My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Onwards to the Final Confrontation
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUniverse 5. Canterlot. Day.
Princess Fluttershy was hit. Due to Sunrise Sparkle landing a sneak attack, the Princess of this Universe was hit, receiving a heavy blow to her chest that downed her, her crown falling to the side.
"Princess Fluttershy!" Many cried out as they witnessed Princess Fluttershy lay on the ground, her body feeling a searing pain
Sunrise Sparkle laughed evilly, enjoying their despair. She looked down at Princess Fluttershy with a smirk on her face. "To think you were capable of such a feat. Now look at you. You used far too much magic for that spell."
"What is your problem?!" Twilight shouted angrily. "How could you be so cruel?!"
"Those that oppose the Solar Empir get no sympathy from me. I lost any form of sympathy since it was no longer neccessary." Sunrise Sparkle replied before looking at her counterpart. "Now then...let's make this quick, shall we? Twilight Sparkle."
Twilight glared at Sunrise Sparkle with such anger. "No mercy. No sympathy. I hate how my variants can sometimes end up like this...It affects me at times.
Sunrise Sparkle smiled at this, getting excited. "Don't. It's pointless to be affected by that. It just makes you even weaker." Her horn glowed with a golden aura. Her eyes shined brightly as the entire area seemed to glow along with it.
"Kh..." Twilight narrowed her eyes, getting ready to fight back. "We'll see about that." Twilight's eyes started glowing, creating a blue aura around her horn. The two auras clashed, creating sparks that lit up the air. The wind began to pick up, blowing around the area.
"You." Sunrise Sparkle pointed her hoof at Solgaleo. "You're not going to avoid us a second time. There won't be nny running across universes at all. You'll soon become food for Necrozma and bring our mission to a near-end."
"We won't let you!" Twilight snarled before feeling a powerful twitch in her body. "Ngh..."
"The Link Union...took so much out of all of us. I still can't feel my arms." Lana said, looking at her trembling arms. Everyone who took part in the Link Union were feeling the after-effects of it.
"Hmph. So, you're all too weak to do all that much? Music to my ears. This'll make things so much easier!" Sunrise boasted, but she soon came to realize that was in the same boat. Her body would twitch as her grin quickly faded. "Gah...!" Despite Daybreaker pushing back against the Link Union with her Counter Spell, the effects were still felt by Sunrise as well.
"Heh. Same to you..." Twilight snickered as they were both feeling a bit weak, but had enough magic left to keep going.
"Oh, you're so annoying!" Sunrise growled. "Then let's settle this here! All ships come through!"
The ships were also feeling the effects even after being freed, but they could still move and take action as another gateway would form in the air, bringing some Solar Empire ships through.
"Hang in there, Princess! Are you o-" But as soon as Mallow went to touch Princess Fluttershy, she would feel her hands receive a sharp burn, causing her to jolt back. "Kyah!" Just like how Princess Celestia currently was, Princess Fluttershy now had a blazing pain around her body, making her dangerous to touch. "This heat..."
"Mngh..." Princess Fluttershy groaned before looking at all of them with weak eyes. "All of you. Leave this universe as soon as possible...Use the Travel Sphere I have..." Princess Fluttershy coughed a bit as her voice was starting to fade away. "It should still work."
"But Princess! Your body heat! It's so tremendous! If we go now, we'll be leaving you in this state!" An Aether Foundation Employee uttered in horror.
Princess Fluttershy weakly smiled at them, trying to keep her strength up. "I'll be fine. You don't need to worry about me. Even if brief, we all managed to weaken them, didn't we? That will buy you all a good amount of time. Use that to your advantage..."
At that moment, the ships began firing at the city, destroying any buildings they could. The residents of this Universe's Canterlot started screaming as light beams struck their homes, setting them ablaze. Some ships would fly down to ground level, aiming to ruin this world. Flames started spreading fast as the ponies were also weak due to helping with the Link Union spell.
They were to be captured and made into Light Particles for Necrozma like so many. And the same goes for the people and Pokemon that found themselves in this Universe as well.
"You all have to leave right away." Princess Fluttershy managed to get up, using her magic to put a cooling aura around herself to temporarily hold back the heat. "I'll do my best one more time and give you the time you need to escape. Please...you must go while you can."
"You are not leaving! No one is!" Sunrise Sparkle shouted with absolute defiance at that possibility. "Rain down on their location at once!"
As more ships were passing through the gateway, launching attacks in their direction. Everyone gasped at the sight of the light beams coming their way, only for Twilight to promptly put up a large shield wall made out of magic. This shield blocked the attack completely, protecting everyone from harm.
However, with Twilight's magic being used for the Link Union earlier, she could not keep this up for long. In fact, throughout the entire conflict so far, Twilight has been using so much magic in various situations, expending more and more of her strength and relying on Rift Reserves to keep herself energized, but as limitless as that may be, it still needs time to replenish after use.
And right now, she was tired, having a hard time keeping this shield up against the barrage of attacks that came her way.
"Khhh! E-Eve! Psychic!" She stuttered.
"Esp!" Espeon at least had the strength to do more, using Psychic to push the massive Magic Wall forward so that it would reflect the beams of light. By pushing the Magic Wall, the light beams were reflected or even deflected back at the ships, damaging them greatly.
"This is just a waste of our time." Sunrise Sparkle said with some annoyance. "We'll get rid of you all first!" Sunrise Sparkle's eyes started glowing with deep golden light. A powerful beam shot from her eyes, colliding with the wall, creating a fearsome explosion. The impact caused Twilight's body to tremble as she felt the full force of it. Her legs began to shake and sweat started rolling down her face. The shield started cracking as more of the lasers hit it.
"Nngh!" Twilight's body was tiring out, unable to handle all of this. As soon as she tried to push back, Sunrise Sparkle pushed back harder, forcing Twilight hooves to scrape across the ground, slowly losing the battle.
Sunrise Sparkle smiled wickedly as she continued attacking relentlessly. "Hehehe...You won't last long like this. So weak! It's amazing how you were able to stop us before, but now...you're nothing."
"Ughh!" Twilight cried out as she was pushed back further, feeling the strain on her body increasing.
"Pika....Chuuuu!" Leaping high into the air, even higher than the Magic Wall was Pikachu, who would use Thunderbolt for support. 100,000 volts came flying out of his body, targeting Sunrise Sparkle.
"!" Sunrise looked up to see the blast of lightning coming her way, but because even she was still a bit weakened, she could not dodge this in time. Her horn stopped glowing as the beam from her eyes disappeared. The attack landed, shocking Sunrise Sparkle directly.
"Raaaagh!" She shrieked in pain as the electricity coursed through her body, making it convulse wildly.
"Hah..." Twilight let go of the magic wall, collapsing onto the ground as well. She was breathing heavily, trying to catch her breath. Her entire body was aching, especially her head, which felt like it was going to split open.
"Pika!" Pikachu rushed over to her, helping her up. "Pika! Pikachu?!" He asked, concerned about her health.
"Yeah..." Twilight replied, looking at him with tired eyes. "I'm okay. It's just been a long day for all of us. We've been at this since the morning...and we're not even done yet. All we have to do now is get Solgaleo away from here."
Speaking of Solgaleo, he most certainly had a lot of energy to spare as he would leap over everyone else, jumping into the fray. Twilight and Pikachu look up to see the Sunne Pokemon approaching the ships, ready to bring them down.
Solgaleo would use Sunstreel Strike, throwing his body at them all to bring these ships down and any more that would try and pass through the gateway. The ships were forced to put up shields against this incoming attack as Solgaleo rammed his body into each one, smashing right through their hulls.
Solgaleo growled as he smashed his body into one ship after another. His rage fueled his strength, allowing him to crash through multiple shields simultaneously. The ships were unable to withstand such an assault, failing to function from the sheer force behind his attacks.
The ships went on the offensive, firing at Solgaleo with concentrated beams of light. These light beams were nothing to scoff at as they were powerful enough to harm Solgaleo. As they were unloaded on him, the Sunne Pokemon roared, trying to hold them back.
Twilight saw the danger he was in and did what she could. "Eve! Help Nebby!" Espeon jumped onto the scene, using Psychic to aid Solgaleo.
"Esp!" Espeon used her Dazzling Gleam to release multiple rainbow rays to intercept the beams, giving Solgaleo room to breathe. "Espe!" She cried out, looking at him.
But she wasn't the only one assisting. Intercepting another one of those light beams would Espeon's friends. Braviary, Milotic, Slurpuff and Raboot respectively.
"Twilight! We gotta go! There's already a gateway open!" Rainbow Dash called out to Twilight, turning her attention to the gateway that had been opened up by Professor Kukui. It would lead back to Universe 1, but so many were weakened to run through right away, meaning getting them all back to their Universe while avoiding this would be a disgustingly large task.
"But they can't all enter!" Rarity pointed out. "There's too many of them and we're all still recovering!"
"Not to mention the entire place is burning up!" Pinkie Pie said, looking around to see the flames spreading across this world's Canterlot.
"All of you. Just go." Princess Fluttershy walked past them all. "I'll do what I can to get you all through that gateway."
"But you're still so injured, Princess!" Fluttershy said to her variant with great worry, seeing the burn mark on her chest. "You don't have to push yourself anymore."
Princess Fluttershy looked back at her with a small smile. "We are the same. And we are not. But if there's one thing I've learned, it's that we both care for the wellbeing of those close to us."
Fluttershy looked at Princess Fluttershy with awe. "That's...very true..."
"So, please. I'm sure I'll be okay. And you should be too." Princess Fluttershy told her before looking at Sunrise Sparkle. "And you won't get away with this. Not without paying the price. Even though I can't defeat you, I know for a fact everyone else will succeed."
With her eyes Princess Fluttershy, even in her condition, was about to use all of her magic in one go, to perform a spell of amazing proportions. One that would ensure everyone would get out safely. All the Travel Spheres that were found in her castle would feel her magic from this distance, all of them rumbling.
Princess Fluttershy's rising Magil Aura looked like two butterfly wings the way they expanded. They looked incredibly powerful as the aura itself burned with such a beautiful pink light that seemed to spread across the sky, making it shine brightly.
All of the Travel Spheres were brought over, being activated by Princess Fluttershy's magic. By doing so, all of them would shoot out cosmic beams that would meet with the gateway that Kukui already opened up. The gateway grew to colossal proportions, making it big enough for all of them to fit through.
Everyone was surprised to see this happen, knowing the sheer power and energy needed to do this. But the size of it was not what mattered. It was making sure every single resident of Alola could enter as swiftly as possible. And the way that was done was by Princess Fluttershy moving it. Sunrise Sparkle recovered, seeing what Princess Fluttershy was up to.
With the gateway being moved, it sped up, grabbing everyone it would move by. Instead of walking inside as usual, the people of Alola were being grabbed by the gateway and sent through to make it far quicker. It was similar to how a vacuum would work, sucking them in.
And there was no way for the ships to stop this in time. Even though they did fire at it, the Cosmic Energy and the speed the gateway was moving at would deflect their shots. Soon, the gateway moved at light speeds, catching anyone and everyone on the surface.
Sunrise Sparkle would try stopping this, firing at Princess Fluttershy instead as the gateway got closer. And right as it was about to absorb those that remained, Princess Fluttershy received another burning attack on her chest, causing her to scream out in pain as her magic focus was broken. However, she succeeded regardless, getting everyone from Alola and Twilight's friends out of here as they were pulled into the gateway.
With that, the gateway would vanish from existence, everyone safely away from here. "I did it..." Princess Fluttershy had a satisfied smile on her face as she fell over once more, her pain increasing. "I wish I could've sent my subjects through as well...but that's it for me..."
"Drat! After them! Track down Solgaleo's presence to find them!" Sunrise Sparkle called it quits here and immediately focused on chasing them down. It was time for the ships to leave. However, before they could go. One more gateway had opened.
It opened up far higher than the rest and it was bigger. Bigger than any gateway that has appeared so far. The sky had become a void, pitch-black nothingness and the only thing that was left behind was a gigantic gateway. The gateway itself seemed to be made out of pure light, glowing so brightly.
And appearing from it was none other than Daybreaker along with Necrozma. They were floating down to the ground, coming down to this world to help Sunrise Sparkle finish what she started. "Hmph."
"Y-Your Majesty!" Sunrise Sparkle gasped while Princess Fluttershy grunted, looking up. "I assume you've dealt with Zekrom?"
"Zekrom was pushed back momentarily, but he'll be back regardless. Solgaleo was here...but we were too late." Daybreaker narrowed her eyes at Princess Fluttershy. "We'll be going after them right away. The Solar Sword's repairs will be solved rather soon and this time, there won't be any more running. Our next encounter will be our last."
"Mngh..." Princess Fluttershy tried getting up, but the pain was far too large.
"Fluttershy." Daybreaker spoke to her her fellow alicorn. "A good attempt, but you're only delaying the inevitable. Watch as Necrozma devours your entire Universe. Do it." Daybreaker gave the order.
Necrozma's body began to glow with blinding light. This light grew in strength and power. It expanded around the area, engulfing everything in its path. As the light moved forward, the air itself seemed to disappear, leaving only empty space behind. All living things were consumed by this light, becoming nothing more than particles of energy.
The planet beneath their hooves was the first to fall. Its energy and inhabitants were drawn inexorably towards Necrozma, their forms unravelling into streams of light before vanishing entirely. The luminescence continued its relentless expansion, devouring every planet in the solar system, swallowing them whole as if they were mere morsels.
And then, it reached beyond, consuming one star system after another. Each star, once a beacon of life and hope, flickered and died as its light was siphoned away. The very fabric of the cosmos seemed to tremble as galaxies were dismantled, their stars extinguished in the blink of an eye.
Princess Fluttershy's body would gravitate towards Necrozma as well. She was the last beacon of life in Universe 5. As she was drawn into Necrozma’s embrace, her body dissolved into pure energy, merging with the Prism Pokémon's blinding core.
With her absorption, the final spark of Universe 5 was snuffed out. The once-vibrant universe was no more, completely consumed by Necrozma’s insatiable hunger. A Universe with no light.
Everyone had been brought back to Universe 1, but instead of appearing at Alola, they found themselves at a land near Alola and its outskirts. All of them fell over due to how fast the gateway pulled them in, their bodies trembling as they started groaning in pain.
"Uuuughh...That was awful..." Mallow whined as she held her head.
"My head hurts so much..." Kiawe grunted, rubbing her temples.
"Where are we? This isn't Alola..." Rarity wondered as she looked around. She could see some trees and what seemed to be a forest. But it was hard to tell given how dark it was outside.
"It's the land near Alola." Kukui spoke. "It's not associated with any region. It's just a neutral ground between all regions. A place where all of us can meet up peacefully. I've been here before." He walked off ahead, approaching the nearby forest. "All the Infinity Energy's still here, so all the Pokemon will be just fine."
"But Princess Fluttershy..." Fluttershy said with concern. "She's still there and...is our world next!?"
"..." Twilight sat there with a saddened expression as her eyes were shaded by the tree she sat under. She knew for a fact that Princess Fluttershy's was doomed. No doubt about it. "The next time we meet...It has to be the last."
"Twilight?" Rarity looked over.
"The next time we come across Daybreaker and Necrozma, no matter what, we absolutely have to guarantee that we defeat them. There's no telling how many universes are at stake here...Princes Fluttershy did that to give us a second chance. We couldn't have stopped their onslaught back there if we stayed behind."
"I hate to admit it, but she's right." Kukui sighed, looking back at everyone. "There's a high possibility that even our world will be absorbed if we don't act fast enough. Princess Fluttershy's given us this huge chance to do something about it."
"Do we even have time for that?" An Alolan asked. "They could show up again and we might not be back to our usual selves! I don't even think we can battle with our Pokemon properly!"
"...We have to try." Twilight said with a low tone. "I could try a spell that could hide us...but I just don't have the energy left. I've used so much that the simplest spell will take me so long to pull off."
"If only President Lusamine were still here." Wicke sighed. "She's still travelling with her family to find Mohn. But it'd break her heart if she saw what was happening here. She would surely want to help. I can't blame her though. He's been missing for such a long time."
"Lusamine is out of the question." Kukui told her. "And so is Guzma for that matter. Who knows where he and Team Skull are during all of this."
"Even so..." Twilight closed her eyes before opening them. "We still have to try something. I can't pull off anything big...but you can. Rarity." Her attention would turn to Rarity.
"M-Me?!" The unicorn gasped, jerking back a bit as she frantically shook her head. "Oh, no-no-no, darling! I'm not a magic expert like you are, darling! I just use magic to move things and style my mane and tail!"
"I know you can do it." Twilight smiled at her. "I'll pass over some Rift Magic to you, so that you can wield it for the first time.
"I...I don't even know what I'm supposed to do with it! I never learned to wield that sort of power!" Rarity retorted. "I mean, I'm flattered but..."
"Rarity. Please." Twilight's voice sounded very stern with some weakness. "You're one of my best friends in the entire world. I know you can do it."
"B-But...if it doesn't work? If we get caught because I fail!?" Rarity started freaking out, panicking.
"I promise that you won't fail. I'll tell you what you need to do." Twilight assured her. "And I trust you with it."
"Uughh! Sweet Celestia~!" Rarity whined. "Alright! I'll do it. Just grant me as much as you can and I'll try my best."
"Right. Thanks, Rarity." Twilight gave her a small smile. "But remember...getting Rift Energy will bring random things to you like it does to everyone. I've never transferred my own Rift Energy to someone so something unexpected might happen to you. But I'll make sure you're still stable."
"I understand..." Rarity said, looking at her with a frown. "I hope the randomness at least has taste and style."
"Okay." Twilight nodded as she slowly stood up. While she lacked a lot of strength, she could still pass on her magic. Rift Particles swirled around her horn, the most she could conjure after using so much magic already. With a simple spell, she transferred her Rift Energy to Rarity, who felt the sensation of it enter her body.
Rarity let out a light gasp, feeling the Cosmic Energy enter her body for the first time. It felt strange, but also exhilarating. She couldn't help but shiver a little as she absorbed the energy into her body. This was an incredible experience for her, something she never thought she'd ever get to feel.
The Rift Energy began to swirl within her, creating a new kind of energy within her that was different from what she normally had. Her eyes would flash multiple times as if a million exploding stars were going off. Her mane would light up with cosmic particles, similar to how Celestia and Luna's manes usually are, her white coat shining like a star.
She felt everything about herself grow to amazing levels. She felt like a new pony. Better than ever. And to think, this was just a few Rift Particles and her thoughts immediately went to all sorts of places. "My goodness...my mind is racing!" Rarity shouted while everyone watched this phenomenon occur.
"Even though it's random...Rift Energy always takes one factor of the target into play." Twilight said, almost falling over before being caught by Olivia. "No matter what, it would have always taken your best interests and turned into something that would work for you."
Rarity's eyes sparkled with confidence as she nodded. "I feel Divine! I shall do my best! I must do my best!" She proclaimed, her horn emitting a large aura of sparkling particles. Rarity levitated in the air, her horn shining bright. Her body glowed brightly as well, and soon enough, everyone was surrounded by a dome of light that covered the entire area.
This dome of light was massive, enveloping every inch of land within the forest as far as the eye could see. It stretched high into the sky, obscuring the view of the night sky and the stars above. A soft pink glow emanated from within the dome, providing some illumination for those who needed it.
"Hahaha!" Rarity cackled, absolutely loving the power within her, levitating above everyone. "I'm the big star for once!"
"Alright! Looking great, Rarity!" Pinkie Pie cheered her friend on.
"Oh, my~" Rarity giggled with glee as she twirled around, floating in the air. "This power feels incredible! Why didn't we ever try this before?! I've been missing out!"
"While we have this chance, we'll return to the Aether Foundation," Wicke said as she and all the Aether Foundation Employees and staff were ready to leave. "There's something we can do to help stop Daybreaker. We can try and use Ultra Wormholes to intercept any gateways."
The Aether Foundation were already off, knowing they were running on limited time. Of course, they would have to get to Alola by traversing the sea, which was easier said than done. But with Rarity's magic, that could be fixed. She used her amazing magic to create a starry bridge that would materialize over the sea, allowing them to cross to their destination.
With the bridge complete, the Aether Foundation ran across it as fast as they could. They reached the other side without any issue and were soon on their way towards Alola.
Now, all the others had to do was lay low and work without Daybreaker finding them. Solgaleo would have to lay low too since he was the next big target. Of course, this was also a big opportunity for Twilight to recover her strength, not having to do anything drastic.
Hopefully.
Universe 11. Manehattan.
In Universe 11, the Solar Sword had been fully repared over at Manehattan. All the damage it had taken would be undone by the Epire's magic and technology. The ship looked as new as it was when it first appeared in the universe. And Daybreaker and Sunrise Sparkle were more than happy to use it once more.
"Have you found Zekrom yet?" Daybreaker was still curious about Zekrom, who was very much present in Universe 11 still.
"Not at all, Your Majesty. That Counter Spell you used blew a lot of things away. Zekrom must've escaped far, but expect him to appear again, just to launch a surprise attack."
"He won't get the chance. We're heading to Universe 1 right away. All of us. There won't be anymore waiting."
"Of course." Sunrise nodded. "The Supernova's been fully charged as well. As for Luna and the others that have shown up here, I've-"
"They'll come." Daybreaker cut off Sunrise. "There's nothing of value in my Universe for them to take or really sabotage. If we head to their universe, they will have no choice but to follow. Prepare to set out."
"Right away, Your Majesty." Sunrise nodded, turning to all the other ships and preparing to give the order.
The Solar Sword's engines could be heard starting up as a gateway would open up. And after the ship got its engine's revved, it was time for them to depart. Daybreaker and Sunrise Sparkle entered the massive ship, ready to go. They weren't taking any chances, going in full force as they departed from Manehattan.
The other ships would follow, ready to leave behind this Universe for the time being. Now it was time for them to invade Universe 1 once more but for the last time.
"Your Majesty!" An engineer spoke through the speaker. "We're detecting a huge amount of Cosmic Energy coming our way!"
"What!?" Daybreaker gasped while Sunrise looked ahead. "Already!? Where is it coming from?!"
"It's hard to tell but it's heading right for us!" The engineer answered.
"Hmph." Sunrise looked back at Daybreaker. "Zekrom?"
"I can't say it's him." Daybreaker replied before narrowing her eyes. "But this is a threat that will be dealt with swiftly. Open fire at the source."
"Right away, Your Majesty! Firing at the source of the disturbance!" The engineer complied, the main cannon of the Solar Sword being aimed in the direction of the disturbance.
The cannon fired out a powerful beam of light, travelling towards the source of the energy. The beam impacted the source, creating a small explosion. However, when the smoke cleared, the ship could be seen undamaged. In fact, it looked like it absorbed the energy instead of deflecting it.
The culprit was none other than Princess Luna, who was revealed to have shown up after breaking out of that dimension. She used her magic to absorb the attack, throwing it elsewhere. And right beside her was Zekrom. Not just Zekrom, but also Darkrai, Cresselia and all the ponies that came with her to this universe.
"Luna." Daybreaker said with narrowed eyes.
"How did she get out of my Dimensional Trap?!" Sunrise couldn't believe her eyes one bit. "What a failure that Oculus Gloom turned out to be...!"
"You want to arrive at our Universe We'll get you a boost! Full power, all of you! Zekrom! Fusion Bolt! Darkrai, use Dark Pulse!" Luna gave the call for all of them to attack. All those Golurks that belonged to th Canterlot Guards would collectively unleash Hyper Beam in unison. All those attacks merged as one, hitting the back of the Solar Sword.
And indeed, that did boost it through the gateway, forcing it through faster than before. They had a short window to enter the next Universe but Daybreaker didn't take them seriously. She merely smirked as they were sent flying through the gateway, entering the universe with ease even with the Solar Sword taking some damage.
The other ships entered behind them, not intending on leaving any stragglers behind. All ships were passing through, ready to finish this full-on attack.
Universe 1. Alola.
The conflict returned to Universe 1, right at the Alola Region. As Twilight and the others waited, they could already see the huge rift of space appear in the distance.
"There they are..." Rarity gasped as everyone looked at the incoming invasion. "They're really coming here again! I thought we'd have more time to prepare!"
"No, no. It makes sense." Twilight shook her head. "Daybreaker knows she has to end this fast, just like us. But she didn't come with just her group. Look."
Twilight had them look a bit longer to see who else was coming out of the gateway. Flying through were Luna's forces along with Zekrom. This immediately gained their attention as they watched all the ships approach the battlefield.
The Solar Sword and all the ships turned around to fstart firing against them right away. The Golurks had enough time to recharge, retaliating against these ships. A battle in the sky would ensue, all of the ships clashing with one another as they launched various attacks.
"We'll go to that ship." Kukui said. He and all the Kahunas were willing to head over and take action. While their bodies were still recovering, their Pokemon have yet to battle, so they were all at full power. "Twilight. You and your friends just focus on getting everyone else back to full strength and have them be safe."
"But you all aren't at your full strength either." Fluttershy pointed out.
"We know." Hala did not deny it. Neither of them did. "But this is our home. Weak or not, we always do what we can to ensure it's safe. That's how we've always done it."
"You've done a lot for us. Let us take care of things from here." Hapu proudly aid.
"Well...if you're going, then we're going too." Rainbow Dash stood up, willing to go. "I'm still feeling off, but that won't stop me."
"Indeed," Rarity added. "We came here to help and we're not stopping until this is all over. I believe we all feel that way. Plus, I'm dying to use this amazing magic for some sweet catharsis."
"Me too!" Pinkie Pie smiled, standing beside her friends.
"All of you. Go." Twilight obviously couldn't come since she was the most spent. "We're all counting on you. Island Kahunas...my friends. This will be our last chance, so let's not waste it." Twilight smiled, looking at all of her friends. In a way, all of Alola were her friends. Perhaps it was because of the connection to Ash and the fact that she's interacted with the more than once, hanging out and such. Much like her own friends from Equestria, she could always count on that.
"That's the spirit." At that moment, someone had arrived. Someone Twilight was thinking about for a brief moment.
Showing up here was Ash. And of course, he was still with Cobalion, Shooting Star, Passion and Reshiram. All of them showed up at Alola a while back, especially after the Supernova had been used here.
"Ash! You've recovered!" Pinkie's eyes lit up when she saw him. "You're okay!"
"Pika-Pi!" Pikachu ran over.
All of his friends rushed over to him, seeing him back into the fray. Of course, his pain was just being held back by magic, but he was very much energized as always. "Nothing a little magic couldn't solve." Ash grinned before receiving a nudge from Shooting Star who smirked. "Ow."
"I thought you would never heal because of that burn on your back." Twilight had a soft smile, greatly relieved. Her head lowered, her hooves still shaking as Olivia would support her. "How do you always make it out of such bad scenarios?"
"Hey. It wasn't as bad as Delayed Aura Ataxia at least. That stuff hurts!" Ash laughed before turning to face the Solar Sword. "So, they're really coming in full force this time." He said, noticing the incoming fleet approaching them. "But that doesn't matter. We have our own full force."
"You came here with a Reshiram...?" Lana was too focused on the fact there was just a Rehsiram here. Some were focused on the fact that Cobalion was here, their eyes wide as Reshiram smiled at them.
"If Passion is here...That must mean Princess Celestia's okay too?" Fluttershy questioned.
"No. Celestia's still resting." Ash shook his head. "But even so, we can do this. Passion and Reshiram are gonna battle as if Celestia's still by their side. All of us are gonna do what we can sabotage it all for Daybreaker."
"We showed up to Alola earlier. But I soon noticed that our power was starting to fade." Cobalion explained. "So, we quickly came to this island near Alola, but not before saving the Pokemon that were still here. Now, we should have fully recovered our strength after all that waiting. The other Swords are very much here as well."
"Rarity. Think you can get us to that ship with a bridge?" Ash looked at Rarity, noticing her new look.
"Oh, my. You already figured out I had such magic from just looking at me? Well, I do look wonderful after all." Rarity flipped her glowing mane. "And you got it, darling." She winked at him. "I'll have you there in no time. We've kept Daybreaker waiting long enough anyways."
Using her Rift Magic, Rarity focused her attention on the Solar Sword in the distance. It was so massive it was hard to miss. With a flash, the bridge formed, connecting the land to the Solar Sword. It stretched far and wide, hitting the side of the ship as the impact wasn't felt at all. It was very light and frail, going undetected.
Now that a bridge had been made, it was straight to the Solar Sword. Ash and the others set foot on the Starry Bridge, quickly moving on it before it could be noticed.
"Remember. Necrozma won't hesitate to absorb any of us. Who knows how strong he's gotten since then? It's best to be careful not to engage with him all that much."
"Yeah, okay. That'll be easier said than done though." Rainbow Dash pointed out. "He's so hostile that he'll attack anyone."
"Don't worry. We'll mess up the ship so quickly, no one will have time to sort things out!" Kiawe exclaimed.
"I say we grab Necrozma's Poke Ball if we get the chance. In case Daybreaker doesn't unleash him just yet. And if not, then one of us will have to snag her Poke Ball and return him to it."
"I see. If we do that, Necrozma won't be able to cause damage to the universe and it'll be all over for her. We just need to get that Poke Ball from her." Hapu explained, getting it right away.
"Here we come, Daybreaker! Blow a hole through, Reshiram! Fusion Flare! Cobalion! Sacred Sword!" Ash wanted to make a powerful entrance which Cobalion and Reshiram would gladly help with.
Reshiram blasted a large ball of fire right into the side of the ship. The flames impacted the ship, leaving quite a dent in it. A large explosion occurred, causing a chain reaction within the Solar Sword. There was an alarm blaring inside the ship, a red light flashing as Daybreaker heard it from where she was.
But what really made an entrance was the slash from Cobalion. His horn lit up, extending with a powerful energy as he would slash downwards. He was so powerful, he cut a hole straight through the ship, landing inside the vessel as everyone else would land right behind him.
The others followed them, entering the ship. This was an all-out assault, a full on siege as they were prepared to wreck everything in this massive ship. Ash and everyone were on board, startling the soldiers nearby as the smoke would clear to show the sight of Ash, the Mane 6, the Island Kahunas and other strong Trainers here.
Ash was more than eager to ruin everything as a wide grin on his face showed. His eyes did seem sharper than before. This was because of Sombra's magic and he knew it. Sombra was influencing his body to give him a bit of a boost while holding back the heat. Sombra was also looking forward to sabotaging it all.
"Celestia. Even if you're not here, we won't let you down."
Celestia's Mind.
In Celestia's mind, she was still restrained by flames from her own Daybreaker, staying silent as Daybreaker continued to berate her for being so weak, trying to convince her to become Daybreaker. But even though she wasn't responding, there was something she could feel in the air. Something that was very familiar to her even in her own Mindscape.
"So, I'd suggest just giving in. What good can you do as you are now? At this very moment, so many lives are being absorbed by Necrozma, becoming fuel for him. Mass destruction and chaos all over and you can't do anything to stop it. You can't be a ruler with these ideals. You should give into the truth of what you need to do. It's the only way we can be happy."
"..."
"Still can't say anything? Then maybe it's time to end all of this. End all the suffering you've brought upon your world and all the others. It's for your own good."
Just then, that feeling in the air was felt by Daybreaker as well. "What's this feeling?" Daybreaker's eyes widened, feeling the power surge through her body, even in this Mindscape.
"I've had some time to think about it..." In reality, all Celestia was doing was thinking, taking it all in. "Everything you said has weight to it."
"Doesn't it?" Daybreaker smirked. "Becoming your own Daybreaker is the best option. I'm so glad you're starting to se it for yourself."
"But...You're wrong." However, Celestia refused Daybreaker, shocking her alter-ego. "You said to me earlier that I should abandon my ideals and accept the truth. But...I've always accepted the Truth. It's why Reshiram chose me. Truths and Ideals may go against each other, but I've always seen them as things that can work as one. I know what I need to do now. And it's thanks to you that I've realized it."
"Realized what?" Daybreaker asked, narrowing her eyes.
"That I've been holding back. I've been afraid to use my full power since I've already seen what happens when others give in to my rage and anger. Sunset Shimmer. Luna. Even Twilight at times. I've also been afraid of losing the ones I care about. But...now, I understand what I should've known from the start." Celestia stared into her eyes, smiling softly at her. "I shouldn't be afraid of what might happen. I should be willing to fight for those who believe in me. Even if it means risking my life, I'll do it to protect the ones I love. That's how I've always done it and that's what I'll continue to do."
"What?" Daybreaker scoffed, her eyes glowing with a fiery intensity. "You're really that stupid!? Don't you remember what happened last time with Ghetsis?! If you try and reach your full potentia, you'll only bring more suffering!"
"No. You're wrong." Celestia shook her head. "You don't know the truth at all. You never did." Celestia said with a smile. "That's why you are so misguided and filled with such hate. So much so, that you became this monster. You can't even recognize your own mistakes. Just like the other Daybreaker."
Just then, a beautiful golden light would form around Celestia, slowly building up. Daybreaker hissed at this as this was a light even she couldn't look into. It was so unique. So different. "W-What is this?!"
"I've never been driven by fear. Even when losing horribly, I've never let it get the best of me. I've been motivated to keep going and become stronger. No matter what happens, I know my friends and loved ones will help me grow. To move forward. They have been supporting me, no matter what, and I will not turn my back on them by becoming you."
The golden light would grow at a faster rate, blinding Daybreaker to the point where she had to cover her eyes. She couldn't handle the power of it, feeling it overwhelm her own flames. "Stop it! Stop it! STOP IT!"
"Luna. Passion. Reshiram. Ash. All of them are out there doing their best. I just know it. And they would never love faith in me, so I can't lose faith in myself. If I never met them or made even more friends, maybe I would've turned out like you. If I never patched things with Luna back then, I would've become Daybreaker. But I'm far beyond that. I'm far beyond becoming Daybreaker. Not when I have everyone else around me."
"Ngh...Ghhh!" Daybreaker then looked at the light, seeing how it was starting to change colours. What used to be a beautiful golden light was slowly transforming into something white. "A white light..."?
"The other Daybreaker once told me that she'd want to reach a level beyond everyone where she would truly look like the Sun. The Sun may look golden from the outside, but on the inside..." Celestia's appearance was beginning to change as well as her mane began to grow even longer, her horn growing even larger. Her height even increased.
Her mane was starting to resemble something that glowed with a fiery intensity. It was almost as if it was burning, glowing a brilliant white with flames dancing through it and her wings were shining brightly, a rainbow forming around her as she smiled softly, looking up at Daybreaker. "On the inside, it's White."
"That form...The Sun" Daybreaker couldn't believe her eyes as she saw Celestia's appearance change, becoming pure white. "Is this your true potential...? It can't be!"
"It is."It was difficult for Daybreaket to look at Celestia as she was as blinding as the Sun itself. At least in this mindscape. Daybreaker felt weak in the presence of it, unable to move at all. She was terrified as Celestia began approaching her, the flaming chains dissipating around her hooves.
"Stay back!" Daybreaker backed up, looking at the bright figure of Celestia. She cowered in fear, being in a fetal position as all of her attitude had been taken away just like that."You'll burn me!"
"I won't." Celestia said calmly, slowly approaching Daybreaker as she suddenly hugged her. "I want to thank you. At the end of the day, you're still me." The flames were so warm and welcoming, like a mother's embrace. It was soothing to Daybreaker, making her eyes widen. "You simply showed up because of my own doubts. The truth is that I needed someone like you to make peace with myself. Just like Luna with Nightmare Moon. You are a part of me that I can't deny."
"Y-You..." Daybreaker didn't know what else to say. She expected to break Celestia and take over. But instead, Celestia was welcoming her. Not by force, but by embracing who she was.
"I could never hate you. Just like I could never hate the other Daybreaker, knowing what she's been through. So come on. I won't be rid of you. Let's always be together. Okay? Luna and the others are waiting for us." Celestia smiled softly, embracing the warmth that came from her own flames.
Daybreaker couldn't help but shed a tear, her eyes glistening as she embraced Celestia. "Celestia..." She accepted her instead of attempting to be rid of her. She had her sister to thank for accepting Nightmare Moon. The tears were so strong that not even her flames could evaporate them.
And by embracing this, Daybreaker's body would glow as she and Celestia were unifying as one, ready to become whole as this entire mindscape would be lit up.
As the journey continues.
