The Soundblaster files

After we got back to the village, everyone froze and watched us pass through, some were muttering to each other as we passed by, others did spit-takes or dumped their drinks.

Jonathan huffed at the sight. “Seems we won't be getting the hero’s welcome.” He said.

“Who wants to be a hero?” I said. “Look at them all, some of them think something’s wrong with their booze, others think they’ve had too much, and some don’t even believe what they’re seeing! It’s hilarious!” I chuckled.

After a few minutes we made it to the town square and we were about to head to the guild… but the noble from before showed up. “Oh not this guy again.” I groaned as I saw him coming this way with a bunch of guards decked up in armor.

“Don't worry, I have a plan.” Jonathan whispered.

“Don’t bother, I can handle him myself.” I told him as the noble froze when he saw something behind me. I followed his gaze and noticed he was afraid of Tiamat, whom I had on a leash. After a few minutes he got up the nerve to approach me.

“Now what do you want?” I asked the noble.

“There you are you bastard, you're under arrest.” He said.

“Under what charge?!” I yelled at him.

“2 charges of assault on nobles and theft.” He said.

I looked over to the guards and saw a few of them were rolling their eyes. ‘Ok this guy is full of shit, these guys don’t even seem to care what I did to him’

“Ok, you are full of shit. And I’m leaving before Tiamat here tries to eat you.” I said then gave a gentle tug on the leash as we all headed to the guild hall. I could hear the noble complaining and whining to his guards as we left.

“Aaaww and I had a whole thing thought in my head too, too bad, maybe another time.” Jonathan mumbled.

“We’ll see him again, he’s like a cockroach, he’ll probably come to the guild hall and throw a fit.” I said as we went inside.

As soon as they saw me with Tiamat on a leash the whole room went silent. You could even hear the drop of a needle with how quiet it was. All those who had tankards in their hands froze not moving an inch, and others just stared in disbelief.

I walked over to the counter and pulled out the poster and gave it to the receptionist. “Quest completed, pay up.” I told her.

“Umm the reward is so large it might take a bit, so you wouldn't mind waiting?” She asked shakily as she looked at Tiamat.

“Fine. I can wait.” I said then went over to the bar and took a seat and ordered a mug of mead.

BUt after a while someone finally asked. “So how did you catch Tiamat?”

“Trade secret.” I said then drank from my mug.

“Ill get the reward once there done why don't you get your last girl.” Jonathan said.

“Well first I have to at least announce what my next adventure is going to be.” I told him.

“Ok.” He said, as he pulled out a cigarette, then lit it.

I took a joint from my chest compartment and lit it and took a big hit from it. I exhaled and took my empty mug and began banging it against my armor to get everyone’s attention. “Ok! Attention everyone!” I shouted, making everyone stop and look at me.

“For my next impossibly stupid mission that is also a death wish……. I plan to enter……THE ABYSS!” I told them, shouting the last bit for emphasis. “Any questions?” I asked.

“You're nuts.” One of them said,

“Yes, I’m completely bonkers, anyone else wanna state the obvious?” I asked.

“Can't argue with that.” Said Jonathan.

“I’m going to head to Orth tomorrow. And I’ll spend a day there gathering supplies, and the next day I will enter the abyss.” I said taking a puff of my joint.

We then left the guild and returned to the inn so we could rest for the rest of the day. I was laying on my bed, my armor sitting in the corner of the room. On my left was my kobold and on my right was Tiamat. “Alright, let’s get to sleep now. It’s been a long day.” I began. “Besides, it’s going to be a long day tomorrow.” I told them.

“Ok.” They both said.

“I’m going to have you stay with Johnathan while I’m down there.” I said. “I can’t have either one of you getting hurt down there.” I told them.

“Alright, just come back safe.” Said the kobold.

“I promise. Now let’s get to sleep.” I said as I pulled the blankets on top of us.

—The Next Morning—

When I awoke, I was squished between two large reptiles, my kobold was a little too close and Tiamat was so close to me she was practically my conjoined twin. I managed to wiggle myself free so I could do my morning routine, before getting ready to head to Orth.

I grabbed my armor and put it on and double checked everything. ‘Everything seems to be in order! Time to go!’ I left the room and made my way down the stairs and through the lobby. As soon as I was outside I looked towards the abyss off in the distance.

“Time to get moving.” I said as I began making my way to the docks to get on a boat.

Once I was at the docks I payed my fare and stepped in, however, before I could get my other foot in, the noble was coming towards me again. And this time he was wearing armor and he had a cape. “Ugh, this is going to be great.” I groaned under my breath.

“Sir, I swear if you keep following me, I’m going to kill you!” I yelled at him as he came closer.

“You're not getting away this time.” He said.

I rolled my eyes before saying, “Rumble Eject!”
Then Rumble popped out of my chest and landed between me and the noble. “Rumble, Activate Piledrivers!” I told him.

Rumble activated his piledrivers and attacked the noble. He pulled out his sword, and went straight for Rumble’s left optic. However that never happened, since the noble took a piledriver to the head, blood, brain, and parts of his head splattering everywhere. After that rumble returned back into my chest.

I went over to the body and took his cape as a trophy and put it on. I looted his body and put what I found into my chest compartment. I got into the boat and told the boat’s driver to say nothing and I gave him some gold to keep him quiet.

He accepted the gold, and we got moving before a ruckus could be made over that bastard's death. It didn’t take long to arrive in Orth. I made my way to an inn and paid for two nights.

—The Next Day—

After a good night’s rest and a good breakfast I walked around the town of Orth to gather supplies, I decided to take a break and rest on a patch of grass. I could hear a few kids playing nearby. I wasn’t paying much attention and after A while I dozed off.

I woke up with a start when something heavy landed on me. I looked at what landed on me and saw it was Reg. “Sorry sir.” He told me.

I scanned his body and put his schematics to my HUD. Then after a few seconds I responded to him. “It’s alright kid, it was my own fault for laying outside on the ground.” I said as I got up.

After waving goodbye to him I made my way back to the inn and went to my room. Luckily I had the great idea to ask for a large room.

—Later that night—

I went outside during the night and went down into the first layer of the abyss.

After reaching a good spot, I transformed to robot mode and looked at my arms. Then I looked at a tree on the side of a cliff. ‘Time to put these new upgrades to good use!’ I lifted my arm and aimed at the tree. In less than a second, my arm shot off and I opened my hand and gripped the tree.

I looked at the cable keeping my arm together, and it looked to be pretty strong. I looked at the tree then began grappling towards it. Then I used my other arm and shot it at the side of the cliff and swung towards it as I let go of the tree and brought my forearm back. Before I reached the cliff where I was gripping however, the rock crumbled and I began falling as my arm came back to where it belonged. I fell for a while before jets in my back and in my legs roared to life and My fall began to slow before I stopped and began to hover.

‘Hmm, this is new. I wonder what else I can do?’ I landed on the ground and thought It might be a good time for music. Then instead of panels opening up on my shoulders, my wheels raised up a bit and began emitting sound. ‘Cooool!!!’

Then I thought about Rumble’s piledrivers, and my forearms turned into large piledrivers like his. “Soundblaster, activate piledrivers!” I said to myself. ‘These will definitely come in handy later!’
I deactivated the piledrivers and looked up. ‘I should probably get back and get some rest.’

I used my back and leg rockets to bring me back to Orth and I transformed back to human form. Unfortunately this was a bad idea and my armor was just normal armor. I fell into the road and landed like I fucked up a belly flop. I got up, dusted myself off and headed back to the inn.

—The Following Morning—

After finally getting ready to go, I made my way to the gondola and jumped onto the railing. A few people saw what I was doing and tried to get me to come down, instead I ignored their protests and I jumped.

I was in a controlled freefall. I continued to fall through the abyss until I reached the 2nd level. From there I continued on to the Great fault and took out a few flying creatures on my way down to the goblets of giants. It was then I slowed my fall and used a few of the goblets to break my fall.

I decided to rest on a cliff and enjoy the view. That was until Some kind of monster with quills showed up nearby.

Its hissed before it charged me. I transformed to robot mode and it froze in its tracks. I decided to use my dalek gun and aimed my left forearm at it, then my arm opened up and the Dalek gun came out. “EX-TER-MIN-ATE!” I exclaimed before I shot a beam at the monster and it fell down, dead. I shot it again to make sure then took its quills and stowed them away in my chest.

I transformed back to human form and proceeded to skin the beast with a blade. I took the meat and whatever else was there and began cooking it over a fire I had made. The meat was chewy and stringy, making it a little hard to eat, and it lacked flavor, but it was edible. After eating my fill I collected the bones and put them in a sack I had made from the hide.

After that I decided to rest for the night. I took off my helmet and used my cape as a blanket. Then in the middle of the night I was awakened by poking, I opened my eye to see a small pudgy strange female creature, she wore baggy pants, and her body was covered in fur which was brown except for her chest and belly which were white, on her head were rabbits ears, her fingers where short and stubby and her hair was short and white.

“Ummm, hi?” I said, unsure of what else to say.

“What are you?” She asked.

“Apparently hallucinating from eating that weird tasting meat.” I said.

“You're not hallucinating.” She told me.

“That’s what a hallucination would say!” I said pointing at her.

“Your dumb.” She said.

“Nope! I’m crazy. I came down here by a controlled freefall! No parachute either!” I said laughing a bit.

“Why are you here?” She asked me.

“I could ask you the same thing.” I said, she looked away and huffed.

“Oh come on. You wake me up to talk and now you don’t wanna talk?” I questioned.

“I was seeing if you were alive or not.” She said.

“Why didn’t you check my…. Oh wait, no pulse.” I said as I went to check my pulse, only to remember I didn’t have one.

“If you don't have a pulse how are you alive?” She asked

This got me to smile. “That’s complicated.” I told her.

“How complicated?” She asked.

“Complicated to the point it makes your head hurt.” I said.

“Really?” She asked with a hint of disbelief.

“Ok, you asked for it.” I told her.

—4 Hours Later—

After I had finished explaining my life’s story I looked over to her and saw her in a fetal position and shivering. “Wow.” Was all she could muster

“So what’s your story?” I asked.

She then told me how she was experimented on by the doctor Bondrewd in order to find ways to negate the curse of the abyss.

“That asshole! If I met him I’d beat the shit out of him!” I said as I cracked my knuckles.

“So why did you really come down here?” She asked.

“Not sure yet, I’m mostly trying to find out if there actually is some advanced technology down here. I want to unravel the mysteries of the abyss!” I said.

“Well I haven't haven't found anything like that around here.” she said.

“Well, I’m sure I’ll find something here. I’m Rob.” I told her as I offered my hand.

“I'm Nanachi.” She told me, shaking my hand.

“Nice to meet you.” I said.

“So where do you want to go now?” She asked

“Well, since you got me riled up, I’m going to go kick Bondrewd’s ass!” I said as I got up.

“Don't bother.” She told me.

“Why not?” I asked.

“I don't want to see him again.” She told me.

“How about we get somewhere less exposed?” I asked after a monster tried to attack but I saw it coming and shot it in the head with a shotgun, and it flopped to the ground.

“Agreed.” She said as she got up.

After a small trek, we made it to Nanachi’s house. I took off my armor and left it by the entrance. I had to hunch over since the place was so small.

“Make yourself at home.” She said.

I sat down and crossed my legs. “So… you live here alone?” I asked.

“No.” She told me.

“Really? Who do you live with?” I asked.

“My friend's name is Mitty.” She said.

“Is she like you?” I asked.

She looked down as tears swelled in her eyes. “What’s wrong?” I asked.

“After she was cursed by the Abyss she became a blob of flesh.” She said as tears fell to the floor.

“Hmmm…. Well if it’s her body that’s the problem, I might be able to reverse it if I knew how she looked before her….. curse? I don’t think it should be called a curse, maybe affliction… nah that sounds like something’s wrong with her… although that’s the best word that fits.” I explained.

“I think I have a picture.” She said as she started rummaging through her belongings

She came back to me with a drawing of her friend.her hair was reddish in color, long, and messy, sticking out at random angles. Some of it seemed to be tied up into a messy ponytail on the back of her head. She wore a tied top and skirt. She also appeared to be slightly more buxom than the children her age.

I looked at it closely and stroked my chin as I thought of ways to fix what’s been done. “Hmm, I’ll need to see how she looks now, it’ll tell me how much work I have to do.” I said.

“I'll take you to her.” She said before taking my hand and pulling me to another room, and once inside I saw the state she was in. She was covered in light pinkish fur. On the ends of what is left of her arms were long sharp claws. She has two catlike ears protruding at odd angles from her head. Her mouth splits upwards and is left hanging open at all times. Both her eyes bulged outwards.

“Yeesh! I’ve got my work cut out for me! Buuuut….. it won’t be impossible to fix... whatever all this is.” I said, gesturing to the lump of flesh that was mitty.

“Thank you thank you thank you.” She said while hugging me.

“Unfortunately…. I can’t fix her just yet. I don’t have the necessary tools or equipment. All that is back home…. in my lab. Other than that I should be able to fix her. And I think I might be able to fix you.” I said to her,

“Really?” She asked.

“But it has to be your choice, although I’m pretty sure you’d be better off the way you are now, you’re soo cute!” I said messing up her hair.

“Well I don't really mind how I look now.” She said.

“Although. I’m going to have to mature you a bit. And I can do that with…..” I began before rummaging through my things. “This!” I said as I took out the Time Infinity Stone.

“What's that?” She asked.

“Its an infinity stone. This particular one can manipulate time, I have six in all.” I said as I grabbed my right gauntlet and put the stone into it and put it on. I felt a small surge of energy when I did and it subsided after a few seconds. “Ok. Are you ready?” I asked.

“Yes.” She said nervously.

“But first, we need some food!” I said as I grabbed some meat from the beast I killed with the shotgun earlier, a bit of spices, and some grilling later, I made us some nice dinner.

I gave her most of the meat on her plate and made a plate for myself and a cup full of its blood. “Go ahead, try it.” I said as I took a sip of the blood and a bite of the meat.

“It's good.” She said.

“I’m glad, be sure to have as much as you want.” I said then began eating the food on my plate. She ate everything on her plate, and now she was ready.

“Ok, now that you have a full belly, it’s time to use the stone.” I said. I waved my hand over her and after a few seconds she began maturing. She grew larger breasts, and her hips and ass grew out nicely.

“I do but could you take the lead?” She asked.

“Yup, I’m going to bring the both of you back with me, but first, I’m going to take care of bondrewd.” I said as I finished stretching and went over to my armor. I put it all on and got ready. I grabbed their stuff and opened my chest compartment and stuffed it all in.

“What was that?!” She asked

“Not sure, I think it’s some pocket dimensional storage or something, anyway now that everything’s packed up, it’s time to go!” I told her as I picked her and Mitty up and began walking out of the tunnel. Once I had enough space, I transformed to robot mode and looked around. “Buzzsaw, Ravage, Ratbat, Ejeeeect!” I said, then the minicons I called sprung from my chest and transformed. “Scout ahead and perform reconnaissance, do not be spotted, COMMENCE OPERATION: OBSERVATION!” I ordered.

Then I opened my chest again and put Nanachi in the driver’s seat, and Mitty in the passenger seat. I closed up my chest after they were buckled up and began walking.

“So who are your friends?” Nanachi asked.

“They are my minicons, they help me with reconnaissance, fights, and a few other things.” I told her.

“Oh cool.” She said.

I activated my jets and began flying/hovering down into the abyss and I made it all the way to the fifth layer: The Sea Of Corpses.

And we’ve all arrived at the rotating city that acted as the entrance to the sixth layer. Nanachi looked at the entrance with dread. I opened my chest and brought my hand up to help her out. “I’m assuming this is the correct location?” I asked.

“Yes.” She said.

I shut off my jets and began walking towards the city. “Tell me about Bondrewd.” I asked.

“He values knowledge above all else, and he does not care what or who he has to use to get it.” She said.

“Hmm. That is interesting, in a way…. I am very much like him. However I don’t think like he does. Given from what you told me, it seems his morals seem to be nonexistent.” I said as I continued walking.

“Its true.” She said.

“Unfortunately, I also will do anything for knowledge, but I don’t plan on committing the atrocities he has done, not unless there were no other options, even then, I’d find a better way.” I said to her as I opened my chest and put her back in her seat.

“Either way it's time for Bondrewd to pay for what he's done.” Nanachi said as she braced herself..

“Agreed.” I said. Then Ravage, Ratbat, And Buzzsaw came back and reported their findings back to me. “Well done, Return.” I said then they went back where they belonged. “Bondrewd knows we’re coming, lets not keep him waiting.” I said as I continued walking.

“Good, I want to burn that laboratory to the ground.” Nanashi said angrily.

“Already taken care of, while my minicons were collecting intel, they had also strategically hidden explosives throughout the city, however I need to draw Bondrewd out first.” I told her.

“That might not be so easy.” She told me. “He will likely send his black bells out to deal with us first.” She said.

“Let’s try a missile strike, that should get him to come out.” I said. I proceeded to aim my shoulder mounted missile launchers and fired at a spot in the city. There was mass panic, but 5 men dressed in coats and covered with pieces of machinery came walking out calmly.

I activated my speakers, causing my wheels to come up and start playing music.

“Some kind of walking machine, interesting.” Said one of the men.

“I’m looking for Bondrewd. Show yourself!” I shouted.

“The sovereign of dawn is busy at the moment.” One of them said.

“BONDREWD WILL COME OUT NOW!!!” I yelled.

They all showed no reaction before one of them walked back inside, and not long after he finally came out, he was a tall man wearing a black long coat and a matching suit. He covered his face with a black helmet which had a gap in the middle where a violet light shines through. He looked up at me before he spoke.

“You asked for me?” He asked calmly.

“EXTERMINATE!!!!” I exclaimed as I shot him with my Dalek gun. “EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE! EXTERMINATE!” I cried as I continued shooting his men.

“Hmm there should be one more he wears white instead of the usual black the others wear.” Nanchi told me as she looked around.

I took out a detonator and pressed the button. The entire complex started to explode leaving nothing but a flaming ruin which lit up the entire layer of the abyss. After everything finished exploding. I scanned Bondrewd’s gauntlets and was gifted with a schematic of his gauntlets showing up on my HUD.

“It's over, it's finally over.” Nanachi said with a sigh of relief.

I looked around then called Johnathan. “Yes, what do you need?” He asked as he picked up.

“I’m going to need a portal out, I’m also wanting to know if I could have a sample of Raven’s DNA, either her hair or blood would be fine.” I said.

“Sure not a problem.” He said, then a portal twice the size of me appeared. Nanachi was surprised by the sudden appearance of the magical portal that showed up out of nowhere.

I walked through and met up with Johnathan. He looked at me for a moment and asked. “New friends of yours?” He asked.

I opened my chest and brought out Nanachi and Mitty, then transformed into my human form. “Yeah, this is Nanachi and Mitty, do you have what I asked for?” I said to him. He took out a glass vile with a cork, inside it were a few pieces of hair.

“Right here.” He said.

I took it and a sample of Gardevoir DNA and put it into a special pokeball I made. After a few seconds I tossed up the pokeball and out came a pokemon.

“Nice.” I said to myself.

“Interesting to say the least.” Jonathan said as he looked her over.

“Come on, let’s all get home.” I said.

“Yes give me a moment to gather everyone.” Jonathan sai before he teleported my kobold, Tiamat, and his tiger here, before he opened a portal back to our universe.
