My Little Pony: Unfinished Business

THREE WEEKS LATER...

Cozy Glow was in her new office, making sure to remake the laws of the village. To make things fair to everyone, the first new law the young filly made was that no one, not even the mayor, is exempt from being banished from the village should any laws be broken. From there, Cozy Glow filled in the rest of the laws, using everyone's intake on what everyone could agree were fair and easy to understand laws. She was currently up to paper work for adding in the final law, law number 10. This would be the law that would bring it all together. This law states that royalty can ask for an audience with the mayor regarding any exiles that broke the rules of Equestria by sneaking into it and doing something there for information on who they are looking for. Right now, this law was more so for simplicities sake, and while not fully into effect yet, was more or less agreed upon by the majority of villagers.

It was at this moment, Veritas Revelare stepped inside Cozy Glow's office.

"Hey Mayor Cozy..." Veritas Revelare said.

"Please Revelare, you've been such a good friend to me, that you can just call me Cozy." Cozy Glow said, smiling.

"Okay. Well, a Princess of Equestria wishes to speak with you." Veritas Revelare said.

"Send her in." Cozy Glow said. Veritas Revelare whistled which was the a-okay signal for the guards to let in the princess only. As Cozy Glow expected, it was Princess Twilight.

"Cozy Glow? Your in charge of this place?" Princess Twilight asked.

"Just celebrating three weeks in charge after the mess I had to clean up around here. Trust me, it was very bad before I took over, Headmare Twilight." Cozy Glow said, teasing a bit at the end.

"I don't even want to know. So, I'm guessing you have no intel on the stallion that freed you from your prison then..." Twilight said.

"Actually...she doesn't. But I do." Veritas Revelare said.

"Revelare?" Cozy Glow asked.

"It's time...I came clean. The whole reason Cozy Glow was freed was because I went to the Creator's Cave." Veritas Revelare said. "It's a cave where one can go to talk to the one known as The Creator. As the name implies, he is the father of all of creation." He added.

"And what does that have to do with Cozy Glow being freed?" Princess Twilight asked.

"Because I specifically begged The Creator to bring me someone who could turn this village into what it was always supposed to be. And the three weeks Cozy Glow's been here, my prayers were answered." Veritas Revelare said. "The Creator never would have freed her if I didn't beg him to do something." He added.

"Revelare..." Cozy Glow felt tears coming on.

"So go ahead...take me away. I'm the one that essentially caused those guards to be attacked. I'm ready to serve my time." Veritas Revelare said.

"...Considering I will need a full report on what happened here, I will hold off on judgement until after I hear everything." Princess Twilight said. Veritas Revelare was put under arrest.

"Revelare...your responsible?" Cozy Glow asked.

"I just...wanted to do something right for a change..." Veritas Revelare said. "My entire life...I've always accidently done the wrong thing which only continued making things worse around me. But for once in my life, I wanted to do something right." He added. Cozy Glow teared up.

"You...you better come back to me, you hear me Revelare? Your the first actual friend I've ever had. So you better come back to me, you got that?" Cozy Glow asked. Veritas Revelare smiled.

"Even if I have to do so as a ghost, I will come back to you..." Veritas Revelare said. He was taken away. Afterwards, for the first time, Cozy Glow let real tears fall from her cheeks. But she couldn't let this keep her from her duties.

Revelare...thank you. I will make this village the way you always wanted to be. The way everyone wanted it to be. Cozy Glow thought to herself. And that's a promise. Because you were quite the unusual friend. And I loved you because of it. She continued to think.

"...I see." Princess Twilight said. "So that is the full detail of everything." She added.

"What do you think, Twilight? What should happen to him?" Prince Flash Sentry said.

"Before you pass down your judgement, I want you to know that I did everything for the sake of my father who was killed by the old mayor. That's the whole reason that town was formed in the first place." Veritas Revelare said. "But no matter what punishment you hand out to me, I will accept it without question. Because everything I did, I did it for a good reason." He added.

"Very well then." Princess Twilight said. "Then I; Princess Twilight Sparkle, herby place you under community service. For the entire deration that Cozy Glow is a resident of Paradise, you are to keep an eye on her, and let me know if she ever has plans to take over Equestria." She added. "That is all, you are dismissed." Princess Twilight said. Veritas Revelare couldn't believe it...his punishment, was simply to watch over Cozy Glow.

A couple of days later, Veritas Revelare re-entered Paradise, when suddenly a huge party was thrown out of nowhere.

"SURPRISE! WELCOME HOME VERITAS REVELARE!" Everyone in the village said.

"You...you guys..." Veritas Revelare said. Cozy Glow went up to him.

“Princess Twilight already filled me in. Looks like your stuck with me until we both grow old and die." Cozy Glow said. "...And to be honest, that's more important to me then any plans of taking over Equestria." She said before she suddenly kissed Veritas Revelare on the lips.

The entire town just "d'awwed" at the cute scene in front of them.

For once, Veritas Revelare did something right, in more ways then one it seems.

For his unusual nature, ended up being the thing Cozy Glow needed all along.

And her position as mayor of Paradise may not be what Cozy Glow had desired, but it was the position she deserved to have.
