Author's Note

This season starts off shortly after the season 7 premier episode. Nothing really changes during the season 6 finale and season 7 premier. But this is the last constant that will happen. From here on, everything will be unique and while some story beats will still happen (such as the Pillers returning and the Storm King's Invasion), all events are going to play out DRASTICALLY different from the original timeline.

Season 3: Episode 1 - Princess Priestess Part 1

A Unicorn Stallion was walking around the train car he was in and noticed a female fox girl in the train care praying so he sat down across from her, but chose not to disturb her what so ever.

"Thank you for your patience." The Vixen across from him said as she stopped praying after a short while.

"Well judging from your clothes, you must be new to Equestria and this land mass in general. You seem to hail more from the eastern parts of the world." The Stallion said.

"Something like that. Right now, I'm just going to Ponyville ahead of my husband. My husband said bad things are going on, and wants to be there to encourage others to let their inner light shine forth to dispell the darkness." The Vixen said.

"Ponyville huh...not a day goes by when something crazy ISN'T happening over there." The Stallion said.

"We've arrived at Ponyville Station; all those disembarking must do so now." The train manager said over the loudspeaker. The Vixen got up from her seat and started to get off the train.

"I never got your name stranger." The Stallion said.

"My name is Patra. And where I come from, I'm someone very important." The Vixen said and got off the train.

"There's a WHAT now?" Twilight asked.

"A forign nation's princess is coming to Ponyville in several days. Consider this a way for you to branch out and get to know other rulers besides just me." Celestia said. "Though I don't doubt you'll have much trouble." She added.

"I'll make sure I do you proud." Twilight said simply.

"I know you will Twilight." Celestia said and left.

"Right...Spike, get my checklist ready; I want to make a good first impression so I need to come up with ways to break the ice as they say." Twilight said.

Patra soon arrived at Twilight's Castle, giving off a whistle.

"That's a pretty impressive structure." Patra said, before feeling it. "...Hmm...Interesting. Very interesting. Didn't think the Desert Goddess's half-sister would wind up here of all places." She added. "Hey Goddess of Harmony, we haven't met personally yet, but my name is Patra. I am a Grand Priestess to your half sister the Desert Goddess. I'll be sure to let your half-sister know your alive again later today." Patra said before she stopped touching the castle and then took out a map. "Now let's see here..." Patra said.

Applejack was walking towards Twilight's castle when suddenly she spotted Patra outside the castle looking at a map.

"Hey there young lady. Is there someplace your looking for?" Applejack asked.

"Oh. I'm just looking at the general map for this town my husband got me. He didn't want me getting overwhelmed in a new place after all. Though he really should dial things back a bit when it comes to wanting to not let me get overwhelmed. I'm perfectly fine." Patra said. "My name is Patra by the way. What's your name?" She asked.

"Ma name's Applejack Miss Patra." Applejack said.

"Applejack...hmm..." Patra said before thinking a bit. "...From the name and the way you come off, I'd say your a farmer whose place isn't too far from town." She added.

"That's...right. How did you...?" Applejack asked.

"No need to be so embarrassed. I'm really good at guessing people's occupations. I've gotten really good at that over the years." Patra said.

"Ah see..." Applejack was worried.

"Oh don't be so worried. You know...I could go for a sample of your wares sometime. It'd be a nice way for me to understand you more. And there's no need to be so afraid of me. I'm not really someone you should be afraid of talking to." Patra said.

"Yer a strange one miss Patra. But ya do seem like the friendly sort." Applejack said.

"It's just the way I am. I like socializing with others a whole bunch. Been that way ever since I was six." Patra said.

"Huh..." Applejack said. "That young huh?" She asked.

"Yep. But that's not really a topic I want to bring up during my stay here. My husband will be arriving in a few days and after that, we'll be around." Patra said. Suddenly Twilight came outside.

"Oh hey Applejack. Whose your friend here?" Twilight said.

"Ah. You must be Princess Twilight Sparkle. I am Patra. My husband and I will be staying here in Ponyville for a good long while. My husband will be arriving in a few short days." Patra said.

"Huh. I wonder if he's the royal I was told to expect." Twilight said.

"Nah. My husband has no royal title. And even if he did, while we're here we're not going to be wanted to be treated any differently then the locals here." Patra said.

"Well why don't you come in and we can chat for a bit? I'm interested in getting to know you." Twilight said.

"That sounds very excellent." Patra said.

Meanwhile, in an unknown location...

Darkness swirled and collected onto a single spot as manicail laughter became to haunt the area around this location. The sun was obscured by a pitch dark black cloud in this area as this happened. Eventually the dakrness started to solidify.

"HELLO MULTI-VERSE; IT IS GOOD TO BE BACK!" A Male voice announced before the darkness solidified into a single being, who suddenly laughed a very sinister and evil laugh; their voice was like listening to darkness incarnate.

Elsewhere...

Chrysalis continued to run away from the hive that betrayed her. As she ran, she soon bumped into a stallion.

"Well, if it isn't Chrysalis, Queen of the Changelings. Or I guess I should say former queen of the changelings." The Stallion said. It was none other then Insightful Wraith who was still missing his horn.

"Insightful Wraith. Word on the street is that your a wanted stallion for the things you've done." Chrysalis said.

"Guilty as charged. Guess royalty wants your head after your big evil plan fails drastically. Right now, I'm forced to look for wherever the Alicorn Amulet may have gone off to." Insightful Wraith said.

"What are you going to do with that thing?" Chrysalis said.

"Get ultimate revenge. But in case I fail at that..." Insightful Wraith then focused on Chrysalis. "Well it doesn't hurt to help a fellow villain out if it means they will get revenge for me." He added.

"What is that supposed to mean? All the changelings in my hive turned against me." Chrysalis said.

"There is a changeling hive not too far to the west of here hidden in these woods. They just got done welcoming their King to the throne, but they are without a Queen who can birth the next generation of the hive. They are also very ruthless loving changelings too. I'm sure that you can plot out your revenge while you get tight with their king. He is not unlike you, wanting Changelings to one day rule equestria, but right now, he needs a queen to give him more changelings." Insightful Wraith said.

"Your telling me this why exactly?" Chrysalis asked.

"Like I said, you'll be my back-up plan, just in case my revenge doesn't take out all of Ponyville." Insightful Wraith said. "Besides, after I've destroyed Ponyville, you'll still have the rest of Equestria to rule. Consder my destruction of Ponyville a gift to you...provided I manage to do it." Insightful Wraith said and then left.

"...Insightful Wraith...the legends describing you do not do you justice at all." Chrysalis said. "In fact, I'd argue you live up to your reputation and THEN some." She added as she went off to search for the hive.
