Pinkie Pie Buys A New Mirror
Mirrors & Rocks (Extended Version)
Previous ChapterOomph!
Through a prolonged dizzying tube, Rarity had finally made it to the end of it as she fell onto a sand-structured ground, spitting out a few rocks as they had gotten into her mouth during her time going through the tunnel.
Rarity couldn't put the pieces together. She was admiring herself and brushing her mane in the mirror her friend had given her as an early birthday present when all of a sudden she was sent dragging into the mirror, sending her out here, a land filled with rocks.
''Rocks?'' said Rarity, getting back up and dusting herself off before she glanced around. ''Goodness, this would be a place Maud would be at.''
She let out a shriek once the giant boulder looming over her in front of her suddenly vibrated and cracked, having the whole chunk fall off to the side and revealing a hoard of gems. Rarity gasped and her eyes sparkled with absolute delight, later noticing the grey earth pony standing behind the hoard.
''Maud?'' Rarity called out. ''Dear, what are you doing here?''
''What are you doing here?'' Maud asked instead, jabbing a hoof into Rarity's chest.
''Me? I was suddenly sent here by a mirror your sister had sent me as an early birthday present.''
Maud blinked. ''What was that?''
''I said—'' Rarity was cut off when Maud put a hoof in her mouth, then took it away.
Maud trotted around the hoard and approached the unicorn mare. ''I was sent here by a mirror too. I was out in Ponyville with Mudbriar and Starlight when we saw a mirror placed outside the shop glinting in the sunlight so I insisted them we check it out. However, when I touched it, it dragged me here.''
Rarity's eye twitched. ''And I spent the entire day searching for a mirror, but it turns out there was one after all.''
''But the mirror is not an ordinary mirror,'' said Maud.
''I am aware,'' Rarity muttered, trotting away and making her way over to the gems. She beamed brightly before leaping herself into the air and into the pool of gemstones. There were so many of them in different sizes, shapes, and colors; in fact, there were sapphires, emeralds, rubies, diamonds, and many more.
Maud turned and left, leaving Rarity to enjoy her time in the gems alone, while she took the time being stuck here to find out more about this place being sent to. She entrusted herself with a mission, an adventure.
And so, she trotted through the isle of rocks which she would be definitely happy to stay here forever and ever she would still rather miss her friends and of course, her sister who is super-duper protective of her despite being a pony that doesn't talk all that much.
When the isle of rocks had stopped, she soon found herself a trail of pebbles and decided to follow it where she met a hoof path made out of cobblestone. This place really was full of rocks, but what was the point of it? Maybe it was created by one of the princesses to hide something. There had been many things that they had hidden away from their subjects.
She continued trotting along the path when she saw a big cave in front of her, as dark as night, looming over her and the clouds above. But Maud was a brave mare despite showing any emotion, and so she trotted inside where she took out a torch from her mane much like her sister. It ran in the family. So she turned on the torch and directed it on the walls to light it up as she stuck by them along her trot.
There were inscriptions being written on the wall in which Maud tried to squint her eyes and try to make out the text but it was either too small or too difficult to understand what was being written. Maybe it was a language she was not entirely familiar with. Alas, Maud was great at many things but languages were not one of them. She could speak to ponies and rocks, learning to talk to sticks as well from her boyfriend.
She stopped in her tracks to think about him, hearts circulating above her head as a small smile tend to make its way onto her lips. Then she shook her head and continued walking until she found a flash of golden light in the distance so she scurried around the corner yet her steps were still quite slow. Maud was not a very athletic type of pony as she mentioned to Rainbow Dash before, ''I'm not really into winning.''
At last, when she finally reached the golden light, she found herself getting flashed in the eyes by a bright white light until it dispersed, and in front of her floated a flower with magenta petals falling to the floor but somehow reattaching itself to the flower.
It had looked majestic, Maud thought Rarity would say, and she couldn't admit aloud that it was pretty. However, she most likely preferred things to be rough on the outside and sublime on the inside. And what better that could best fit that description than good old rocks.
Not wanting to waste any more time, Maud figured she'd take the flower already as it could be useful later on and tucked it in her cloak's inner pocket, and made her way out of the cave to bathe in the sunlight once again.
She went back to the place she knew Rarity would still be swimming through a pool of gems and she was one hundred and one percent correct. But she considered her eating a gem to be a surprise.
''Rarity.'' Rarity instantly juggled her gem from hoof to hoof trying to keep it afloat until it fell back with the other gems when she heard the voice of Maud call out.
''Oh, Maud,'' Rarity said with relief, trying to calm her heart from hammering against her chest and chuckling sheepishly then clearing her throat. ''There you are. Where had you been? You saw nothing, dear.''
Maud wasn't a pony who would try to embarrass her like that. So instead she took out the flower from her cloak's inner pocket to show it to Rarity.
Rarity's brow furrowed in surprise. ''Oh my, that is absolutely beautiful!''
She tried to take hold of the flower when Maud immediately swat it away from her as if she knew that that was going to happen.
''Don't touch it,'' Maud said, a hint of a blaze in her monotone voice. ''It could be useful to us later on, probably a key to letting us escape this world.''
Rarity pouted. ''I suppose.''
Maud placed the flower back into her cloak again when all of a sudden the sound of rumbling occurred.
''What was that?'' Rarity asked, suddenly alert.
The deep, resonant sound came again. It was Maud. Her stomach was groaning due to hunger and she realized that there was a lack of nutrients around these parts.
Maud was a pony that ate rocks and technically gems too as they are buried within rocks, but she knew that Rarity decorated dresses with gems, not eat them. But she did catch her trying to eat one.
She picked up a ruby from the hoard and placed it in her mouth as she munched on it, chewing it with delight and satisfaction despite not showing any emotion. Soon she picked up a sapphire from the hoard and hoofed it over to the unicorn.
''Oh,'' Rarity said with a chuckle. ''In case you know, Maud, that I don't eat gems or rocks.''
''I'm not asking you to eat rocks,'' Maud said. ''Haven't you ever considered gems to be rather juicy?''
Rarity's ears flicked as if the grey mare had just read her sensations. ''I, uh...''
''Just try it and you'll find out if it's true or not,'' Maud said, at last, putting the sapphire in Rarity's grip and trying to tighten it within her hold.
Rarity looked at her with pleading eyes but she only received a nod from the grey mare. She sighed; she had wanted to know how it tasted ever since she was a filly or ever since she met Spike. And so, she levitated the sapphire and moved it closer to her wide-opened mouth.
Her eyes darted back and forth as she noticed Maud watching her. She didn't really feel very comfortable with her doing that, but nonetheless, Rarity closed her eyes and got ready to taste the formidable colorful stone. When she placed it in her mouth, she began licking it at first and she noticed how it was indeed very juicy. She thought of it like hard candy or those rock candies Pinkie force-fed her. She licked the gem and tried warming it up by melting it in her mouth, then the rest she put pressure with her teeth.
Surprisingly there were no broken teeth or any cavities much to the unicorn's relief.
Alas, both of the mares had stopped rumbling as one gem for the unicorn was enough but Maud attempted to eat as many as she could.
''I've always been meaning to ask you this,'' Rarity said. ''How do you and your family attempt to eat rocks?''
''I guess it's because we have stronger teeth than normal ponies,'' Maud explained. ''We have rocks, rock pies, and rock soup for breakfast, brunch, lunch, and dinner. And for dessert we have gems.''
''Interesting,'' Rarity murmured as she played around with one of the gems.
Maud looked up at the sky. ''We need to get a move on,'' she said. ''It's getting dark and I've been here during nighttime and you don't want to know what lurks in the darkness.''
''Well, let's get a move on then, shall we?'' Rarity asked, putting up a smile through the new-founded fear Maud had put her through.
Maud decided to collect some gemstones and put them in her cloak while Rarity just got two of her favorite ones and started playing it around in her magic during their trot. Maud led herself back to the cave only this time taking her friend with her.
She stuck a torch in the ground to illuminate the cave and Maud tried finding some flint to create a fire. She placed out rocks on each end as they began seating themselves down and breathing in the toasty air, warmth and light radiating back and forth.
Rarity could have sworn she had noticed a glow on Maud's face from the corner of her eye. That stubborn mare, always refusing to show her feelings.
Maud held onto two sticks where rocks and gems were attached to them, passing one onto her friend, and they began roasting it in the crackling fireplace. Then Maud took one gem out from her cloak and hoofed it over to the unicorn sitting in front of her.
''For me?'' Rarity asked, levitating it in her magic.
''For being a great friend,'' Maud said.
Rarity's eyes melted. ''Maud...''
But Maud hushed her down and took her cloak off to put it around the unicorn's withers once she sat next to her. Flattered, Rarity snuggled up against the grey mare and unfortunately couldn't see the small smile slowly appearing on her face.
The morning ray of sunlight came filtering into the cave which awoke the two mares sleeping in each other's embrace. Rarity gave out a yawn as Maud merely and quietly fluttered her eyes open.
Maud placed saddlebags on both of their backs she made out of leaves last night and they started making their way out of the cave and found an area where it lacked rocks or anything else. Maud got out the flower from inside her cloak and placed it in front of them.
She turned to Rarity who began lighting up her horn and concentrating on finding the flower's shape. She wasn't good at magic so she tried using a simple spell. But none was needed when the flower automatically vibrated to life and they could see a vision of some sort.
Maud and Rarity sat themselves down and began watching intently.
There was their friend Pinkie Pie stirring batter in a bowl and then placing it in the oven when all of a sudden the door slammed open and in stormed Starlight Glimmer and Mudbriar.
''Starlight! Muddy!'' Pinkie's voice was heard. ''What's up?''
''No time,'' said Starlight. ''Pinkie, have you seen Rarity lately?''
''Or Maud,'' Mudbriar added.
Pinkie thought back to when she last saw them. ''Now that I think about it, I haven't seen them for two days. Not since the day I gave Rarity the mirror as an early birthday present.''
Starlight's eye twitched and looked at Mudbriar, then turned back to Pinkie. ''You gave Rarity a mirror?''
''Yeah, what's wrong with that?'' Pinkie asked, not seeing her friends' stiff expressions. ''She was desperate for it too.''
Starlight attempted to take a breath. ''Right. Well, where is the mirror?''
''Probably in Rarity's room,'' Pinkie said. ''Why?''
''Follow us,'' she ordered as she and Mudbriar already exited the bakery so Pinkie had no choice but to follow.
The boutique's door was opened by Sweetie Belle and even she was looking for her sister. The four of them went to the room where the mirror was kept and Starlight stepped forward to examine it.
''It may look like a regular, everyday mirror but it's definitely enchanted.''
''Can you do something?'' Pinkie asked. ''To get them back? If you say they're trapped in there.''
''I can try cast a spell,'' said Starlight as she lighted up her horn with an essence of turquoise. Her eyes closed and her magic gripped onto the mirror, casting a spell on it which eventually got it to beam a bright pink.
Everyone watched in awe but noticed two mares amidst a sanded area.
''Hey, that's Maud!'' Pinkie exclaimed.
''And Rarity,'' Starlight added, blowing the smoke away from her horn.
''Well, let's get them out!'' Pinkie said. ''Can they hear us?''
''Pinkie?'' Rarity said, turning to Maud. ''Oh, darling, we're so glad we saw another face.''
''Hooray!'' Pinkie blasted confetti. ''She can hear us!''
''Yes, yes.'' Rarity rolled her eyes as everyone cheered, she was utterly exhausted and just wanted to get back home. ''Starlight, dear, a little help please?''
''Oh, right. Let me just get my spellwork in check, and we should be able to—'' She paused, when her pupils started to take the form of frying pans. ''Uhm, Rarity?''
Pinkie gasped, hooves flying to her mouth. ''Maud!''
Rarity and Maud were confused about what they were trying to imply until they were beckoned to turn around as a drool of spit splashed against their coats and notice a creature now standing before them. Terrified, Rarity's whole physique couldn't move and instead stood still until Maud heroically pulled her away and started running away from the beast, keeping close to the flowery vision.
Rarity's heart was hammering against her heart, not just because of some beast trying to attack them (she had faced far worse than that) but also because of the fact that Maud was showing a whole new side of her made her heart flutter and drop.
''What is that thing?!'' Rarity shrieked, frantically looking at Maud who said nothing and instead quickened her pace which ushered her to do the same.
The two stopped to a halt, heaving out exhaustive breaths, as the beast roared, all of its spit going through them. Rarity cringed, but Maud had an idea and placed the unicorn to the side while she handled the rest.
She picked up a rock and juggled it from hoof to hoof before launching it at the beast where its eyes widened as well as its mouth in agape which enabled the rock to go inside and made the beast choke. Soon, it started shrinking and dispersing from their sight.
Eyes wide from shock, Rarity was speechless but alas, this wasn't the first time she'd seen Maud saving the day. She quickly ran towards the grey mare and put herself in her chest.
''I'm okay, and so are you,'' Maud murmured as she placed a hoof on the unicorn's back. ''Let's go home now.''
She then realized that the unicorn was crying; Maud was surprised, she had never quite seen a time when the most confident and sophisticated unicorn in all of Equestria would break. Feeling pity, she spent a few good minutes comforting her, not caring if others were watching.
After her adventure in the other world with her friend's sister, Rarity had spent the rest of her day at the Ponyville local bar, drinking onto a mouthful of a dozen cups. Rarity wasn't a mare so indignant in drinking, but her emotions were quite hazy. She would often have one glass of wine while doing her work, and nothing more, nothing less.
She was about to pick up another cup until a hoof stopped her from doing so. She glanced up to see the face of the pony she had to be stuck with for the whole day and that pony sat opposite her.
''Stop,'' Maud said, and Rarity knew not to go further with her.
Rarity sighed. ''Why are you here, darling? Haven't you had enough of me for one day?''
Maud merely blinked at her. ''What do you mean?''
She sighed again as if annoyed. ''Please, I'm really not in the mood at the moment so could you please—''
''What's wrong?'' Maud asked, giving a somewhat sentimental gaze of her own. While it had looked neutral, it was the best she could come up with. Despite everything, she still strived to give some sort of condolence.
Rarity didn't answer and instead continued ordering more drinks to her table, even the bartender thought she was having too much and that she should stop. But with one single glare and a bag of bits, that was enough to keep the bartender quiet and keep giving her more drinks as asked. The bartender whipped up the ingredients and mixed up another drink, setting it before her.
''If you want a cup, you could always order it, you know, instead of just looking at me. Or I'll order it for you in my case of generosity, it's the least I could do for everything you did for me today.''
''No thank you,'' said Maud before getting up and pulling Rarity to get up as well.
''Where are you taking me now?'' she asked, irritation clear in her voice.
''Follow me,'' she simply said, and Rarity could tell it was an order from her and so she reluctantly relented.
Rarity looked at the grey hoof pulling onto her white hoof. She wanted to pull away but a part of her didn't want to. She was so tired and dazed to even care at this point.
She followed the grey mare out of the bar where the stars were twinkling in the sky and the moon shining over them, the soft silver glow draping a blanket on the meadow and the two mares below.
''I don't want you to be drunk,'' Maud said. ''Let me escort you home.''
Rarity finally let go of her hoof. ''I'm fine.''
At that, Maud had lost it. ''What's your problem?''
Rarity knew she had no use in hiding anymore. She wanted to tell her.
''I'm sorry,'' she blurted out. ''I've judged you ever since Pinkie Pie introduced you to us. But ever since today, you showed a whole new side of you. A somewhat spark ignited between us. I don't know what it was but I knew it was special for the both of us.''
''I thought I was the only one,'' Maud replied.
''Huh?'' Rarity mumbled.
Maud stepped closer and brought her hooves onto Rarity's thighs, pulling her into a kiss. The latter was blinking in surprise at this act; it wasn't monotone at all, but rather, it was spontaneous.
Rarity pulled away to breathe and placed a hoof on Maud's chest, her head leaning against hers. ''But aren't you with Mudbriar?'' she asked, concern growing.
Maud didn't say anything and instead removed her cloak and placed it around Rarity's withers which she thought rather charming of an act. Soon, Maud slowly led the drunk mare in the direction of her home.
When they had reached, Maud said her goodbye and was about to turn away had Rarity not pulled her hoof.
''Don't go,'' Rarity whispered, looking at her with puppy-like eyes. The night breeze swept past them and it was refreshing going through her gentle curls, the low rhythm of the wind filling the air.
''You're drunk,'' Maud said.
''I know,'' Rarity said quietly. ''But I don't want this to be over. This might not happen again.''
Maud didn't want to leave either, but she was a responsible pony so she did the thing she thought was best.
''I'll come back tomorrow,'' she promised before trotting away, letting the unicorn have her sleep and sober up.
Rarity watched her go until she was nothing but a speck in the distance. She turned to face the door and used her magic to open it and enter inside.
Rarity woke up the next morning with her daily yawn, remembering what happened last night. A frown marred her face as her body felt debilitated. She was just promised that she would come back; surely she hasn't forgotten her promise, no?
Alas, she heard her window make a knocking sound where initially she just thought it was the sound of the morning wind but when she removed her curtains to the other side she saw the face of someone she had been intimate with recently. Happily, she opened the window and allowed entry for the pony.
''Goodness. Are you all right, dear?'' Rarity asked, checking her out.
''I told you I'd come back,'' Maud said.
Rarity's heart fluttered. She remembered.
''You remembered,'' she said, smiling as her face softened.
Maud leaned forward and planted a kiss on Rarity's muzzle.
Rarity breathed and pulled Maud in, removing her dress. She disconnected her lips from hers for a while to say, ''you were such a lovely dress.''
''You can keep it,'' Maud offered.
''Darling! I wouldn't,'' Rarity said, flattered though. ''It's your life!''
''My life is you,'' she said effortlessly, nuzzling into her white coat.
Rarity hummed playfully, toying with the cloak. ''Rather cheesy of you. But what about Pinkie Pie? That poor dear would be devasted to hear you say that to a pony that's not her!''
Maud snorted. ''She's my sister. That's different.''
''Ah, I suppose so.'' Rarity chuckled, letting that subside for now. She brought herself into another kiss. ''I can't seem to stop myself anymore.''
''Then don't,'' Maud said. ''Which reminds me...'' She dug a hoof into her cloak and pulled out a small box, receiving a gasp from Rarity.
That soon? Rarity thought as she watched Maud open the box and reveal a necklace with a sapphire matching her cutie mark. Her heart dropped but flattered nonetheless. She still kept her smile on as Maud placed the necklace around her neck and hooked it securely once she removed her hair out of the way.
''Do you like it?'' Maud asked.
Rarity took hold of it for a closer look at it, then pecked a kiss on Maud's lips indicating that, ''I love it.''
A smile appeared on Maud's lips and she pulled Rarity in for another kiss, this time longer. They made their way over to Rarity's bed where they laid themselves on top and Maud moved her body on top of the unicorn.
''Goodness,'' Rarity said after departure. ''You really are a rock in bed.''
''Mount me,'' she said rather straightforwardly.
''Well, that was short and direct, don't you think?'' Rarity said sarcastically and wasted no time doing as she was told, joining in on the satisfaction once again and putting in passion to the kiss. She climbed herself over the grey mare and started pressing her lips against hers as hard as a rock.
''You're not bad yourself,'' Maud said as she held onto the unicorn's hips to steady her in position. They were so delicate, so soft.
''I'm not usually a knack to be top, you know,'' Rarity admitted. ''But I do try.''
She brought herself laying on the bed and pushed the grey mare on top of her. She struggled to find the comfort to be bottom until she finally adjusted.
Maud had an idea. She started planting kisses from her face all the way down to her belly button and Rarity moaned in the process in response.
''Oh, yes, that seems to do the trick. You seem to be doing a better job than those spa ponies,'' Rarity commented as Maud started massaging her back with her hooves.
Maud stopped to take a look at her. ''I didn't know you could throw away your dignity.''
Rarity sat upright. ''Err, well. Surely a lady deserves pleasure every once in a while, no?''
A small smile made its way to the grey mare's lips and continued kissing her.
Now it was Rarity's turn to pleasure her and so moved on top of her and started kissing her body where Maud got out a whipped cream bottle from her cloak and insisted on Rarity squirting it all over her body and licking it off, now that was hot. Maud started moaning in the process which sounded like howls from rock winds.
''You are a rock, my rock,'' Rarity whispered as she laid down next to her.
''Look who's been cheesy now,'' Maud said with a grin, planting a kiss on her cheek. ''You rock my world.''
Rarity blushed, feeling her pussy to be wet. So soaking wet. ''Ah, a lady tends to pleasure herself even when things get overdone.''
Little did both of them know that two other ponies were having the time of their lives as well.
The Great and Powerful Trixie giggled as Mudbriar humped over her body, kissing her all the way down from face to body, receiving moans from the showmare in the process.
''What do you suppose Maud would react about this?'' Trixie asked.
Mudbriar spoke in a very matter-of-fact tone. ''Judging by what I saw earlier when she was in the mirror world with our good friend Rarity, I say she's busy doing the same thing with her.''
Trixie giggled further as Mudbriar continued rubbing circles on her body and planting more kisses, her giggles being replaced with more saucy moans.
