Soaring Emotions
A Forming Union
Previous ChapterNext ChapterMonths passed as Soarin and Rainbow became closer as a couple, learning more about each other as they introduced the other to their hobbies. Rainbow took Soarin to a Daring Do convention and in turn, Soarin shared his personal hobbies with Dash.
During this time, a feeling grew in Soarin, like he found the one. Deciding it was time to propose, Soarin had one last thing to do. He woke up one sunny morning and after getting ready flew over to Rainbow's parent's house. Taking a deep breath and knocking on the door, he was greeted by Bow.
"Soarin, what a surprise to see you here, please come in." Bow said, inviting him inside. "Please have a seat anywhere." Bow offered as he shut the door.
Soarin sat down on the sofa as Windy came downstairs. "Oh Soarin, what a nice surprise to see you here, is Rainbow here too?" She asked with an angelic smile.
"No ma'am, I came on my own." Soarin answered as Windy sat down with him on the couch.
"Please dear, you're dating my daughter, just call me Windy." She insisted as Bow sat down in his chair.
"So, what brings ya here, Soarin?" Bow asked as he turned the TV on mute.
"Well, your daughter and I have been going out for a while now and…" Soarin stopped mid-sentence as he blushed. Taking a breath, Soarin continued. "I'd wish to ask for your daughter's hand in marriage, with your blessing of course." Soarin said as her parents gasped and then smiled.
"Soarin, you treat my daughter with respect, loyalty, and I can tell that you really care about her. What more could a father ask for, of course you have my blessing." Bow said as he leaned up in his chair.
Soarin looked at Windy who just patted his leg. "You make my Rainbow so happy, that's all a mother really wants. You have my blessing as well." Windy said as she hugged her soon-to-be son-in-law.
Soarin embraced the hug, wrapping his arms around Windy as she squeezed him.
Windy finally breaks the hug as she gets up and heads upstairs. Confused by this, Soarin tilts his head a bit. Bow just smiled. "I know where she's going, she's going to get a favor that Rainbow asked her years ago." The father said as he heard his wife coming back downstairs.
Windy Whistles came down the stairs holding a small cardboard box. Sitting back down on the couch she gingerly placed the box on Soarin’s lap. “I’ve held on to this for years. One day, Rainbow found it and put it on, she looked so adorable in it that I had to take pictures.” Windy Whistles said as she teared up a bit.
Opening up the box, Soarin was greeted with a pristine white wedding veil.
Fighting back tears, Windy patted Soarin’s leg. “This was my wedding veil, when I caught Rainbow in it, she asked me if she could wear it. I smiled and told her of course she could, but she’d have to grow into it first. So I put it into this box to keep it clean for all these years.” Windy recounted as Soarin smiled.
“This will help out a lot, thanks, Windy.” Soarin said as he hugged her again.
Windy embraced the hug as she wrapped her arms and wings around Soarin. “You’re welcome dear.” She said as she rubbed his back.
A few moments of silence passed until Soarin broke it. “Well, I hate to run, but I have something to do.” Soarin said as he got up from the sofa.
“Ok, be safe.” Bow said having an inkling about what Soarin is going to do.
“I will.” Soarin said as he went out the door.
Taking off from Rainbow's parents’ house, Soarin went to a local jeweler. Opening the door, he is greeted by the dealer dressed to the nines.
“Good afternoon, sir, how may I help you?” The dealer asked as he greeted Soarin with a warm smile.
Soarin walked up to the counter with a bag he had brought with him to Rainbow’s parents’ house. “Yes sir, I’m looking for a wedding ring. “ Soarin said as he ruffled through his bag, feeling the box he just got from Windy.
“Aren’t we all?” The dealer jokingly asked as he let out a hearty laugh. “I kid, I can help you out with that, now do you have the measurements of the finger you wish to put it on.
"Well not exactly." Soarin answered as he pulled out the bust of Rainbow's left hand.
The seller looked at him in surprise. "Well, aren't you a crafty one." He said before measuring the ring finger and writing down the size.
Once he got the size, the dealer brought out a tray of rings that were the size of the finger. Soarin looked carefully as he tried to locate the perfect one.
“Would you like any help, sir?” The clerk asked as Soarin took off the ring he slid on the bust.
“Yes please. Do you have any rings adorned with a prism?” Soarin asked.
“Oh yes, we do.” The clerk answered as he picked up a silver band ring embedded with a two-carat prism diamond. “This little beauty right here, it’s a two-carat gem and beautifully cut.” The ring seller said as he presented the ring.
Soarin looked at the ring in awe, the prism sparkled in the light as it casted a rainbow on the counter.
“It’s beautiful, how much?” Soarin asked as the ring dealer produced a box.
“The ring costs one thousand bits, but since you’re a Wonderbolt, I’ll give you a discount.” The clerk said, smiling as he pulled up the total. The cash register dinged as it pulled up the price of five hundred bits.
Soarin brought out his wallet and paid the fee. Leaving the establishment, he only had one thing left to do and that was to propose.
A few days later Rainbow Dash dropped by Soarin’s parents’ house for a visit. Knocking on the door, she stood there, she had been thinking that she would love to spend the rest of her life with Soarin, but though unconventional, she would want to get the blessings of his parents and brother first.
The door opened and standing there in the entrance was Misty Cloud. “Why Rainbow, what brings you here?” She asked as she invited Rainbow in with a wave of her hand.
Rainbow walks in as Misty closes the door. “Can I get you anything dear, a cold or hot drink perhaps?” Misty offered.
“That’s ok, ma’am, I’m good.” Rainbow politely declined. “I was just in the neighborhood and thought I’d drop by.” Rainbow said as she sat down on the couch.
“Oh, is Soarin with you?” Misty asked.
“No, he’s at HQ, Spitfire needed his help in combing through new recruits.” Rainbow answered.
“Ah, well that’s ok.” Misty said as she sat down next to Dash.
As they sat in silence, pondering on what to say, Gray Squall came in with an assignment from school. He had to define certain words based on the context of a sentence, usually he did pretty well in literature, but this time he was stuck.
“Mom, what does this word mean?” Gray asked as he pointed out the word he needed to define. The sentence read ‘There was a score of arrows being shot.’ The mother looked carefully at the sentence, but unfortunately couldn't come up with the answer.
Rainbow smiled, ‘Hey there sport, maybe I can help, come on over here. Rainbow said as Gray came over with the paper ready to write if she could.
“So the word you need to define is score right, as in a score of arrows?
Gray Squall nodded as Rainbow smiled.
“A score of arrows means twenty, so you’ll need to write ‘There were twenty arrows being shot.’ Rainbow said as Gray wrote it down.
“How do you know that, miss? Gray asked as Rainbow chuckled.
“Please kid, call me Rainbow Dash or just Dash, no need to be formal.” Rainbow said as she patted Gray on the shoulder.
“Ok, Dash. So how do you know it’s twenty?” Gray asked again.
“I learned it from reading Daring Do.” she said.
Gray’s eyes lit up. “But you’re an athlete, isn't Daring Do for eggheads?” Gray asked as Rainbow chuckled, seeing herself in him.
“I used to think that too, but no, it’s not. You can always learn even if it’s not from a textbook.” Rainbow said as she ruffled his hair. “The brain is a muscle too, don’t forget to give it a workout as well.” she added.
Gray Squall nodded. “Ok, I will. '' he said before heading upstairs.
Misty smiled as she looked at Dash.“You’re really good with kids.” Misty said as she leaned back on the couch.
Rainbow smiled. ‘Thanks, but it was just a simple task.” Rainbow said as she leaned up.
“You know, Feather and I are so happy Soarin found you, and Gray seems to like you too. I know it’s presumptuous, but we would be over the moon if Soarin asked you to marry him.” Misty said.
Rainbow blushed bright red as soon as she said that, that she was literally left speechless.
Misty giggled as she saw her blush and flabbergasted look. “I assume that’s why you came here, to get our blessings?” Misty asked only to get a nod from Rainbow.
“Sweetie, you don’t need to ask us, but we do appreciate the gesture.” Misty said as she pulled Rainbow into a hug.
Feather comes in from work at that time and overhears what they’ve been talking about. “That you don’t.” He chimed in looking at Rainbow intensely. “So you must be Rainbow Dash, it’s nice to finally put a face to the name. Soarin is just over the moon about you.” He said as he extended his hand for a shake.
Grabbing onto his hand Rainbow is met with a tight grip. “Well, I see where Soarin gets his strength.” Rainbow said cousin Feather to laugh.
“Nah. That’s all Soarin’s doing, I’m just strong enough for my job.” Feather said as he sat down in his chair. “Like Misty said, we’d both love for you to be a part of the family, so the blessings are automatically given.” Feather added.
“Thank you.” Rainbow replied, blushing brightly. She looked over at the clock and realized she better get home.
“I hate to run, but I better get going, tomorrow is a big Wonderbolts show that’s going to be televised so I better get some sleep.” Rainbow said as she opened the door.
“Alright be safe.” Feather said as she nodded and left. She took off flying and arrived at her house. Once entering her house she hastily made her favorite sandwich her mom used to make so she could carboload and went to bed as soon as the sun had set.
***************************************************************
Rainbow Dash wakes up bright and early the next morning with her alarm clock on her phone blaring “Reville”. Jolting out of bed, she quickly dismisses the alarm and goes to take a shower.
After taking a quick shower Rainbow hastily grabs a quick breakfast and rushes out the door. She arrives at Ponyville Station and boards the train heading for Manehattan. Sitting in her car, Rainbow pulls out the hastily grabbed breakfast which consisted only of a single granola bar. Opening the package, she begins to eat, her stomach not filling up. Getting out her wallet she pulls out twenty bits and orders a breakfast on the train to match the price.
The caterer soon comes back with a pancake breakfast, complete with veggie bacon, hash browns, eggs, and a cup of black coffee. As the server set down Rainbow’s meal, Rainbow’s mouth watered with anticipation, eager to be fed a filling meal.
As Rainbow cut into the sunny side up eggs, the golden yolk oozed out as it worked its way onto the hash browns. Taking a bite Rainbow smiled as she practically wolfed down her breakfast so she wouldn't have any left over when she arrived.
The train arrived at Manehatthan in about an hour. The hustle and bustle of the city brought about a busy air as Rainbow disembarked the train and headed for the hotel the Bolts were staying at. When Rainbow Dash entered the hotel all the Bolts were gathering in the lobby, Rainbow being the last to arrive alone with Thunderlane.
“Glad you made it Crash. I thought you slept in.” Spitfire greeted Rainbow as she came up to them.
“Like I would miss this, It’d bring disgrace to the uniform.” Dash said, eliciting a pleased smile from Spitfire.
“That it would, Crash. Now I’ll go get the room keys, but remember, we all had to bunk up to put some bits back for HQ so you’ll be bunking with Soarin, ok Crash?” Spitfire said as Rainbow blushed and smiled.
“Yes, ma’am.” Rainbow answered with a salute as Spitfire went and confirmed the reservation.
Once Spitfire had confirmed the reservation, she handed out the keys to each of the Bolts. As they all went to their rooms, Soarin and RD walked to theirs together, both of them happy to be sharing a room together. As they entered their room, Soarin was nervous, but remained calm as he kept his surprise hidden from Dash’s sight.
“Just like that one night at my place huh?” Rainbow asked, causing Soarin to blush.
“Yeah, I even planned ahead.” Soarin said as he flashed a strip of rubber to Dash who just smiled mischievously.
“So did you know we’d share a room? What if Spitfire assigned you and Glitter to share a room, would you have bucked her?” Rainbow teased, causing Soarin to blush bright red and sweat a bit.
“No, I would never. I l- I love you too much to do that.” Soarin said as he began to stutter.
Rainbow Dash laughed as he did, holding her gut as she struggled to get a breath. “I know, I’m just messing with you. Rainbow said as she came closer with a seductive look on her face. “Though I will admit, you’re cute when you’re all blushy and nervous.” Rainbow cooed as she gently rubbed his pants’ crotch area with her hand.
Blushing brightly, Soarin continued to unpack as Rainbow threw herself onto the bed to relax before the show started in a couple of hours.
The time of the show quickly came before them. Soarin opted to change in the hotel room instead of the locker room so he could easily hide the ring inside his spandex uniform.
Rainbow on the other hand made her way to the stadium’s locker rooms and began changing with her squadmates. Once they all get dressed Soarin joins them in formation as Spitfire starts the show. The bolts started off performing various forms of aerial stunts that ranged from divebombs to loop-de-loops in the air. As Rainbow performed her stunts she could see her friends in the audience cheering her on.
Once the show ended Soarin along with a camera crew came up to Rainbow Dash as she was still hovering in midair. “Hey Clipper, What’s going on?” Rainbow asked, confused at what was about to occur.
“Rainbow, we’ve been going out for a while now, and it’s been fun. We’ve had so many good times together that now I want to make more memories like that with you, but not as boyfriend and girlfriend.” Soarin said as he got down on one knee in midair, taking out a small box, Rainbow gasped as tears started to swell up in her eyes as the audience watched in anticipation, sitting on the edge of their seats.
Opening up the box, Soarin revealed the prism ring he had bought. “Rainbow Dash, will you make me the happiest stallion on Earth and marry me?” Soarin asked as Rainbow covered her mouth.
With tears in her eyes Rainbow uncovered her mouth and held her chest. “Yes. Yes, Soarin, I will marry you.” Rainbow answered as the crowd cheered as the camera crew did a close up of Soarin putting the ring on Rainbow’s finger.
“Oh, but Soarin, I don’t have your ring.” Rainbow said a little saddened by this fact.
Soarin just wrapped his arm around her body and kissed her. “I don’t mind waiting, because you are worth it.” Soarin replied, causing Rainbow to blush bright red.
“Oh, I know what to do.” Rainbow said as she plucked one of her cyan blue feathers out and braided it into Soarin’s hair. “I promise I’ll get you that ring, but for now my feather will have to do.” Rainbow replied as she kissed Soarin back.
As they kissed, the announcer came on. “You’ve seen it here first folks, the two of the top Wonderbolts just got engaged ;and for those not in the know, the thing Rainbow Dash just did was an old pegasus custom to signify acceptance of a marriage proposal.” The announcer said as Soarin and Rainbow landed, the audience now left, making room for the next batch of attendees.
“Alright, that was a good show out there, just one more and you can all call it a night. We got an hour so if any of you want lunch, now is the time to get it, we have caterers or you can go to a nearby eatery, just be back in time.” Spitfire said as the Bolts left to get some lunch.
Soarin and Rainbow opted to go to an eatery, there was one nearby that served the best spaghetti in Manehatthan. Opening the door to the establishment the restaurant was fairly busy, but not too much as they were quickly seated upon arrival and ordered the spaghetti.
Rainbow sat at the table with the ring on her finger, unsure of what to say now as she and Soarin were served their food.
“That’ll be a show the audience will remember.” Rainbow said as she started to twirl her fork in the spaghetti.
“Yeah, it will.” Soarin agreed as he used his fork to stab a vegetarian meatball.
As Soarin and Rainbow ate, a child that was in the audience recognized them and came up to them with a pen and a Wonderbolts stat book asking for an autograph from the two.
Rainbow and Soarin smiled as they both took turns signing their pictures in his book. The child thanked them as they handed him his book back and he left with a wide smile on his face.
Once they had finished eating they quickly returned to the stadium where they performed the last show of the night to a roaring crowd.
Once the show was over Rainbow and Soarin entered their hotel room and both collapsed on the couch.
“Those were some shows huh?” Soarin asked, his muscles crying out from exhaustion.
“Yeah, it was.” Rainbow agreed as she took off her shoes and socks, her feet breathing with a sigh of relief from the work out.
Nuzzling up to Soarin, Rainbow smiled. “I can't wait until we’re married, when do you want to start planning?” She asked as she laid her head on Soarin’s shoulder.
Soarin smiled as he wrapped his arm around her, maybe after this trip, but we have all the time in the world.” Soarin said as he kissed her forehead.
“Soarin?” Rainbow asked as she blushed, thinking about what she was about ready to ask.
“Yes, Sweetie?” Soarin answered, looking at her.
Rainbow blushed as she began to stutter. “I-I lived alone in Ponyville for as long as I can remember, that night we shared there was so magical. I was wondering if you’d want to move in with me?” Rainbow asked as Soarin smiled.
“I’d be more than happy to, Rainbow.” Soarin answered as he kissed Rainbow on the lips, Rainbow embracing the kiss as their tongues started to wrestle for each other.
Breaking the kiss Rainbow got up and walked to the bed, taking off her clothes she laid on her back as she spread her legs to reveal her marehood. “You want to take the treasure at the end of the Rainbow?” she asked, causing Soarin to blush bright red.
Soarin quickly took off his spandex uniform along with his underwear and put on a condom, he then proceeded to get over on top of Rainbow and look at her for a few seconds.
Breathing slowly, Soarin caressed Rainbow as he slowly slid his wrapped cock into her slit. Rainbow softly moaned as his cock stretched out her vaginal muscles, feeling him begin to thrust made her moan louder as she tried to match his movement.
Thrusting in and out, Soarin and Rainbow moaned out in pleasure as the bed began to creak and moan under their weight. Rainbow's tongue rolled out as Soarin thrusts into her, bringing her closer to orgasm with each thrust he gives.
After five minutes of passionate fornication, Soarin finally cummed, moaning loudly as Rainbow also orgasmed, coating his condom-coated cock with her orgasm.
Soarin pulls out, the condom dripping with Rainbow's vaginal fluids and full of Soarin's seed. Soarin carefully pulls off the condom and ties it shut before gently throwing it in the thrash.
As Soarin and Rainbow lie in bed, Rainbow's phone goes off, picking it up, she blushes to see that it was her mother calling. Taking a deep she answers the call and puts the phone to her ear.
"Hey mom, how you doing?" Rainbow asked as her mom excitedly answered.
"I'm doing great dear, I just saw the show on TV, I'm so happy for you and Soarin." She said while fighting back tears.
"Yeah, he sure surprised me." Rainbow said as she looked over to Soarin. "So, what are you doing now?" Rainbow asked.
"Oh, go on and put me on speaker." Windy said. Rainbow did as she was asked and soon a voice came on the phone.
"Hey, Soarin your father, brother, and I saw the broadcast and we're happy to." Misty said as a look of surprise took a hold of Soarin and Rainbow.
"I am too, mom." Soarin said, his mom picking up on the surprised tone.
"I'm glad, but yeah, before the show began, Windy invited us over here." Misty replied.
"Wait, mom? You knew Soarin's mom?" Rainbow asked.
"Of course I know Storm, she was a close friend of mine in high school." Windy answered.
"Well, we better go, we just wanted to call and congratulate you two." Misty said as they both told their kids they love them and hung up.
Putting the phone back on the nightstand, Rainbow looked at Soarin. "Looks like they know." Rainbow said as she pulled the covers over them.
"Yeah, I'm glad we're doing this Rainbow." Soarin said as he caressed her cheek before she turned off the light.
