Chapter 3: A Closer Approach To A Diary

Once Fluttershy saw Rainbow Dash waiting in the living room, she decided to know why she was there. Even if she loved that her friends had the time to visit her, it didn't make any sense to her because Rainbow looked a little… Annoyed and worried. Deciding to break the ice, she started talking.

"H-Hello Rainbow, how may I help you?"She asked politely once she got close enough to Rainbow.

Rainbow, with a look that she never saw on her face before; anger, rage, sadness, all of them were in her friend's eyes, which looked right on her eyes with conflict."We've found Discord."

Her heart beat for a moment with joy and happiness before looking at how Rainbow's eyes got so… Hollow.

And it made her fear the worst. With the feeling of claws plunging into her chest, she was just able to ask one thing."What happened?" The gaze on her friend's face was enough to tell her that something completely wrong happened.

Rainbow just gave her back a simple;"Come with me." It was everything she said before going out from her house with her following Rainbow.

This… Couldn't be, right? He would not have done such a thing. He… was a good pony. Good ponies should not have gone through this, he… did not deserve to be treated like this.

He was her friend! He would not have done something that drastic!

But… The proof was just before her…

Her friend, even in another form that she did not know before, was there, wounded and completely unrecognizable to her. He adopted another form, but she was not sure of why he would have done it.

Even in that form, she was able to recognize him, even when she never saw that new form, she recognized her friend.

She would even say that they were equal in many aspects, but she never thought that she would see the Draconequus in that deplorable aspect.

"Fluttershy, that is what happened." She heard Twilight's voice as something that was far from her, she did not even turn her head to see what she said.

"Bu-But… Why?" She said meanwhile the tears fell from her eyes as she saw how the wounds of his friend were healing slowly…"Why would he used them…?"She said with a chill feeling of fear as she saw the bloody Elements of Harmony.

"He… He used them to hurt himself."Twilight said with a lump in throat, trying in vain not to start crying for what Discord just did, and also trying to not say what Fluttershy feared the most.

'Discord tried to suicide.' Those were the implied words that Twilight gave, and everypony knew it. But it did not make her feel better.

The minutes passed, but she was not able to understand what happened. Her eyes were upon her friend, her… Best friend. He was there, lying in the hospital's litter, with a little smile on his face as she heard that he was dreaming and talking with something.

He looked so peaceful, with no problems. But it just hurt her more, for the single fact that the rest of the body was covered in blood from many wounds that refused to be healed.

She looked back at the Elements that were, for what Twilight said, encrusted into Discord's body.

'He… Took them from where they were supposed to be in an attempt to use them to…' That single thought break her mind, she went out of the room where Discord was.

And a single minute after that, she started crying as she remembered the Elements Of Harmony covered with Discord's blood.

It's been three days since she discovered what Discord did to himself. But, why would he have done such a thing?

The only thing that would have answers was hidden under her couch, and even if it was wrong… She had to know why Discord did that… Monstrosity to himself.

The single memory was enough for her to almost break once again, but with a will that she never experienced before she went to take the Diary out with the purpose of having answers.

She needed them… Not for her, but for Discord's wellness, after all, why would Discord try to do that thing?

With a new strength, she opened the book where she was before the new. And so, she started her reading.

Year 1, Day 1

I was there, screaming in complete disbelief and horror for being in a place that I never saw or been in my whole life as a freak. Many minutes passed until I was able to recover enough to be (maybe) reasonable about what happened.

"Aliens." I said with a proud attitude as I put my sight on the skies, trying to appear to be someone who just found his answers.

No, what really happened is that I just kept looking at my surroundings, trying to know where the hell I was and where I could find the closest bus station.

I stayed there for almost an hour, thinking about what I should do for now, and all options led me to the same; Investigate and check out if I'm not lost in an unknown place.

With a feeling of fear, I started walking through the hills to find anywhere to shelter my ass. I kept walking for the next 3 hour, just finding some trees and a single river that I decided to follow to find a settlement. It was hard for a student that never did any kind of exercise, and it was even harder for having my backpack with me. But I kept walking, taking some rest under some trees when I felt tired.

And with shame, I rested almost 8 times under different trees… Yeah, I was not the fitbro you could find in a gym, but hey! I was at least able to walk for some time before getting tired.

It was my plan, until I saw a rustic and old way made up of rocks. Trying to make a balance of which one was a better option, I decided to take some water using two empty bottles.

With that being set, I started walking to my new destiny that was waiting for me.

I saw many unusual things on my way, for example, one of them was that the clouds did not run through the skies during the whole day I traveled on the dirt road.

Ah, I remember that feeling. Everything in that place seemed to be… Wrong, like if everything was in perfect order with no one trying to break it. And even when I did love the order, it seemed wrong, like if something was off or even… Like if someone would have taken something off.

I was running, I didn't know what the hell were those things. But they were following me. The night fell 4 hours ago, which made everything even worse because I was not able to see anything, but luckily I had my phone so I used the light to see.

I knew that it was stupid, but I had no option left because it was either getting caught earlier, or running away with a slight chance of loosing them. I made my choice.

I really tried my best, and it was worth it once they lost my trace, because I was exhausted but I knew I couldn't get rest because I had to get a longer distance between those things and me.

Those things appeared once the night fell, and they started to follow me, they looked as if they were made up of shadows and light. I know what I'm saying is… Weird, and not possible, but just keep reading.

Those things look like a fusion between a humanoid being with the characteristics of a horse. Those things scared the hell out of me because they seemed antinatural to me, they were like if someone would have taken off a part of the night sky to just make these things.

I didn't know why, but… Everything in me told me to run away, it was not the mere fear that you feel when you see something dangerous, no, all my instincts told me to get my ass out there to not face a fatal destiny.

Even now, just by reminding myself of what those things looked like… It makes me sick beyond any comprehension, and I couldn't say why I feel this way. They looked like… Humanoid horses with no difference possible, also, they fear the light if the lantern of my cellphone is a proof, they tried to avoid it, and for what I saw (and experienced) I destroyed one using the lantern. But it made the rest angry.

Ugh… Now I'm trying to relax and not make anything that could risk my life. I turned off the lantern and started to look for anything that I could eat in my backpack; the only thing I found was a burger from McDonald's. Shit, I should have forgotten eating this one for lunch, but it's the best, now I have something to eat.

Good night diary.

Year 1, Day 3.

I didn't do anything the last day, well, except if you say that meeting with LEGENDARY FUCKING CREATURES IS DOING NOTHING.

Trust me, when I met them I was completely shocked because I never imagined that I would have been in a fantasy world! Woohoo!*

Who could have said that a 17 years old guy would have ended up in a fantasy world!

Well, I gotta tell you how that happened.

I woke up that day as usual, and I kept walking the same path from yesterday, but trying to avoid and being very careful about not finding those things from yesterday.

What I did was that I tried to avoid making any noise as much as I could. It made a lot slower, but it allowed me to enjoy a little bit more the surroundings.

Even when everything felt unnatural, it was beautiful. You know, it was peaceful and… The colors were brighter than I expected, everything was green and beautiful…

I kept following the path for three hours (it is what my cellphone said, at least).

I kept the route, but some hours later, I found an… Interesting thing going on.

"I should stop for now"She said as she closed the diary with a bit of disappointment, it was possible that the diary might be a little… Harsh to read, after all, it was a different language, but even if she already knew the language, she felt completely exhausted just reading it.

Letting out a yawn she put the diary on a bookshelf to go straight to her room. Even if curiosity was eating away her thoughts, she knew better than anyone that if it would not help her, the best that she could do for now was to try her best to find out what happened to Discord.

Once she was laying on her bed, she kept thinking about the possible reasons and possible secrets that the diary was hiding in its interior, ready to be handed to her.

No, she should stop thinking about that. She will find out soon, it's just a question of when instead of how, she will discover it soon.

But for now, she should sleep and… Try to dream about one of the tea parties that Discord and she loved a lot. Yes, it would be the best for now.

'Ha, he always enjoyed eating the cups…'She thought with a slight amount of bitterness and sadness hidden behind that simple sentence.

With a last thought, she fell asleep, without knowing that there might be something more waiting for her…

She was completely shocked for what she was looking at.

She was looking at…"B-But, ho-how?" She asked as she saw her friend before her, completely shocked of what was going on, after all, he shouldn't be there.

This was Princess Luna's realm! The Dreams and Nightmares are her duty and part of her powers!

But, even so, he was right there.

Even if he was in that… Form unknown to her, she was able to see the same smile that he always had when he was at her side…

She felt how her throat closed as she saw how he got closer to her. And she also felt how a chill run through her body as he started to speak.

"Hello, Flutters."
