My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Against the Solar Empire! The Giant of Hope
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAlola. The Solar Sword. Nightfall.
The attack on the Solar Sword had begun. Ash and the others broke into the ship. Alerts went off, informing everyone on the Solar Ship about the intrusion as they saw Ash and everyone had arrived. Sunrise Sparkle sat up from her seat upon hearing the alert, interacting with one of the monitors to see who was responsible for this.
"Them!" Sunrise looked at Ash and company with furrowed eyes before snickering to herself. "Already they're starting to interfere as always!"
"Sunrise. Head over with a team and deal with them." Daybreaker commanded. "By now, it's clear that foot soldiers are never going to be enough to stop them."
"As you wish, Your Majesty!" Sunrise saluted her before turning to her forces who were gathered here. "You all heard our Empress! Get everyone you can out there and get rid of them! For good this time!"
All the forces complied, advancing out of the main room and spreading out.
The Solar Sword continued to clash with Luna's forces from space as Sunrise and some soldiers made their way in escape pods, having left the ship to deal with outside threats. However, the Solar Sword remained intact, able to carry on its duty in causing destruction from above while also having to deal with Zekrom,
But things were not that easy for the Solar Empire as they were busy dealing with multiple problems on the inside. Their sensors were going wild, telling them that their teleportation systems were going haywire. They were experiencing an attack from multiple locations, prompting them to send their forces to different areas of the ship to investigate it.
What was happening was that certain places on the ship would randomly teleport and disappear, popping up elsewhere without any warning or signs as certain crew members would end up falling into the void of space.
Meanwhile, inside the ship, Ash and everyone else were dispersing. There were three areas on the ship that were given by Kukui. One was the bridge where Daybreaker herself was located at. One was the engine room which could cause some massive damage to the ship's core if damaged.
Ash's group headed to the bridge to take out Daybreaker once and for all, while Lana, Kiawe and some other strong trainers decided to head to the engine room and get rid of it in case things go downhill for them. Fire and Water could most definitely ruin the technology here especially some electricity from Sophocles.
Everyone was told to be careful since they could all fall out at any moment and if the ship goes to space, they could get a far worse outcome, being sucked out into the nothingness. They all split up to accomplish their individual missions which would make this attack all the more effective for them.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
"Pika....Chuuuu!" Pikachu would blast lightning down the hallways, shocking many soldiers with precision before they could even react to the fast Mouse Pokemon. As a result of Pikachu's attack, there was a spark of electricity that surged throughout the ship. There was an alarm blaring loudly which stopped as soon as it started, causing the lights to flicker a bit before fully shutting off.
"Braviary! Brave Bird!" Rainbow Dash exclaied as Braviary flew past her.
"Bravi!" The Valiant Pokemon came charging through with his body lit up, knocking over some machines and soldeirs as if they were bowling pins, instantly defeating them with how much power he possessed.
"Milotic! Hydro Pump!"
"Milo!" Heeding Rarity's call, Milotic would release a high volume stream of water on the floor which would quickly flood it, further hurting those who couldn't handle their bodies being wet before being struck with her Hydro Pump attack.
The torrential water swept them away before blowing them away in a high velocity rush of water which instantly took them down in one swift strike. They were all down in mere seconds, but there were still plenty more soldiers and engineers in the vicinity to handle this.
They all shot their light weapons at them while they still could, firing them rapidly as some got behind the water. Of course, Ash's friends weren't alone in their assaults as everyone had their Pokemon out which helped in handling this large number of enemies in such a vast area.
"Great job everyone!" Ash complimented as he smiled at all of his friends along with their Pokemon.
"Well, we don't have a problem clearing them out, but where exactly can we find Daybreaker in a ship this massive? There are tons of exits and entrances everywhere on this ship so we could easily get lost." Rarity questioned.
"It'll be alright." Ash pointed out before chuckling to himself, being completely relaxed. "I can sense Daybreaker's Aura and it's massive. And when Necrozma shows up, we'll know where he is."
"Look alive." Cobalion said, causing them to look ahead at the sight heading for them. The large machine weapons were seen approaching, ready to fire. Mass rays of light were released, some possessing flames within them. Cobalion would use Sacred Sword, swinging his horn down to split the ray in half, dispelling it.
Elsewhere on the ship, Captain Spitfire and her group were advancing towards the intruders of this ship, readying their other ships. She was leading the charge with her Solar Skyriders, flying through the halls of the ship as they were ready to take down Ash and his friends.
"There they are!" Spitfire pointed out as she saw Fluttershy nearby. Fluttershy yelped after being spotted, the ships managing to move within the hallways of this massive ship. Then again, the hallways themselves were just that massive since the Solar Sword dwarfed all other ships in size.
"Audino!" Audino used Protect, forming a large wall that fillled up this hallway, defending her and Fluttershy from these light rays. The beams were so powerful that they were able to pierce through the wall, but not before it faded away.
"Ra...Boot!" Raboot leapt over Fluttershy and Audino, using High Jump kick to lunge himself at one of the ships, kicking it with enough force to send it crashing into the wall. He landed on the ground, looking at the other ships that were coming for him.
Soon, Raboot was bombarded with multiple rays that knocked him back, causing him to cry out. "Raboot!" Fluttershy gasped in horror. But it wasn't over yet. One ship was building up a bit more strength for a larger ray.
"R-Ra?" Raboot grunted upon seeing this buildup, the attack being unleashed at him in the form of a large sphere. And there was nothing Raboot could do to stop this attack.
That is until someone cut it in half, sending the sphere in two directions which would combust, saving Raboot's life. The Rabbit Pokemon tumbled on the ground, managing to recover by sliding, baring eyes at the one who saved him. It was none other than Virizion
"Virizion!" Fluttershy exclaimed in relief.
"Are you alright?" She asked Fluttershy and Raboot.
"Y-Yes! Thank you!" Fluttershy smiled in relief.
"Good." Virizion nodded before looking at the ships that were approaching. "The rest of the Swords have just now boarded this ship. I should also inform you that at this very moment, many Legendary Pokemon are coming this way."
"A lot of them are headed here?" Fluttershy let out a light gasp.
"Terrakion and I were moving from place to place to help those caught up in this mess. By doing so, we spotted many Legendary Pokemon heading this way. They're all coming here to take down Daybreaker." Virizion explained.
"That's great news!" Fluttershy smiled happily. "We'll have more help!"
"It is. But it can also be rather risky. For you see...They will all be at risk of being absorbed, fueling Necrozma's strength. Whatever happens, Necrozma must not get that opportunity, especially since there's no telling how strong he is now." Virizion said with a serious tone. "Some Legendaries have already fallen victim to his attack."
"Oh...I see." Fluttershy frowned upon hearing that.
"Don't worry. We'll make sure that doesn't happen." Virizion assured her. "Under no circumstance must he absorb even
a bit of their strength. Now, follow me."
"Right!" Fluttershy nodded as she and Raboot followed Virizion's lead.
Meanwhile, Lana, Kiawe and Sophocles were heading to the engine room with their Pokemon, ready to take it out. They were all running through the halls of this massive ship, trying to find the engine room as fast as possible.
"Where is it?!" Kiawe asked as he looked around.
"I don't know! It's like a maze in here!" Sophocles exclaimed.
"I think we're getting closer." Lana said as she looked at her surroundings. "I can feel it."
"You sure?" Kiawe asked as he looked at her.
"Not really." Lana shrugged while sticking her tongue, making Kiawe and Sophocles lower their eyes. "But even if we don't find it, I bet if we just keep messing up everything they have, eventually, it'll reach the engine room. We do it without being there."
"In that case..." Sohopholoces had stars in his eyes, twiddling his fingers as he lurked over a control module, ready to interact with all of this tech. The most devious grin was on his face. "Let me have a go at this."
Wasting no time, Sophocles went wild on the controls, pressing buttons and pulling levers as he laughed maniacally. Already, by doing this, he was messing with the ship's systems, causing it to malfunction in some areas.
And while he was going wild, Sophocles could at least understand what he was looking at. By interacting with these controls, he could quickly figure out what they were capable of and find a way to sabotage them by using their benefits to his advantage.
This was immediately done to nearby soldiers who were trying to stop him. They fired their light weapons at him, but Sophocles was quick to use the controls to his advantage. He pressed a button which caused a wall to rise up from the ground, blocking the rays from hitting him and his friends.
Some soldiers were confused, thinking their weapons were jammed. But Sophocles knew better as he smirked, seeing the wall slowly descend back into the ground. "This is actually easier than it looks! I guess because hooves are supposed to be used on this so it's more simplified."
"That's our cue!" Kiawe exclaimed as he and Lana ran past Sophocles, heading for the soldiers who were trying to get past the wall.
"Turtonator! Flamethrower!" Kiawe ordered as Turtonator unleashed a powerful stream of flames that engulfed the soldiers, burning them all to a crisp.
"Primarina! Sparkling Aria!" Lana called out as Primarina unleashed a powerful blast of water that was mixed with pink energy. The water was able to hit the soldiers, sending them hurling across the hallways. Safe to say they were doing their part and Sophocles's love for technology was a massive positive in all of this.
The Aether Foundation.
At the Aether Foundation, all the Members found themselves back at their base of operations, ready to chime in on the battle. Their main goal was the Solar Sword, thinking of a way to bring it down.
"This helps greatly. With all of them keeping the Solar Empire distracted from there, we can work without any interruptions." Wicke said as she looked at the monitor, seeing the Solar Sword in all of its glory. "All those Pheroosas from before are swarming the ship, so I believe we should call for some Ultra Beast assistance.
"More?! Are you insane?!" Faba exclaimed as other employees gasped. It was unlike Wicke to try something so crucial right away.
"Hm-hm-hm!" Wicke smiled with her eyes closed, opening them as she looked at Faba. "I'm not the one who's insane. It's Daybreaker who's insane for thinking she can get away with this. I'll only be sending in three Ultra Beasts for this one and right after that, we send them home."
"While in the ship? Won't that just endanger everyone else on our side?" An employee asked.
"Don't worry. They can handle themselves." But Wicke knew that Ash and the others could handle themselves. She had faith in them and knew they would be able to handle this.
Universe 11. Appleloosa.
In Universe 11, Applejack and the Wonderbolt's mission to sabotage Appleloosa's Rift Factory continued in secrecy. So far, they weren't largely undetected by anyone, especially the 12 Golett and Froslass that were completely hidden.
"There. That should be the centre." Spitfire spoke, looking ahead at the large Rift Machine that was in the middle of this factory. It was a large pump with multiple sides that was producing a large amount of energy. And most likely, underneath it was the Rift Pool."We need to take that out."
"That's easier said than done." Misty Fly said as he looked at the machine. "We'll have to be careful."
"I agree." Fleetfoot nodded her head. "We need to be careful."
"I'm sure we can do it." High Winds said as she looked at her fellow Wonderbolts. "We just need to be careful."
"Right." Spitfire nodded her head as she looked at her fellow Wonderbolts. "Everyone ready?"
"Ready!" All the Wonderbolts responded in unison. The group pressed on, with the Golett taking point. They navigated through the maze of machinery and crates, inching closer to the towering cylindrical building with the glowing red orb at its center.
Suddenly, a loud explosion rocked the factory. The group froze, their eyes darting around to find the source of the commotion. In the distance, they saw one of the large machines sparking and emitting plumes of smoke. It seemed one of the Golett had successfully broke a part of it, phasing inside a part of the machine and breaking it apart.
"Nice work," Applejack muttered, a small smile forming on her face. But their moment of relief was short-lived. Second Wind's voice echoed through the factory.
As they quietly approached the central power generator, they were unaware that they were being watched. High above, hidden in the rafters, a group of Unown floated silently, their single eyes unblinking as they observed the intruders. The Unown relayed what they saw to their master, Second Wind, who was lurking in the shadows.
Second Wind's eyes gleamed with malice as she watched Applejack and her team. She had been following their progress closely, using her Unown to stay one step ahead. She knew they were planning to disable the power generator and ultimately disrupt the Rift Energy production. She couldn’t let that happen.
Silently, she descended from her vantage point, her gold-coloured fur blending into the dimly lit factory. She moved with the stealth of a predator, her wings barely making a sound as she landed gracefully behind the group. The Unown formed a protective circle around her, their psychic energy crackling in the air.
The moment was perfect. She was close enough to launch a surprise attack, catching them off guard. Second Wind smirked, her voice a low, sinister whisper. "Well, well, well. What do we have here?"
Applejack and the others spun around, their eyes widening in shock. "Second Wind!" Applejack exclaimed, her voice tense.
"You really thought you could just waltz in here and shut down this factory?" Second Wind's tone was mocking as she stepped forward, her eyes glinting with malice. "You must be more foolish than I thought. Coming here with these numbers?"
"Darn. Should've figured the Unown could see right through us..." Applejack grit her teeth.
"Nice try. But you're not going to stop this." Second Wind's voice was cold as she raised her hoof, her Unown floating menacingly above her. "I'll make sure you pay for your insolence."
Without warning, Second Wind unleashed a blast of dark energy, forcing Applejack and the others to scatter. The Wonderbolts took to the air, their agile forms darting around the factory as they tried to avoid her attacks.
"Now what?!" Misty Fly asked.
"Applejack! Can I count on you to handle her?!" Spitfire asked
"Eeyup." Applejack grinned. "I'll take care of her."
"Good." Spitfire nodded her head before looking at the other Wonderbolts. "The rest of you, focus on taking out that machine!"
"Right!" The Wonderbolts nodded their heads before they all charged at the machine.
"Golett! Protect them!" Applejack ordered as the Golett all went to protect the Wonderbolts.
"Hidden Power!" Second Wind bellowed as the Unown all unleashed Hidden Power, red rays firing from their eyes.
"Golett! Earth Power!"
"Gol!" The 12 Golett stomped their feet in unison, causing the ground to shake as they unleashed Earth Power, creating a wall of earth that blocked the rays from hitting them.
"What?!" Second Wind exclaimed in shock.
"Now! Use Shadow Ball!" Applejack ordered as the Golett all fired Shadow Ball, unleashing a barrage of dark orbs that flew towards Second Wind and her Unown.
The Unown would merged their Hidden Powers to form a circular shield that would not just block the attack but also reflect it back at them. "Scatter!" Applejack shouted, diving to the side as the reflected Shadow Balls whizzed past. The Golett were able to dodge the attack, but some of them couldn't dodge it in time, taking super-effective damage.
"G-Gol!"
"Sceptile, use Frenzy Plant!"
"Scep...Tile!" Digging his hands into the ground, Sceptile unleashed a powerful attack that caused many vines to emerge from the ground, wrapping around the soldiers and their machines. The vines would squeeze them tightly before slamming them into the ground, defeating them in one fell swoop.
The vines continued their assault, reaching for the Unown. However, Second Wind intervened, using her own magic to intercept the attack. Her horn glowed a dark purple, and a barrier formed, protecting the Unown from the entangling vines.
"Insignificant, Earth Pony!" Second Wind taunted, her eyes flashing with malice. "Unown, Hidden Power!"
The Unown launched a barrage of Hidden Power attacks, their eyes glowing fiercely as they targeted the 12 Golett and Sceptile. Each Unown's Hidden Power had a different elemental effect, creating a chaotic mix of Fire, Water, Grass, and other energies.
"Now, Sceptile! Use Dragon Pulse!"
"Scep...tile!" Sceptile roared again, unleashing a powerful Dragon Pulse towards Second Wind and her Unown. The energy blast tore through the air clashing with the Hidden Power for a while before managing to break through, forcing Second Wind to conjure another protective barrier.
But this time, Second Wind was ready to play dirty. "Unown, Hidden Power!" she commanded. Instead of aiming at Sceptile or the Golett, the Unown targeted the structural supports of the factory. Their attacks caused the ceiling to tremble and debris to fall, creating chaos and distractions.
"Wah!" Applejack shouted, narrowly dodging a falling beam. Second Wind smirked, seeing her plan was working. She used the distraction to her advantage, her wings glowing as she cast a spell that cloaked her in shadows, making her movements harder to track.
Second Wind grinned maliciously as her Unown floated around her, their eyes glowing with a new intensity. "You thought you had the upper hoof? Think again. Get a gander at what more their Hidden Power can do!"
The Unown began to emit a strange aura, their Hidden Powers intertwining in a complex pattern. Suddenly, each Unown split into multiple copies, creating an overwhelming swarm that filled the air. The sheer number of Unown was disorienting, and their Hidden Power attacks now came from all directions, each attack infused with a different effect.
"What in tarnation?!" Applejack exclaimed, eyes wide.
Sceptile was caught off guard as the Hidden Power attacks rained down from all sides. All kinds of energies bombarded him and the Golett. The chaotic onslaught was relentless, and the Golett struggled to defend against the multi-directional attacks.
"G-Gol!" Several Golett cried out in pain, unable to withstand the barrage.
"Sceptile, use Dragon Pulse to clear the area!" Applejack ordered.
"Scep...tile!" Sceptile unleashed a powerful Dragon Pulse, the energy wave cutting through the air and striking several Unown copies. However, for every copy destroyed, more seemed to take their place, the swarm of Unown continuing their relentless assault.
"Drat! There's too many of 'em!" Applejack exclaimed, her eyes darting around frantically as she tried to keep track of the Unown's movements.
"Now, Unown! Finish them off!" Second Wind commanded, her voice echoing through the factory. The Unown responded with a chorus of cries, their Hidden Power attacks intensifying as they bombarded the Golett and Sceptile.
"Sceptile! Mega Evolve!" Quickly, Applejack would tap the keystone on her hat, initiating Mega Evolution before her friends could be hit.
"Sceptile!" Sceptile roared as he was engulfed in a bright light, the energy deflecting the Hidden Power as it would hit the walls, causing a cluster of explosions.
"Now, Sceptile! Use Frenzy Plant!" Applejack commanded.
"Scep!" Sceptile roared once more, his body glowing with a green aura as he unleashed a powerful Frenzy Plant attack. The vines erupted from the ground, wrapping around the Unown and squeezing them tightly. The vines slammed the Unown into the ground, crushing them under their weight.
As Second Wind watched her Unown being crushed under Sceptile’s Frenzy Plant, her face twisted in fury and desperation. Her gaze darted around the factory, and her horn glowed with dark energy. With a sudden, decisive motion, she pulled out a Rift Vial from her long mane.
“This isn’t over yet!” she declared with a sneer, holding the vial aloft.
The vial was filled with a swirling, ominous energy, its colours shifting between dark purples and cosmic blues. With a quick flick of her wrist, Second Wind hurled the vial towards one of the Unown, which was currently struggling in the grip of the Frenzy Plant’s vines.
The vial shattered upon impact, releasing a burst of Cosmic Energy that enveloped the Unown in a blinding glow. The energy seeped into the Unown’s form, transforming it almost instantly. The Unown's eyes glowed with newfound intensity as it began to radiate an otherworldly light.
“You won't steal victory from me again! Not this time!” Second Wind commanded, her voice filled with a mix of desperation and triumph. "I've come too far to lose now!"
The infused Unown began to channel the Cosmic Energy, causing its power to exponentially increase. The surrounding area was bathed in a shimmering aura as the Unown unleashed a wave of Cosmic Power that surged with raw, uncontrollable energy.
The factory’s structure groaned under the pressure as the cosmic wave shattered the remaining machinery and rippled through the surroundings.
Sceptile and the Golett, caught off guard by this sudden surge of power, struggled to maintain their positions. The Cosmic Energy was potent, distorting space and reality around them.
“Woah nelly…” Applejack held onto her hat, struggling to keep her balance as the turbulent air howled through the shattered factory. “We gotta hold on! We can’t let this thing take us down!”
Second Wind, her face twisted into a malevolent grin, raised her voice above the chaos. “This is where I bid you farewell. Applejack, was it? Doesn’t matter. You’ll be unimportant by the end of this. Watch as I wipe you out for good!” She commanded, her horn glowing as the Unown gathered all the remaining Cosmic Energy.
The Unown, their forms flickering with a dark, menacing light, began to charge up a massive orb of Cosmic Energy. The ball pulsed with an unsettling, otherworldly glow as it grew larger and more unstable.
“Hidden Power!” Second Wind’s voice cut through the din as the Unown released the concentrated ball of Cosmic Energy towards Sceptile and the Golett.
"Woah nelly..." Applejack held onto her hat as the wind was aggressively blowing across the factory.
"This is where I bid you farewell. Applejack, was it? Doesn't matter. You'll be unimportant by the end of this. Watch as I wipe you out for good! Hidden Power!"
One last time, the Unown would use Hidden Power with this grand cosmic energy within it. The Unown, their forms flickering with a dark, menacing light, began to charge up a massive orb of Cosmic Energy. The ball pulsed with an unsettling, otherworldly glow as it grew larger and more unstable. It was then unleashed, the force of it kicking up rubble and shaking the area itself.
"Hold it back, ya'll!"
Sceptile and the Golett, their bodies straining under the immense pressure, positioned themselves to counter the incoming onslaught. Sceptile, despite his Mega Evolution fading from the sheer force of the cosmic energy, tried to steady himself as he prepared to use his remaining strength.
"Frenzy Plant!"
Sceptile unleashed a desperate Frenzy Plant from his back, his attack colliding with the Cosmic Energy ball. The swirling vortex of leaves met the cosmic orb, creating a clash of elemental and cosmic forces. The sheer energy from the clash caused the factory’s remaining structures to tremble, the air filled with a cacophony of sound and light.
The Golett, their forms flickering with exhaustion, added their own attacks to bolster Sceptile’s efforts. They unleashed a barrage of Shadow Balls, their efforts forming a protective barrier around their struggling ally.
Despite their combined efforts, the Cosmic Energy ball continued to press forward, inch by relentless inch. The Golett’s movements became slower, their attacks less precise as they struggled against the overwhelming energy.
"Come on, Sceptile! You can do it!" Applejack cheered on her partner, her voice filled with determination and hope. "You can do it!"
Sceptile gritted his teeth, his body straining under the pressure. He could feel his strength waning, his muscles aching from the exertion. But he refused to give up, his eyes blazing with determination as he poured everything he had into his attack.
The Golett were also giving it their all, their forms flickering with exhaustion as they pushed against the Cosmic Energy Sphere. Their attacks were becoming weaker, their movements sluggish as they struggled to keep up with the relentless onslaught.
"Come on, Sceptile! Golett, you can do this!
"T-Tile!" His roots were being erased right before his eyes. But that wasn't all. Sceptile was starting to lose his Mega Evolved state with all of this strain on his body. He was starting to revert back to his normal form.
"No way!" Applejack couldn't believe her eyes. Just then, 6 Golett were launched back, unable to keep the attack back anymore as they fell over, their arms trembling. 6 more Golett remained but their strength was waning fast too.
"G-Gol!" They were all struggling to keep up with this attack.
"Your friends won't find you at all once I'm through with you." Second Wind cackled. "Sweet catharsis at last! For robbing me of even greater power, enjoy your life in the next world, away from me as I live for all of eternity."
"As if that's gonna happen...!" Applejack growled, her hat almost flying away. "You weren't supposed to be Queen in the first place! You took King Paramount's parents from him, turned Shooting Star against his own parents for a while and even tried slamming your fake land into Pegalysium! You're the worst!"
"Silence!" Second Wind snarled, her eyes blazing with fury. " This is destiny! I am destined for greatness! I will not let you or anyone else stand in my way!"
"You're wrong! You're just a bully who thinks she can get away with anything because she has power!" Applejack retorted, her voice filled with conviction. "But you're not gonna get away with it anymore! We're gonna stop you, no matter what!"
Second Wind's eyes narrowed as she glared at Applejack. "You're a fool if you think you can stop me. Just look at your Golett!"
"Lett!" 5 more Golett were launched back, unable to keep going. Now it was just one Golett and Sceptile.
"Scep...tile!" Sceptile was starting to lose his grip on the attack as well. And once his Mega Evolved state was gone, even Sceptile was pushed back, crashing into a wall. "Scep!"
"No! Sceptile!" Applejack bellowed with tears in her eyes.
"And then there was one! It's curtains for you!" Second Wind declared this over. The last Golett to try his best was Applejack's first ever Golett that she had. The one that had accompanied her the longest. It refused to give in, showing a buit more physical strength than the rest of its fellow Golett.
"Gol...lett!" The Golett would not give in.
"Golett you gotta get outta there!" Applejack wanted it to be safe, knowing that this attack was too dangerous for him to take head-on. The best thing to do was to try and get away from it despite its size.
As if things couldn't get any worse, soldiers from this factory were starting to approach, their weapons ready as they were about to corner and surround Applejack and her Pokemon. They were already in such a weak state, making this situation turn to the worst fast. This mission was looking to be a failure.
"After this, I think I'll wear your hat in front of your friends if I meet up with the again. As a way to show my dominance." Second Wind smirked. "Well, if your hat manages to withstand this. It's over."
However, at that moment, Golett began to glow with a bright, golden light. The intense pressure and the energy surrounding them seemed to trigger a response in the Pokémon.
"Hm?" Second Wind raised a brow at this, spotting the light around him. It didn't look to be Rift Energy coming out of his body but something else. Something that was about to awaken deep within Golurk
"What's this?" Second Wind muttered, her eyes narrowing as she tried to make sense of what was happening.
The light grew brighter and brighter, enveloping Golett in its warm embrace. The energy pulsed through his body, filling him with a newfound strength and determination. Golett's eyes blazed with a golden light that bega to look all too familiar to a certain Pokemon.
"Golett?" Applejack was confused by this sudden change in her Pokemon.
Golett's form began to shift and change, his body growing larger and more powerful. His limbs became thicker and more muscular, his stature becoming more imposing. His eyes glowed with an intense light as he unleashed a powerful roar that echoed through the factory.
The familiar form of the Golett shifted and grew, its body expanding and changing shape. The once small and unassuming Pokémon evolved into a towering being.
All the other Golett watched as their fellow Ghost-Ground-Type underwent his final form at last. They could feel the power radiating from him, the sheer force of his presence filling them with awe and respect.
He had evolved into Golurk.
"Golurk!" He roared as his voice rippled across the area with great power.
"What?!" Second Wind exclaimed in shock. "He evolved from that?! W-Was it the Rift Energy that forced him into it? Or was it the strain itself...!?"
"I don't know, but I'm not gonna question it!" Applejack exclaimed with a grin, her eyes lighting up with glee. "Look at you partner! Took a while but we got here!"
"Gol." He gave a thumbs up, moving one hand away to do so while using the other to hold back the ball.
"Alright! Show me what you can do now!"
"Golurk!" Golurk nodded his head as he would unleash a powerful Earthquake attack, causing the ground to shake violently. The tremors caused the factory's remaining structures to collapse, creating a cloud of dust and debris.
The soldiers were caught off guard by the sudden quake, their movements thrown off balance as they struggled to maintain their footing. The Cosmic Energy ball wavered for a moment, its power faltering as Golurk's attack disrupted Second Wind's concentration.
The force of the attack even split the floor in half to a massive degree, causing Second Wind to fall down into the lower levels of the factory as the Earthquake even affected her in the air which should be impossible, but Golurk made sure the golden shockwaves of the attack reached her.
"Wah!" She would fall down into the lower levels of the factory, her Unown following after her.
The Unown would use Hidden Power to catch Second Wind from falling even before she could use her wings to save herself.
"Golurk! Use Earthquake again!" Applejack commanded.
"Golurk!" This time, Golurk would throw the large ball of cosmic Energy, using his newfound strength to his advantage. He turned his lower half into jet boosters like how most Golurk do, taking flight while carrying the ball. He would then throw it directly at the massive machine in the centre, remembering why they were all here in the first place.
The ball of Cosmic Energy collided with the machine, causing it to explode in a brilliant flash of light. The resulting explosion caused a chain reaction, destroying the factory's remaining structures and machinery. The force of the blast shook the entire area, sending shockwaves through the air and ground.
The Unown would protect Second Wind from the blast, using their own powers to shield her from harm. However, the force of the explosion was too much for them to handle, and they were soon overwhelmed by the sheer power of the blast.
The machine had been destroyed, all functions of it ceasing in one go. And once it was destroyed, the real source of power beneath was revealed. The Rift Pool itself, absolutely massive in size, was now exposed.
"There it is." Applejack grinned at this sight, adjusting her hat. Nearby, the Wonderbolt saw this happen while they were approaching the machine, startled by this sight, but it was a huge benefit for them. Now they saw the Rift Pool out in the open and all that was left to do was for Applejack to enter it and destroy it with her Aura.
With Golurk appearing, a greater strength had finally emerged to help in this conflict. And with the Rift Pool out in the open, if it is destroyed, the Solar Empire with undoubtedly lose a major location for their gateways without a doubt. Second Wind just wouldn't allow it.
As the journey continues.
