Once in a Blue Moon

Chapter eight

“Star what the hell are you doing laying in my bed!” I yelled kicking the passed out stallion off me.

“Wha.....huh.....five more minutes”

Broken Star the only pony I know that drinks as much as me and is now drooling on my floor “Star why are you in my house?”

“Wha...where am I” Star opened his eyes “Ow ow ow no nope never again” He clasped his head in pain from his hangover.

“That does not answer my question” I said getting out of bed.

“Oh Blue hey how’s it going, what are you doing in my house?” He said slowly getting to his hooves.

“This is my house” I said helping him up “and that still doesn't answer my question”

“Oh well sorry about that I guess we had a few to many huh?” He said laughing.

“Star what happened last night all I can remember is going to the bar having a few drinks and..and that’s it” I said looking at him.

“Well I walked into the bar around 2 am and saw you pounding back the drinks like there was no tomorrow then I joined in and BOOM here we are, I guess I passed out too when I brought you back haha sorry about that”

“Well at least I made it home safe I don’t need a FUI thanks for that by the way” I said patting him on the back “now how about some coffee on me?”

“Yeah that sounds good I need a pick me up feels like I got hit by a meteor” He laughed as he walked past me.

“Ha a meteor....wait a meteor.....METEOR?!” I yelled running into the living room searching.

“Um what are you doing, did you say Meteor she’s probably at home... though come to think of it I haven't seen her in a couple days” He said rubbing his chin.

“This is not good she could be anywhere”

“What’s the big deal? She's a tough girl, she’ll be fine! Now how about that coffee?”

“No no that’s not the problem she went out drinking with me last night and now she’s gone” I said grabbing him by the shoulders.

He grabbed my hooves and took them off his shoulders very calmly “Blue I only have one thing to say to you” He jumped forward and pinned me against the wall “What in all of Equestria would possess you to take my DAUGHTER out drinking with you?!”

He had me pinned and I could barely breath “Look i’m sorry it was an impulse she was with me I was upset it just happened ok?”

“Dammit Blue *sigh* fine, but we have to find her” He loosened his grip and let me go.

“Agreed now where do we start?” I said rubbing my neck where he was squeezing me.

Star rubbed the back of his neck “I don’t know let’s try the bar maybe Frosty can tell us something?”

“Great idea lets....” I was cut off by a hoof in my face.

“Look Blue don’t think that you're forgiven, cause your not.”

I looked into his eyes and I could tell he was dead serious and I knew not to mess with a worried dad thats one of my great life lessons that i’ve come to learn its not my first time in this situation man who knew Starswirl could throw such a mean right hook.

I nodded “Yeah, yeah I got it now lets go”

Derpy's house

“Oh...... maybe I shouldn't have had that last drink owww” Derpy said pressing her hoof to her head.

“You said it Derpy, my head is pounding. I shouldn’t have had that last celestia sunrise”

“AH..... wah.... Meteor what are you doing in my house and more importantly in my bed?!”

Meteor flopped around in Derpy’s bed “Oh well you showed up at the bar last night and me and you started drinking, then I left cause Blue ditched me, but I couldn’t make it so you let me stay here last night do you understand?”

“I t-think so, but why are you in my bed?”

“Oh, well I guess I do crazy stuff when I drink.” She said getting out of bed.

“O-ok I guess” She said shaking her head.

Meteor and Derpy both walked into the living room “So um are you hungry I can make some breakfast if you like?"
"No, that's ok Derpy, I should probably go check on Blue he had a lot to drink last night before I lost him I got to make sure he's not laying face down in a ditch somewhere," Meteor opened the front door. "but thanks anyway. I'll see you later."

Meteor closed the door tightly, she heard a faint wing-beat and looked up, seeing the slanted iris of a bat pony. “Aaa-mmmph” She tried to scream as a second Lunar Guard hit the back of her head. Out of a crack in the window blinds Derpy watched her unconscious friend carried through the sky toward Canterlot.
