Author's Note

Just like the previous episode, this is one of the five episodes that don't feature Broken Record AKA Second Periculum directly. However, this episode is meant to play off of one of the two episodes that did feature the mentioned unicorn stallion directly. As such, the opening of this story is strange at best. As such, the beginning part will look a bit awkward as a result. It's also a bit shorter then normal too.

The Cut Season: Episode 2 - The Belle and the Drake

Spike and Sweetie Belle soon found themselves on a hill in Ponyville Park; the young couple that includes a sixteen year old filly and a dragon of the same age in terms of pony years had escaped Ponyville's boutique as Rarity and Second Periculum were having tea.

"It's a good thing we got out of there as soon as we could." Sweetie Belle said.

"Yeah. Those two need their alone time." Spike said.

"As do the two of us." Sweetie Belle said, before cuddling close to Spike.

"Yeah. I'm sure you know I had a crush on your sister. Only now do I realize how childish of a crush that was to begin with, considering how much slower I age compared to ponies." Spike said.

"I had a huge crush on you, if you can believe that." Sweetie Belle said. "That's why I so easily accepted wanting to be your special somepony." She added.

"Really? I would've never guessed. But I am glad that you did hold onto that crush. I don't think I would've gotten in with you otherwise." Spike said.

"I can't believe it's already been a full year since that day. Heck, today just so happens to be the one year anniversery since we first got together." Sweetie Belle said.

"Now that you mention it, it is." Spike said. "Sweetie Belle, above all else, I want you to be mine forever. I don't really have anything to propose to you, and besides I think we should wait until we're both a bit older." He said.

"I would love to be with you for as long as I live. I care not for you being a dragon and me a pony. I want to be with you, always." Sweetie Belle said.

"Your so good to me, Sweetie Belle." Spike said.

"That's just how much we are meant for each other." Sweetie Belle said.

"So, how about we go and do something together; just the two of us; to celebrate one year as a happy young pair?" Spike asked.

"You don't need to ask me twice." Sweetie Belle said.

That day, the young couple enjoyed all sorts of different activities together. They went to the farm to have some fun in the orchard, they went to the nearby carnival for to ride the ferris wheel, and the two decided to end the day off with a picnic at sunset.

"Wow, this was one heck of an anniversery." Sweetie Belle said.

"I agree. I don't think I've had this much fun in ages." Spike said.

"Well today more or less confirmed it: I want you to be my mate, forever and for always." Sweetie Belle stated.

"I gladly accept you as my mate, forever and for always." Spike said.

The two young couple went back to watching the sun set on what has been what one could consider...

"THE BEST ANNIVERSERY EVER!" Pinkie Pie said, suddenly bursting out from a nearby bush.

"PINKIE!" Both Spike and Sweetie Belle yelled at Pinkie Pie.

"I'm going I'm going." Pinkie Pie said and left the young couple alone.
