Sunset Shimmer: Hero of Canterlot City

It was a typical night in Canterlot City as a group of thugs broke into a Sugarcube Corner.

"Alright, grab the money from the safe and register, but don't touch anything, The Cakes are my relatives," The lead thug said as a bright flash was shined by Solar.

"Let me get this straight, you rob the piggy bank, but won't touch the cookie jar. Wow, you must qualify for nephew of the year twisted divison," Solar Eclipse joked.

"Solar Eclipse? Get her!"

Two thugs ran to her and swung their crowbars at her but she dodged every swing.

"Really, get her, can you be more original."

Solar kicked the big one into the others then use her magic and pied their faces, one of the thugs rub the pie off his face and started to run but not before Solar pulled our grapple gun and fired a net to trap him. Moments later the police arrived on the scene and saw the thugs inside of a net.

"You know the drill, boys, time to book them."

"Alright, let's check the to-do list, One, stop the crime, two take pictures of me in action so I can win the Canterlot Weekly Photo Contest. Check and Check. Now for step three, head home and get the photo," Solar said to her as jump on the subway and rode the way home.

The Next Day at Cantetlot High as students were leaving to go on about their day, where the school's biggest jerk Duke Dynamite and Gary Gumswroth was up to their tricks again.

"This will teach Sunset and her dimwit friends, not to mess with the Dukemeister," Duke grinned as they had cans of water balloons.

"Look, Pinkie, 12 o'clock!" Gary spotted her eating cupcakes.

"Perfect," Duke threw one at her but missed and hit Rainbow. "Ah, crud."

"Okay, who the wiseguy to do that!?" Rainbow exclaimed then looked up at Duke. "Really, Duke, water balloons, what are you five?"

"It's called teaching you losers, what happens when your friend decides to hang with Dan."

"For the last time, Dr. J wanted Sunset to tutor him, and besides don't you dummies have something better to do you."

"Why you- eat this!" Duke threw another one only to hit at Vice-Principal Luna.

"Mr.Dynamite, to the principal's office now!"

"Oh come on!"

With Twilight and Sunset.

"How it's coming along with Solar Eclipse photos?" Twilight asked her as they walked to Stables Labs.

"Not good, the photos had earlier were screwed since the widow caught the flash," Sunset replied. "Winning that contest means I can work as their photographer."

"But why work for them, they're always putting the blame on her when it's the other person fault's. But I'm not going to stop you."

"Thanks," Then both of them walked in. "Weird where is everyone, Barton told us to be here right after school."

"I did, so we can celebrate," He replied as he, Stables, his wife, and their kid Brisk Steel came in with the cake.

"What is exactly celebrating for... holy mackerel your not wearing your metal arm!"

"Yeah, the snake formula finally kicked in."

"Doc, this is huge the formula is the cure for limb loss and amputation in the world, were talking guarantee Nobel Prize."

"Slow down, Barton, that my husband tested on himself," Ms. Stables rolled her eyes then noticed something on his husband back. "Uh, Brisk, Barton installed Space Knights 2 on the office computer."

"Space Knights 2? Sweet!" Brisk excited and went to the office.

"Close the door if going to crank the volume," She reminded him then turned to Dr. Stables. "Take off your shirt, now."

"It's cold in here, but okay," Stables took of his lab coat and snake scales was all around him. "What?"

Hours later into the night.

"The snake DNA is primitve than human, and the reptillan part in you is growing."

"It's growing, and I regresing. I can feel it changing me," Stables said then started to changed. "Please, save yourself. I'm losing control."

"The formula created new reptile sequences faster I ID them. I have no idea how to knock them down."

"Wait Barton, what if we work the other way around created a human DNA that knock the snake coat, like a noise filter on a phone."

"That's a great idea, Sunset, it could work."

"Yeah, a gene cleasenr, why I didn't see it before, my notes should have the data we need."

"So, it would any non-human DNA?" Twilight asked.

Can it remove magic, though? Sunset thought herself the Stables started to change drastically.

"I made a terrible mistake."

Stables was now full on half human half snake creature then Barton jumped on him.

"Doc stopped this isn't you!" Barton exclaimed then Stables threw him off then left the lab. "You guys finish making the gene cleanser, I follow him for a location."

"That reminds I have a test for Autoshop class, I need to as well," Sunset left as well.

When she was outside, she slipped into her costume and became her alter-ego Soalr Eclipse leaped building to building,

"Now if I was 6'5'' humaiod snake, where would I hide?" She asked then see the destruction caused by Stables leading to the subway. "Of course, underground."

Meanwhile...

"Don't panic just head for exit," Barton said as he ran forward as Stables was about to eat one of them but punched him.

"Sorry, pal, no eating on the subway."

Stables grabbed some debris and threw it right at her which she dodged it and blasted it to save Barton then trapped Stables in a bubble.

"Doctor, we have to back to lab, understand, Doctor. S can you hear me?" She asked then Stables knocked her down.

"Okay, Fang, bring it on."

Solar Ecsiplse followed him on the train along with Barton. Then Stables wrap her around with his tail then threw her down and into the passage section. Just as Stables came down, Solar Eclispe pushed him onto the top.

"Now it's on, you big gecko," She exclaimed then mind buzzed as Stables came at her with a kick knocking Solar off the train.

"So much for Plan A," Solar Ecslpise said to herself.

Back at the Stables lab...

"Were done?" Twilight asked.

"Yeah, I think so, it all squares research, there's only one way to test it, since its skin is hard we have to find a way to make it work, we have to make it drink it," Ms.Stables said.

"Maybe by asking for help from a girl who wearing sun theme suit?" Solar ask with a cool remark.

"Solar!"

"I get that reaction a lot."

"How did know we needed you?"

"Well, I saw a 6'5'' mutated snake wreaking havoc across the city, and tried to stop it, but it did not end well," Solar replied as the phone rang.

"Yes?"

It's me, Barton, he's at Canterlot Zoo.

"Tell your friend to stay clear of Fang," She heads out with the gene cleanser. "On the way."

Who was that?

"Our local hero, she'll be there soon, with me right behind them."

At the zoo, Barton backed away from a snake then jumped Solar approached from behind.

"I get that reaction as well."

"I think he went in there, with the other creepy crawlies," He pointed to repilte area.

"Good stay put, I got this.

Solar became invisible and ran right in.

"Man, this feels like a sauna. I didn't bring my trunks."

Solar dropped her invisibility then Stables came from behind drag into a lake. Solar tried to get free but instead, she close her eyes, then crocodiles came to them. Stables dropped her and engaged them. Meanwhile, Barton brought her afloat.

"Didn't I tell you to stay put?"

"Are you complaining?"

"No way, sir, look we need a strategy, Corba Boy is not in the medical mood not when enjoying his playdate... Wait a second that's it." Both headed to the Arctic room. "The fake swap was heated, but dunk a cold-blooded reptile in freezing cold water and he'll slow up."

"Right, slow him just enough to make him swallow the gene cleanser. But first, we get him here, with snake bait."

"Don't even think it."

"My choice, just try and stop me."

"I'm impressed, Barts, " Solar heads down. "Okay, prepping time, one, make sure the polar bears do take midnight dive, then find the perfect to ambush Fang,"

She sealed off the caves and then saw Barton running from Stables, and just when had him a corner, Solar Eclipse came from behind and tackled him straight into the ice box. The cold air made him slower than normal which allowed her to swallow the gene cleanser into his mouth turning it back to normal.

"Doctor? Are you okay?" Barton asked him.

"Yeah, I'm okay, thank, Eclipse."

"Anytime," Solar smiled and flew into the night sky.

Much later at Canterlot Staute at the Sqaure.

"I never asked to be Solar Eclipse, I never asked for these powers, I never knew I end with bash up a hand, getting back before security sweep. and friends who think I'm scum. Twisted fate, and where I go bad luck will happen to me and those around me will pay for my actions, the easier decision in my life," Just as Sunset was about to take it she look at her phone showing her and her friends.

"What I'm saying, I save him, Solar, not a magic wand to make the bad things go away but thanks to her, Stables was cured and Brisk Steel get his dad back. So what if no one threw a parade, Solar stays 'cause she needed it for now."

"But when the time presents itself, I will have to reveal my secret to them."
