Drained Diamonds
Johto. The Diamond Domain. Day.
The Diamond Domain.
Daybreaker had arrived here, here to settle things with Diancie and everyone there. The Heart Diamond and its light could not be ignored at all as well as the light from Diance in general. Daybreaker had not forgotten how greatly Diancie had crippled Necrozma too.
Diancie gasped in fear at the sight of the Solar Empire, having already witnessed the damage it had caused once before. "This is terrible! How did she find us again?!" Her Carbink Servant Merrick started panicking.
"We made sure to conceal it from her the next time she shows up. But somehow, she's managed to find us regardless!" Bort shouted. The sound of the Solar Sword approaching was getting louder and louder.
Quickly, Diancie and all the Carbink would try cutting off the entrance at all costs, mainly by using diamonds. Diancie's Diamonds were by far the strongest so they had to be used to their fullest potential.
With her arms up while also tapping into the power of the Heart Diamond that resides within the Diamond Domain, Diancie began forming a barrier to prevent the Solar Sword from entering.
"Come forth, Diamond Barrier! With the power of the Heart Diamond, protect us from harm!"
The cave was filled with bright pink light as the barrier was starting to form, but then a loud thud could be heard. Daybreaker's forces had already arrived and were already invading the Diamond Domain.
They stood before the Diamond Barrier, knowing how fortified it was. Light Beams were unleashed upon it, attempting to shatter the barrier, but its strength was truly stupendous. It wasn't going to go down so easily.
The beams were deflected, hitting the Carbink's creations and destroying them. The force of the barrier was overwhelming. "There! It's done!"
Diancie shouted as the barrier was now complete. No matter what, the light beams would not break through. Some would even bounce off. Daybreaker would get out of her ship, prompting her forces to stop firing.
Daybreaker immediately brought out Necrozma to deal with this issue. After all, it was these same diamonds that crippled Necrozma for a while and Daybreaker thought it would be rather cathartic for him to destroy them and get his revenge.
"Necrozma, use Photon Geyser." Daybreaker said calmly. Necrozma would raise his arms as the black and red crystals started appearing all around his body. Once enough had appeared, he would unleash the Photon Geyser, sending the massive energy beam at the Diamond Domain.
A powerful beam would crash against the Diamond Domain, causing a great impact and a spectacular flare. The barrier would resist, not cracking under the immense pressure. "How is the Diamond Domain able to resist the attack of the Black Beast?! This can't be happening!" Diance cried out.
The beam would continue to collide with the Diamond Domain, and then, a massive shockwave erupted, causing a huge explosion. The blast was so strong, it shook the entire Diamond Domain, making all the Carbinks fall back and lose their footing.
Daybreaker would watch with glee as the barrier cracked under the pressure. The barrier would then shatter, allowing Daybreaker to charge into the Diamond Domain, ready to seize it.
"Morning, Princess Diancie. We meet again." Daybreaker greeted, her eyes glowing within the dust cloud. The Solar Soldiers would make their way into the Diamond Domain, pointing their spears at the Carbink. "You managed to upset Necrozma for a while. You robbed him of the light from the Heart Diamond and even rendered him immobile for a little while. Naturally, Necrozma is feeling rather vindictive and plan to let him vent it all out."
Instantly, Necrozma flew forward, his claws reaching out to the Carbink. The Carbink attempted fleeing, only for Necroza to grab ahold of one of them with ease. The energy within Carbink would be drained rapidly as all of them started screaming in fear.
After rapidly draining one Carbink, Necrozma went onto the next at high speeds, targeting as many as he could here, which was all of them. He was going to make sure they all felt his pain.
"No! Don't hurt the Carbink!" Diancie cried out, but it was too late. They were being drained one by one, their energy being taken from them.
"Don't worry, Diancie. He'll stop once they're all drained, which thankfully, doesn't take too long."
"Carbiiiinkk!!"
The Carbink screamed and shouted as they tried to run away, but they were all drained by Necrozma at a rapid pace. Their screams were so loud, the entire cave could hear it.
Necrozma was like a predator that was hunting down its prey, attacking and draining them. Even the ones that had hid inside the Diamond Domain were drained without mercy. The entire cave was filled with screams.
It was an awful sight to see.
Diancie could only watch in horror as her own subjects were being drained by the Black Beast. Any Carbink that tried retaliating would find their attacks either deflected or overpowered by Necrozma. Diancie, Merrick and Bort moved as fast as they could to the location of the Heart Diamond, going through every system in this cave.
"Princess, hurry! If you can make Necrozma immobile once, you can do it again! And even cover all those ships in diam-" Before Merrick could finish, a violent explosion burst through the walls near them, breaking their momentum.
"Merrick! Bort!" She called out to the two Carbink. They would attempt to get up, only for a Solar Soldier's boot to slam them right back onto the ground, forcing them to stay there.
"P-Princess!"
"We're fine, Princess Diancie! Just go before you lose your chance!" Merrick shouted as he and Bort attempted to fight the Solar Soldiers, using their diamond powers to defend their queen.
"Go, your Majesty!" Bort cried out.
"But!"
"GO!!" They shouted as Daybreaker walked closer to them, her eyes glowing brightly.
"Alright." She sighed in defeat, knowing that they would want her to leave. Diancie would pick herself up as her arms shook a bit. "Please, hold on!"
Daybreaker would stop, noticing a small trail of dust going in a specific direction. She knew where the Heart Diamond was located, so there was no need to chase after the princess.
She would simply let her do what she wanted while Necrozma dealt with the rest of the Carbink. She was already close enough, and it wasn't like they could stop her.
As for Diancie, she would run through the tunnels, following the path she knew by heart. "I can't let them down!" She muttered, running faster, pushing her body to the limit.
Merrick and Bort would manage to distance themselves from the soldiers, immediately using Power Gem. However, these sparkling rays were immediately caught by Necrozma, who nullified them and absorbed the power, healing himself.
The Prism Pokemon would fly towards the two Carbinks, who would try to defend their Diamond Domain and its Heart Diamond at any cost. Try as they might they couldn't stop Necozma as both of them would be grabbed by the Psychic-Type. They cried out as they were quickly drained.
Diancie's eyes would water as she was hearing her subjects' screams of pain, unable to ignore the sounds. She tried her best to block it out and focus on getting to the Heart Diamond.
By now, a majority of the Carbinkhave lost their energy, completely drained and unable to move at all. Entire Carbinks were scatted across the Diamond Domain, immobile and unconscious, drained by Necrozma.
Necrozma could feel himself improving by each passing second, growing more and more in strength. Then, another beam would be fired, this time aimed at the centre of the cave.
A huge explosion would occur as a massive shockwave was released. This would send the Carbink and all the Solar Soldiers flying back. A large dust cloud would form, obscuring their vision, which would be the perfect chance for Diancie to reach the Heart Diamond.
The Jewel Pokemon would fly to the center of the cave, her hands touching the Heart Diamond. The crystal responded to this sudden conflict, radiating a calming aura. Now was the best time to use its power to save all of her subjects.
Diancie would begin tapping into the Heart Diamond's power. She was going to use the same move that made Necrozma immobile the first time but to a greater level. This time, she wanted to make sure that all of Daybreaker's forces were restrained. The diamond would glow brighter, preparing to unleash its power.
"I've got you this time, Princess." A voice would call out. Diancie's eyes would widen as she turned around, seeing Daybreaker approaching her. "Tracking you down was always going to be easy. Necrozma's ability to sense strong forms of light never fails. It was the same way last time, and now it's the same way again."
"You...!" Diancie tried to muster some anger, instantly tapping into her Mega Evolution. Her body was encased in a glorious light as she entered her Mega Evolved form.
"You don't scare me." Diancie told the Solar Queen as she would point her hands at her. "I will never forgive you for the crimes you have committed against my subjects!"
"Ooh...Here I thought you were always this gentle and calm ruler. Well, now that you're this riled up, show me if you can save your domain." Daybreaker gladly welcomed Diancie to try, but now without something to match her Mega Evolution. With her horn glowing, Daybreaker had summoned Gardevoir.
Gardevoir would stand in front of her fellow Fairy-Type, smirking deviously at her. As soon as she emerged, Daybreaker unveiled the Gardevoirite, ready to use it. But unlike with Celestia, she wasn't about to tap into the Harmony Phenomenon and fuse with Gardevoir. Instead, she would just use the natural capability of the Mega Stone.
Mega Evolution.
Gardevoir was enveloped in a radiant light as well, undergoing her transformation. With the Keystone and the Mega Stone, Gardevoir was immediately Mega Evolved, entering her Mega Form. The power was so overwhelming, it blew away the dust, letting the light radiate from the two of them.
"Do your best to protect the Diamond Domain and the Heart Diamond." Daybreaker taunted. "Or I'm afraid, we'll just have to go with option two."
"I won't let you lay a hoof on the Heart Diamond!" Diancie would unleash her signature move, Diamond Storm. A powerful move with heavy and beautiful diamonds behind it. However, Daybreaker's Gardevoir would quickly create a Psychic Barrier to block the attack. The barrier was so strong, the Diamond Storm would be rendered useless as they would just bounce off of it.
"Moonblast." Daybreaker ordered. Gardevoir held both hands out, unleashing a large sphere powered by the Moon. The attack was so powerful, it would push Diancie back. The Heart Diamond would start to glow.
Diancie would then use Stone Edge, crossing her arms together and summoning massive crystals from underneath Gardevoir. Gardevoir would swiftly evade these rising crystals, moving like a serpentine.
Diancie gasped, desperately unleashing more stones at her opponent, but to no avail. "Shadow Ball." With that order, Gardevoir held one hand out, conjuring a blob of shadows.
It was fired towards Diancie, and it would explode upon impact.
The Jewel Pokemon was sent flying, her back hitting the diamond walls. She groaned in pain, slowly looking up to see Gardevoir preparing another Shadow Ball. Quickly, she managed to fly out of the way, narrowly avoding the Shadow Ball.
She would then counter with Diamond Storm, but these would be destroyed by Gardevoir's Psychic. "Ice Beam." Gardevoir unleashed a beam of ice at Diancie, but the latter managed to dodge by flying up.
However, she would soon be grabbed by Gardevoir's Psychic power and was thrown right into the ground. "Now! Ice Beam!" Gardevoir hled both arms out, unleashing a chilling beam of ice. The ice would hit Diancie, causing her to crash into the diamond floor. She groaned, getting up. Gardevoir was relentless, unleashing a barrage of Ice Beams, which would cause her to be hit.
The ice was cold, so much that it was stinging her body. Diancie just barely managed to fly away, trying to regain her composure, but Gardevoir would follow suit. "You're not getting away from me that easily, Your Highness."
Once more, Diancie would unleash a Diamond Storm at Gardevoir, who would just deflect them with a Psychic Wave. The Psychic-Type would then summon multiple spheres of Shadow Balls, firing them at Diancie, which she would narrowly avoid.
Gardevoir cackled, throwing more and more of them, gradually breaking down the walls of the Diamond Domain. Diancie would use Psyshock, summoning three thick masses of energy to block the Shadow Balls.
The two would engage in a heated battle, each of them using their moves to try and overwhelm the other. Neither one of them was going to back down, and neither one of them was going to let the other have the advantage.
"I've got you now!" Gardevoir grinned, managing to use Psychic to rip out a chunk of rocks from the walls, smashing them against Diancie from both sides.
She was then hit by the rocks, her body aching. Gardevoir would attempt it again, moving the rocks back before sending them towards Diancie once more. She was struck again, her body in immense pain. Gardevoir would go for another one, only for Diancie to catch these two rocks, straining herself to stop them from hitting her.
She grunted as the rocks would begin crushing her, pushing her back. But, with a determined look, Diancie would manage to summon the strength, lifting the rocks with her own strength. After doing so, Diancie would use Diamond Storm while holding the rocks, shattering them into pieces. But she did more than just shatter them. The rocks would scatter, along with all the diamonds, and the Diamond Storm would pierce through Gardevoir, knocking her down.
Finally, Diancie got a hit in and she wasn't about to waste this opportunity. Enraged, Diancie would keep up the pressure, unloading repeated Diamond Storms onto Gardevoir while she was on the ground, hitting her relentlessly.
The diamond storm would continue hitting her, not letting her get up. Gardevoir groaned as she was actually feeling the pressure of these diamonds raining down on her. The ferocity of these attacks were so intense that a hole was forming underneath her.
"Oh." Daybreaker's eyes widened a bit seeing Diancie make somewhat of a turnaround. Diancie would then multiply the amount of Diamonds, eventually making some of them reach Daybreaker.
Daybreaker's flaming aura would protect her, the diamonds unable to make contact. Diancie would then raised her arms up, gathering all of her Diamonds into a single point. Gardevoir would finally have some time to recover, but the attack was not yet over.
"Urgh...!" She groaned, looking up to see a mass of diamonds above Diancie. Her eyes widened. Diancie bellowed as she would unleash a large and powerful wave of diamonds at her foe.
Gardevoir would attempt to dodge, but the Diamond Storm would be too quick. She was hit by the large mass of diamonds, being sent back as her body would slam against the wall.
"W-Wait!" She screamed, her body being crushed by the weight of the attack. Diancie would unleash one final blast of Diamond Storm, the diamonds piling onto Gardevoir and forming a large, glittering, diamond-shaped boulder. Daybreaker's eyes widened a bit as even she had to put up some defences for this one.
Gardevoir was pinned by the pile of diamonds, her entire body trapped. Diancie would then unleash another Diamond Storm, hitting the pile of diamonds on top of Gardevoir, creating a second layer, and then a third.
This process would continue for a while, creating a diamond cage with the psychic type trapped inside.
"Hah..." Diancie sighed as her arms were seen trembling from how much power she had used. She gazed at he trembling arms, seeing them vibrate as she was now feeling exhausted. "Ngh..." The Jewel Pokemon groaned at the pain her arms were feeling.
Her arms felt numb, and her chest was beating fast. The Diamond Princess had spent a lot of her energy and she would soon be drained. "Well done." Daybreaker applauded. "It seems you're strong on your own after all. You can definitely hold your own, Princess."
"My arms...!" Diancie whimpered, attempting to gather the power within her. However, the pink gem's entire body was trembling. It was clear she had exhausted herself and was running on fumes.
"Sadly, this is as far as you. Gardevoir."
Bursting out of the rocks was an enraged Gardevoir. Her body had taken some considerable damage and her eyes were filled with rage. "Why you...! You just got lucky, that's all!"
"Finish it. Hyper Beam." Daybreaker ordered. Gardevoir held her hands out as a large sphere formed. The sphere would then be fired at the exhausted princess, who would still try and fight back. With all of her remaining might, Diancie would use Diamond Storm, but the power was too weak. The diamonds would not hit Gardevoir and would instead, be sucked into the Hyper Beam.
With her arms still trembling, Diancie would not have the power to dodge or defend herself. "Diamond Domain. Everyone I'm so sorry..."
The attack would hit the exhausted princess, sending her flying back. Her body was in so much pain, it was unbearable. After a volatile explosion went off, blowing a huge chunk of the Diamond Domain apart, the dust would clear.
Diancie would be seen lying on the floor, unconscious and defeated. Daybreaker stood over the Jewel Pokemon, looking down at her with a cold expression. "Truth is...You were powerful, no doubt. But you lost the same way I defeated Celestia. The usage of Fairy Matter goes a long way."
The Solar Queen then turned her attention to the Heart Diamond, seeing how vulnerable it was now that there was no one left to defend it. And Necrozma knew this. He barged through the walls, tracking down the immense light. There it was. The Heart Diamond. But before he could go up to it, Necrozma would look at Diancie, sensing a lot of light from her as well.
Sensing this, he went to Diancie first, aiming to take her energy before targeting the Heart Diamond's. His claws would go into the jewel's body, draining her energy. Diancie's body began losing its glow as her strength was being taken from her.
Diancie had a massive amount of energy within her, greatly feeding Necrozma. After completely draining Diancie, he would toss her aside now that he no longer needed her energy.
Now, the Heart Diamond. The very thing that kept this whole domain stable. The Prism Pokemon would go up to the large diamond. His claws instantly gripped onto it, ready to absorb the vast amounts of light that came from the heart.
But just as Necrozma was about to tap into the Heart Diamond, he felt a small amount of pain in his head. His mind was being probed, causing him to grunt and groan.
He could feel a mystical presence entering his mind. It was small, but it was powerful enough to cause some discomfort. He didn't know who was responsible, and he didn't care. The Black Beast's eyes would glow brightly as the power of Light was being taken from the Heart Diamond. With its light being taken away so rapidly, the entire domain began trembling, losing its stability.
None of the Carbink were conscious to see this occur. They wouldn't witness their home come apart and neither would Diancie. Every bit of it was gone as the Heart Diamond would shatter once its final piece of energy had been taken from it.
The Diamond Domain was no more.
As for how much of a boost this gave Necrozma, it was gargantuan.
A sudden burst of light erupted, forcing Daybreaker to block her eyes. When the light subsided, she saw an even stronger Necrozma, now glowing brighter and having his power increased significantly. But as always, due to the tremendous amount of light that he has taken, he would start having the instinct to go rogue, attacking whoever is in his way. That was the usual major drawback when Necrozma absorbs a massive light source.
However, thanks to the Fairy Matter, he would not lose control. Daybreaker knew what she had to do next. "Brilliant! Even though the energy is so stellar, Necrozma is completely calm. All thanks to the Fairy Matter."
"Hmph." Gardevoir crossed her arms, reverting to her original form. "That Diancie could've been a lot of trouble if it wasn't for all that Fairy Matter I used. But I've been using a lot of it recently. I'd better not run out."
"I promise you, you won't. Right now, we have to keep the momentum going. This is a large steal for Necrozma and he's far stronger than what he was seconds ago. I believe now, we should go for Lunala and soon, Solgaleo."
Daybreaker was now ready to go straight for Lunala and eventually, Solgaleo. Of course, she would look out for the Legendary Pokemon that were hunting her down, being more than willing to take their energy as well. Necrozma was feeling good about himself, so she wished to keep that momentum going.
Daybreaker's forces would soon depart from the Diamond Domain, which was nothing more than a ruined land with all of its inhabitants, save for a few, completely drained and unconscious. Once they left, Diancie's hand would twitch as she made a light grunt. Her body was in pain, but her will was even stronger. She couldn't move, but the princess managed to open her eyes.
She saw her broken kingdom and its ruined state, her eyes tearing up at the sight of her subjects, unconscious. She looked at her arms, still seeing how badly they were trembling.
The Jewel Pokemon would pick up the unconscious Merrick and Bort. The cries of Diancie had begun as she felt that she failed at her job as a princess. She tried so hard to protect her home and subjects, only to have it all fall apart.
The princess couldn't even move her limbs further than this, not enough to go and pick up the others.
"Everyone...I'm sorry...I'm so sorry..." Diancie's eyes watered up. She was feeling nothing but grief. She had never experienced something so horrible before. It was a total loss. "What am I supposed to do...?"
But as she sat there, absolutely devasted, her minutes of crying were soon interrupted by someone else. Behind her, someone was approaching, moving past all of this rubble. The Jewel Pokemon sniffled before turning her hed to the figure behind her. It was none other than one of the Legendary Beasts. Suicune to be exact.
Diancie was confused upon seeing this Pokemon present here. Suicune looked down at her, not uttering a word. "You...You're... Suicune then looked up at the sky, seeing the Solar Sword taking flight. Its eyes narrowed, knowing that the individual on that ship was responsible for all the trouble.
Suicune would then look over at the rubble, seeing a bunch of the unconscious Carbinks. With its nose, it would pick them up and place them beside Diancie, who was quite surprised to see this. She had no idea why Suicune was doing this. A nervous Diancie wasn't sure what Suicune was planning to do with her or her subjects.
Suicune would then let out a powerful howl into the sky. From above, two other Legendary Pokemon would arrive. Articuno and Zapdos. And below them, Raikou and Entei arrived, obviously tagging along with Suicune.
Diancie had no clue why they were here. These were Pokemon she had never seen before, but she would recognize Suicune as the Beast of Water. She had no idea why these Pokemon had come here, but what she did know was that they weren't here to cause trouble.
These Legendary Pokemon would set their eyes onto the Solar Sword, knowing that they had to pursue it. They would also turn their attention to Diancie and her subjects, knowing that they were in bad shape.
With no time to waste, they would use their powers to help the ones in need.
Articuno and Zapdos would combine their powers, unleashing an intense blizzard at the Carbinks, and Diancie, instantly freezing them. Raikou would unleash bolts of lightning, reviving the frozen Carbinks. Suicune would then summon water to create a stream, which would carry the revived and healthy Carbinks over to their princess.
Diancie's eyes widened, seeing the Carbinks floating right to her, looking healthy and awake. Their eyes would widen as well, seeing the state of their land. The Carbinks would gather around their princess, looking at her for answers.
"Oh, Princess Diancie!" One of the Carbink cried, worried about his princess. "Are you alright? What happened?"
"Did the intruder get to the Heart Diamond?" Another one asked, concerned. "What about the rest of the Domain? Is it all in ruin?"
The Jewel Pokemon would look at them with a solemn face, seeing them worry about her. She would look over her shoulder, seeing the Legendary Beasts prepare to leave. "Wait..."
"Princess, what are we supposed to do? Where are we supposed to go now?" One of the Carbinks would ask. "Our home is a wreck. Our land is a complete wasteland. What's going to happen now?"
"Please, tell us what we're supposed to do?" Diancie looked to the Legendary Birds and Beasts for help.
Suicune would give her an answer. It let out a light cry before running off, following the Legendary Birds and Legendary Beasts. Diancie understood Suicune's message clearly. It asked her to do one thing only. The only thing she could do right now. Diancie wiped her tears before watching her fellow Legendary Pokemon depart, chasing down the Solar Sword.
As the journey continues.
