"Here we are, the Canterlot Penitentiary," Matterhorn said as Radiance was with her. "Home to some of the city's most dangerous criminals, and an almost impossible place to break out. Lucky for us, we're trying to break in."

"Let's save the word lucky after we're finished. Tell me again why doing this?" Radiance asked.

"Caleb Simon claims he destroyed Vargas. But really, Vargas is Professor Stargazer Shadow, so if he's gone, Stargazer should be too. Unless, of course, Caleb is lying."

"You really that Mr. Simon would lie?"

"It's been hard finding proof, and won't listen to me, so if we find him tonight, it'll go long way to proving my point." Matterhorn froze the bars then kicked them, to shatter them then both heroines walked inside. "Caleb has people everywhere who are here to lie for him, I won't believe it until I see it with my own eyes."

"Professor Shadow?"

"Matterhorn." He replied.

"I knew it! Simon claimed he took Vargas out."

"Vargas? Gone? That explains why my beastly counterpart hasn't checked in. I'm sorry to hear that. Because we're made in pairs, you see. And if one goes, so must the other."

"Uh, I think we need to go," Radiance grabs her they made the two of them invisible as left out of there before the guards showed and the professor went boom.

"See, I told you to learn a thing or two from me."

"Yet, I never imagined we'd be breaking out of jail."

"But it paid off, now we know that one prison and the one at Simon Acamadey are both fakes."

"Meaning the real one, is out there somewhere."

"And that isn't for any of us, because if Simon truly thinks that Vargas is gone, then it leaves him and his family open to an attack."

"Good luck with darling," As Radiance created a flying carpet.

...

"Twilight, did you hear what happen last night?" Moondacner asked.

"Yeah, I did, but listen to this, I have it on good authority that the man in that prison was not your uncle. In fact, it was some sort of clone," Twilight said.

"What do you mean it wasn't him?"

"That's what I'd like to find out and I could use your help. Do you know if your uncle was working on anything unusual? Besides the fact, mutating himself into jackal-crab hybrid and turning Stoner into a bull."

"Well put, but I don't know."

"Would it be possible to look around his house? Maybe something that can point us in the right direction."

"Sure. I was heading home for lunch, but we can swing by my uncle's place instead. Hop on."

"Sure okay."

"If, Twi's riding on the back, can I take the handlebars?" Monica asked.

"Monica." Both were happy to see her.

"Hey, Moondacer. Twi, I thought about what you said, and I appreciate your concern. I tried to talk to my dad about it, but his ego's too damn big to accept the fact that he might not have destroyed the real Vargas. Which means it's up to me to protect him, to protect us. So until we find proof that Vargas is gone, count me in."

"I'm glad to hear you say that, Monica, because we could use your help.

"Good. Let me start by offering a more comfortable mode of transportation," Monica showing the car.

Meanwhile, on the other side of the city at Rarity's house.

"You did what!?" Applejack, Rainbow, Pinkie, Sunset, and Fluttershy were shocked by what Rarity said.

"What in the hell you were thinking about going to the most secure place in all of Canterlot!" Rainbow shrieked.

"First off, it wasn't my idea, it was The Masked Matterhorn's idea, because the other day, Vargas had turned the students at Simon Acamedy into monsters. But fortunate the faculty were there to lend a hand and turned them back to normal and with Caleb believing that he destroyed him," Rarity explained. "But she didn't believe him and good reason, because the one in the prison was fake as well."

"So that means that real Vargas is still there," Sunset said. "Anything else?"

"There mention of a meta-human army coming to hold, but that was it."

"A meta-human, I don't like the sound of that," Fluttershy shuddered a bit. "We have to deal with bad people but that...."

"It's okay Flutters," Pinkie hugged her and the others. "Whatever happens we can handle it, together!"

"Pinkie, give us a heads-up when you're going to do that!" Rainbow exclaimed.

"But you're right we need to find the Vargas before it gets to that point," Applejack said then she, Rainbow, Pinkie, Fluttershy, and Rarity became their alter-egos.

"Hope to Bessie that the Matterhorn is having better luck than us."

...

"Damn it, I thought we'd find more of his research here, but all these papers from his college days," Moondancer said as they look through his house.

"Is everything okay?"

"Yeah...It's still weird for me, first to learn that he is Vargas, and now to hear he might've been a clone. What the hell is going on?"

"We'll figure it, Moondancer," Monica assured her.

"Of course, we will. There has to be a tissue around here," Twilight said while looking for one then found something interesting. "Hey, guys, any idea what Professor Shadow might've kept at West End Storage?"

Then at storage...

"Empty? Didn't see that coming."

"Why would Uncle Shadow rent such a large space for just one computer?"

"And wire it with security cameras?" As one of them scanned them.

Scanning complete, DNA recognition complete.

"What was that?" Moondancer asked then a video showing Vargas.

"Hello, Caleb."

"Caleb, the DNA scanner must be confusing me with dad."

"I knew you'd come looking for my meta-human experiment."

"Meta human experiment?" Twilight asked.

"And bravo on finding this place. Sadly, it's a dead end. Unless, of course, you came here looking for your doom.

"Look out!" Twilight saw a gun then serval guns appeared.

"Head for the door!" Monica exclaimed as they headed to the door only for her and Moondancer to escape and leave Twilight inside.

"Can't change into Matterhorn in front of these cameras," Twilight said looking at it. "But that might be the very least of my problems."

Twilight ran behind a couple of crates dodging their fire.

"Got to keep that secret identity of mine secret."

Twilight threw a trash can and smashed it.

"Take care of one prying eye and deal with more."

Twilight shot an electric beam to sort it out.

"Man I wonder how Captain Mane deals with this?" Twilight throws a trash can lid and it slices one of them. "Now let's bring down the hammer!"

Twilight grabs the broken blast and smashed the other one.

"But nothing better than being The Masked Matterhorn," As Twilight draws two more blasters destroying each other.

"Oh hey guys," Twilight said.

"Twilight, are you okay?"

"What happens to this place?"

"Well, once the current registered that the Simon DNA was gone, they powered down, which allowed me to disable the computer system. Which then caused them to self-destruct."

"Something tells me, that a bit more to the story,"

"Something tells me there's more to these files. But they're probably encrypted."

"Let me try." As Moondancer uses several passwords. "None of Uncle Shadow's passwords work. But I might have something that can help.

Then Moondancer inserted a flash drive.

"What's that?"

"A little something I've been cooking up at school. It can't necessarily decrypt files, but it shows us where the files were created."

"Wait a minute, I know that address. It's Crystal Prep."

Later at Crystal Prep...

"Hopefully this isn't just another wild goose chase."

"Feels like old times, huh? You and I, find a problem, present a hypothesis and work together to prove it. I glad you showed up today."

"Likewise, any idea what we're looking for here?"

"A decryption key or a password list. Anything that might unlock Uncle's files."

"I asked myself, where would I hide a decryption key?"

"Uh, Twilight what are you doing?"

"Look at the desk, it bolted down but there are deep scuff marks all around it. Almost as if..." Twilight heard a click. "It moves."

"Whoa." Then it revealed some stairs.

"Not what I was expecting but maybe even better.

Then they made their way down there.

"Holy crap, a secret underground lair," Monica exclaimed. "Where's my treasure map?"

"I'll just be happy if we find those decryption codes," Twilight said. "Let's split up and keep searching."

"You are not the person I thought you were, uncle. Wonder how far back this goes.

"This is it!" Monica said.

"Find anything?"

"Shadow's meta-human experiment."

"His what?"

"Dad, I found it. Lock on to my signal. You're clear to come in."

"What? What are you doing?"

"What does look it like, The Masked Matterhorn and the others are part of Vargas's meta-human army. I'm working with my dad to stop destroying them."

"What makes you think that they are part of his army?"

"From where I stand, you just led to the very experiment that created Matterhorn's power-- what? They're not here?"

"Monica, listen to me..."

"No you listen, I know you are on my side..."

"Girls!" Mooondancer shouted.

"Moondancer, what's the-- oh no. Clones?"

"My uncle seems to be creating dozens of them."

"And giving them all--"

"Meta humans powers!"

"He is creating a meta-human army!"

"I told you! But he has;t siphoned their powers yet. I can stop this."

"Monica wait!"

"No, Twilight, I'm taking these vials back to Simon Tech and you can't stop me."

As Monica grabbed one of them, the clones popped out of their pods.

"I won't stop you, but they might!"

"Have any other bright ideas, Simon?"

"In fact, I do," Caleb said as he, Black Hawk, Destroyer, Bulldozer, Clayton, and The Doctor crashed the party.

Bulldozer threw two boulders at them, just as The Doctor pushed back two more.

"Everyone stay back, The Simon Commandos will take it from here."

"Step aside, honey."

"But, dad. I thought I could be one of the Simon Commandos."

"Let the girl stay, Caleb," The Doctor said.

"I am the general of this battalion, David, not you. You mere doctor and take orders from me! Now get my girl to safety."

"As you wish." As he grabbed her.

"Come on, we need to get going!" Twilight grabbed Moondancer's arm and followed.

Destroyer blasted a couple of them. While Black Hawk did a sonic scream.

"Where did get that?" Twilight asked as Monica hold the flame sword.

"Made it myself, pretty impressive right!"

"Can we discuss this later? We need to get to safety."

"But what with the mask?"

"Simple, I changed the fuel source so it can develop hotter flame."

Then a clone surprised them.

"Guys, look out!" Then Bulldozer rammed into it causing most of it to crumble and trapping them.

"I'm blocked off, but I can get through the ceiling! I'll meet you outside eventually." As Moondancer and Monica headed out their side, Twilight put on her mask.

Meanwhile, Clayton threw a metal disc at one of them but was quickly brought down by the clones then The Masked Matterhorn kicked one of them and then disputed with having goo on her.

"Ew! Sorry didn't mean to steal the spotlight from you, but I figured you could some help.

"Matterhorn!" Clayton said as she helped him up.

"These clones are not fully formed," The Doctor said. "If we aggravate their cells enough, they'll degenerate back into their basic primordial blocks."

"If the sheer number of them doesn't overwhelm us first!" Matterhorn as she blasted a beam of fire.

"So this is how you make a meta army, huh, Stargazer?" Caleb wondered.

Black Hawk took to the air and did a Sonic Scream destroying the Vargas Clones.

"Well me show you how to prevent one." As Caleb took out a few wires.

"Caleb, don't!" The Doctor tried to reason with him. "There's valuable research here that we can co-opt."

"I made that mistake before, I won't do it again. The only thing left to do is destroy it!"

"Ew! It's like fighting pudding," Matterhorn did her best not to throw up. "But I think that's the last of them.

"You may have defeated all my clones, but never defeat the true Vargas!" He came from behind and kick Caleb.

"Decided to show yourself, huh, Stargazer?" He asked as The Doctor grabbed him. "Bad move, Comandos finish him!"

Neither of them moves an inch.

"Did you hear me? I said 'Finish him!'"

"Ha!" The Doctor laughed as he release Vargas. "So sorry, Caleb, but any man who disregards the importance of scientific research, no matter how dangerous, doesn't deserve to be in control."

"What?"

"Besides, ever since you told me that Simon Tech owns all my tech, I've made it my mission to own Simon Tech. With the help, I might add, of the very mind control devices that Vargas used to control his Bulldozer army."

"My pleasure."

"Didn't see that coming?" Matterhorn snapped her fingers in front of Black Hawk as The Doctor held up Caleb."

"I'll get you for this, you worm!"

"I'm doctor, Caleb, " Then threw him into a stasis pod. "Doctor Mayhem! And the Deadly Five are in my control now! Where's the young Simon?"

"She escaped." Clayton told him.

"Too bad. 'Deadly Six' has a better ring to it."

"How about Mayhem's future inmates has an even better ring to it," Matterhorn said quietly.

"So, Mayhem, is the enemy of my enemy my friend?" Vargas asked.

"If hand over the rest of your mind-control research," He suggested.

"Done."

"Excellent."

Then out of nowhere, a lighting blast came right at Doctor Mayhem and Vargas.

"Now that's what I call a hostile takeover!" Zapp exclaimed as she, Mareveouls, Fill-Second, Saddle Rager, and Radiance came in.

"Are you okay?" Saddle Rager ran over to Matterhorn.

"Thanks, for the timing!" Matterhorn thanked her just the villains got back up.

"Deadly Five! Destroy those impudent freaks!"

Clayton threw a disc only for Radiance to block with her shield and Mareveouls catch him in her rope and tossed him. Black Hawk did a Sonic Scream at Zapp but quickly avoided it, then kicked him. Destroyer tried to punch Fill-Second then Mayhem did but she was too fast.

As villains tangled with our heroines, Caleb muster any strength he had to finish what he started.

"And now to destroy this thing once and for all!" He grabbed a big piece of rock then smashes it then the reactor created an explosion.

"That doesn't look good," Saddle Rager exclaimed as the complex came down.

"Deadly Five, retreat!" Mayhem commanded them then left along with Vargas.

"Hold on, Caleb!" As Mareveouls used her super strength to get him out of there.

"There's no time!" Caleb said. "Save yourselves, and keep my daughter safe."

"He's right, we got to go!" As they all left leaving him behind.

Hours later, the fire department came, as the group was watching the event unfold from afar.

"I tried to save, Caleb, even the fact you want me or the others dead, I tried," Matterhorn said. "But when building an empire on pillars of hatred, fear, betrayal, nothing can stop walls from tumbling down."

"In my opinion, he asked for it," Zapp said receiving a glare from everyone. "What, you don't think so?"

"I would agree but he did it only because he was afraid of our powers," Saddle Rager said as tears began to form. "No one should deserve a fate so cruel."

"I need a minute to process what just happen. Vargas, Dr. Mayhem, Monica..." Filli-Second said of what happened.

"Yeah, no matter how many bad guys we'd take down, new ones seem to be lurking just around the corner, thanks for rescuing me."

"No problem," Saddle Rager replied then hugged her tightly while crying.

And that is how this story ends, Caleb met his demise, Vargas makes a comeback, and David Crawford becomes the newest member of the Rouges Gallery as Dotocr Mayhem and sole creator of The Dealy Five. What happens next? Stay tuned to find out.
