Matterhorn Season 1

Part one of the two part-finale of Matterhorn Season 1, how will the friendship of Monica and Twilight be after everything, from Meta-Outbreak to Twilight revealing her superhero status let's find out.

"You know what's the best thing about living in Canterlot City, even after a virus turned everyone into meta-monsters, the next day we're cleaning up and moving on!" Matterhorn said as the people have begun to rebuild.

"Look it's The Masked Matterhorn!" One of them saw her and everyone cheered.

"No need for the praise, I had lots of help. We're all at our best when we work together."

"We have your back, kid!"

"Of course, fixing the city is only half the problem, the other half is mending my friendship with Monica."

"Monica, you already started experimenting, I'd say I would help," Twilight walked into the lab.

"I know you did," Monica replied snarkily. "But see those ruins at top of this building? That insult to the Simon legacy? That's what happened the last time you help."

"You have every reason to be mad at me, but we had to save the city. I had no intention to hurt you or your family."

"Oh, yeah, tell that to him!" Monica showed her Caleb who was being monitored.

"We already thought mixing Starlight's serum and my blood was the only way to save your dad. None of us knew it'd had negative side effects. nor had any options."

"Well now he's getting worse and I tried everything but it'd be much easier to find a cure if you had blown up half the labs in the building."

"That's why I want to help, not as The Masked Matterhorn as Twilight Sparkle," She said then heard an explosion. Do you mind?"

"Sure, go play the hero, I needed to get some fresh air anyway," Monica said.

"I'll be back soon, I promise."

Much Later, Matterhorn flew through the city heading to the explosion.

"Hey, need a hand!" Matterhorn froze the incoming debris. "What the hell happened?"

"Some kind of monster smashed up our science conference. It grabbed our keynote speaker, Randall Mclean."

"Stay here, and call the fire department, I'll look for him. Please let, Randall, be okay.

Matterhorn head-on into the building.

"Randall! Where are you?" Matterhorn called for him then her Danger Radar came in. "Uh, oh!"

She dodged an incoming laser blast.

"Doctor Mayhem!"

"Say goodbye to your friend, Masked Matterhorn," Mayhem said as he held Randall. "This is the last chance you'll get."

"Randall, let him go! Didn't your mom teach you that capturing a genius isn't polite?"

"Genius everyone throws the term around so carelessly, whereas I, an indisputable genius, was undermined by fewer thinkers like Randall Mclean."

"Undermined? Earth to Mr. Vocab, Randall funded your research and gave you a job at Nexus."

"Then he pulled his supported which forced me into the hands of that maniacal Caleb Simon, who thought who could steal what was rightfully mine."

"Well, Simon learned it the hard way, you don't mess with Dr. Mayhem!"

He fired a laser at her, making her dodge it, then punched him in the gut.

"Why did start a fire, Mayhem? You want your brain cells to be fried?"

She kicked him twice sending him back.

"I don't have time for this!" He exclaimed then tossed across the room but Matterhorn regained her balance and went after him. "I have one last thing on my list."

Matterhorn threw her electric whip at him, tying him up.

"Ha! Minions, the Matterhorn thinks she can control what your master does."

"Talking to yourself. That's a good sign."

"I was talking to them," He retorted and the rest of the Deadly Five came down.

"Bulldozer! Black Hawk! Destroyer! With upgrades? Someone's been a mad scientist. And who's that? Metal-Minion? Come on, I only person in your life."

"Ugh, I can assure you, no expense was spared in the transforming of Clayton Dagger into the Metalhorn, a fine addition to mine Deadly Five."

"BTW, The Deadly Five is a great name for a boy band," Matterhorn armed her tracer and prepared to throw.

"Mock all you want! Mclean's clock is running," Mayhem turned around and Matterhorn threw only for him to catch it. "Matter Tracer, please, I know all your tricks. But do know mine?"

Metalhorn threw a disc that exploded upon contact near her and the Deadly Five left with Randall in tow.

"So much for getting back to help Monica," Matterhorn said while dusting herself off then went after him.

"Damn, his vitals are getting weaker, if one of these chemicals can bond with your DNA, it should be effective in counteracting the damage from Matterhorn's blood," Monica looks at Caleb's readings. "If not, it takes even more. Maybe kill you."

"Some risks must be taken," Caleb said weakly.

"No, I'm going to let my cure be what destroys you. If only there were a way to test it without... Wait, we're family. If it will bond to my DNA, it will bond to yours. But I can't test myself. But what choice do I have? I'm not going to lose you again."

"Looks like I don't even need a tracer, Doc," Matterhorn said while tailing him. "It's a good thing you don't call yourself Doc Stealth."

Her Danger Radar went off making her dodge Black Hawk's sonic scream.

"Black Hawk! Did you say something? Couldn't hear you. Just kidding, your super loud," Matterhorn dodged his pursuit. "And chatty type, not sure I prefer the strong and completely mind-control type?"

Black Hawk threw his tips right at her but she dodged them all and grabbed one and send it back only for him to block it with his wings.

"Guess, Vargas gave Mayhem his mind-control devices as promised. Because none of you would hang with the doc by choice. I'm no bird nerd, but can actual hawks do that? I'd hate for you to be inaccurate."

Black Hawk fired his tips at Matterhorn dodging them, the heroine kicked him in the face and held on as he took off.

"Hey, let's ride share!" Matterhorn exclaimed while holding as Black Hawk tried to shake her off. "You want me off? How about following the leader? Bet you can't catch me!"

Matterhorn took a dive with Black Hawk following her then she use her wings to glide then kick Black Hawk from behind that sending her straight to the ground.

"Nighttime for you, feathers, now to find Dr. M and Randall," Then her Danger Radar kicked in, then dodged a projectile thrown by Metalhorn.

"Metalhorn, right? No offense, but I was already the first one before it was trendy."

Metalhorn threw two discs at her that missed.

"The fact your way behind on the villain scale if you trying to copy my style," Matterhorn said before kicking right at the face and then firing a fire bolt. "Man, your heavy metal. Because steel has a density of around 8,000 kg per cubic meter. Get it?"

Metalhorn came right and tried to strike at her but missed.

"Trust me, Clayton, if weren't mind controlled, that quip would be hilarious!"

Metalhorn grabbed her thrown her across the construction yard but Matterhorn landed on her feet. Taking no chance, Matterhorn fired an ice bolt at him, but he dodged and send two discs making her lose her balance and fall down.

"Okay, that tornado thing was crazy, but how many more tricks can they do?"

The discs that Metalhorn had in his possession gave electric energy.

"Static mode? Why do I say the dumbest things like that?"

Both of them shocked her and he tackled her into the ocean. In the water, as Metalhorn tried to submerge her, Matterhorn struck her Sparkle Star at his mask, forcing them both to the topside.

"I just remember, I had a doctor's appointment. Can resume this later?" She asked as Metalhorn slam her down on the ground. "Don't have time to play dodgeball with metal me."

Metalhorn threw a metal disc at her.

"But maybe do have time for kickball!"

She kicked it right back to him and he was on the ground.

"That takes of care him, now," then the ground started to shake. "What the hell? Is it wrong that I'm hoping this is a natural earthquake and not a bull? She asked as Bulldozer rammed her.

"Nope, nothing natural about that."

Then much later, Matterhorn ran hoping he does not catch her.

"Can a girl have a time out here, geez?" As Bulldozer caught up with her and punch her right into a cargo package then charge at her but missed and sent it flying.

"Can anything stop him?" Then she saw the train. "Maybe that train can. This might not be the best science, but I'm pretty sure trains beat bulls.

"Hey horned head, over here!" Matterhorn was rail and Bulldozer charged at her. "I know it's crazy but what do I have to lose?"

Just as Bulldozer prepared to smash her, Matterhorn froze his hands and the train send him flying.

"That's going to leave a mark, but have to admit taking that hurt a lot, there has to be an easier way to get around town with flying.

Much later, she was resting on top of a subway.

"Who am kidding? Mayhem could be on either side of the city by now. Wait, Mayhem had that secret lab outside of Nexus. I saw it when we were teammates. Ugh, we were teammates. That is such an embarrassing memory now."

"There, we'd go. Now would that giant-brained genius really be dumb enough to go to the one place I'd remember? Even the smartest can be predictable," Then her Danger Radar kicked in as Destroyer attacked her from behind.

"Destroyer! Focus, Matters. You bruised, but you got this!" Matterhorn ran to it, but Destroyer slammed to the ground and crashed into Mayhem's secret lab.

"Ah, you've arrived!" Mayhem welcomes her. "Which means phase one of my plan is complete."

"First phase? Let Randall Mclean go," Matterhorn exclaimed.

"But, of course," He compiled and freed him.

"Huh?"

"Is this another one of your tricks, David?" Randall asked.

"It's not. You are free to go, Mclean. This is never about you. It was about The Matterhorn. And wearing her down with my Deadly Five," Mayhem chuckled a bit as the others came down. "And I think we've done that haven't we?"

"Matterhorn!"

"We're done with you, Mclean. Destroyer, get him out of mine sight," Destroyer grabbed him and took to the skies.

"No!" Randall struggled to get free. "Leave her alone!"

Then both Metalhorn and Black Hawk restrained her.

"Nice try, hero. But I believed the fight has gone out of you."

"Don't be sure, Mayhem, have you forgotten I got allies."

"Of course, but with most of them helping with rebuilding the city and I might've shut down your connections with them, you're alone."

"That's what you think, you and the rest of your buddies are going to enjoy prison together."

"Oh, on the contrary, my friend, you're coming with me," Mayhem put his mind control device on her as The Masked Matterhorn was under his control.

"And it's the 'Deadly Six' now!"

...

Dr. Mayhem and his newly created Deadly Six attack an armored truck filled with money.

"Now, people of Canterlot, tremble before the might of The Deadly Six!" Mayhem exclaimed. "Oh, I was right, Deadly Six has a much better ring to it. With this windfall, my experiments will no longer be held back by the lack of resources."

Meanwhile, as Monica tested on her herself, she overheard the news of The Masked Matterhorn aiding the villains.

"It's exactly what I always believed Matterhorn would become," Caleb said.

"Dad, don't talk, you're still weak," Monica replied.

"No, daughter, thanks to your hard work and sacrifice, that cure did the trick. All traces of the Matterhorn's DNA have been removed from my body. And now you must remove her from the city."

"Clearly she's the menace I always said she was."

"What are you talking about?"

"Child, a great man once said, A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds. Matterhorn has grown to be a menace, you must be the goblin to show the errors of her ways."

"It doesn't make any sense. It betrays everything Matterhorn stands for."

"It wasn't Matterhorn who saved Canterlot from the Meta-virus. It was you, Monica. You're much more than a scientist, you're a hero. And now Matterhorn has shown her true colors. It's time for Simon to finally stand up to her.

Caleb shows her suit of armor

"Do you truly want to make me proud? Stop Matterhorn."

...

"Yet another mere annoyance, get them!" Mayhem said as the police tried to fight back.

Bulldozer rammed right through the trucks allowing Matterhorn to freeze all the cops then all six made their way out there just then something caused Black Hawk to lose his haul then a cackle followed.

A figure who the rider on a gilder threw down bombs on Mayhem and Destroyer then figure was above them.

"Dr. Mayhem, your reign of terror ends here at the hands of Scarlet," She announces herself as she draws her sword.

"Well, Scarlet, I think you've clearly lacked any intellect if you could believe to a match for my Deadly Six. Destory this inbemcile!"

Destroyer fired its rockets at her while Black Hawk flew after her, Scarlet dodged them all and use her shield to block Black Hawk's Sonic Scream, then Destroyer fired lasers at her, then she threw a bomb that exploded and the robot down and she landed. Bulldozer charged at her only to a sweep kick at him, then fired a taser which shock him and he fell down.

"Don't let this clown play you for fools! Get her!" Mayhem exclaimed as Metalhorn and Matterhorn prepared to attack.

Her gilder came right at Mayhem and send him crashing into a building meanwhile, Scarlet fought off Metalhorn with her sword as Metalhorn used its lance.

"I am here to bring you all to justice!" Scarlet slice the lance then turned to Matterhorn. "And you! Traitor! You were supposed to be a hero!"

"Even so-called heroes aren't strong enough to resist my mind control."

"Mind control?"

Matterhorn came right to her and strangle her, but Scarlet did her sonic scream which wince her ears.

"Matterhorn, this isn't you, Mayhem's making you do this. I know I haven't been your biggest fan, and my dad is convived you are a menace, but if you're the person I hope you are, you'll fight it!"

Matterhorn regain her grounding and gave two quick punches then a kick to her guts, then use her magic and send her on the ledge of the blinding there were fighting.

"Twilight, please! It's me, Monica!" She retracted her mask. "Even after everything, you're still my best friend. Don't-AAH!"

Matterhorn kicked her off making her fall then Matterhorn saved her with her magic once she did, she destroyed the mind control device on her head and then started to tumble a bit.

"Matters, are you okay?" Scarlet asked then face Mayhem.

"You can fight off one of my Deadly Six, but you cannot beat us all!"

"This isn't about winning. It's about doing the right thing!"

"Fool, it's always about winning."

Just Bulldozer was about to attack a lighting blast hit him and he was cold.

"If you guys play nice then maybe shouldn't play at all!" Zapp said as she and others arrived.

"Could have said it better than me," Matterhorn said.

"You overcame my mind control? That's impossible!"

"Maybe your gadgets aren't good as your work!" Fill-Second did a raspberry at him then all of them collided.

Fill-Second dodged Destroyer's laser gunfire, then grabbed its guns, then did a flurry of kicks and punches causing it to tumble.

"This is what I get for relying on others. I'm the only one with competence! Everyone else is an idiot!" He kicked at the fallen Bulldozer then Scarlet kick him from behind.

"Watch you back, Mayhem!" Scarlet exclaimed then Mayhem paralyzed her with a beam of his own.

"Scarlet!" Saddle Rager shrieked.

"We are not finished," Mayhem prepared to fire lasers.

"Well, I am," Zapp retorted as began to draw out electrical energy.

"Fool, my weapons have biometric fuel cells meaning your power drain tricks are not going to work on me."

"Who said I was targeting you?" Zapp asked rhetoricity as she drained the power mind control device on Black Hawk and Metalhorn, Bulldozer necks then both regain consciousness.

"What happened? Crawford."

"He did this to us. This ends now."

Bulldozer, Black Hawk, and Metalhorn corner Mayhem.

"Do not betray me. I helped you achieve greatness!"

"Helped? You used us, and will pay dearly!"

All three of them chased after him.

Meanwhile

"Monica?" Matterhorn asked.

"I don't feel right," Scarlet replied. "I just wanted to be the hero."

"Trust me, kid, you are," Zapp replied as the news chopper came by.

Matterhorn dropped Monica off her at the Simon Tech building. As her daughter was resting, Caleb look into the night sky.

"You did good, my child, so brave but naive, The Masked Matterhorn and her allies have played the city for fools. But they have met their match."
