Even when I was still human it was nothing but pain and death... I have to say though being a protogen is completely different from being a human, to be honest though I barely the life back when I was a hairless ape. Unlike humans, protogens aren't born they are built being 70% Machine and 30% organic. Like the rest of my brothers and sisters, our organic 'bodies' are grown within gene-tanks though unlike most living creators we aren't grown with an immune system or strong limbs. We stay in a tank for nearly one earth year after being fully grown where we are processed and ready for development, the process for us is slow but far faster than humans. See after one year our bodies are already mature but our minds are still that of a newborn even with my previous knowledge It wouldn't be enough for me to survive in my new body. When being processed our first implant is the installation of the brain cyberware and when complete our minds are filled with learning such things as the history of our people to science of all kinds and finally combat. Even the basic research protogen has combat programming in them. During this process which I was glad we weren't aware of our surroundings, once we are undergoing programming our bodies are removed from the birthing tanks. You didn't want to be awake for this next step, our bodies are now set for our transformation into our more iconic forms as flesh, bone, and limbs are removed to make room for the more improved parts. Sadly some protogens don't survive this process some wake up during the transformation by accident or their bodies can't handle the transformation dying in the most painful way possible. It's pretty dark for a furry species but everything has a dark side no matter what it is. With our new bodies ready we are brought back into the world with the first thing we are seeing is the bright light of the final room. Other protogens help us slowly step into the real world... or this case... space, as I was helped by two protogen nurses I saw the stars and the black void of space for the first time while in the deep void itself. This was to show all of 'newborns' that we are now a part of a bigger picture than we could ever imagine and I had to admit it sent the message pretty well. Never had I seen something so breathtaking in my human life... The 12 out of the 20 who made it myself being one of them were called a void-grown, unlike some protogens who are created on coloney worlds we are created on a huge starship known as Arks thatm makes the eldar craftworlds of 40k look like shrimp compared to a shark. The fleet we were in had to be nearly three times the size of the empire's fleet at endor during star wars episode six, though this was a military fleet. I was born into the government body known as the Cyber-United or CU for short, where protogens AND synths work together in perfect harmony which kinda surprised me seeing how both are like oil and water but then again I wasn't a protogen that you would expect. The visor we wore wasn't our face but a part of our culture kinda like a familiar race from a video game I once played, but unlike them, these protogens could take them off without worrying about getting sick but it was extremely rude and disrespectful. See our faces are an important thing that we would only show to ones we love but seeing how there aren't any families you are created into it was something that you could see and that was it. Many families in the CU are either a protogen x protogen, protogen x synth (0_0), or synth x synth, or the uncommon pack system where basically it's their version of a harem... Why am I not surprised. Still better than that devil and angels anime I barely watched. I was placed into the system as soon as possible along with the other 11 where we pick what we want to do and then assigned to a job. This usually takes a month to process so during that time we had a lot of free time till then, I usually spent my time in the library or in combat sims. Though I ran into one of my pod brothers known as F5-55 or Fives, kinda like the clones from star wars we don't really use our destinations. My Destination was Z3-R0 or Zero which I had to say was somewhat familiar to me but due to years of service my past life began to seem more and more like a old dream. Fives and I were pretty close friends it was kinda sad to say the least when we had to part to ways but we would run into each other since we both picked combat roles unlike the few of our pod siblings who chose the others that would have them go far into the void of space to explore or start new colonies. I was on a dreadnought known as the Reach it was my home for many earth years but due to my Protogen body I was basically Immortal and so were my crewmates. It's true what they say about ship crews after being with each other for nearly over 50 earth years we grown pretty close hell romance relationships were quite common on all ships in the CU but highly recommend not to happen but that hasn't stopped anyone even the higher ups from fucking. Still a virgin though... though I have thought about getting into a relationship with this one unit that's a few doors from my room. Rose or RS-24, she's always nice to me and we've helped each other on missions and other jobs around the ship and sometimes would eat (if you call drinking from a tube eating...) at the mess hall and otherwise. Sadly this wasn't to be... Before I could even ask her the war started. An empire that was known as the Enlightened a group of zealots who believe that the entire universe is theirs for the taking and all other groups must bow to them or be destoried. The CU wasn't going to bow down to some genocide group that made dick-stash look nice and nor we going to avoid them for what they have done. So the war began worlds were Destroyed and many races where whipped out that the Enlighten used as cannon fodder. The Enlightened bit off a bit more than they can chew with fighting the Cyber-united still they had large numbers with the many MANY different races they had enslaved. The Enlightened were very sore losers if they couldn't make a world or couldn't hold one they would destroy it along with burning out the star to the systems they couldn't have. They were, even so, bold to try and assault one of our Arks that was bigger than anything that they had and they thought we only had the one! I could only bet the looks on their faces when they jumped into real space where they thought there was only one Ark but... There was three! Still, they didn't care they thought they could take the three and the many dreadnoughts and capital ships escort, the biggest surprise that they ever would get. The enlightened seemed unending and turned down the many chances to surrender, they weren't going to stop until both protogen and synth were all whipped out. The reach didn't really see any combat since we're in the inner system defending a well-defended shield system, which is a system where the worlds have massive rings around them along with the star covered in a cover that was to keep the star in a stable and powerful state while giving off its life giving light to the worlds around it. As I was watching the news about the enlighten attacks getting more and more desperate we were attacked by a cluster of the enlightened ships along with the many stolen CU ships and cargo ships they had converted into makeshift fighting ships. Got to see we were not expecting this attack on a well-defended system... Still, we hit them hard but the reach took most of the punishment. Our core was damaged and many of the escape pods were destoried along with the hanger bays, never got to see Rose one last time though. The escape pod I was in was jammed and the reach was critical still this life was 1,000,000,000,000 times better than the one I had before. Here's to hoping the next one was good.. You could say I was surprised finding myself alive and well in the same escape pod but no longer on the Reach! But on a planet, a very familiar planet. *Hiss* The pod opened up from the barren patch of disturbed grass as the small crater from the soft landing from the escape pod coming in from... somewhere. The crater was quite small too small, for if it would fall from space it would have made a bigger crater even with the chute system deployed. Though the chute system wasn't deployed and the pod seemed to have crashed from a shorter distance than from orbit. As the hatch to the pod slid open the protogen sitting inside got up placing his hand on the edge of the pod as he looked around. The blue 'eyes' of the protogen scanned the surroundings as he hummed to himself seeing the bright blue sky and trees that looked oddly familiar to him. Getting down from the upright escape pod Zero kinda felt like an ODST behind enemy lines but from what he knew the Enlighten didn't land on any of the planets of the system but... this wasn't any of the planets of the system. For one the star in this system was yellow unlike the powerful blue star of the CU system the Reach was defending along with that the worlds of the system didn't have any folra life like what was before him along with that he couldn't see the massive ring around the planet. Visor: Da fuck? Confused he tried to connect to any Protogen signal but... came up with nothing, hell the Enlightened signals weren't even coming up either. Zero was confused... "This is new..." Turning back to the pod he pulled out the supply box and placed it on his back as his four weapons were ready for anything. Simple weapons that one would need from an assault rifle, a shotgun, a sniper rifle, and a handgun lucky these things have self-recharging power cells though the only thing he needs to worry about is them overheating. Food and water weren't really necessary for a protogen since they are mostly machine and Zero the many upgrades he gotten over the years but it still was nice to eat and drink to remind him he was still organic... somewhat. He would scout the area ahead and come back to the pod later before nightfall and from what he could read he had about 7 hours before that would happen. He then began to walk into the forest as his metal-covered paws gently went through the grass that reminded him of the grass of earth... but that couldn't be though these trees looked like oak from Earth as well. Confused he pressed on really hoping he wasn't back on earth for if that was the case it would suck because from what it seemed there wasn't anything man-made in orbit and if this is earth then he would be in the past. "Eh I could always kill dick-stash," Zero said to himself as he placed his hands behind his head. "But that would mean... Nah it wouldn't be a paradox... would it?" Placing a hand on his visor's chin he begin to think. "Though... something tells me this isn't Earth feels too..." Looking around Zero felt off. "Cartoony?" Has everything seemed like this? Going forward he then passed deeper and deeper into the forest as he then stopped when he saw a familiar sight... A path! And this wasn't made by animals. Going left he began to walk down the path as he went up a hill wondering if this was earth where he would be, it wouldn't suprise him if he was in a human made series and from the few series he still remembered it would be something fantasy like Castlevania or something. "PFFT!" When he made it to the top he saw it, yes this was a series he knew but it wasn't the gore-filled dark ages of the Castlevania series but none other than the famous kids series. "My little pony..." Zero sighed really hoping for a adventure life or something but he would have to listen to the values of 'Friendship' god that was the one thing that annoyed the hell out off him when he watched this show when he was a human and it still bugs him even now as a protogen. Why not a furry world or something? Then again MLP is a furry series it does have dragons, cats, sharks, and other animal races that stand on two feet along. It does depend on what gen he is in right now... 'Please be gen 4' Coming down he finally met the welcome sign. "WELCOME TO PONYVILLE HOME OF THE ELEMENTS OF HARMORY AND PRINCESS TWILIGHT!" "Alright before season 10," Zero smiled as he still thought givening some 'child' compared to Celestia and Luna with godly power was a kinda stupid move but that is how the ball rolls. Reaching into the pack he pulled out a poncho and put it on, not a cloak but still cyade would dig it. 'What was that woman's name again? Damn it's been so long... Then again I never really played it... yet I did own it... weird... guess I will always be a halo boy but it was the first video game I played... ironically sly cooper was the first that I owned,' As he begins to try and remember his human past as the poncho he wore didn't cover everything like a cloak would do but covered enough just his hands, paws, and some of his visor was showing. Just turning the visor fatial features off he walked in and there it was in all its glory Ponyville the buzzing town of the series! And hints the name full of ponies! Not a single non-pony thought, but what was surprising these ponies weren't like in the show but anthro! Kinda confusing from how things looked there should be some non-ponies around, hell where was the best zebra in the series Zecora? Zero shrugged it off thinking she could be at her hut brewing up some potions or helping the CMC out. 'Though I have to wonder why didn't I get greeted by pinki-' *Cue meme sound effect here* "HITHERE!" "OH! SWEET CREATOR!" Zero for the first time in a long time got startled which is kinda hard to do to a protogen due to there sensors they have. Pinkie smiled as Zero stood on one leg as his hands were in the air as he was startled by the wide grin pinkie pie smiling right at him. The two stared at each other before Zero slowly got back to two paws as Pinkie silently bounched in place as she looked at Zero. "Um... hi?" Zero said. "HITHEREMYNAMEISPINKIEPIEANDYOUMUSTBETHENEWPONYTHATCAMEINTOTOWNBECAUSEMYPINKIESENSEALWAYSTELLMEWHERETHEREISSOMEPONYNEWINTOWNAND- OH!!! IHAVETOTHROWYOUAWELCOMETOPONYVILLEPARTY! THATMEANSI'LLHAVETOBAKEYOUACAKE! WHAT'SYOURFAVOITEFLAVOR! DON'TTELLME! VANILLA?! NOWHATABOUTVELVET! OHHHHICECREAMISALWAYSGOODCANEVERGOWRONGWITHAICECREAMCAKE!" Pinkie fired question after question at Zero who even with his super computer-like brain couldn't process the words she was firing like a minigun. "Pinkie pie!" Said pony stopped shooting words at the poor Zero as a familiar voice entered the ring. As a familiar white-coated pony in a very fancy get-up came down from the road with her heels clicking down the way, as Rarity came down. "Now what have we all said about you asking questions so fast everypony you meet?" Rarity asked pinkie. "But-" "No buts missy! Now then sorry about that Mr- OH HEAVENS!" She turned to Zero. "Huh?" "What on Luna's moon are you wearing!?" Rarity pointed out to the standard surivial poncho. "This? Its a..." "An eye sorrow that's what it is! Darling you must come with me we need to get you better clothes than that... thing!" Rarity said. "I'm fine and besides I don't have any money," "Nonsense I am will you to make you some new clothing for free beside it would be a crime against fashion from me to let you go around in that!" Rarity said. "But I-" "No buts to you too mister! Come on then we need to-" She then grabbed Zero's hand and froze. ... "My darling your hand... are you alright?" Zero looked up at her. "Um yeah why?' "Is this... armor? What is on your face?" Zero began to panic. "Um..." "HEY GUYS!" Before Rarity could speak up another familiar face came up. "Your not going to believe what just happened see I was was-" As rainbow dash began to shot on and on about how awesome she was Rarity look up for a moment and Zero used this time to quietly slip away as he began to tip-toe from the ground. That was when he bumped into another familiar face. "Oh sorry there partner!" Rubbing his head Zero looked up to see Applejack herself look down at him. "Here let me help you up," As she then helped him up and began to dust him off. "Thanks sorry about that didn't see where I was going," Zero apologized. "It happens to everypony besides a little dirty didn't hurt nopony," Applejack said but the word dirty caused Rarity to snap back. "DIRT!" She ran over to the two. "You have dirt on that thing now! Darling it is dire you come with me now we must get you something new for that look of yours! What will other ponies think of you when they see you with dirt on you?" Applejack faced palmed. "Rarity its just a expression and besides its just a poncho," Applejack said. "I don't care what it is! It's more awful than that time when Zecora came in with that dust cloth she called a cloak!" Rarity said as Zero sighed. Applejack and Rarity begin argue as Zero just stood there. "Best sit down," Turning his head to Rainbow who was bummed out since she couldn't finish her story when Rarity heard the word dirt. "Its going to be a while," Sitting on a crate with her head on her hands with her elbows on her knees as Rainbow dash sat with pinkie pie bouncing in place watching the two argue. Zero sat down on the crate next to her as he knew it was best not to look bad by trying to get away, sighing he sat down next to the daredevil. "They always like this," He asked. "Like everyday," She said. "Come on Rainbow it's not that bad they are just having a friendly argument!" pinkie pie said with joy. "Yeah yeah 'friendly'," Rainbow said sitting up straight. "Welp... names rainbow dash you might have heard of me," Rainbow said with her chest puffed out in pride. "Ummmm... not really," Zero said as she deflated. "Oh come on! I'm a element of harmony loyalty? The coolest one!" Zero shook his head as she crossed her arms and grumbled. "ENOUGH! This gentle pony is coming with me for a makeover if you like it or not!" Rarity said grabbing one of Zero's arms. "No he's not it's just a poncho!" AJ grabbed the other.. "Oh no!" As the two began to pull Zero felt his arms sockets whine from the pull of two strong ponies which surprised him not knowing Rarity was this strong. It felt like his connection ports to his arms were going to break until he felt himself no longer between the two as they fell onto the ground and the taste of copper entered his mouth. "That's enough you two," 'Oh boy its bookworm herself,' Seeing now that he was now at the side of two familiar faces. Spike the dragon who was helping Rarity up of course and Princess Twilight. 'Oh maker help me...' Author's Note 3,500+ words! This chapter is thicc as the art I picked for Zero because: DAMN BOY HE THICC! I know it could be the armor but you can't deny the Thicc-ness. Speaking of Thicc... File restored? I wounder which one was it? Though I do sure hope I did my original Protogen story Justice with this remake because oh boy I'm not getting those hours of sleep I should have taken! Still... And no Zero isn't a Mary sue heck this is a NERFED Zero because unlike the original he doesn't use plasma weapon and doesn't have a HF blade. Zero stood there as Spike twilight's number one sla- I mean assistant looked down at the 'feet' of the newcomer to see... Paws? Spike froze as he slowly looked at his dragon eyes seeing more and more things that told him this wasn't a pony, from the metal clawed fingers coming from the long sleeves of poncho along with what looked like a mask on the face of the being that poked out. Reaching for Twilight spike was about to get her attention but stopped when Rarity snapped... "Twilight! I don't care if your the princess or not we can't have somepony wearing a dishrag for clothing I will not allow it!" Applejack laughed. "You call that a dishrag? Rarity that Poncho he's wearing is a lot better than that fancy-smashie clothes you make," Applejack said with a smile. "*Rarity gasp* You. Take. That. Back!" "Make me," Applejack grinned as Rarity stared into her eyes as sparks flew like out of an anime. 'Oh boy...' Before the two could fight it off a gust of wind blew past the group sending Zero's hood back as the small action grabbed evreypony/dragon attention. "I'm just going to go," Turning to leave he again bumped into someon- er pony. "Oh sorry," Zero said as a familiar buttermilk color pony looked up at him who was the one that bumped into him. "Excuse me I was just leaving," As he began to leave his ears were flat against his skull. 'Damn it I was hoping that wouldn't happen... damn wind why do you still do that?' "EHHHHHHHHHH!" Zero froze. "What? What's happ-" Zero before he could turn he got body-slammed to the ground by what felt like a tank as he tumbled onto the ground. "COME OFF YOU DAMN THING! YOU'RE A HUMAN I JUST KNOW IT!" Lyra screamed but before she could do it Applejack and Rainbow dash pulled her off with their combined strength. "That doesn't matter but look at you now darling! We need to get a new get-up it's now covered in dirt!" Rarity said as Zero turned to her but as he did his Visor lit up blue as the group was slightly surprised by this action but soon saw the expression on Zero's visor. ?_? "Well for everything I was really hoping the first contact will be a pleasant one apparently I was wrong," Twilight's ears shot up upon hearing this. Lyra said as she was taken away by some guards and followed by a disappointing Bonbon as a small crowd began to surround the strange-looking creature. "Um... again what is a human?" Zero asked. "Some creature that she supposedly thinks is a race in Equestria but there isn't any physical proof of their existence," Twilight said. "But besides that, I have SOOOO many questions! Do you have a male and female gender or do you reproduce a different way? How did you accomplish space travel? How many are you out there? How-" Spike placed his claw on his mast- sorry 'Friend's' mouth. "Sorry she would keep going on going and going if I didn't stop her," Spike said. "It's alright," Zero said with a smile. Twilight pushed his claw away. "I have so many questions for you! Are you alone here or are there others? Where's your mothership?!" Twilight said with a notepad out. "Um... Well... Yes I am alone and that's the thing... I accidently crashed here... I think," Zero said. Rainbow dash turned to Zero. "What do you mean 'I think'?" Rainbow dash asked to which Zero spoke. "Well all I remember was my ship the dreadnought 'the reach' one of the two dreadnoughts that was defending the Xenom system was under fire and my escape pod was jammed leaving me stuck to the ship as it exploded but that leaves the question to me... why aren't I dead?" Zero answered. The group looked at him. Twilight was the first to speak "Than how did you get here?" Twilight asked. "Well that's the thing see escape pods are to land quick softly but mine landed TOO softly and my escape pod's chute system didn't activate so I had to landed within 250ft but that doesn't make since," Zero said as the group looked at him. "Weird," Rainbow dash said as the rest nodded. "Well actually," Twilight spoke. All turned to her. "There has been some strong magical surges that have been going around they are very weak but in the entire history of magic surges I've never heard about one so big that something can come though!" Twilight said. "Though it wouldn't surprise me if that did happen," Zero just looked at her. "I... don't even know how to respond to that," Zero stated. "Why? I mean you too must have magical surges as well from where your from since magic is greatly needed for anything to happen," Twilight said as Zero blinked. "Magic? Uhhhhhhh... your kidding right? We don't use magic," Zero said as all looked at him wide eyed. "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAT!" "What? Magic is a myth it can't be used or-" "I used magic on you to teleport you away from Applejack and Rainbow dash," Zero looked at her blankly as his visor's face was replaced with a spinning wheel. "Uh Twilight I think you broke him," Rainbow said. "OR HER! We never got their gender!" Pinkie stated. "Or if they even have one," Spike added. The wheel went away before Zero's face came back. "Alright one: this is very interesting but two: I'm a male," Zero said. "So then... how about we get to my castle I would like to hear a little bit about your race!" Twilight said. Fluttershy stared at Zero as she watched his tail go back and forth as she reached for it. "Sounds like a plan but I'll tell you as much as I can tell you without breaking the rules," Zero said. "What rules?" Applejack questioned. "Well the many rules we Protogens and Synths are to follow by the creators," Zero said. "Synths? What are they?" Spike asked. "Kinda like our cousins see our creators had-" *Grab* Zero froze as his tail was grabbed by Fluttershy as she got down on her knees as she brushed it with her hand as the entire group and the crowd looked in shock. Zero: 0/////0 "Soooo soft," Fluttershy said as she buried her head into his tail. Heat began to build up in Zero's visor before causing him to fall over face down on the ground his tail free from Fluttershy's grasp and his visor blinking read and the word 'overheat' flashing in and out. The group: "SWEET CELESTIA!" "What happened?" Zero got up rubbed the back of his head. The main six turned to see Zero back online as they saw him get up from the couch within the castle of friendship and Fluttershy was the first one to rush over to him with a look of worry on her face. "I'm so sorry please don't hate me your tail was so soft looking I couldn't help myself," Fluttershy said as Zero got up. "It's fine... just don't do that again," Zero stated as she smiled. "Again I'm sorry," "Again it's fine really," Zero said as Fluttershy moved out of the way as he spoke. "Where am I?" He asked. "Were in my castle," Twilight said. "Now then you were talking about these synths right?" Zero looked at her before sighing. "Alright couldn't have given me five minutes to catch my breath," Zero said. "Better sit down best I tell you everything," "OHHHHH let me get the big notebook I got a feeling I'm going to need it," Twilight said as Zero was about to say something. "It can't be that-" *THUD* "-That big... are you sure that's not a textbook?" Zero asked seeing the large five-ringed notebook. "Nope!" "Alright then how about I start with the history of my people's makers-" "Should I get some snakes for this?" Rainbow asked as everyone turned to her. "What? If this is going to be long might as well get some snacks," Applejack just pulled her from the air and onto a set. "You can listen like the rest of us alright partner shoot," Zero nodded. Alright so long LONG before I was created or even thought about my makers began life on their homeworld its name lost with the name of the creator's species name. "How is that possible?" Can I talk? "Sorry," Right... so "the Creators" as they are now know started life on their homeworld which was rich in resources and was plentiful with life but they were the only sentient race of the world. Unlike most races and species the Creators never had a dark age because of the lack of religion there so- "Your Creator didn't believe in anything?" ... ... ... "Sorry," *Smack* "Ow What was that for Applejack," *SHHH!* Our creators didn't believe in anything but they never saw themselves as gods just very intelligent and within nearly 40,000 years they began to spread out to other worlds in the system slowly. Within nearly 5,000 years later they had a colony on each world and their moons, the system was rich with raw metal and life though sadly this wasn't to last for the system's star could only last for another 100,000 years my makers knew this and began to rush to build themselves and scout out any local solar systems suitable for them. After nearly 80,000 years they had created a fleet of ships to leave their home system the world's harvested completely dry and samples of the life on each world preserved. So after parting ways with their home system the Creators sent out for a new home through the space travel they had at the time wasn't as fast from what they have today. It would take nearly 500 years for them to arrive and so my people went to cryo sleep to wait it out... But something happened. Something always happened. They were awakened by the backlash of their home system star going nova almost 20,000 years than expected and they were not prepared for that! The blast destroyed many of the ships even light-years away from the system but those who got out of the blast were hit with some much solar radiation that it passed through the shielding of the ship and hit my makers. The high amounts of radiation killed off many of my makers and destroyed many of the ship's systems leaving most lifeless deathtraps with life support failing. Those who did survive had high levels of radiation poisoning that the medical equipment couldn't save them so they were all doom to die. Quickly trying to find a way to survive from this my creators came up with plans to keep them alive but only one would work with the resources and what they had on hand. Nearly 87% were left so they developed a technology that would preserve them by removing their very minds from their dying bodies and into the computers of the ships they had left. Many of the personalities and minds merged into the 100, the creators my people know of today, with them now safe they decide to merge all the ships that they had left into one giant ship that would one day be the first 'Creator-class starship'. "Oh, you must tell me of the types of starships you have!" One minute twilight we have pretty big ships. This collection was known as 'the mass' not yet what I would soon know it to be but it was just a massive collection of ships that made it to the system that they were heading to. Though they no longer need to go out into these worlds the 100 just did nothing but think for the next 5 short years before coming together and realizing that they could create a race of beings to enjoy these new worlds and the many after them. So they begin to get to work the Creators thought about their mistakes and thought what would be a proper race that could explore the void of space safety. They agreed that the race that would explore the stars must be part mechanical for- "YOUR A CYBORG!" ... No, I'm a protogen. "But you said your creators said-" Yes, I know what I'm said. "Wait... your part machine?" Nearly 70%. "How... What... That's... But..." As I was saying to keep the race for the future they begin to create beings who were both organic and mechanical. Technology and biology as one. Using undamaged DNA samples of the races of their world and these new worlds they used DNA of a Canine race as a template and used genetic altering technology to create what would be the prototypes and the cousin to the protogen and the synths known as the Primagens. After many of the first gene Primagens they were used to explore these new worlds and begin to rebuild what the Creators lost. For nearly half a million years the Primagens and our creators worked through the galaxy exploring new worlds and creating what would be the government known as the Cyber-United. "OHHHHHH what kinda government was the Cyber-United like?" Hmmm good question... The 100 were the leaders of us all but we did have a say in the many choices for us they never looked down on us. I guess we were a republic... That is the best way I tell you we were a unique system that you don't have here. "Interesting!" Well, a few of the creators thought that they should create another race that would be just as effective as the Primagens so they began to work on the faithful gen one Protogens! Our Primagen cousin even helped with our creation and like them, we too had these *taps on visor* see our creators had visors to keep themselves from getting infected by any harmful virus due to their immune system being extremely damaged. Our creators had these permanently grafted onto the Primagens at birth and from then on it kinda became a part of our culture though, unlike the Primagens, Protogens can remove their visors without a problem. "Why don't you?" Simple our faces are kinda like something we would show to those we care about deeply and those we trust, kinda like a lover of sorts. As we were finally being completed something happened to the Primagens sadly... see they were going into the mark III stages while we were still in the mark I and there was a system glitch that made them extremely violent, aggressive, and unstable that they began to kill one another or harm themselves. Though our creators tried their best to save their first creations it was too late the entire Primagen line had been corrupted with this system glitch and it was to happen to all of them. Those who still had a sense of sanity boarded three Ark class ships and they knew that they were going to go mad and go out but not without a bang! The primagens removed all safety protocols on the hyper-light system and because of this fired so fast through the void of space that whenever we explore that side of space we are still finding fragments of the three Arks that were most likely the fastest machine-made device ever known to our race. As we mourned the loss of the Primagens we began to expand the CU and began to encounter other races- "WAIT THERE IS MORE!" What did you think we were the only ones out there? "Kinda," Well no there were so many of them but they were all smaller than the CU and usually, these races would fight among themselves but with the CU they stopped fighting and begin to help one another. The CU allowed them to keep being themselves but not fight one another though not many were happy about this and fought the CU itself but were quickly defeated with our superior technology. Though I don't really know much of what the CU does to the races that we have under our protection besides they make sure they follow some basic rules that Protogens and Synths have to follow. "Like what?" The races under our protection have a shorter list but we have a much longer list, over 2,000+ and I know all by heart. "What now?" I'm 70% machine do the math... Well, remember when I said I was kinda breaking a rule? "Yeah," Rule 32 is basically I'm not allowed to contact a race that is less advance unless something is dire... "Like you crashing here without contact with the Cyber-united?" Correct and along with that rule 33 is basically an add-on to rule 32. "That being? I am not allowed to share any information on the advancements of the CU. "WHAT!?" Twilight shouted. "I cannot tell you of the sciences the CU knows nor can I help you advance in any form of science or anything see if I were it would ruin your way of life and culture as you know it," Zero said as Twilight shook her head. "No way would you have all that technology and not share it with us?" "Because for one: I don't have any and two: it's against the rules! If I break this rule the lightest punishment I would receive is 50 years of cryo!" Zero said. "I would be breaking the law!" "Not here!" "Still I cannot tell you!" "But think of the lives you can save!" "I'm sorry I can't!" "Sugar cube come on he's just following the rules of his people," Applejack said. "Yeah he's sounds as loyal as me but I'm about 15% cooler at it," Rainbow boosted. "It doesn't matter! He has technology so advance we could be put in a golden age of peace," "Or destroy yourselves," Zero said coldly. "What?" The group turned to him. "Someone had the same thought as you twilight see some of the those under the CU's protection decided it would benefit a race still in a dark age and some of them came down with the technology thinking it would help them. Little did they know that this race wouldn't just kill them for it but take it and weaponize the medical technology into a device that turned the lush green world into radiation filled rock with radiation storms and ruins of the race that once lived there," The group looked at him. "Do you want that to happen to your world?" "No... but we wouldn't do that we promise!" Twilight said. "Sure you promise but what about the many other races that are on this world? What if one of them has the same idea as that planet? What if they decide to repeat history?" "We'll stop them!" "How? They would have destroyed the planet before then," Zero said. "I'm bound by the law... I'm sorry," "YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" Zero nodded. "I have to..." Zero got up. "I'm sorry but I must go," Zero then began to leave as Twilight was about to do something but spike stopped her. "Let him go Twilight," She was about to snap at him but the rest of her friends stepped in stopping her. Twilight could only watch as Zero left the castle heading back for his pod. Part 3View OnlineProtogen in EquisPart 3(Four days later) (Zero's camp) It's been a day after transforming his escape pod into a camp for the Protogen to figure out these 'rifts' that Twilight told him about and what could have caused one to open so large it created a tear into the fabric of space-time for him to be spat out here. Luckily the 'human' lifespan of being a Protogen along with his super computer-like brain that could match up with a Primarch from Warhammer 40,000 helped with him thinking of theories like how it happened. Did the Reach's power core go off at the same time one of these rifts happen? No, that can be it these rifts aren't random but they are just a small flux of energy going out for a moment, and lucky he used the system he built from the escape pod to help him out when need. Tapping his metal-covered fingers on the table he hummed a familiar tune to himself from his past days of being a human. Are made of these... He looked at the machine and from what he could tell the fluxes were getting bigger and bigger before dropping back to zero... the number not him. It was strange and from his readings, he could project the next large flux that could happen but with the limited system, he could only see within 30 basic days... In a nutshell, 30 Earth/Equis days both having the same amount of hours was slightly strange but then again this was a kid show. Looking at potential predicted fluxes that were going to happen in the next month, for the first two weeks nothing but it would jump on week three on tuesday at 12:12 pm when it would reach a high flux. He didn't know how big the flux that brought him (it was that at all) was, but none the less if another Protogen/Synth could arrive in this would during that open window then he need to prep. He had limit supplies and the Printer system (think star trek) was going to need raw resources and knowing where he was and knowing that Twilight would try something known as her stunt from the MLP movie. Well yeah, he needs to be extra careful best create a mark I portable force field generator, it would keep her out along with no way of teleportation in but digging in might be a problem. Best set up some form of defense for that... but what? Something non-lethal but a sonic drive could bury them alive which could kill them but what? Sure she isn't a diamond dog but there are those diamond dogs out there and can't risk them taking the gear if by accident or if Twilight would hire them... not like she would. Would she? Maybe. Who knows. But either way, it won't happen and if need be he would use the sonic drive system if push comes to shove. "Now then... What should I-" He stopped upon hearing a stick snap as he turned into the forest from under the tent cover above his camp. It was night and the small lights were bright but they could only go so far into the dark forest, Zero looked forward before turning his visor to thermal and upon doing so he saw three young beings in the forest. Relaxing and moving his hand from his sidearm he sighed. "Come on out you three I can see you," Zero said as the three slowly moving targets stopped dead in their tracks this cause them to bump into each other before falling out of the trees followed by a series of 'OW!' Zero: -_- "How did you see us?" The familiar sister of Rarity asked. "I'm different," Zero said with one of his hands out before crossing it back. "Now why you three here?" "We heard about you in town! The robot alien that came from the sky!" Applebloom said as Zero held his visor. "Again that word... I understand I'm a stranger to this world but that word is highly offensive to most races," This caused the three to freeze up. "W-w-w-what? What did we saying," "The A word..." Zero threw out. "What? Alien?" Rainbow dash's 'sister' asked. "God maker... YES! That word the only word that she said that started with an A!" Zero said pointing it out. "Sorry mister we didn't know it was offensive," Applebloom said as Zero rubbed his visor. "It's fine what do you girls want?" "We wanted to see the ali-" Before the young daredevil could finish the two placed their hands on her mouth. Zero just gave the girls aboard a look as the orange-coated filly give a light chuckle as her friends moved from her. "Heheh sorry," Scootaloo said as Zero just gave an annoyed look on his visor. "Well you saw me please go back home before your families find out you're gone and blame the 'off worlder'," Zero said as the girls spoke. "But-" "No buts go on! Go! Scram! Hit the road Jack! Los Los!" Zero said as he gently pushed the girls back into the forest. "But we don't know how to get back it's so dark!" "Do you have a flashlight then?" The Protogen asked. "Yes but-" "Go forward until you hit the path the turn left and you'll make it back to Ponyville please leave me alone I have work to do," Zero said as the girls hung theirs heads leaving Zero to sigh as he hated to do that but knowing how xenophobic the MLP-verse was it was better safe than sorry. Walking back to his system he plugged back in and began to get back to work trying to locate any nearby metal veins he could use to harvest for the shield system and maybe the sonic drives but he was also going to need to repair his jet system while he was at it. Man, it was going to be a long ass night... Author's Note Sorry for the short chapter lads but I wanted to get this out since 'Curse or Gift' got its chapter 3 out with 72 ours of its release... So yeah... Next time... What will happen before the flux?
