New Girl

Wynter walked home with Sunset. They kissed each other goodbye and then Wynter went up to her room to begin practicing for the talent competition. Wynter practiced for as long as she could until her parents told her it was time for bed.

The next day at school Wynter was approached by Rarity at her locker. “Wynter darling, I have just the perfect dress for you to wear at the talent competition. All I need is for you to try it on to see if it fits and to see if it needs any other adjustments.”

“Thanks Rarity, I would love to try out the dress you made for me.” Wynter said.

During lunch Wynter met up with Rarity in the girl’s locker room to try on the dress. It was a red dress that flowed down to her feet and had one strap that fit over her right shoulder. The strap was in the shape of a rose. Knee high black leather boots completed the ensemble.

“Rarity, I love it!” Wynter said with enthusiasm.

Rarity walked around Wynter and examined the dress. “I knew you would love it darling. And I can’t seem to find any imperfections with it. I’d say you’re ready for the talent competition.”

At that moment Sunset walked into the locker room. She was taken aback when she saw Wynter in her dress. Sunset approached Wynter and smiled as she traced her finger along the dress. “You sure do look sexy in that dress, Wynter.”

Wynter smiled and covered her mouth as she let out a slight giggle. “You think I look sexy no matter what I wear.”

Sunset then put her arms on Wynter’s shoulders and wrapped them around her neck. Pulling Wynter in close, Sunset whispered into her ear “Actually, I prefer you naked.”

Rarity smiled and placed her hands on her hips. “Alright you love birds, lunch is almost over so I’m going to need that dress back. You don’t want to ruin it before the talent competition now do you?”

Wynter removed the dress and boots and gave them back to Rarity. She then changed back into her regular clothes just as the bell rang signaling that lunch was over. Wynter headed to her first class of the afternoon. Despite everything that was going on in her life Wynter still remained focused on her studies.

When Wynter got home she immediately began practicing on her violin. Wynter didn’t really care about winning the competition. What she really wanted to do was to put on a better performance than Trixie, and hopefully put that egomaniac in her place.

After practicing for a bit, Wynter relaxed by laying on her bed and listening to music. She was hoping to find inspiration for what song to play at the talent competition. After a while Wynter’s favorite song began to play. That’s when she decided that she would play that song at the competition.

A few more days went by and the day of the talent competition finally arrived. Rarity had delivered the dress that she made for Wynter to her house, and Wynter changed into it there. Wynter’s parents drove her to the school and then took their seats in the school auditorium while Wynter went backstage to await her turn.

The first few acts were actually very enjoyable, including a juggling act put on by a girl named Derpy Hooves. Soon however, it was time for Trixie to perform.

“The great and powerful Trixie welcomes you!” Trixie said as she walked onto the stage. “Ladies and gentleman, tonight the great and powerful Trixie is going to amaze you with magic the likes of which you have never seen!” Trixie then waved her wand, and sparks shot out of it. The audience applauded and Trixie took a bow.

Snips and Snails then rolled a red curtain onto the stage. “For the great and powerful Trixie’s first act, Trixie shall make herself disappear!” Trixie then stepped to the center of the stage and behind the curtain. There was a puff of smoke, and the curtain was pulled back. “Ta-da!” Trixie shouted. However, the entire audience just gasped.

Trixie still stood on stage. She had not disappeared but her clothes had, leaving Trixie standing on the stage in only her underwear. Trixie looked down at herself in shock. “EEK!” Trixie screamed. She tried to cover herself up with her hands as she ran off stage. Half of the audience broke out laughing.

Backstage Wynter covered her mouth as she giggled. Principal Celestia then announced that Wynter was next. Before heading out on stage, Sunset walked up to Wynter and whispered in her ear. “Break a leg!” Wynter walked out on stage with her violin and performed the song Titanium by David Guetta and Sia.

After Wynter was done with her performance, the audience stood up and gave her a round of applause. Wynter smiled and bowed. Wynter then went backstage where Sunset was waiting for her. Sunset embraced her in a tight hug and told her “You did great!”

“Thanks.” Wynter replied with a smile. “There are only a couple of acts left, and then the winner should be announced.”

“After that brilliant performance you gave, and the way Trixie humiliated herself, I’m sure you’re a shoe in.” Sunset said as she patted Wynter on the shoulder.

Wynter blushed. “I don’t know if I’m a shoe in. We’ll just have to wait and see.”

After the final students had performed, Principal Celestia came out to announce the winners. “In third place is Bulk Biceps for his incredible weight lifting demonstration.”

“Yeah!” Bulk shouted as he walked up on stage and accepted his ribbon.

Principal Celestia continued. “In second place is Wynter Storm for her moving violin performance.” Wynter walked out on stage and gladly accepted the ribbon.

“And first place goes to Derpy Hooves for her amazing juggling act.” Derpy rushed onto the stage and proudly took the first place ribbon.

Backstage Wynter approached Sunset. “Well, I didn’t win. But I’m still glad that I went out there and gave a great performance.”

Sunset held Wynter’s hands. “You may not have won, but you will always be number one in my heart. Also, I still want you to visit Equestria with me.”

Wynter was puzzled. “But I said I only wanted to go with you if I won.”

Sunset giggled. “I love you Wynter. And I want you to be with me no matter what. I don’t care that you didn’t win, because together we are unbeatable.”

Wynter was incredibly moved by Sunset’s words. She agreed to go to Equestria with her, and then they kissed passionately.
