Chapter six

“Come on Blue! It’s time to go see Princess Luna.” She pounded on blues door

“No, go away. leave me alone!” I said resentfully.

“Blue! Do I need to kick the door in and drag you to the castle?”

“....’

“I hope you’re clear of the door” Meteor said, pivoting on her hooves. Before she could buck the door it opened.

“Come on Blue, It’s time you faced her.” Meteor said, turning to face him.

“But what if she” Meteor cut in. “No, no buts!” I continued anyway “ doesn't like me, what if i'm no good what if.......”

“Well, if that happens.......” Meteor half whispered the last words. “ Doesn’t matter, I’m sure there are plenty of mares that would have you as their special somepony.” She looked down, hiding her face.

“Darnit Meteor what would I do without you.“ I said giving her a hug. Meteor jumped a little. “I don’t know, never confront the person you feel most for?”
“what was that?”
“Nothing...” Meteor then whispered something, just under Blue’s hearing. “We should go now.”
“Right, you're right lets get going.” The two began the long flight toward the castle of Canterlot.

When the duo landed they were immediately greeted by the castle guards. Most of them knowing Blue Moon and his apprentice Meteor Shower.”Hey um Meteor how did you get this meeting with the princess anyway?”Blue asked, wondering. “Oh! I asked Mi-, “ Meteor noticed a few guards around. “Princess Celestia if we could set it up.” She started walking toward the main hallway. “Really you just asked and she set it up, just like that.”

Yeah, why not? She probably would have done it easier if you asked.” Meteor was spacy, admiring the castle yet again. I started getting nervous so he started prepping himself ”ok just don't get nervous. You can do this, you CAN do this.”

“What are you doing?” Meteor asked hearing me mumble under his breath. “You sound crazy.” “Says the one staring around the castle looking like shes about to steal something.”

“Wha... Do you really think I would do something like that? I am appalled, Blue.” She looks at me slyly. “Well, there is something here I might try to steal.”
“And what might I ask would that be?” Meteor stopped and turned to face him. “Oh nothing, just Miss Celestia’s crown.” Meteor turned and started walking again.
“I wouldn't be saying stuff like that in the castle you could get thrown in the dungeon.” I said laughing at Meteor. “Come on Blue, you know I’m joking.” She then mumbles again. “Well, I’m sure Princess Luna is waiting for us.”
“Yeah lets go before I lose my nerve again” Meteor takes off toward the massive, amethyst doors at the end of the hall. Each with Luna’s insignia engraved on it. She waits for me to reach the doors before knocking.
“ENTER.” A loud voice echos from inside the room. Meteor covered her ears at the sheer volume. I just stood there “Ah the royal Canterlot voice.”
Meteor recovered enough to open the door. I followed her inside.
“Uh... Princess Luna, I’ve come with my friend Blue Moon. On very important business.”
“I WAS TOLD THIS WAS TO BE A PERSONAL MEETING.” Luna looked at Meteor funnily as she covered her ears.
“Uah hi princess do you remember me its me Blue Moon.” She looked at the little stallion eyeing him up and down. “I CANNOT SAY THAT YOU ARE IN MY MEMORIES.”
“Um princess I know you’ve been gone for a while, but you don’t need to keep using the royal Canterlot voice.”
“WHAT DO YOU MEAN? THIS IS THE TONE OF VOICE ALL OF THE ROYAL FAMILY SPEAK WITH TO THEIR SUBJECTS.” She looked at me, slightly confused.
“Yeah, well that’s fine, but I think you’re gonna make my apprentice go deaf.” I said pointing to Meteor, still covering her ears.
“Oh, I see” Luna said, lowering her voice. “My sister said something about my subjects being unused to the Royal Canterlot Voice.”
“There that’s better now, as I was saying I am Blue Moon. I don’t know if you remember, but I was the little colt that was brought to you over one thousand years ago. I am also the stallion you saved five hundred years later in the royal gardens.” Meteor looked at me confused.
“I- Isn’t that impossible? Only alicorns have been known to live this long.” Luna replied, just as confused as Meteor.
“Thats not important right now Luna. What is important is why I’m here, I’m here to show my feelings and ask you to be my special somepony.” I said, my voice filled with confidence.
Luna looked down at me, concern in her eyes. “I cannot.” She finally said.
“And why not?” Meteor yelled up to her.
“I just can’t. Not to one so... unregal.” Meteor glared at her, astonished. “That is NO reason to deny somepony at least a chance!” Meteor unfurled her wings.

“ONE WHO IS TRULY REGAL WOULD DEFEND THEMSELVES!” Luna said, returning to the royal Canterlot voice. I could tell that Meteor snapped. Her wings moved with incredible speed. In a moment she was across the room. The small, grey pegasus had done something nopony had ever dared. The Princess held her face. A red hoofprint throbbed on her cheek. The guards, caught off guard (haha), took a moment to react, barely stopping Meteor from striking her again. Luna sat there, astonished. She then looked back to me. “At this point, I would sooner accept her than you.” Luna immediately chose to regret that comment. Meteor broke from the guards magic and flew to attack her again. The red mark on Luna’s face became even more so.
After the second hit I came back to reality, snatched up Meteor and bolted out of the room. The guard’s right on our tail along with a pissed off Luna.

At first Meteor resisted my attempts to get us out of there. When she finally got back to her senses she flew nearly as fast away as she had toward the Princess.

"Meteor what the hell were you thinking SLAPPING the princess, are you INSANE!?"

“I don’t care who it is, nopony should talk like that.”

A bolt of lightning zipped in between me and Meteor causing us to shut up and focus

We turned a corner and pulled ahead of them only for a little bit “We need to get out of here we have to hide” As we turned another corridor we came upon a four way path all leading to a door.

“Great which way do we go?” I looked around to each door

“I don't know” An angry yell came from behind us shaking the windows and our knees.

“Eenie, meenie, minie, MO!” Meteor grabbed me and crashed through the door closest to us and closing it behind her “Ok I think we're safe Blue.....Blue?”

I didn't hear her, I was too busy staring in fear at the large, white, all powerful alicorn taking a bite out of her sandwich.

“I take it things did not go well with my sister?”
