Magic is a gift and a curse

It as been a day seen that happened with Gilda and I can't stopping thinking about it. Why? was the main thing I was wondering as I don't have much confidence in me to pull a girl in. Is it due to my strength as I am not the looker, well that's what I keep telling myself I am like a 4 at best. I continued to do this for want felt like hours as the sun was now raising in the distance. A single beam of light hit me square in the face making me realize that I have been up early today. This normally never happens as I am a night howl for as long as I could remember. And not feely tired I decided to get my shit along with a pocket knife and head out side. My weapons where put back in the hiding place but the desert eagle will always be under my pillow. The safety is on but I can be too sure about any one around here. They may seem nice but there are the sinners they just do a better job at hiding then the ones back home. As I walked I decided to go see twilight see if she has more question about my people and how I can fight. But my train of thought was cut off by a mint green unicorn sprinting at me with full speed. "Holy Shit!" Was all I managed to get out before my body was hit to the floor by the mint unicorn

"Bon Bon look its a real Human!!" As I lay there the mint unicorn looked down at me with the biggest smile that could rival the jokers. But it disappear when she saw that I was in a small amount of pain. I then stood with the mint unicorn backing away and asking. "Oh I am sorry are you Okay Mr. Human?" I was confused that she called me that but it was cut short with and earth pony showing up. I am glad twilight came to visit the hospital to answer questions I had.

"lyra, it dangerous so get away from it." I was hoping that she would be one of the nice ones but I was wrong. Well I'll have to talk some senec to her.

"Excuse you but I am only dangerous if some one pushes me too far. And I am a him not an it." I used the 'didn't talk if you don't have anything nice to say' voice used by one of my many brothers. The earths pony face looked at me with shock and then embarrassment.

"I am sorry Mr. I was told that you were a mindless animal." I was a little hurt but it wasn't the first time some one threw dirt on me about something that wasn't true. I sighed and replied to calm her down as she was shacking like a leaf.

"Its fine just don't believe everything you hear." She seem to calm down seeing that I was not mad. " Anyway I assume that you are Bon Bon?" Bon Bon seem to be surprised by that and asked the clear question.

"How do you know my name."

"Your friend over there, and hi I am Chaz Cooley, nice to meet you Lyra." Lyra's eyes where like a child's meeting there life long hero. I couldn't help but smile at how she looks at me like that. The reason being is that my family name is not the most liked where I am from. "Well anyways I must b on my way. And if you want to ask question my house is on the out side of town. Just head north." As I ran to Twilights house I could hear Lyra shout back a 'Okay' and 'thank you'. I finally made it to twilights house only to see her and spike leaving it. Maybe to get something from the market or go visit one of their friends. "Hey twilight wait up!" I yell making them stop and turn to see me.

"Hey Chaz what brings you here?" Spike asked as I cached up to them and I give a simple answer.

"Woke up earlier than I usually do and decided to see what happening around town." Twilight seem to be confused on what I meant by getting up early as it was 9:00am.

"Um, Chaz you do know it is 9'o clock now right." She had said that like I was dum or something but I can understand the confusion.

"Well Twilight I am not normally up in the morning. I am in my world terms a night howl." She looked at with fascination but before she could ask anything else. Two colts ran up to us and bumped into me and spike. Both looked at me and backed away from me in fear and before I could say anything they ran in the opposite direction. What really got me was that they were screaming and yelling Trixie!!

"What was that all about?" I was just as confused as spike as he asked. I was going to ask but before I could the two colts unicorns came back with another unicorn mare with them. But before I could say anything the light blue mare fired a magic shot at me. I wasn't expecting it so it hit me square in the face. It felt like being burned by a firework and it hurt like hell. I have taken hits but some just push Too Fucking Far. In a blind rage I couldn't help but let the spirit animal feed on it and give me power. My eyes could only see the black and white and several ponies red but the ones I focused on was the light blue mare.

"Chaz? are you okay?" I could hear Twilight say but the hold on my humanity was slipping and fast. With on worry the cry of the black bear come out of my mouth. And before I could do anything else I could feel something around me and keep me from doing anything I would regret. I look the right of me to twilight using her magic on me and slowly but surely calming me down. But even that the light blue unicorn was talking to the two little shit shits. And what she was saying was just making it harder for me to control my anger and the spirit animal was just loving it. That was when spike started to tell them what I was and just being the voice of reason. I didn't know why but threw the anger I yelled to spike

"Thank you Brother." That seem to catch him off guard and it seem to do the same for the light blue unicorn and the two colts. With them being quiet I was able to calm down and let my spirit animal rest, but I felt like falling down. The spirit animal can be powerful but the human body can't handle that kind of power. What made it worst is the magic around me and in the air. The spirit animal is more restless because of it as I could feel my smell and sight be better that ever. Back on earth that would take at least half the power but now that was nothing. I finally calmed down enough to nod to twilight to let me go but three unicorns where less than happy to to see me free.

"your letting that thing go?!" The three of them yelled while seeming to hind behind Spike. That was when I just about had enough of their shit and replied.

" I am not a thing I am a human, I didn't do shit to any of you. So you have no reason to attack me." That was when the fat one step out and pointed a finger at me.

"But your the beast of the Everfree!" That was when I face planted and sighed.

"And your point is? I hadn't attacked you or anyone. I was just enjoying my day with my friends." That was when he use his brain and realized what him and his friend had did. Then the taller one step out and said something that gave me a migraine.

"But we heard you eat ponies!" My blood was boiling at this point and that was just an insult to not only humans but to my people. I sighed and just calmed down and then looked at them with the disappointed adult look.

"Listen here you two, don't believe everything you hear. This also applies to stories. You both should know better, Understood?" Both then stopped hiding behind the blue unicorn and both said sorry in sink. But that only lasted a little while as they turned and ran. My attention was then on the cyan unicorn with a wizard looking costume. "So you have something to say or are you just going to stand there?" She then chuckled with a look on her face that realized she fucked up.

"The great and Powerful Trixie is sorry to use her magic on you Mr?" I was a little confused on why she talked in the third person but I wasn't about to ask.

"Well with that I am going to home and not coming out for anything." As I walked pasted twilight and spike I could hear Spike talk to Trixie. It was something about how Twilight can beat her in a magic contest or something. Then Trixie said something that made the Bullshit detector in me go off the charts. She claims that she defeated an ursa major and saved a city form it and now she is show off her powers here. Some one show their power off in a small town where the most dangerous forest is. Yeah something about that dose not seem right and it was all of it. I decided to just let it be and let her tell her lies I am sure it will bite her in the ass sooner or later.

I was in my house when I noticed it was night and about 9:00pm. I was planning on staying up and pulling and all nighter to plan videos games. But that was quickly throw out the window as I could hear screaming from the town and I can just sit there and let people get hurt. It was a flaw of mine that my family hoped would get me killed. I rushed out the door desert eagle and tomahawk in one hand each. I ran to the town and ready to fight anything for the shake for the ones in danger. That was when I saw the very thing I hoped never showed it face here, but of course me luck just needs to give me the middle finger. There in the middle of the street was a ursa minor sniffing and looking for something around it. That was when I saw Trixie and the two unicorn colts before. I could only hope that she wasn't talking all that bullshit for nothing, but deep down I knew it was.

I ran full speed. to the group and threw my tomahawk at the ursa minor and that got its attention. Now my plan was crazy and may end up in death. But hey some one had to test the parachute when it was made so we are full of bad ideas. Using the power of the black bear and hoping that it understands me and knows too listen. With it casing me and me running back to the everfree forest it was now or never. with it hot on my ass I could feel it breath on my back, this really was a stupide plan. I turned around and with a mighty roar using my spirit animal of the black bear the ursa minor stopped in its tracks and look to me in fear. Was.. it going to cry? Oh hell yes it is crying I had realized when its eyes began watering. I then placed my hand on it muzzle and then felt it just want to go back to sleep. But it was awoken by... REALY THOSE TWO!!!! ARE YOU FUCKING WITH ME. That when threw my mind and the ursa minor could feel the black bear in side and it didn't wnt it angary. But I just patted it on the head and decided to help it back in the forest.

"Stay here I will be back okay." I could talk to the animals like Fluttershy but I knew they could understand me. With that the ursa minor nodded not wanting to know my full anger. I rushed to the town as I had ran to the town to the begin of the everfree forest. As I final made it into the town I could see the six and other ponies starting to yell at Trixie. Lucky enough I was able to stop everyone from doing something they might regret.

"Chaz? Dude why are you protecting her!?" Rainbow dash said to me as I stopped Trixie from running away. " She brought that uras major here because of her stories." I could understand her logic there as it was not the stories but nether the ponies that believed in those stories. I took a while but I was able to remember their names and how really weird some of the names around here.

"SNIPS AND SNAILS GET OVER HERE RIGHT NOW!!" I yelled with the anger of an older sibling that found out you fuck up. Both of the colts then walked to me both of their heads hung low as they knew what they did.

"Chaz what in tarnation are you doing? There just colts." Applejack asked me as I was going to talk t them.

"They know what they did. And I had hoped that when I said 'don't believe everything you hear' you would both learn from it." Both colts seem to take my words to the heart and then looked at me and both said.

"sorry mr." I was still alittle mad but I could teach them something that I learned from a game.

"Don't be sorry." The ponies around me where confused and so where the two colts. "Be better." Both the colts and the ponies around me where shocked to hear something like that. Most likely because it came form me. Both snips and snail ran off to go home most likely and then that was when I noticed that Trixie was standing over a destroyed wagon. I put two and two together and then realized that may have been her home. I walk up to her and ask that easy to answer question. "Hey are you alright?" She turned to face me with tiers in her eyes but she wasn't sad she was angry. I then asked something that may come off as well creepy. "Would you like o stay with me?" She looked on in stunned silence looking at me and mostly wonder why did I do that.

"You offer the great and powerful Trixie a home?" I hear her say with tears in her eyes. I nod my head yes and hand her a key to the house. I showed her where to go and what house is mine. After that I headed back to the everfree forest where the young cub waited for me. I patted his head as a sign for him to fallow me and hoping I could get him back to where he came from.

I couldn't tell how long I been walking but we seem to get closer to where the ursa minor wanted to sleep. Finally after several hours or what felt like hours the ursa then went to sleep. But not before I had to give it a hug and a sang him a song to make him sleep. Normally I wouldn't do this for anyone except my family but I felt like I need to so with one song and a hug form me the ursa finally went to sleep. I was happy to help an animal as my people lived with it for so long but there was a problem I was deep in the everfree forest. I took a deep breathe and walked back to the shadows and using my spirit animals eyes I could barley see my tracks. Until that was I could smell the familiar stench of death, I am almost lost my dinner as it hit me by surprise. Of course there would be something here but what is it, a timber wolf pack or a manticore. That was when some one.. no something giggled like a mad man and it was in my brothers voice.

I then looked around as there was only one monster that can do that. But here why is it here? Suddenly I was hit by a burning pain straight to my back I could feel my skin burn but my clothes where fine. Magic was the calibrate but what could use magic here. It cant be a unicorn why would any body go out here at night. There was on doubt about it now what I was facing here was a Skinwalker. But why here and now I been here for months and now it shows up something is not right.

"So the winds of fait has finally brought you here..." I heard a scratchy voice say in front of me but I could see only the shadows and the grows of the full moon. I tried to see the skinwalker but no matter what even with the power of my spirit animal I couldn't see it. After turning hearing several noises around me it finally spoke once again. "When my kin said he would bring something good to eat, I never knew he would bring my favorite meal~" i didn't understand what he meant by that, did he mean people in general or my people.

"Show yourself! I am not afraid of you Monster!!" As soon as I said that the insects around me stopped and there was a dead silence. All around me I could hear nothing but my own heart beat getting faster. Suddenly faster than I could react three claws sliced my chest and drawing blood. As soon as that happened it gripped my throat and raised me to its ugly animal like face. I could smell the stench of death on its breath and its green eyes looked at mine and I could see that they have seen death itself. But I would not let me die so easy and with one quick strike I hit him in the face with my tomahawk. But I know that will not do shit to him as the only thing that could kill a skinwalker is a special kind of ash. Ash that is only be made by sage and a magic man of the clan.

That is what a skin walker is a human leaning both good and evil magic. But became corrupt and deciding that they are the ones who can do what they want want. They would let the evil take control and for it they have to eat human flesh. The human part of them is long gone and it is the most dangerous thing in this forest. My tomahawk held close to me and the smell of blood on the head of the tomahawk. Running in any direction I just hope I live threw this.
