For the past 300 years in Equestria, Ponies and Dragons have been at war with each other. The battles were ferocious and brutal, families were changed forever and the land was divided. Growing up during all of this was one small alicorn maned Aline. Aline unlike the rest of her kind, always wanted to learn about dragons and not fight against them.

Her grandmother was also the same way, but Aline never really knew what her grandmother did. All she knew was that she was an Alicorn like her, had a mysterious Gem and book containing information about dragons.

One day, she discovers a wild pack of dragons shot down and injured near her home. When she frees and nurses them back to health it will set forth a chain of events that could change everything Aline knew about her grandmother.
