After being knocked out by the machine's explosion, Twilight wakes up strapped to an operating table, where a doctor appears and prepares to lobotomize her.

Then, just as the doctor prepares for the operation, Twilight wakes up to a table littered with photographs in front of her, one of which shows a large hole in the floor somewhere. Upon closer inspection, an arm of the monster of arms comes out of the hole and startles Twilight.

Sensing something strange going on, Twilight goes out into the hallway to investigate, only to find Spike standing in front of the mirror.

As Twilight approaches Spike, he makes his way down a previously non-existent corridor, which Twilight follows him down, only to be ambushed by a new large creature with a safe for a head.

Just before the creature can attack her, Twilight is teleported to some ruins on a cliff, with an ancient church in the distance.

Continuing towards the ruins, Twilight finds an unconscious Starlight on the ground, who had just gone through another moment of transformation and no sign of Sunset.

Both detectives make their way through the ruins, defeating more creatures, before reaching a stone bridge that leads to the area where the church is.

Starlight then moves forward to investigate the area, and despite Twilight's warnings, she is booby-trapped, leaving her unconscious and vulnerable to various creatures, who prepare to kill her with a nearby guillotine.

Narrowly managing to save her companion, Twilight convinces Starlight, who reveals herself to be affected by her "transformations", not to give up, before they are both attacked by another mob of creatures.

On their way out, the two detectives walk through a large gate into an abandoned town square, where they are forced to split up to walk through a maze-like graveyard.

As they proceed, Twilight is confronted by two twin monsters, though she manages to defeat them with the help of Starlight.

The two detectives then descend into what appears to be an underground dungeon with another lab, where Twilight accidentally steps on a switch, which opens a cage that releases a huge monstrous wolf, that attacks them in the courtyard near the church.

During the fight, Starlight loses her lucky hat, so Twilight is forced to retrieve it.

After managing to defeat the monstrous wolf, the two girls finally arrive at the church, where they thought they saw Sunset walk in with Fluttershy.

Twilight, reunited with Starlight again, leaves the creatures' village and heads to the church near some ruins on a cliff.
