Prince of the Herd
New town, New drama
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAfter a few days, FrostBite woke and started his morning routine before breakfast. Ten wing push-ups, ten sit-ups, and ten jumping jacks. It was rotten that he had gotten into the habit of doing. As for breakfast... ever since his first day there he had started eating three slabs of meat, two apples and a claw full of gems... with a glass of milk from Smolder's stash. A topic that neither of them brought up.
"So you think you're up for a flight test today?" Smolder asked, sitting across from him as the two enjoyed their breakfast.
Gulping FrostBite smiled at her. "Well... you see... ummm..." He rubbed the back of his head nervously. "About that..."
"What? You think you're up for the trip?" She laughed. After a moment she sighed. "Look. I get that you've been doing a great job with your lessons..."
"But what will happen after I arrive? I mean..." FrostBite explained nervously as Smolder's eyes slowly widened as she blushed. "Will we ever see each other again?"
Smolder's wings shot open as her brain froze. She didn't know what to say or think about what FrostBite had just said. It was true that they had spent a lot of time together. She was enjoying his company. And what was probably the most important was that he was the first to drink her milk outside of her family.
After a few moments she cleared her throat. "Well... we can always visit each other." She pointed out calmly. "If it's alright with you... maybe... we can find a place to stay."
'We?' He thought. 'Did I just hear her right?' FrostBite thought it over for a bit before nodding. "That sounds like a good idea. I'm a decent flyer now. And the agreement was that once I can fly. I go to the pony lands. It'd be nice to have a familiar face there." He paused to think of a more compelling reason for her to stay with him. "Plus... there's still a lot that I don't know about being a dragon."
Smolder smiled and got up finishing her jems. "Then it's decided." She proclaimed a bit too eagerly. "You get ready for the trip and I'll let the others know." Before FrostBite was able to say anything about it Smolder was out of the cave.
several hours later
FrostBite stood outside Smolder's cave looking around before spotting a group of dragons flying his way. Remembering the sign for 'ready to fly', he sent out a series of bursts of fire and smoke before fanning his wings.
"Easy there Syripes." Smolder teased as she landed. "There's a few things we need to take care of first." She gave him a knowing smirk before stepping to the side.
Ember looked at the red dragon who groaned and stepped forward. "Listen up runt." He huffed. "Till you prove your a real dragon..." He started as Smolder gave FrostBite a nod. Without hesitation FrostBite shoved a large jem in the red dragon's mouth.
"Still think I'm just a runt?" He asked with a smirk.
After coughing out the jem into his claw, the red dragon noticed the females giggling at him. Clearing his throat he looked at the jem and smirked. "You're still a runt. But... I'll admit... you're learning." He praised slapping FrostBite on the back. "Keep it up and I might just be cool with calling you brother." He laughed, causing the half-bred to look at him in confusion.
Stepping forward Ember punched his shoulder. "Are you ready to start your own herd?" She asked with a smile. Seeing the confusion on his face Ember turned to Smolder. "I guess he still needs time. But you two have my blessings." Stepping back Ember held her staff pointed to FrostBite. "I will grant you one season to begin your herd. If by then you have less than three in it. Then I will decide your fate and that of those with you."
"And if I have more than you?" FrostBite challenged.
She smirked. "If you have more than me?... then... we'll see." After a few minutes of laughter Smolder led the group to the edge of the dragon lands. "Ok Smolder. You know the way to Ponyville... Goodluck to you two." She said watching the siblings giving each other a hug goodbye.
Smolder and FrostBite gave each other a nod before taking off, giving the other dragons a wave goodbye as they flew off.
several hours later
FrostBite and Smolder flew over to a cave overlooking a nearby town. They had made several stops along the way to rest on their trip.
Looking down at the town Smolder pointed at the large crystal castle. "That's the castle of friendship." She started. "We'll be stopping off there... eventually." She glanced over expecting him to be licking his lips. But to her surprise, he had a look of confusion. "Remember our talk about the elements of friendship?" She asked, receiving a nod. "Well... that's where one of them lives."
FrostBite looked at the castle for a moment before turning to Smolder. "Anything I should worry about?" He asked, stepping back from the edge. "I'd rather avoid causing a scene."
Smiling Smolder gently put her hand on his shoulder. "It'll be fine." She assured. "When we go down I'll introduce you to the girls."
With a nod and some jems they rested for a bit before flying down.
Ponyville Center
The purple alicorn watched the sky as she hoped she was right about their arrival. As she kept her attention locked on the distance, her friends trotted over and looked at each other before a white unicorn trotted over.
"Twilight dear... maybe you should take a break. You've been at it for days now." She said softly as she rested a hoof on the alicorn's shoulder. "Leave us to take over."
"No..." Twilight sighed. "I need to be here when they arrive."
Seeing her friend's eye twitch the unicorn lifted the alicorn with her magic and carried her away. No sooner did she leave that the others saw two figures in the sky coming from the mountains.
"Y'all reckon that's them?" A tan earth pony in a cowboy hat pointed out. She glanced back at her friends who shrugged.
As the duo landed all eyes were on FrostBite as their jaws dropped. Smolder waved to the group before looking around at the four ponies and one dragon.
"Where's Twilight?" Smolder asked as she walked over to a young purple dragon. "Spike?.... hello?"
Blinking Spike looked over at her. "Oh sorry Smolder... Twilight is... taking a mandatory nap." On seeing the confusion on Smolder's face he sighed. "She pulled a three day all nighter."
Smolder plonked in shock before turning to the others. "Well... in that case. I guess I can introduce the rest of you first." She said moving back next to FrostBite.
"Girls. This is FrostBite." Smolder smiled with a smile as she motioned to the now stiff stallion. It might not have been the first time he was stared at. But it was the first time so many females eyed him over.
"Howdy partner. Name's Applejack." The tan earth pony introduced as she stepped forward. Motioning to her friends she introduced them in turn, causing each to nod. "This here is Pinkie Pie, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash and Spike. I'd like to invite ya over to the barn when ya get a chance. If Y'all don't mind meeting my kin."
"N...not at all." FrostBite replied shakily. "I'd like to get to know each of you in time." He paused seeing the pink pony properly named Pinkie Pie looked like she was about to burst. "But maybe you should take care of your friend while the two of us see about a place to stay."
Glancing over the pegasus named Rainbow Dash laughed and shook her head. "Don't worry about her Frosty." She teased. "Just find a place first. Trust me. You'll need it." She laughed as Pinkie seemed to vanish from sight in seconds.
The remaining friends laughed as Smolder and FrostBite looked at each other in concern. "Fluttershy?" Smolder asked. "Would you mind showing him around? I think it'd be a good idea if I go see Twilight."
The timid pegasus nodded before trotting over to FrostBite. As the two made their way to start the tour, Rainbow shrugged and took off. With a sigh Smolder turned to Applejack. "I get the feeling we came at a bad time."
Applejack blushed and rubbed her forelegs together. "Not really. Just gonna get a might.... awkward considering... ya know." Smolder thought for a moment. "Well... Hearts and Hooves day is coming... and..."
Smolder blinked in realization and blushed with a calm smile. "Well... at the least. HE won't be against the idea... I hope."
"Do ya mean?"
"We'll see."
Meanwhile
Fluttershy and FrostBite had stopped to smell some flowers, help ducks cross the street and were now rounding the corner to a vacant lot. "Pitty." FrostBite sighed, causing Fluttershy to stop and look at him in confusion. "This would be a good spot for a home." He continued as he looked around. "I wonder why they're not using it."
Fluttershy blinked and looked at the lot then across to the reason. "That." She sighed pointing to a memorial. "No pony wants to wake up each morning to be reminded of that day." FrostBite trotted over and looked at the plak.

"Oh... kinda sounds like a good thing though." FrostBite explained looking around. "Considering what was saved, right?" After a moment of thought Fluttershy smiled and nodded. "Well then. If possible. I think we fixed the living situation."
Fluttershy gave another nod before turning on his arm with her wing. "Come on. I'll help you with the paperwork. Town hall is just around the corner."
Meanwhile
Smolder walked over to Twilight with her other friends in tow. "Twilight... we need to talk."
Author's Note
A little bit longer than normal. But I didn't want to hit a wall with the dragon lands before setting up the pins.
Events planned for the future. Castration, domination, several kinky things involving sex... maybe age and/or size differences.
