powder, but upon closer inspection the shards were surrounding my wrist, levitating in the air around it.
“No way.” I said, I pressed my bare hand against the wall, which broke into several tiny pieces, “This is awesome.”
I used the stone I collected to create for myself a pair of stone gauntlets with sharpened finger tips. Even though they should’ve weighed several times my own weight, they were as light as a feather and I could move the fingers as if they were my own. Now I had a way to get off the ledge. I climbed off the top of the ledge and plunged my stone cover hands into the side of the ledge as I slowly lowered myself down.
When I reached the ground, the trees were unlike any I have ever seen before. The tree’s bark was darker than a starless midnight sky. Not wanting to waste any time I walked through the forest, while it did creep me out, there was no other way for me to find anyway home without first finding where I was. I kept a watchful eye for wild animals while I traveled through the forest, while I did see the common mouse or small creature that wasn’t much of a threat, I kept seeing green eyes on what I thought were wooden wolves. Nearly an hour into my journey to find a town of any kind, it started to rain as I pulled my hood over my head.
“Great,” I complained to myself, “Rain, exactly what I needed.”
I had to walk for nearly another hour before I had even seen anything that was different from the green leaves and pitch black bark. I dispersed my stone gauntlets and let the shards fall to ground as I reached into my pockets and placed my white gloves back on. A small cottage rested near the edge of the forest only being separated by a small stream flowing down out of sight. Being tired from all the walking, I was surprised to find out that I even had enough energy to even walk up to the door to knock on it.
“Coming!” A femine voice said, before the door opened, “Eep!”
What is she? Is she a yellow horse woman? Just thinking that sounds weird. “Excuse me, but I really need a place for the night. I am willing to reimburse you in any way I can.” I could only imagine how much I look like a murderer right now.
“Please come in” she said, “You must be freezing from all this rain, I’m going to go make you a cup of tea.”
“Thank you.” I said as I entered the cottage and placed my jacket on a coat rack.
Only a few minutes had passed before the tea was finished, it had a sweet aroma. “So… um… do you have a name?”
“My name?” I asked, and it was at this moment I realized I could remember my name no matter how hard I tried. “... My name is Kai Chisaki, but you can just call me Chisaki.”
“Nice to meet you Chisaki,” the mare said, “My name is Fluttershy.”
“Pleased to meet you.” I said
I am starting to doubt that I’ll be able to find a way home. Why should I even bother trying to go back anyways, ever since I got here, I had trouble remembering anything that has happened before what I could only assume was yesterday. But now I have a power that can literally allow me to destroy and reshape the world in any way I want. What am I going to do with this power, I can only assume if it was made public knowledge that I’d be hunted. So maybe for a while it’ll be best to keep it on the down low for now.
Something has gone wrong. We don't seem to have an archived copy of that chapter.
3 days later,
The day Fluttershy was supposed to be on Mare Snuff
Chisaki had dug graves for the three rapists who tried to take away Fluttershy before he killed them. After that, both of them sat on a coach as a small box TV ran in front of them. There were only five different channels on equestrian Television, all numbered numerically. Four of the five channels are all Mare Snuff, and number 5 is the news channel which is rarely used by other ponies. Most of the news was mainly highest bidders on mare auctions from the previous day, but sometimes the news channel had something important to say. And today was one of those days.
“Thank you all for coming today,” the hermaphrodite mare reported said as she humped a mare that was hidden under her standing desk, “Most of you are wondering: ‘what happened to my show?’ Or ‘why has it been cancelled?’ I have both good and bad news, the good news is that only the episode was cancelled and not the entire show. But the bad news is that Fluttershy, who was supposed to be Mare Snuff’s next contender, has gone missing along with 4 regular rapists. There is now a bounty on her head, snuff her yourself, or turn her i-...”
Chisaki cut the TV off using its remote, as Fluttershy whispered out an ‘oh no.’ Chisaki leaned forwards, interlocking his fingers as he began to travel into deep thought.
“I see no good way out of this Flutters.” Chisaki said, as sorrow plagued his voice, “Do you trust me?”
“Why wouldn’t I trust you.” Fluttershy said, “You’ve saved me once before, I know you’ll be able to do it again.”
“Thank you Fluttershy.” Chisaki said, as he brought his left hand to his face as his thumb and finger touched the temples of his head, only leaving his left eye exposed which was full of sadness, “I’m sorry I had to put you through this.”
He brought his right hand over and placed it gently around Fluttershy’s neck before he used his quirk on his friend.
Several days after Fluttershy's disappearance, rumors had spread that Fluttershy was still alive because she was hiding from the male/herm supremacy which plagued equestria, but details on the rumors were not consistent. Another rumor had spread that an odd creature had moved into Fluttershy’s old cottage after she left. Maybe, just maybe, if the rumors were true, the newcomer would know what happened to Fluttershy and lead them to her. The five friends were filled with hope, but Twilight's overworking emotions caused a scar to spasm that she had gotten when she was ‘studying’ under Celestia’s mentorship.
On their way to their friend's cottage, three new missing posters of mares, that were recently processed by the apple-family and ready to be sold off, were placed on a billboard that had five pre-existing ones, Fluttershy’s poster was among the five. AJ Shuttered as she remembered all the painful screaming from the mares that was caused by her big brother’s hands, as he pulled each of their teeth for toothless BJs. The prize for finding the missing non-hermaphrodite mares was absolute permission to rape them, and there was a note at the bottom of each poster encouraging the rape them in public so others could watch.
When they had gotten near the cottage, blood drained from their faces as they faintly smelled rotting pony meat, the smell was muffled, like a decaying body was resting behind a non-existent door in front of them. As they moved towards the cottage, the smell grew stronger. Worry grew rampant among the four of them as they considered the possibility of Fluttershy being already dead and that’s what they were smelling. Arriving at the front door of the cottage, the pungent smell was almost bad enough to make them scrunch up their noses, Twilight extended an arm before she knocked on the door. No one answered.
“Maybe they're not here right now?” Rarity said
“Are you kidding me?” Rainbow asked frustrated, “I took us nearly an hour to get here with Twilight. I could’ve made it here in about a minute, maybe even less if I flew here.”
“You try living your life after having survived a belly pop.” Twilight shuttered at the memory of how she barely survived all those years of being raped by the solar alicorn.
“What’s all this ruckus about?” An unamused voice said
Descending from above the house, Chisaki landed in front of the group of ponies. Twilight had felt something finalist about him, but she couldn’t tell what. From what she could tell though was that he wasn’t from any major race or species in equestria. He did wear a beak like mask, almost imitating how griffons look. Though probably his most defining feature, despite the lack of fur, was his yellow wings which had what seemed to be some sort of external muscle which was as dark as the hearts of the caribou.
“Excuse me, but are you the new owner of this house?” Applejack asked
“Yes I am.” he said, “My name is Chisaki, how may I help you?”
The five ponies were shocked by his politeness, a male of any race being polite to non-hermaphrodite females, especially ones of a different species, was almost completely unheard of in modern day equestria. Twilight was the first to realise the awkward silence that they had created.
“... We came here looking for Fluttershy, she was the previous owner of this cottage.” Twilight said, “We were hoping that you might have any clue on what had happened to her.”
“The previous owner?” Chisaki said, scratching the side of his head, “I’ve seen her before, but I never really met her other than a brief encounter meeting as she was being dragged off. Sorry I couldn’t have been any help.”
“Oh,” Pinkie pie said disappointedly, as her mane deflated, “I was hoping to see here one last time before I'm snuffed”
“Come on girls,” Rarity said, “Lets go, we’ve already had our stay.”
Chisaki turned his back to five ponies he’d just lied to about not knowing Fluttershy, before he began to return to behind the house to continue tending to the few animals that remained. He’d hoped that the five mares would just leave him alone, because the less that knew the truth, the better.
“No.” Rainbow dash scowled at Chisaki, drawing attention to herself, “You’re hiding something, and I’m not leaving until you tell me what has happened to Fluttershy.”
Rainbow’s four friends looked between her and Chisaki with fear in their eyes. If a mare had bad mouthed a stallion, or said something even the slightest bit out of line, it was law that the mare's master or the one being spoken poorly to should rape them right then and ther. Chisaki tilted his head downwards, making his eyes unable to be seen because of the shadows which covered them. When he lifted his head back up, the ponies were surprised to see the same neutral expression instead of one that implied he was going to rape them.
“You ponies sure are perceptive,” Chisaki shrugged them off, “but I’d rather not explain it in public, others could overhear us.”
He led the five ponies into Fluttershy’s cottage, it was cluttered with empty animal cages. A thin layer of dust covered several different locations of the house. Muddy footsteps tracked around the house showing that it hadn’t been clean in a while.
“Excuse the mess,” Chisaki said, as he started closing the curtains of the house, “I haven’t had much time to clean with all the work I’ve been doing.”
"We don’t care about the mess,” Rainbow dash said, “You still have to tell us where Fluttershy is.”
“You’ll see her again, be patient”
Chisaki walked over to the side of the stairs as he began to push in a wall and began sliding it to the side. A crudely made hidden passageway with hardened clay walls was revealed as it descended in darkness. Chisaki grabbed a candle stand before he took a match out from his green coat pocket and struck it against the wall as he lit the candle.
“Lets go, make sure you close the door behind you.” Chisaki said, “The less ponies who know about what I’m going to show you, the better.”
Once twilight had closed the hidden door behind them, Chisaki returned to speaking.
“The truth is that Fluttershy and I are close friends. And I wasn’t going to risk her with a bunch of ponies I don’t know” Chisaki said, “But after she told me all six of you were friends, it was the least I could do.”
“She told you about us?” Rarity asked, “How is that possible, we only met you today, and Fluttershy has been missing for several days now.”
“I guess I forgot to tell you that we have a shared conscience.” Chisaki said, “It helps her hide away better.”
“Wait,” Pinkie pie said, “You two can talk to each other through your minds?”
“In a sense yes.” Chisakie said, as he approached a steel door covered in mud and rust. “Whatever you see beyond this door, must be kept a secret. If word gets out, all our hard work would be in vain.”
As the five ponies nodded their heads, Chisaki opened the door. Inside was a large cavern with the roof standing at least ten feet off the ground, several steel bed frames with mattresses on them were lined against the walls. The only reason why they could see anything this far down into the ground was because of a shoddy electrical work with light bulbs hanging by their cords from the ceiling. Two mares rested on some of the beds while a third tried to tend to their sickly forms. The five friends didn’t believe their eyes, those mares were the ones in the wanted posters. Chisaki walked over to the ill looking mares and helped the only decent looking one wet towels to cool off their fevers.
“What is this place?” Twilight asked
“This is the headquarters of the resistance group known as Shei Hassaikai,” Chisaki said, “I am its founder, and Fluttershy is its Co-founder.”
“Speaking of Fluttershy,” Rainbow said, “Where is she?”
“I know where she is,” Chisaki said, “After this, you will see her again.”
Once Chisaki had finished drenching the towel in cold water, he had gotten up from beside the bedside. He moved to the center of the cave-like room before he ungloved himself. Raising the bare hand to his face, he placed his fingers and thumb on different sides of his head only leaving one eye revealed. The five could see the strain he was putting on himself as his veins in his face began to bulge through the skin, turning into rough lines and edges. Chisaki fell over after his body had split into two different ones, the mares couldn’t believe their eyes as they saw their missing friend return into existence.
Fluttershy groaned as she tried to stand on her feet without stumbling, “It feels so awkward to be back to normal again.”
Once Fluttershy had spoken, her friends began to swarm her like flies. They all gave her some sort of display of affection, whether it be (attempted) hugs, heartfelt words, or even just spilling tears seeing her again. Blood began pumping as each second was more and more proof that their friend was alive, but as it began to pump Twilight’s scar began to spasm.
“RRGH!” Twilight clenched her gut in pain
“Twilight, what wrong?” Fluttershy asked worriedly
“M-my scar.” Twilight said, “It feels like it's gonna burst again.”
“Oh my! I completely forgot.” Fluttershy said, “Chisaki, you have to do something!”
“Get her to one of the beds!” Chisaki commanded
Twilight’s friends tried their best to pick her up while she was writhing in pain. The pain was so great that she was crying while being partially drug over to the bed. Once she was over on the bed she was in a fetal-like position, clasping where her scare was hidden under her clothes. Chisaki removed the garment to get a better look at the scare, and by the looks of it, it was an exit wound that seemed to go deep into her as it began to bleed around the edges.
“Grab me a towel.” Chisaki demanded,
Rainbow rushed over to where the sickly mares were and grabbed a clean towel from one of the bedside tables. Rushing back, she tried to apply it to the bleeding scar, Chisaki snapped out of her grasp and wadded it up into a small ball before he placed it over the screaming mouth.
“WHAT WAS THAT F-”
Rainbow tried to scream at him, but was quickly silenced what he moved his hand down to where the scar was, causing Twilight’s abdominal section to exploded. Time seem to stand still for seconds on end, blood droplets stayed still in mid air, Twilight was letting out a muffled scream as he body tried to arch forwards but without a spine it was impossible. Then all the blood and guts that came out of her were returned to her insides as time began to flow normally again. When the towel was removed from twilight's face, she let out a small coughing fit.
"What did you just do?" Twilight asked in between coughs
"I destroyed your abdominal section to the molecular level, then I removed all the scar tissue and stretched out your nearby body tissue to cover for the lack mass which your scar made up." Chisaki said, "I recommend you don't sleep on your stomach for the next few night so that it can heal. This was only possible because our body has many similarities, despite the subtle difference I found in Fluttershy's biology books."
The time spent in the giant cave of a room slowly became hours before it was already nightfall. Twilight wanted to leave to pick up some books that would help Chisaki in his end goal, while the other four had their own reason, but he refuse to let anyone out of the Shei Hassaikai's safe haven. Despite being somewhat new to Equestria, he knew that mares going out in the dark heightened the chances of them being raped. Applejack tried to explain that if she wasn't back on her master's, who was also her brother, raping racks, she'd be raped so hard that she'd be snuffed before they were done with her. But eventually Chisaki convinced them all to stay because they need extra hands to help with the ill.
A few hour later, same day,
Sweet apple acres.
"Looks like Applejack is not on the raping racks like she's supposed to be." Big mac sighed, "I'll make sure to rape her really good this time."
When morning had finally rolled around, the six ponies and Chisaki decided to start preparing to head toward the library in search of any books that could help them towards their goal. Both Chisaki and Fluttershy believed it would be best for him to use his quirk to join their bodies together. The sky was a blood-like orange with the sun barely rising over the horizon. As the six of them prepared to leave, Chiskai listened for anyone outside of the hidden door, and once he knew no one was there, they exited the hidden hallway into the cluttered main room before they headed down the dirt road.
Every passing second it began getting more and more dangerous as it approached time for stallions and hermaphrodites to begin waking up. When they had reached the library, the sky had barely turned a light blue. The golden oak’s door creaked open as Kai ushered the five mares inside as he searched for anyone else waking up. Seeing that most were still asleep, he went in and closed the door behind them. Even if there was a lock to the door, Celestia wouldn’t have given a key to Twilight because she needed a master to rape her into submission. The faint sound of footsteps could be heard descending stairs.
“Twilight?” Someone said as the voice's owner descended into view. “Twilight!”
He was a purple and green dragon, not much shorter than most mares, but notably shorter. The drake had a short sleeved shirt exposing most of his draconic strength in his arms.
“Spike!” Twilight said as she ran to and embraced the small dragon in a hug
“When you didn’t come back last night I thought they snuffed” when Spike’s eyes landed on Chisaki, his expression went from fear to an expression of fuming hate, “Which would’ve been better, because it would have spared me the trouble of doing it myself.”
“Spike,” Twilight said, “He’s not like-”
“Don’t talk back to your master!” Spike snapped back,
“What is going on here?” Chisaki asked
“You know very well what's going on.” Spike said, “I am very lax when it comes to my mare, but when she stay out past nightfall, I have no choice but to rape her back into submission."
“I asked Twilight, not you.” Chisaki replied, his eyes like pin pricks scaring the short dragon.
“Spike isn’t usually like this.” Twilight said, “This is merely an act so that we don’t raise suspicion among the two of us. While my old masters, who are also my elder brother and hermaphrodite sister-in-law, is out of town, Spike was put in charge of ”
“Twilight!” Spike demeanor changed to a fearful one, “Did you just tell him that? Ugh! Now we’re both going to be snuffed”
“Uh, I don’t think so,” Pinkie piped in, “He did save Fluttershy after all, along with several other mares already.”
“She’s alive!?” Spike was dumbfounded
“Yes she is.” Chisaki said, as he used his quirk to separate their bodies once again.
Fluttershy managed to catch herself in mid air and land a little more gracefully than last time. Through Fluttershy and Chisaki’s merged body, and consciences, she was capable of listening to the conversation going on outside of their body.
“Fluttershy! You’re alive!” Spike said as he ran in for a hug
“Spike...” Fluttershy calmed the newly crying drake, “It is nice to see you again,”
“Can you two stop being cry babies.” Chisaki retorted, “We need to grab what we need and get out of here. Every second passing is another chance for a stallion or hermaphrodite to walk through those doors.”
“What do you need?” Spike asked, “We have all sorts of books.”
“Biology, Medical science, anything of that sort.” Chisaki said, “If it is science related take it just in case. We will only take one trip here and never return, it would be best if our goal remain hidden from the public.”
“This would be easier to find the books we need if I was here to organize it last night.” Twilight complained as she gazed over many of the titles in search for what they need, “Many ponies don’t appreciate organization as much as I do, they just stick it back on the shelves wherever they want.”
A few lucky hours have passed as no one even came close to the door in that time frame. They had amassed a small tower of 2 medical textbooks, an encyclopedia for standard animal biology, and a book titled ‘Aerodynamics for Dummies.’ While that last one may not be as useful as some of the others, they need all of the books they can get. Chisaki found another book to add to the pile, it was an in depth book about skeletal structure, it was roughly 2 inches thick. He opened the book to its table of contents, 12 chapters long not including the introduction and the author’s information. Chapter 2 was titled ‘Comparing Structures from Different Races of Ponies.’
Opening the book to the correct chapter, he was greeted by three different skeletal structures. Two of them had features that easily distinguished them from the other, it was quite easy to note that each structure belonged to a different race of ponies. He looked at the earth pony structure which seemed the one closest to his own. ‘Bones from the earth pony tribe are extremely heavy and sturdy when compared to other tribes. The durability of their bones is the reason why earth ponies are capable of pulling off feats of strength comparable to a young dragon.’
Chisaki looked towards the second diagram. While it shared basic skeletal structure, at least from a quick glance, the wings it had easily told him which race it was from. ‘While Pegasi bones are much more fragile than their thestral counterparts and other ponies, their light bones along with their wing structure allows them to fly.’
The last of the three races was unicorn. Its skeleton, needless to say, had a horn on its head, but said horn seemed smaller than it should’ve been. ‘The majority of unicorn bones aren’t on either side of the extreme, like earth ponies or pegasi are, but the bone attached to the frontal bone of the skull acts as a conduit for magic for unicorns. Even with a layer of keratin protecting it, it has been said that getting punched in the horn is similar in pain to getting kicked in the tescicles or giving birth.’
Chisaki closed the book after he decided it would be useful enough to keep. As he placed the book down on the table with the others, he heard the door to the library open. His eyes darted towards the door to see a red stallion accompanied by two caribou. Fluttershy had told him that they existed, but he had never actually seen them. If the stallion was 6 feet tall, then the caribou would’ve easily been 6’10”. Fluttershy froze in shock when her gaze connected with the stallion’s.
“I just came for my sister,” the stallion said as he approached the yellow pegasus, “But it seems I found something better. The princesses will be very pleased when they hear I found an escapee and snuffed her. Possibly even more so when she hears it was the element of kindness herself.”
As the stallion’s hand lunged for Fluttershy’s neck, it was stopped by Overhaul’s vice grip around his wrist. “Keep your filthy hands off her.”
The stallion yanked his arm back away from the painful grasp. “Who are you?”
“My name is Chisaki.”
“Are you her new master?”
Overhaul stayed silent for a moment to think his answer through, “I guess you could say that.”
“I see... I’m Big Mac by the way, I’ll just take my sister and I’ll be out of your way.” he said, “come on AJ, if you come willingly I may decide not to snuff you.”
“I’m sorry, but she’s not going with you either.” Overhaul said as he started taking off his gloves, “In fact, none of these mares behind me will not come with you as long as I’m in your way.”
"What!? I ain't gonna let you steal my mare." Big mac moved back toward the caribou before pointing a finger at overhaul. "Kill him, then you two can take all the mares here you want."
The two towering caribou walked over to Overhaul with malicious grins spread across their faces as they loomed over him. The caribou cracked their knuckles attempting to intimidate an unimpressed human. Even though they weren't directly facing the main 6, they could definitely feel the intensity of the caribou’s gaze. Fluttershy was sent quivering knowing that more than likely she'd become the caribous' next play thing, and possibly even their next mare meat meal.
"Look, I am not in the mood to get bloody right now.” Overhaul said, “So you two can just walk out those doors and I’ll spare your lives.”
“Spare our lives?” One of them said, “You must be extremely foolish to start making offers like that.”
“You tell ‘em brother!” The second Caribou said, “We caribou can snap your flimsy body like a twig and after that we’ll take all those mares right there for ourselves.”
A full force punch was thrown at Overhaul, capable of breaking steel if it had landed. Overhaul calmly side stepped out of the way, letting the sound of the powerful punch ripple past his ear. Grabbing the caribou’s arm with his bare hand, Overhaul used his quirk and completely eviscerated the caribou’s right half of its body. He followed up with a dash and clawed at the caribou’s remaining body, and turned him into nothing more than a blood splatter against the wall.
Overhaul turned to face the second caribou, his yellow eyes terrified the towering behemoth as they stared into his soul. The caribou tried to run away from Overhaul, but the caribou was shoved back into Overhaul by a strong claw slashing into his back. With a flick of his wrist, Overhaul turned the second proud caribou into nothing more than red mist which coated everything nearby. When the filthy mist cleared, Overhaul tossed his jacket to the young dragon covered in caribou blood.
“Here, you can clean yourself off with this.”
“Thanks.” Spike said as he used the green jacket to clean his face off, “What about Big Mac?”
“Oh yeah, I forgot about him.” Overhaul said, “Sorry for the mess Twilight. Try your best to salvage the books that got damaged.”
When he turned to face Macintosh, the red stallion had begun to run as far away as possible. Overhaul walked out the door and onto the dusty streets of Ponyville, the red stallion had already ran a good distance from library grabbing the attention of nearby ponies by the time Overhaul exited the library. He slammed his palm into the ground as he reformed the ground into sharp tendrils which punctured and broke Big Mac’s wrists and ankles.
“Aaahhh!” Macintosh screamed in pain as he was being tortured by a makeshift crucifixion.
“Citizens of Ponyville.” Chisaki raised his voice to the crowd as he approached the stallion writhing in pain, “I am the one you should fear as Overhaul, and I am a revolutionist! I despise misogyny and the objectification you have put on mares of your own kind. So I have decided to take the six mares you all know as the bearers of harmony and place them under my protection. And if any of you dare to even attempt to lay a finger on any of them, I will show no hesitation to kill you right then and there.”
Overhaul turned to face the crowd hundreds of stallions, hermaphrodites, caribou, and some mares on display we’re looking at him listening to his message in fear. Overhaul slowly began to draw an invisible line across the weakest part of soon to be dead stallion’s neck, before his hand snapped and began to choke his life out of him.
“But some of you may not take me seriously right now,” Overhaul said, “so to show you how serious I am I will make an example out of him for what’ll happen if you even try.”
Releasing the death grip around his neck, Overhaul flicked his wrist upwards creating a geyser of blood and guts that sprayed into the air. As the red rain poured from the sky, the stallion’s heart fell to the ground with a wet squelch. Overhaul picked it up with one of his bare hands and presented it to the crowd, before he crushed it spilling out the blood that was inside.
“I have not place for rapists in the utopia I will make.” Overhaul said, “And if you try and stop me, then you will suffer the same fate as him.”
Overhaul walked back to the library where the six mares were, but a simple glance sent an unintentional shiver down their spine. He walked up the group of mares and the young drake before he politely took his jacket back from Spike. He gestured with his hands for them to follow him, the large crowd of ponies made sure to avoid him, for their own self preservation.
Celestia sat on her throne as she waited for the next shipment of specially prepared mares, a letter was sent to her through dragon fire. Being a little confused, Celestia opened the letter and started to read its contents.
To Celestia, and whoever else this may concern.
As stated at the end of this letter, my name is Overhaul and I am the one who'll tear down your kingdom and transform it into a utopia molded by my own hands. Over the thousands of years of your rule, you have objectified and degraded mares of your own kind. I can not let this stand, so now I shall lead a revolution against you and you shall fall. Whether or not my revolution is an army of one thousand or one, your kingdom and everything you've worked for will crumble under my might. I have already taken the six mare whom you've dubbed as the bearers of harmony under my protection, send anyone or anything after them and I'll make sure that the next time you see those ponies, who you sent, will be as a crimson fog at your doorstep.
Your newest demon,
Overhaul.
Chapter 6 - Divine Intervention
The badlands were a cruel place, the only thing more cruel was the two mercenaries Overhaul hired to protect them. Ever since they first met, Twilight has always felt uneasy around them, but she trusted Chisaki’s judgment in this decision. The two mercenaries hid their appearance under cloaks enchanted with shadows, the only things that Twilight ever saw come out from the cloaks were their boots and occasionally their matching iron gauntlets.
While the two mercenaries were in fact brothers, their high and personalities were the two greatest contrasts between them. Silver was the codename the elder brother had given and he easily stood a full head and shoulders among the group. Despite being considered the leader of the group, Silver tried his best to be sociable and friendly, even if it was in his own twisted way. Crimson was the younger brother, standing significantly shorter than Silver, in fact he stood just below eye level with Spike. Unlike his older brother, Crimson was cold and harsh.
Early on the trip, Crimson threw Rainbow Dash to the ground threatening her with a knife to her throat. While she didn’t remember what led up to it, Twilight, along with everyone else, remembered very clearly what Crimson had said.
“The only reason I will not kill you is because we won’t get paid if even one of you dies.”
Even though that was about 2 days now, Rainbow Dash had been struggling to get any sleep out of fear. If that was what the younger brother was capable of, then they were scared of what Silver could do if he got angry. Ever since then, Twilight has been going through her mental checklist of every single major species that lives in Equus, so she’d at least have some sort of survival plan in that worst case scenario. But she had already gone through the list twice and was working on it for her third time, trying to see if there was anything she missed.
‘Not ponies, they lack hooves and our muzzles would occasionally peak through the shadows of that enchantment. Not dragons or griffons because their talons and claws would prevent them from wearing these gauntlets, not to mention the same fact that their beaks or maw would occasionally peek through the shadows as well. Changelings were a possibility, but it's unlikely because they would have to be transformed to hide their horns. And if that was the case, why would they make such extreme differences between them in appearance? Not to mention that Changelings rarely ate physical food, which the mercenaries commonly did.’ Midway through her list, Silver had stopped them.
“We’re almost here.” Silver said, as he pointed ahead of them at the massive changeling hive. Chrysalis’s hive.
“So I say we camp here tonight and walk the final mile tomorrow.” Silver suggested
“I would suggest against it.” Crimson replied, “Our rations are half empty, and we would barely have enough to make it back if we did that.”
“Then we can give our rations to the ponies,” Silver said “and eat the dragon.”
“WHat?!” Spike blurted out in fear
“You wouldn’t” Fluttershy said
“We kinda would actually.” Silver said, “Overhaul only paid for you 6, and the dragon decided to tag along himself. Not to mention dragon meat is considered a delicacy, and it has been quite some time since the last time I had any.”
Dark purple orbs shone through the darkness in their cloak, peering down at the dragon. Twilight really wished she had that counter plan right about now.
“But let's get going anyways,” Silver shrugged, “Butchering a dragon your size takes too much effort for that small amount of meat on your bones. The sooner we can get you all back home, the sooner we can get paid.”
Making their way down to the Changeling hive, all nine members were stopped by the changelings guarding the entrance way to the hive. Silver leaned down and whispered something to the guard, whose expression completely changed to fear and exasperation. They lifted their spears allowing for entrance. Whoever these mercenaries really were, they had some form of connections with the only nation who’d be able to even attempt to overthrow Equestria.
Back in ponyville, Overhaul had managed to barricade himself inside his and Fluttershy’s cottage before his body lost itself to its carnal lust. His body writhed around, destroying anything that he could get his hands on. Cadence’s spell had completely destroyed his mental state, making him completely forget that he even had a quirk. What little was left of Chisaki’s consciousness screamed at him to stop, but no matter how many times he tried his body would not halt in its destructive path.
“... human…”
“... wake up…”
“This is not your end!”
That voice shook his entire soul, in contrast to the quiet whispers that preceded it. Perhaps it would’ve been more appropriate to say that the voice had severed his soul from his body, because he noticed he wasn’t in mortal realm any longer. Bright colors of pink, green, purple, all blended in a pool of colors around him. Wherever he was, his new body, a physical manifestation of his consciousness, floated in the middle of whatever realm this was.
“I am glad we can finally meet.” the voice said much more clearly than before.
“Who are you and where am I?”
“I am the one who created this world, I am the one who brought you here, I am the one who has been aiding you behind the scenes.” A small yellow orb fluttered down from the sky before it grew limbs and transformed into an alicorn, standing at eye level with Chisaki. “And you are in the Fields of Elysium, my world’s equivalent of the ‘heaven’ from your world.”
This figure was a white alicorn with an feminine appearance, who stood no taller than Chisaki. White robes adorned her body, and her mane and tail were both a deep, calming red. Everytime her mouth moved to speak, it sounded like the voice came directly from Chisaki’s soul instead of hearing it with his ears.
“So I'm dead?” Chisaki was more disappointed he didn’t finish his mission than being sad from actually dying.
“Not yet, I only brought you here to speak with you. Throughout the generations I’ve had many names, but you can just call me Harmonious.” She replied
“So why am I here?” Chisaki demanded, “Not here specifically, but why did you bring me to Equestria?”
“Straight to the point are we?” Harmonious teased before noticing Overhaul’s scowl, “I’ve brought you here to change this world, and you aren’t the first I’ve brought to equestria. The first ones I bought had all the means needed to destroy this world, but they had no way to rebuild it from its ashes. But you, you know exactly what you want to do to save this world. You have a clear plan for yourself, a clear goal, and a clear cause.”
“Earlier, you mentioned that you created this world,” Overhaul said, “So why don’t you fix it yourself.”
Harmonious sighed, “My power has greatly decreased over the many millenniums. If I had noticed the problem when it was still sprouting, I would’ve taken care of it and prevented this from happening. And because of this problem, I now have very little power left. But because of what you have done upto this point, you’ve allowed me to regain enough power for us to actually meet.”
“So did you just bring me here to say ‘good job’ and tell me to keep doing what I’m doing?” Chisaki said rhetorically
“No, I actually have a gift for you, a gift of knowledge.” Harmonious stretch out her hand, “This will be extremely beneficial to you at the end of your journey. Once you have conquered this world, this will allow you to truly overhaul this world, as your villain name implies.”
Chisaki nodded his head as he took her hand. As soon as he did, knowledge of a powerful spell capable of rewriting all history. Unlike time travel spells, which alter history by being present in the past, this spell would tear down reality and allow the caster to build it back from the ashes.
“Why… Why did you give me this knowledge, you know I have no access to magic.”
“It will aid you at the end of your journey.” Harmonia said, “When your soul returns to your body, your revolution will be in full swing, and you will recreate this world into something perfect.”
Inside of the Changeling Hive, Crimson lead the party down the many corridors inside the structure. Changelings cleared out of the way, making a clear path leading them straight to their queen. Green crystals and slime lined the halls, the stench made Rarity sick to her stomach. Finally heading down that final hall, a little more natural light shone through the holes in the Changelings throne room.
“What’s this you brought me?” Chrysalis said, “I don’t remember commissioning you two to kidnap these ponies for me.”
“That’s because we took a commission from someone else.” Crimson said coldly, “We were asked to escort them here. Their leader wishes to negotiate with you.”
“Celestia? I didn’t think she’d want anything to do with us after our last encounter.”
Twilight despised that name, scowling as soon as she heard it, “We no longer serve Celestia.”
“Then who?”
“We now follow Overhaul, head of the Shie Hassaikai, an organization dedicated to ending the corruption in Equestria.” Twilight said, “On behalf of him we’d like to request an alliance with you, Shie Hassaikai is only a few months old and has very few actual members, and even fewer soldiers.”
“So why should I lend you my aid when you haven’t offered anything to me in return?” Chrysalis asked, “The Changeling hive has survived this long by itself, and I won’t need your help to make it survive longer. Anything you could possibly give me I don’t need or I already have.”
She knew Chrysalis was going to be hard to negotiate with, but Twilight didn’t know how to respond to this. Chrysalis was right, what did they have that they could give her in return that she didn’t already have? If Celestia did decide to invade and conquer the badlands, Chrysalis’s army would have the home turf advantage.
“You're wrong, we do have something.” Fluttershy blurted out, “I remember reading about changelings and how they being called ‘love-eater’ was technically incorrect, changelings are closer too ‘emotion-eaters’. Each emotion has different nutritional value, with Love having everything a changeling needs to survive. But lust has almost no value, it's like feeding a rabbit carrots, it's a tasty treat but it’ll kill you if that is all you eat. So if you won’t lend us your aid because of a common enemy, then lend us your aid not for our sake but for the sake of your hive.”
Fluttershy fell on her face, showing just how sincere she was. Chrysalis looked at the yellow pegasus, she was impressed with how Fluttershy handled herself while standing in her presence. Speaking to someone who you considered your equal was one thing, but negotiating with the leader of a different race required a lot of determination and courage, something she knew Fluttershy usually had very little of.
“I will consider your request.” Chrysalis said, surprising Fluttershy, “And if he truly has the strength to end Celestia, I will lend him my aid in his goal.”
“Thank you, your majesty.” Fluttershy said, truly grateful that they now have a possible ally in this war.
“Princess, it's an emergency!” A guard yelled, as he burst through the doors, “Shining Armor and Cadence require immediate medical assistance!”
Celestia saw Shining Armor being walked in by another guard as he rested his weight on his fellow guard, he had suffered a great puncture wound on his lower abdomen making blood spill out and stain his coat of fur. Celestia could easily see that Shining Armor was just barely hanging onto consciousness, but Cadence’s condition was far worse. A guard carried what was left of her in his arms, Her entire right side had been pulverized into a gorey mess, if she was to survive they’d have to act now.
“Send them to the medical ward immediately, and get my best mages to tend to princess Cadence.” Celestia ordered, “Tell them they have permission to use any and all experimental treatments, Cadence is an asset we cannot afford to lose.”
As Celestia watched the guard rush them to the medical ward in the castle, she had the feeling that she was being watched. “What do you want, King Damian?”
“I was just stopping by to see how my favorite princess was doing.” Damian jeered stepping out of the shadows in a nearby hallway
King Damian was the King of Caribou, and while he was officially the youngest out of all the ruling royalty, his many abilities made up for his age. Caribou are known for being giants compared to normal stallions, and to go along with their immense size they are also as strong as dragons and their skin is tough enough to make them almost completely invulnerable to standard weapons. While a normal caribou was impressive enough, King Damian was a direct descendant of the first caribou king, King Dainn, giving strength that would eventually surpass that of Celestia. The only reason why he was in Canterlot in the first place was to discuss further resource trading between their kingdoms.
“I ended up overhearing what condition Cadence was left in after their encounter with Overhaul.” Damian said, “If you were to give me letters of permission, I could go down there and easily take care of him for you.”
“I would advise against it,” Celestia said, “Given what he had done to my two strongest warriors, Shining armor the captain of my guard and Princess Cadence my niece, if he could do that in a two against one, then your brute strength wouldn’t be very useful if you took him on yourself. Not to mention whatever weapon he uses isn't normal, becauses that wasn’t a puncture wound from a sword or spear. I would recommend you wait until at least shining armor has recovered so we can at least get some more information on who, or what, we are fighting against.”
Begrudgingly, Damian agreed before disappearing back into the shadows. This is far more serious than what she first thought, perhaps Karma has finally caught up to her after all these years. Maybe she should‘ve acted differently all those years ago, but it is too late to be reminiscing about the past.
Author's Note
I now have a clear plan for the rest of the story, so you should end up seeing some more chapters come out in the near future.
Chapter 7 - Return from Beyond
Being several days into their return trip, the group has finally made it back from the backlands and are about to exit the everfree forest within about an hour. Despite this, it didn’t take much for everyone to notice Silver not acting like himself. When they were passing through the Everfree on their way to the changeling hive, Spike asked him not to attract so many timberwolves but Silver took it as a challenge to try to get a timberwolf to attack him. Yet, now he was absolutely quiet, observing every single detail around him. It was clear that he found something very off-putting.
“Hey Crimson,” Silver said,
“Yes, I feel it too.” Crimson replied before Silver could even ask his question, “Her magic still lingers in the air.”
“I see.” Silver said, trying to hide his rage in his voice,
“What’s going on?” Twilight inquired, “Who is ‘her’?”
“Princess Cadence, I assume you are familiar with her.” Crimson replied, “Ever since Chrysalis’ failed invasion in Canterlot, Chrysalis has given us a kill on sight order if we found her during any of our other jobs.”
Twilight felt horrible knowing that she played a big part in releasing Cadence during Chrysalis’ invasion of Canterlot. “But why would she be in Ponyville?”
“The only good news about this situation is that she isn't here any longer.” Crimson replied, “And the reason why she was here was more than likely to kill Chisaki, or at least decommission him for a while.”
“After encountering him, I bet she got killed before she even knew what she was up against..” Rainbow said confidently, “From what Fluttershy said, he’d won a four against one against some ponies who work for Mare Snuff.”
“But this time, I wouldn’t be so confident in him.” Silver said, “Cadence is an alicorn which gives her both immense strength and a near limitless mana-pool. And she may not look like it, but she is very skilled in both combat and magic. I actually learned that the hard way. I also doubt that she was the only one who was sent here, because Celestia wouldn’t send one of her best assets alone if she had heard about what Overhaul can do.”
“So you're saying it could’ve ended up being 100 against 1?” Spike asked
Twilight spoke before either mercenary could answer, “Not necessarily, there is a likely chance that my brother, Shining armor, was the only one accompanying her. And his magic shields are near impossible to break from the outside, so there is no guarantee that Chisaki could get to them.”
“But that's not even the worst part.” Crimson said, “We’re almost there, so it would be easier to show it to you instead of explaining it.”
Crimson was right, the exit to the forest was just up ahead. But what had happened to Chisaki that was causing them so much displeasure? While Twilight doubts that Cisaki was killed during his encounter with Cadence, she seriously doubted he was completely unscaved from that encounter. Arriving at the shallow river that separated the Everfree and Ponyville, it was obvious that a fight had broken out here sometime ago. The land was torn up, two massive curved pillars were made, making a giant arc of dirt and stone with a blood splatters at the collision point. What once was a bustling little town looked almost completely deserted now. They could only see a few ponies walking around but none of them quickly vanished back indoors once they were seen.
“Okay…” Pinkie pie said, “This is creepy.”
“You have not seen anything yet.” Silver said as he opened the door to Fluttershy’s cottage
Inside was a complete mess, what once was a lounge area for guests had been utterly destroyed. Broken glass was scattered everywhere from a broken lamp, the couches had been slashed by what looked like claws, tables had been turned over, nothing was spared. Standing at the center of this destruction was Chisaki who wasn’t looking, much less acting, like himself. Once he had noticed them at the door, he lunged at them with murderous intent.
With one quick motion, Silver countered Overhaul’s attack with a swift punch to his gut, knocking him to the other side of the room. Silver stretched out his iron gauntlet, summoning a black-ish purple fire in his hands. Clamping down on this fire, onyx black chains sprouted from the floorboards binding Chisaki to the floor by each of his four limbs. Writhing around, Chisaki growled like a wild animal as he tried to break the chains only for them to not budge in the slightest..
“OH MY GOODNESS! What happened to him?” Rarity asked, terrified at what had just happened
“This is Cadence trump card,” Silver explained, “it is an amalgamation of several different spells. The base spell was originally a changeling aphrodisiac. Crimson is more familiar with it than I am, he can explain the rest.”
“The spell was used as a torture method by changelings during the reign of Queen Insectonia, Chrysalis’ mother.” Crimson explained as he approached Chisaki's writhing body, “The victim would have their hands bound above their head as the magic aphrodisiac’s effects would grow more powerful with each hour, driving the victim mad. Although, it’s usage had been completely halted after it was considered far too unreliable compared to the other methods of that era. But after Queen Inseconia death, the spell’s contents fell into pony hand’s and eventually into Cadence’s.”
“Wait you knew Queen Insectonia?” Twilight asked,
“Knew her?” Silver responded, “Ha! We were her personal assassins for over 300 years!”
“Elder brother, shut up.” Crimson demanded, “I need to concentrate.”
Crimson applied the palms of his gauntlet against Chisaki’s chest, making a purple glow at the contact point shortly afterwards. Removing his hand, a small pinkish-purple orb appeared in his hand, a physical embodiment of Cadence's magic. Clasping his hand shut, Crimson shattered the orb in tiny fragments and let them drop to the ground where they quickly dissipated into smoke.
With Cadence’s magic removed, Chisaki quickly calmed down before closing his eyes and passing out. Once everyone’s adrenaline rush had ended, they began to take in even more details of Chisaki’s state. His skin was pale, and there were large bags under his eyes, as if he had not slept in a few days. The clothes he wore had been torn in several places, revealing bruised skin all along his arms and legs.
“His condition is extreme, not quite critical yet.” Silver said, knelt down and inspected Chisaki’s body, “Judging by his condition, has been rampaging for 2 days now, and today would’ve been considered the third. An indirect side effect of this spell is malnutrition and dehydration, because the victim is usually too preoccupied with trying to satisfy their desires to worry about anything else.” Silver turned his attention to the rest of the group, who were too scared to approach any further, “You, the yellow one. Come here.”
Fluttershy walked up to them before Silver spoke to her, “Your name is Fluttershy, and you were the owner of this house, right?”
“Y-yes sir,” she replied trying her best to maintain her composure
“I will help you take Chisaki upto a guest room, and lay him down on a bed.” Silver instructed, “Wake him up in about an hour, I’ll have something made for him to eat and drink by then. You just need to make sure his condition doesn’t worsen to a critical state.”
Fluttershy nodded, before Silver picked up Chisaki and placed him on his back. As Silver followed her up the stairs, Fluttershy led him to her room because she no longer had a guest room. Normally Fluttershy would use the main floor as a guest room, but that was in no condition to be used as such. Opening the door, Silver paused for a moment before speaking.
“This is your room, isn’t it?” Silver asked rhetorically before dropping Chisaki onto her bed. “How scandalous.”
Fluttershy brushed brightly at that comment, as Silver left the room and closed the door behind him without saying another word. It was almost as if he hadn’t even said it.
Fluttershy had only been given one thing to do, and that was to look after Chisaki’s condition for the next hour. There was no questioning that it was extremely important, but within fifteen minutes it left her feeling so useless. She wanted a way to help him, but there wasn’t anything that she could do to help him… Well… There was one thing she could do.
Fluttershy removed Chisaki’s mask allowing her to take off his coat and shirt much easier. She was relieved to see that most of his wounds were superficial and didn’t require to be tended to much, but there was a large scratch on his chest that had started healing already. Walking over to her closet, Fluttershy pulled out an old first aid kit, the box was a little dusty but everything inside was still brand new. She poured some alcohol onto a small cotton ball before she began cleaning his wounds. Even in an unconscious state, Chisaki’s body seethed whenever an open wound came into contact with the alcohol.
After a little while of trying to clean the wound, Fluttershy grabbed some bandage and began wrapping it around Chisaki’s chest. Tucking the end of the bandage in, so that it wouldn’t come undone, Fluttershy was happy at the job she had done. By no means was it professional quality, but it would hold. But not too much later, Chisaki slowly began regaining consciousness.
“Ow…” Chisaki said, as he tried to prop himself up on Fluttershy’s bed, “I feel like s**t”
“Don’t push yourself! You are still recovering.” Fluttershy said
“I don’t intend to.” Chisaki said, before going into a small coughing fit,
“Hold on, I’ll get you some water.” Fluttershy said
“Wait,” Chisaki said, “Could you stay here?”
Fluttershy was a little surprised at his request, but she gladly obliged. “Of course.”
At first Fluttershy thought that Chisaki was going to tell her something else to do, but he stayed silent as he stared off into space. For what felt like an eternity, not a single word was spoken between them.
“I’m sorry.” Cisaki said, surprising Fluttershy, “I got cocky and wasn't able to stop them. I had the chance to end them, several even, but I chose to entertain myself by holding back on them which only resulted in me into this condition. I thought I had hurt them enough so that they’d just bleed out over the next couple hours, but I heard something that would tell me otherwise. I vividly recall hearing the flicker of a teleportation spell, that is the last thing I can recall before my memory becomes hazy.”
Fluttershy tried to stop him mid rant, but failed miserably. “But there is still some good to come out of this, I found a way to end this all. There is a spell that allows me to reset this world, but getting to the point where I will be able to use it will be no easy task.”
Fluttershy thought this was just some made up mid-recovery ramblings, but Chisaki’s eyes told her something else. He was serious and the fire that drove him to do everything he had done up to this point grew exponentially now that he had a clear path to take to reach his goal.
A few days later, Chisaki had recovered and had begun making preparations for his grand plan. As the day grew long Chisaki wrote down every step he would need to take in great detail, just so someone had his plans in case he didn’t survive. Eventually a looming shadow was cast down upon him, followed by an unfamiliar voice.
“So you must be Overhaul?” Chisaki looked up and saw Chrysalis standing in front of him
“And I assume you are the queen of the changelings?” Chisaki replied
“Yes I am.” Chrysalis responded, “Over the past couple of days I have been considering your offer to have an alliance between both the changelings and the ponies loyal to you. If your goal truly is to kill Celestia then I will accept your offer.”
“You must be mistaken about my goals.” Chisaki said, “My goal is to reform this world, not kill Celestia. Will that be one of the steps to my goal? More than likely. But that does not mean it is my goal. I wish to salvage as much as I can from the ashes and build a new world, one without hate nor predijust nor fear. This world I will create will be an Absolute Overhaul from the world you know.”
Chapter 8 - Here comes the storm
It was only a matter of time before Celestia and her supporting armies showed up to attack Ponyville. So instead of sitting around waiting for them, Chisaki decided to do a preemptive strike on canterlot planned three days from now. Normally such a plan wouldn’t even be considered because of the sheer difference in population between Canterlot and the “new” Ponyville, but with the changelings by his side, the gap in numbers has decreased significantly.
“Are you ready?” Silver asked Chisaki, “everyone's waiting on you.”
With a nod of his head he made his way onto a stage where he stood above everyone who was present while crimson and silver stood by his side. Ponies and changelings alike stood in front of him, totally up to just shy of 4000, waiting for him to speak. Everyone in front of him had some sort of armor on, whether that be the professional armor forged by the changelings or the hastily crafted pieces made by the volunteer soldiers in ponyville.
“My friends, listen to what I am about to say.” Overhaul said, “this war will not come without loss, many of you will not be able to see my dream come true. But this infection has spread far enough, if we don’t fight it now we will all die regardless of how strong we will become. This infection has many parts, the carnal lust that has allowed rape to be commonplace, the sheer amount of murder and cannibalism, it all disgusts me. I have had many people in my life who I have considered my enemies, yet I wouldn’t wish on them what you have had to endure. But also heed this, the world I will create will be far better than this one. I acknowledge that it will be impossible for me to make our new world perfect, because there will always be good and evil in life, but in the new world you will find such peace, such love, such kindness, and such trust that you’ll forget all of this. This pain, this death, this Old world corrupted to the core. My friends, today will mark the day we will put an end to this infection. Now Equestria beware, because you will face an Absolute Overhaul!”
After finishing his speech, the crowd began to cheer and applaud. Chisaki smiled under his mask, because he knew that he now had everyone’s full support. But the smile quickly faded when the sun reflected off of something on top of a building direct into his eyes. Once Chisaki knew what it was, it was too late to do anything, the assassin already had a clear shot at him.
Ka-chunk
The sound of a heavy crossbow being fired split the air silencing the crowd. Faster than lightning, Crimson drew his sword and spit the metal crossbow bolt in two, stopping it mid flight.
“Capture him! I want him alive!” Chisaki demanded, wanting to interrogate his would be assassin
Silver understood immediately as he summoned four dark purple ethereal wings which sprouted behind his cloak and flew after the assassin. Once the assassin knew that he’d been discovered, he tried to run but was tackled by Silver who had by flying at top speed to catch him. Toppling off the building, Silver drove the front side of the assassin into the ground, breaking a few bones in the process.
“Listen,” Silver said, ”I’m not gonna kill you, stop struggling.”
Just like he had said, the assassin stopped struggling, but another cracking sound happened. “Long live the princesses.”
After saying that, the assassin stopped breathing entirely. Whatever information he may have had, he clearly didn’t want Overhaul to have. It wasn’t long after that Silver made his return trip to inform Chisaki of the situation.
“A cyanide tooth,” Chisaki said, “I am surprised that they even use such things.”
“I agree,” Crimson replied, “my brother and I have lived for over a thousand years and we’ve nearly forgotten such things existed.”
Following this incident, Chisaki changed his plans of attacking three days from now to attack three hours from now. He told everyone if they had family, they should go ahead and tell them goodbye because there was a good chance they wouldn’t survive.
“Princess Cadence, please settle down!” One of Celestia’s mages said, “your magical prosthetics haven’t fully connected with your body. If you push yourself, your prosthetics could kill you.”
“We don’t have time for me to recover!” Cadance bellowed out, “If what I’ve heard from the spies are true, then it is no longer a matter of if Overhaul attacks us, but when ! If I’m not there to stop him, then we won’t stand a chance.”
Metal prosthetics enchanted with magic were attached where Cadence's arm and leg used to be. Her wing prosthetics hadn’t been completely assembled yet, so she remained flightless for the time being.
Meanwhile Shining Armor had recovered from his injuries with the magic of some of the mages. He was kneeling in front of Celestia, Luna, and Damian as he was asked to tell what he had learned from his encounter with Overhaul.
“Your majesties, Overhaul isn’t someone to take lightly.” Shining Armor said, “he already has a pretty big following, and if utilized it he could do some serious damage to Equestria in a rebellion. And that’s not even factoring his own abilities into the equation.”
Celestia and Luna looked at each other in worry, “then what are his abilities? If he is as bad as you say he is, then we ought to start preparing as soon as we can.”
“That’s the problem, his ability allows him to reshape anything he touches,” Shining Armor said, “and I am not even sure if there is a limit to it. I don’t even want to think what he could do if he laid his hand on one of us.”
“This is of no matter to me,” Damian said, “a king such as myself shouldn’t have to waste his time dealing with such insignificant insects like him.”
Luna looked at the giant Caribou, “King Damian, it wouldn’t be wise for you to neglect this matter. After Overhaul has finished with our kingdom, there is no doubt in our mind that he’ll go after the Caribou kingdom next.”
“I believe you missed my point,” Damian said, “I am not one to waste my time waiting on him to get here. Because you and your ‘precious subjects’ have proven just how incompetent you are. So I am going to go deal with him myself.”
The Caribou King stormed out of the room, and down the streets of Canterlot. For a normal pony, a trip to ponyville would’ve taken a few days by train; but for Damian and his royal heritage, he could make it by foot in just over a day. It didn’t matter though, because they’d all meet sooner than expected.
Back at ponyville, Twilight and Crimson were busy constructing runes for large scale teleportation. Despite the runes being designed to increase efficiency of magic use, it would still be hard to teleport such a large army without having to relieve a few soldiers to help use magic. Overhaul watched over the runes’ construction, he was surprised that it only took two hours for both Twilight and Crimson to assemble this entire thing.
“Is everything ready Twilight?” Overhaul asked when everything looked done
“I believe so,” Twilight said, “but I don’t have enough magic leftover after assembling it.”
Crimson turned to Twilight, “My brother and I can lend you our magic, all you need to do is make sure we can get there.”
“That’s right.” Overhaul replied, “Both Crimson and Silver have incredible magic reserves, so if they lend you some you’ll have more than enough.”
Twilight has seen on numerous occasions the two brothers using magic in various ways. But she still found it hard to believe that they both had that much magic, even though she knew it was true. It wasn’t much longer after that Chisaki managed to round up all the soldiers who would be fighting in the battle. Once most of everyone was in the circle, Silver and Crismon put their hands onto Twilight, lending her some of their power.
“Are you ready, Twilight?” Overhaul asked, to which Twilight replied with a slow nod of her head, “Activate the spell when you're ready.”
After Silver and Crimson stepped back into the teleportation zone, Twilight cast the spell; sending Overhaul and his crew to Canterlot with a bright flash. Once the spell had dissipated Twilight fell over backwards, luckily there was some soft dirt to cushion her fall as her friends came to her aid.
“Attack! Destroy everything in your path!” Overhaul demanded, “We will rid this world of the infection!”
With the command given, soldiers went sporadic creating as much chaos as possible. Chrysalis oversaw the chaos, making sure that it could spread as quickly And rampantly as it could. It was mere seconds before screams of terror began rolling throughout the streets. They were about to start their plan when Overhaul heard a familiar voice.
“Um… Chisaki? I’m not supposed to be here” Fluttershy said
Being quick on his feet Chisaki dragged Fluttershy by her sleeve into a dark corner and amidst the chaos. He quickly gestured for Silver to come to them.
“Listen, Fluttershy.” Overhaul said, “There is now way back now. Silver provides her with a weapon to protect herself with.”
Silver quietly uttered a word as a black sword with an ominous purple glow was summoned in front of his hand. He grabbed it by the black allowing Fluttershy to take hold of the handle. The sword was not too heavy nor too light for her, but there was something about it that sent a shiver down her spine.
Silver was the first one to speak, giving her an offer, “Either you can come with us and fight, or you can stay here and try to survive on your own.”
Without even thinking, Fluttershy took the opportunity to join Chisaki and the two brothers, there was safety in numbers after all. Moving along the backroads and alleyways, Chisaki led his allies closer to the castle. Many of Celestia’s guards began charging down the streets, trying to make their way to the chaos to kill it. Once they had taken enough back roads to get away from the chaos, they came to a road way that was empty of any form of soldiers, allowing for a quick dash to the castle.
“So I assume you in the bird beak must be Overhaul.” Damian said from behind them,
“He must have heard us.” Overhaul hissed angrily
“I was planning on heading to Ponyville to kill you. But now that you're here, I can save a lot of time if I just do it now.”
For being such a behemoth of a Caribou that Damian was, he could run faster than Chisaki would’ve thought. Whenever Chisaki saw depictions of the Caribou king, he initially pin Damian as a slow but invincible enemy, but his prediction was proven wrong when Damian got close enough to throw a punch capable of killing hundreds of soldiers in a single strike.
Blocking Damian’s attack with his own, Crimson managed to save his allies from the deadliest part of the attack. Damian threw barrages of punches at just below the speed out sound and Crimson managed to block every single one of them with his own.
“GET OUT OF HERE ALREADY!” Crimson yelled, which everyone promptly heeded as they headed for the castle
Once they were all a safe distance away, Crimson delivered a powerful kick to the stomach of the Caribou, knocking the caribou several feet before he regained his footing.
“For being such a pip-squeak sized creature, you certainly are impressive.” Damian commented, “And I mean that whole heartedly.”
“And it has been a while since someone has been able to match my reflexes like that.” Crimson replied, keeping a monotone voice
“I am usually not one to offer my enemies a way to escape my death.” Damian said, “but it would be a shame to waste all that talent you have.”
“What is this offer of yours, Caribou king?”
“Join the caribou-“
“No.”
Crimson drew his sword and lunged at Damian with such a speed that anyone with an untrained eye would have only seen a blood red blur. Damian felt the sword press into his stomach, but his royal hide couldn’t be punctured so easily.
“So you must be the one known as the Crimson Executioner.” Damian commented, “No wonder you were so strong. But I would’ve thought you would’ve been a bit bigger for all the destruction you’ve caused.”
Crimson had nothing more to say to the Caribou king, words couldn’t describe the resentment he had for Equestria’s royalty. Damian grabbed the top of Crimson’s head and threw it into the ground, shattering the asphalt below him. Crimson retaliated by using his upper body strength to throw himself out of the ground and kick the Caribou king in the head making them both airborne. Sprouting a pair of wings made from black miasma, Crimson grabbed Damian by the arm and threw him to the ground.
Crimson dove mid air, aiming his sword straight for Damian’s stomach. The impact caused Damian to cough of blood, before he punched Crimson into some buildings across the road. Crimson knew that if he couldn’t win, all he needed to do was to buy enough time for Chisaki and the Others to kill Celestia and Luna.
Swords clashed against iron flesh. Crimson held up his sword and created a massive bolt of black miasma falling from the sky, crushing Damian under its sheer force. Crimson kept increasing the power of his attack until it had become so big that it had engulfed the entire street. When Crimson released his attack, the only place that hadn’t been reduced to a crater was the small piece of land he was standing on.
Damian rose from the rubble, knocking the dust off his shoulders mockingly, “Is that it?”
Instead of answering that rhetorical question, Crimson decided to direct the conversation in a different way. “Do you know the First Caribou King died?”
“Of course!” Damian said, “Nobody knows what killed him, but he was decapitated in the frozen wasteland upnorth and all his men were mutilated. It is a story practically everyone knows!”
“That’s where you’re wrong.” Crimson said, “I killed him, and I wanted to let the last heir to his bloodline to die knowing that I was the one to kill him. And just as I slain him, I will slaughter you!”
Holding his sword with both hands, he began to slowly rotate the blade from point at the floor to the sky. With his sword now pointing to the sky above, what could only be described as an intense gravitational wave began pulling Damian towards Crimson. Damian managed to drive his feet into the rubble in an attempt to keep himself grounded, but that wasn’t enough. Crimson Slashed with his sword causing the gravitational pull to triple, sending Damian flying towards Crimson.
Damian put his arms up in defense, but his efforts were futile. A blade of pure darkness slashed through his arms and neck, decapitating him like his predecessor all those years ago.
“Harmonia, My mission is done.” Crimson said, “All that is left to do is wait for them to finish their’s.”
Chapter 9 - Evil vs Darkness
Running through the castle halls, it was guaranteed that Overhaul, Fluttershy, and Silver would eventually run into some castle guards. Whenever they did, they all managed to incapacitate or kill them with ease. Every encounter they faced, Fluttershy’s movements shifted from clumsily holding the sword to having the skill of a thousand years of experience. She was awake and aware every time this happened, and Fluttershy knew that it probably had something to do with the sword Silver had given her, but it was the only way she had to protect herself.
Amidst her contemplation of whether or not to keep the sword, Fluttershy noticed the ballroom was just up ahead. according to silver, the ballroom would make for a shortcut to the throne room, which would be where they could find leads to where the princesses are now. But there was something odd about the Ballroom, even though the sun was shining outside, no light fell through the window. All they could see was darkness for as long as the hall went.
Suddenly the lights flashed on and the doors shut behind them, once they had realized that it was a trap it was too late. Or at least that’s what Fluttershy thought. The truth of this matter was that Silver had a score to settle with Princess Cadence, so he intentionally led them into this trap to face off against her one more time.
Hundreds of the most elite of the elite soldiers lined the walls of the room, circling around the group with their spears pointed towards them. Not only was this the largest number of soldiers Overhaul had encountered all at once, but they each had several years of extremely rigorous and confidential training making just one of them very threatening. Standing among these soldiers, Shining armor and Princess Cadence stared down Overhaul and his friends. When they had heard of Overhaul’s invasion, Shining Armor and Cadence both acquired lunar-steel armor; it was a rare lightweight armor that was incredibly hard and durable.
“If you surrender now, we will give you a swift and painless execution.” Shining Armor demanded
When Overhaul made eye contact with Cadence, his blood began to boil with hatred. Unlike previous times, this hate wasn’t his source of energy but rather akin to a lead weighing down his entire body. The more he hated them, the harder it became for him to breathe until he eventually collapsed to his knees.
“I will.. Not. Surrender!” Overhaul said in between labored breaths
“Very well.” Cadence said, “Kill them.”
All the soldiers began charging at Overhaul and his companions. But before the soldiers could get close, Silver wrapped both Fluttershy and Overhaul in his cloak before casting a spell.
“Junketsu no Kou”
A small dark purple orb barely larger than a coin appeared in Silver's hand. I began to glow and quickly transform into a tall cylinder shaped incense jar, and over the course of the next few seconds she heard the sound of armor falling on the ground. Smoke began to seep out from under the cloak. When Fluttershy noticed that she quickly held a piece of Silver’s cloak over her mouth like a makeshift mask.
Once the smoke had faded, Fluttershy now had a clear view of what had happened, the soldier had fallen asleep around them. The only ones not affected besides herself were Overhaul, Silver, along with Shining Armor and Cadence who had enabled a shield spell before the smoke could reach them.
Summoning another orb of darkness to replace the incense jar, it began glowing before it shot out what could only be described as several shining beams of destruction. Each one was aimed at all of the enemy soldiers. When it made contact, it left only a crater when the soldier had been, disfiguring the battlefield incredibly. One of the beams was aimed at Shining armor’s shield, nearly shattering it upon contact.
For the first time, Fluttershy saw what was under Silver’s cloak. A tall and muscular humanoid figure with grayish-silver hair and dark purple eyes. Silver also wore a blue long coat that matched his iron gauntlets and boots under his cloak. Even though she couldn’t see it, Fluttershy felt a demonic aura pouring out of him. It was clear to Fluttershy that Silver wasn’t a human like Overhaul, he only shared the general physical appearance of him.
“Fluttershy, take Overhaul and continue your search for Celestia and Luna.” Silver said, “I’ll deal with these two.”
Flutershy nodded as she helped Chisaki to his feet and led him through the room. Shining Armor tried to attack them with his sword, but Silver just parried it with his own. His sword was a short-sword with an exaggerated wavy blade. Even though Shining Armor didn’t see Silver’s blade even touch his armor, his armor was cut through like hot butter as a cut went into his chest.
Shining Armor quickly retreated back towards Cadence before deploying a shield spell while she began to heal him. By the time Shining Armor had recovered enough to continue fighting, Fluttershy and Overhaul had already made it out of the room.
“Shiny, this is not an opponent we should toy with.” Cadence said, “I only managed to survive my last encounter with him because he was toying with me. I doubt he’d make that same mistake.”
“Then I guess it is time for us to take out all the stops.” Shining Armor said, “It has been a while since we last had an opponent make us use this.”
Shining Armor lowered his shield for only a moment, allowing Cadence to attack Silver using both her rapier and Shining Armor’s sword in each hand. With both incredible speed and force, Cadence swung each blade at Silver who managed to block each attack with his sword. But with every strike, Cadence felt sharp cuts across her own body while silver stayed completely unharmed. She eventually retreated back into Shining Armor’s indestructible shield, where he applied a healing spell on her wounds.
While waiting for her wounds to heal, Cadence eyed Silver over, looking for any ways he could’ve deflected all her attacks. Silver stared back at Cadence from the other side of the shield with eyes that only showed violence and destruction.
“It is his sword.” Cadence answered
“What?” Shining Armor asked
“His sword faintly radiates magic,” Cadence replied, “I think he casted an enchantment to reflect all physical attacks, then added a cloaking spell to hide it. Open the shield up again, I think I can disarm him this time.”
The shield opened up again as Cadence and Silver went through the same dance as last time. Cadence swung at incredible speeds as Silver deflected every strike, but after a couple counters Cadence used both swords to deliver one heavy strike on Silver’s sword, knocking it out of his hand. She had a small sense of victory as she watched it fly to the other end of the room. But before she could enjoy it any further, Silver materialized a large scythe and swung it at her head.
Shining Armor saw this and managed to put a shield around her just in time to catch the scythe’s blade before it could penetrate Cadence's head further than skill level. “Where Did That Come From!?”
“This is getting out of hand.” Cadence said as she ran from the shield's contact point, “He is like a walking armory.”
Silver used immense strength and shattered the shield in an instant. Cadence and Shining Armor were far enough away to not get hit by the initial impact; but Silver stood there and looked at the pair ponies with dead eyes. Before he said something truly bizarre.
“I am truly envious, the love you two possess is so pure despite this world’s corruption.” Silver said, “It is truly a shame you have to die here.”
Before Silver had the chance to attack, Shining Armor took the opportunity to use his strongest shield spell to build a reinforced prison around Silver. Such a powerful spell greatly exhausted the captain, making him collapse to his knees right then and there.
A translucent bubble hovered off the ground; and inside Silver let go of his scythe with one hand and summoned on final orb. Its shape began to change into a large bell head up by a ribbon. With a single ring, the sound reverberated from what should've been a sound proof prison. After the second or third ring, the entire prison began fading and Silver descended to the ground as if he were a fallen angel.
Shining Armor and Cadence couldn’t do anything but watch in terror as Silver slowly approached them. Cadence tried to cast a teleportation spell to get away, but she couldn’t. Her mana reserves were still full enough to cast such a simple spell, but she couldn’t even move her magic powered prosthetics.
“I’ve sealed your magic.” Silver said, “I only need to get a small drop of blood drawn with this scythe and some time for you to completely shut off from your magic supply. Now may the world be purged from your filth.”
With speed that could be described only as divine, Silver took his slice and tore them in half.
“Don’t you find it ironic that a demon has to take the role of the angel of death… harmonia.”
Author's Note
I apologize for my extremely long delay. I had to deal with my dog giving birth, moving, and other matters that I can't list. all of which happened in the same month, so its not that I have forgot about all of you.
Sadly, due to life only getting more bizarre with each passing year, it is only a matter of time until I put down my pen permanently. But I promise that I will get this fanfiction and 'Midnight Arrow' completed before then.
Chapter 10 - Final Judgement
Fluttershy continued to help Overhaul walk down the hall until they were far enough away for the lead weight to dissipate into air. Once Overhaul regained his footing, he wasted no more time; however Fluttershy clutched the sword by its handle before collecting her courage to ask Chisaki the question that weighed on her mind.
“What just happened? For a moment you couldn’t even hold yourself off the floor and now you are running as if nothing happened.”
Overhaul turned around to look at her. Her eyes provided more than enough of a reason to answer her, but he couldn’t bring himself to reveal the whole truth. “I cannot explain to you what happened, because it isn’t of this world. But I assure you, Silver is on our side and not our enemy. If he could’ve suppressed his own ability from affecting me, he would’ve. And there are no lingering effects, so I am fine.”
Even though it wasn’t the answer Fluttershy wanted, it had quelled her worry for now. But what did he mean by ‘not of this world’? Despite having one question answered, so many more filled her mind. Yet, she knew that if she were to ask each and everyone of them, they’d both lose so much precious time. So opting for the best scenario, Fluttershy and Overhaul continued their Pursuit against the royal sisters. It’d be only a matter of time before the news that their fellow royals have been slain in combat had reached them.
Without Silver by their side, the guards become significantly harder to fend off, but Overhaul and Fluttershy never stopped their advance towards the throne room. Iron swords clashed on Overhaul’s stone gauntlets, only to be tossed aside with a swipe. No matter how many enemies that Overhaul managed to defeat, Fluttershy somehow managed to stay on par with the number of enemies Overhaul was defeating.
Every so often, Overhaul would pause when they had a break from the guards’ attack to collect the metal from their armor using his quirk. Overhaul had an idea on what to use all this extra material for, it would be his ace in the hole against the alicorn sisters. After all, if the threat level of Celestia and Luna are what he believed it to be, then he is going to need stronger weapons than just stone gauntlets.
It took some time for the two of them to reach the throne room, when they arrived Celestia and Luna were finishing gearing up to make a final stand against Overhaul. As soon as the royal sisters saw what had entered through the doors, Luna rushed to grab her spear while Celestia grabbed her large battle-axe from the ground. Celestia was heavily clad in gold armor, while Luna chose for a more light-weight armor made of lunar-steel. Luna’s eyes burned brighter than her sister’s sun, but Celestia… her eyes looked as if she had already died and her body was moving on its own.
“So you finally show yourself, vermin.” Luna scoffed at her opponents, “I swear I will take vengeance for the innocent lives you have taken.”
“Innocent?” Overhaul retorted, “You truly are the most delusional creature I’ve met. Neither you nor your subjects are innocent, and now it's time to cast my judgment and reshape the world.”
Ignoring the bickering from the two foes, Celestia looked at Fluttershy and the sword that was in her hand. There was something about that sword that caused her to dread the upcoming battle. When the two met eyes, Celestia saw fear in her but also… there was something else in her that Celestia wasn't quite sure of. For a moment Celesia could’ve sworn that she saw the cornea of Flutershy’s eye be covered in a blackish-purple fog. But after blinking, Celestia saw no signs of that.
“Sister, I cannot bear to listen to this madman’s prattle!” Luna said, “We should just kill them now.”
“Very well,” Celestia said, “We all have chosen the side to stand for, and there isn’t anything left to talk about. This will be our final stand sister.”
“I guess I should reveal the ace in my sleeve then.” Overhaul said as he threw off his jacket.
Overhaul shaped the metal around his arm, making it into razor sharp gauntlets with dragon-like talons around his fingers for his right hand, and an arm guard with jagged edges for his left hand. Luna stood amazed at such a thing, but as soon as her amazement wore off she jumped at the opportunity for an attack. As her spear rushed at Overhaul’s chest, he swatted it away with his metal claw before attempting to grab Luna by the face with his left hand.
Time felt like it slowed down as Luna felt her instincts telling her to escape. With divine reflexes, Luna quickly stepped to the side to get out of the way but it was so fast she stumbled and had to roll to regain her footing.
“Sister, do not let him touch you with his bare hand.” Luna said, “I don’t think his abilities to alter things only exist to himself.”
“Very well, I will keep that in mind.”
As Luna went back to fighting Overhaul, Celestia approached Fluttershy with her heavy armor and axe slowing her movement slightly. Celestia wanted to end this quickly so she raised her axe intending to kill Fluttershy, who seemed to be paralyzed with fear, in one attack. When her axe collided with the ground, there came the sound of stone breaking under the weight, but not bones. Fluttershy was flying behind her in the air.
Fluttershy aimed for the solar princess’s neck, but was blocked when Celestia’s armored hand stopped the attack. For such a petite mare, Fluttershy surprised Celestia with the power of the strike. But when Celestia saw dark purple eyes staring into her instead of Fluttershy’s light blue eyes, she felt fear. A dark mark of unknown origins appeared above Fluttershy’s eye, almost as if she had been cursed with dark magic. Pushing through her fear, Celestia continue fighting her battle, it was all she could do at this point anyways.
Returning to the fight between Luna and Overhaul, Overhaul was forced to stay on the defensive after Luna unleashed a barrage of jabs and slashes. Even though Luna appeared to have the advantage, she made a conscious effort to stay just out of reach from Overhaul’s left hand. Luna saw what he could do to himself, so She knew it would be the end of her if he managed to touch her.
Luna’s continuous attack kept pushing Overhaul further and further and back until his back was up against the wall. With nowhere left to go, Overhaul placed his left hand on the wall behind him, reshaping the material into spikes which quickly protruded from the wall. Luna managed to dodge into the air to avoid the attack, but being caught off guard like that left her open to counter attacks. Which Overhaul took full advantage of.
Reshaping the wall behind him, Overhaul used it to launch himself at Luna. With such speed, Luna wasn’t able to dodge the attack as Overhaul landed a solid punch that caused Luna’s armor to cave in at her stomach before it sent her flying into the wall behind her. At the sound of the loud crash, Celestia turned her head only to see the crater that was above Puna’s throne.
Taking full advantage of the distraction, Fluttershy delt a painful kick to the back of Celestia’s head. Celestia swung her axe, but only managed to hit the air. Out of all six of the bearers of harmony, Fluttershy was the last one Celestia would’ve guessed that could stand her own against her. But soon Celestia realized that her axe didn’t cleave through Fluttershy, instead she had already vanished.
Suddenly, a sharp pain ran up Celestia’s side. When she looked down, she saw the Fuluttershy holding the dark sword with half its blade in her side. Celestia went to grab the yellow pegasus in an attempt to remove her; but to Celestia’s surprise, Fluttershy allowed it to happen.
Except Fluttershy didn’t budge when Celestia tried yanking her away from the sword. Fluttershy only continued to press the sword deeper into her side, causing Celestia to yell out in pain.
It took a while for Luna to come back to her senses, but when she heard Celestia’s scream it snapped her back to reality. Pushing through the pain, Luna neglected her own opponent and rushed to her sister's aid. But Overhaul wasn’t one to let his prey escape from him.
“Oh no you don’t.” Overhaul reshaped the ground under him creating a platform that pushed him toward Luna.
And it wasn’t soon after that she felt the iron claw of Overhaul’s right hand clamping down on her leg. Overhaul yanked Luna downwards and grabbed her by the wings. She felt Overhaul's quirk acting on her, but by then it was too late for her.
“Sist-“ Luna was cut off as she felt her figure deforming before turning into a red cloud of blood.
Witnessing the death of her own sister right in front of her, Celestia fell to her knees as soon as Fluttershy let go of the blade in her side. She knew she had lost and she wouldn’t run from what she deserves anymore. “You’ve won. I have nothing left to fight for, so go ahead and kill me so I can join my sister.”
“Why?”
Celestia was stunned by the question, “What?”
“You aren’t the same cold blooded murdering rapist I thought you were.” Overhaul responded, “You have morals, even though they’re very dull now, so why did you let this happen? You could’ve stopped this the moment you received the letter, or better yet Centuries before I got here! So what reason did you have to keep treading down this path that you knew was going to catch up to you eventually?”
Celestia wanted to stay quiet to not let anyone else hear her guilt. But at the same, her soul ached for a peace it hadn’t had in near forever. Celestia took Overhaul’s question to heart, and while she would love to blame this on the caribou or the weak state of her own nation, she already knew the answer.
“Because I was a coward.” Celestia admitted, “Instead of fighting against the caribou, I submitted to their rule hoping to keep my ponies safe. They outnumber our forces well over 10 to 1. I was scared of losing, yet I lost it all in doing so. My sister, who was usually the one to suggest peace and negotiation, suggested we go to war immediately once she heard who we were fighting. Instead of listening to her, I banished her under the pretense of treason; and during her banishment, she lost her mind due to the isolation and has never been the same. All of this happened because I was too scared to fight a war.”
Overhaul saw that she was genuine and not trying to save her own life. As much as Overhaul wanted to go through with his plan, he couldn’t help but feel bad for Celestia. Nevertheless, Overhaul was the judge, jury, and executioner, and he was trusted by Harmonia to make the right call.
“If you could go back to prevent this from even getting to this point, would you?” Overhaul asked
“. . .” Celestia heard in his tone of voice that this wasn’t a rhetorical question, but one where he actually could do it.
“When I recreate this world, I want every being to live in a world where they view this kind of sin as vile and vomit inducing.” Chisaki said, “Even though you can’t escape death here, my new world would need a proper ruler and I am unfit to rule a nation of this caliber. So, I assume this would be in both of our best interest if you took my offer.”
The part about him not being a proper ruler was a lie to see into Celestia’s heart one last time.
“No, give it to my sister instead. She deserves it after all I have done to her.”
“I see,” Overhaul said, as he placed his hand on Celestia’s throat, “Your sentencing is decided.”
After those words left his mouth, Celestia vanished into a fine mist of blood.
Meeting in the hallway in front of the throne room, Chisaki met his assassins halfway down.
“Hey Overhaul!” Silver raised his hand to greet his friend dragging the corpses of the upper halves of Cadence and Shining armor with his other hand. “You said the spell called for much magic right? I hope this will be enough.”
“Will you shut up, big brother.” Crimson said, dragging the head of Damian, “Anyways, here is my portion for the spell.”
“Thank you very much,” Chisaki replied, “Fluttershy collapsed from physical exhaustion, but she is okay. Now is everyone ready to use the spell?”
With all three of them exchanging nods, Harmonia warped them to the Field of Elysium where they’d cast the spell.
“Before we start, ” Harmonia interrupted, “But I wanted to tell you something of utmost importance. ”
Chisaki eyed her curiously, “Which is?”
“You have a few options from this point forward: Back out now and stay here in this world with all your new friends, cast the spell and return home, or cast the spell and continue living here. ”
“What if we choose to return home without casting the restart spell?” Silver asked
Harmonia’s face turned into one full of murderous intent, “I’d use my magic to drag the three of you back here and take on a corporeal form just so I could strangle you. I am not going to be responsible for watching over this hellhole. ”
“Geez woman calm down, it was just a joke.” Silver replied
Turning her attention back to Chiski, Harmonia spoke one last time. “So what will it be Chisaki, these two have already expressed their indifference to me earlier. You get to decide the fate of all three of you. ”
Author's Note
This is the last full chapter for this story, and I am planning on doing a semi-short chapter for each ending.
Also I do apologize for any grammatical errors or any choppy writing, I finished this chapter just before midnight after getting a huge spark of inspiration. This has been sitting in my to-finish pile for several months and I am just happy to get it done.
Chapter 5 - And the darkness grows
It had been over a month since Overhaul's encounter with Big Mac, and much has changed in Ponyville. News of Overhaul spread throughout all the cities in Equestria, sending fear into stallions and hermaphrodites all across the nation. With how diligently he has worked, Overhaul has given every single one of the mare from this small town their freedom from their cruel owners.
Overhaul had a simple yet terrifying offer he made to every mare owner in ponyville, hand over their mares or die. While most of the stallions gave him their mares in exchange for sparing their lives, there were a few stallions who Overhaul killed because they refused his offer. Chisaki knew that all of this was to be expected with how violent his path of revolution was going to be, but there were a few things that even surprised him. Even after such a short amount of time he amassed a large number of ponies who were more than willing to support his cause, especially younger stallions who had childhood friends that "didn't grow into a hermaphrodite."
While he had a pretty good idea of what they meant by that, he decided to check if they were lying or not by reading a book on pony biology. Normally Chisaki could've just asked one of the more knowledgeable girls, like Twilight, if what he was told was true. But all six of them, plus Spike, were sent off with some hired help to do a little negotiating with one of Celestia's many enemies.
"So it is true." Chisaki voiced his surprise as he read aloud directly from the book, "When an equestrian mare turns 13, at any moment over the course of the next year they may end up growing a male's genitalia, turning them into a hermaphrodite."
Equally surprised as he was disgusted, Chisaki took a bookmark and place it in his biology textbook. Reforming the world was still a long ways away, but he needed a momentary break to just relax and enjoy the fruits of his labor up unto this point. He took a one handed machete, that was a gift from Fluttershy, he fixed it on his belt and left to wonder this new ponyville he had made. While Chisaki had never needed to use it, it meant a lot to him because Fluttershy had given it to him as a gift.
Meanwhile, at Equestria’s capital city Canterlot, Shining Armor had gotten word from the royal sisters that there was a new threat to Equestria. They had decided to send both him and his wife, Cadance, who was also a hermaphrodite alicorn, to go scope it out. While the married couple were very upset about cutting their honeymoon vacation short, they only had a week left planned anyways, so it wasn't that much of a big deal to them.
Celestia told them that the new threat to Equestria, who had named themselves ‘Overhaul,’ was located in Ponyville. While the two of them were vividly familiar with the name, they had no clue what he was capable of.
Cadance was almost thrilled to go pay that onahole of a sister in law a visit, while Shining was far more worried than Cadance was. It wasn't the same kind of worry that an older sibling had for their younger sibling. Those feelings died out long ago when it was discovered that Twilight didn't become a hermaphrodite when she came of age, but instead his worry was closer to if he had let something of monetary value get ruined or destroyed.
“Hey hon,” Cadance said, “it feels like we’ve been searching for hours. Why don’t we stop and go visit Spike for a foursome with him and your sister?”
“Cadance, dear,” Shining Armor sighed, “It hasn’t even been five minutes since we walked past that ‘Welcome to ponyville’ sign.”
“Come on, it’s been forever since we have seen her.” Cadance whined, “Can’t we at least stop by to let her know we’re here.”
“Fine.” Shining Armor relented, “but absolutely no F***ing while we're there. Knowing you, we'd end up forgetting why we came here and end up staying an extra week.”
As the two of them began getting closer the center of the town, they saw something that disturbed them greatly. several young mares, stallions, and hermaphrodites all taking to each other as if there was no gender hierarchy. While many pony moved out of their way when they noticed Shining Armor and his Wife headed their way, there were also a few he just didn’t seem to care. The married couple looked at each other in mild confusion, was this the danger Celestia was talking about?
After a moment to figure out how to approach this situation, Shining Armor walked up to the group of young adult ponies. But before he could get the words to form in his mouth, they all scattered in several different directions. This happened several times before he managed to grab a mare by the wrist, but she sipped away before he could do anything to her. Eventually, Shining Armor was approached by an almost completely hairless figure in a beak shaped masked. Judging by the clothes he wore, he must've been in the higher rank of something.
“I presume you two must be Shining Armor and Princess Cadance.” Chisaki looked at each of them when he said their respective names,
“Yes you are correct,” Shining Armor said, “and I believe you are Overhaul, am I right.”
“No no no! I my name is Chisaki, Overhaul is the name of my boss.” He lied with a lie he had very well rehearsed, “While I don’t hold a specific title here, I am like a local law enforcement.”
“Oh, I am sorry.” Shining Armor replied, even though something still felt off.
“Don’t worry about it.” Chisaki replied, before changing he calm and friendly demeanor into an expression that would strike fear into the hearts of dragons, “what you should worry about is some recent accusations against you. I got a few mares come up to me saying you were going to rape them.”
“That’s not true!” Cadance chimed in, “We were just exploring the new Ponyville is all, we wouldn't rape any of the mares here.”
“Really?” Chisaki furrowed his brow, “Because I know you two didn’t just come here to explore. Both you and your husband are pretty high up in nobility status, so much so that you oversee other who are in charge of preparing mares for the princesses Celestia and Luna.”
Shining Armor and Princess Cadance were both stunned silent. Had some-pony leaked their orders from the princess? No, this individual was a lot more cunning then what he let on to be. Even though what he said was almost completely common knowledge in larger cities, only a very select few stallions in Ponyville knew exactly what the married couple's title entailed. One of said stallions was the now deceased Big Macintosh.
“Listen, just tell me what your plan was, and I may be willing to negotiate with my boss to let you live.” Chisaki said, “if you wish to speak about it in private, there is a clearing nearby my place we can you."
“…” Shining Armor scowled, “Fine.”
As the pair follow him, Chisaki could tell by the way the walked that they were quickly catching on to what his plan was. If they weren't planning on attacking him now, then they will soon. Luckily, they had reached their destination before any punches were thrown. Shining Armor and Cadance knew this place, this was where Fluttershy's cottage was, and it appeared to be undergoing massive renovations.
"Are you ready to start talking?" Chisaki asked, "My Boss-"
"Just quite it with the act." Shining Armor Blurted out, "You are Overhaul, there is no denying it."
Chisaki stared at them with a blank expression, "Was it that obvious? Well, I must thank you for humoring me up until now."
"You better start telling us what you plans are, or else.” Shining Armor threatened as he pointed his sword a Overhaul’s neck.
"There is nothing that I wish to tell you." Overhaul replied, as he readied himself to fight, "So I will take the 'or else,' "
Clashing head on, Overhaul managed to block most of the impact of the captain’s swing with his machete. With only a moment to react, Overhaul managed to take Shining Armor off guard by delivering a surprise kick to the side of his armor. While the alabaster stallion stumbled over onto his side, Overhaul felt a searing pain in his foot as realized he probably broke something.
But with no time to worry over the repercussions of this fight, Overhaul stayed on the offensive planning on ending this spar as quickly as he could. As Overhaul was about to drive his knife through one of the weak points in his enemy’s armor, a powerful blast of magic struck him to the ground. With Overhaul was thrown to the ground, Shining Armor got off the ground and recomposed himself.
“I hope you haven’t forgotten about me,” Cadance said, “becuase you seemed to have forgotten that there are two of us.”
“That barely hurt.” Overhauled commented, as he put away his knife, “and besides, I think you two have already had enough of a handicap already. I’ve always preferred using my hands.”
Overhaul slammed his hands into the ground, eviscerating his gloves in the process. The ground beneath his hand shattered into particles before being rearranged into reinforced stone gauntlets with razor talons. The pair of gauntlets went all the way up his arm, protecting even his collar bone from any incoming strikes.
The two ponies froze at the sight of such a unique and dangerous ability, but they were quickly jolted back into reality when Overhaul dashed towards them. Shining Armor had dodged to the side hoping to counter attack, but it wasn’t him he was going after this time. Despite Cadence’s best efforts to get away from Overhaul, he had grabbed by the wing joint and threw her at her husband. Making the two collide with each other.
“Are you alright?” Shining Armor asked cadence,
“For the most part,” She replied before looking at her crippled wing, “But if we survive this, I won’t be flying much.”
“How much longer do you need for the spell to work?” Shining asked
“Just a few more minutes.”
But before they could trade any other words, Overhaul began charging at them. Trying to buy as much time as possible, the two of them bolted in opposite directions. With not even a moment to decide, Overhaul decided to pursue the alabaster stallion.
Shining Armor changed to the offensive and attempted to stand his ground against the masked human. When he had swung his sword, a resounding clanking sound was made as it collided with the reinforced stone that protected Overhaul’s arms. With his four talons pointing outwards, Overhaul stabbed his hand into Shining Armor’s stomach, easily penetrating the royal armor he wore.
As he fell to the ground, Shining Armor curled up into the fetal position as he seethed in pain. Blood dripped down from Overhaul’s stone gauntlets as he crippled the royal guard’s captain and left him for dead. But as soon as Overhaul was about to challenge the pink princess, his muscles gave out as he slumped face first into the ground. Even if he had enough willpower to keep his gauntlets assembled, they broke off into small shards of rock as everything below his neck became paralyzed.
“What is going on! Why are my muscles working?!”
Cadance just looked at smiled, “Don’t you remember when you were hit with my magic? It wasn’t meant to harm you, it is a paralyzing aphrodisiac, one of my creations. It’s a magical poison, which like the name implies, paralyzes the target after being active in victims body for some time. Next comes my favorite part, the actual aphrodisiac! When, your body’s functions return, with it comes an insatiable lust. This lust will grow inside you until the point that even the most sound minded individuals will become nothing more then a pack of dogs during the peak of their mating season. Doesn’t it just sound so exciting? You finally succumbing to your lust and raping all those mares you consider your friends.”
That final line was enough to push Overhaul over the edge with rage. Summoning all his will power one last time, Overhaul used his quirk to shaped the ground into two massive stone pillar with Cadance being placed on top of one. The two pillar collided making a large arch above Overhaul as he felt fresh blood rain down from the sky.
With his bodily functions slowly returning to him, he knew he didn’t have much time before he would succumb to its intoxication. Overhaul managed to stumbled his way over to the partially completed building, before locking himself inside. It was impossible to turn this into a long term solution, but he saw no other course of action he could take.
