My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Prepped for Summer Camp
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe Human World. Sci-Twi's Home. Day.
Currently, Sci-Twi was readying herself for Summer Camp for the summer. She had everything packed up. All of her Alpha Pokemon, at least, the ones who were able to move around in her home without crowding it were moving around.
"Alright. That's everything." She said. "This enough to last me the few weeks. Considering how things are right now, I bet a lot of Pokemon-related things are bound to come up in that camp."
"Are we gonna see some Pokemon there?" Spike, who was a dog in this parallel world, asked.
"Probably." Sci-Twi lowered herself to face him. "With how things are now, expect to see a lot of Pokemon. Maybe even a rare one."
"That just gives me a bad feeling." Spike grumbled.
"Don't worry. I actually have a good feeling about this one, Spike." Sci-Twi reassured as she got her stuff ready as she proceeded to leave her house, returning her Alpha Pokemon to their Poke Balls. All except Alpha Pikachu, of course, who ran to her side. "Sorry it's going to take a while. But don't worry, Ash will be back and hopefully you can spend a little time with him once he returns."
"Pika?"
"Mhm. I'm ready, Pikachu. Let's go!" Sci-Twi exclaimed before departing from her home. As soon as she exited those doors, present here were Fluttershy and the two Sunset Shimmers. Sunset Shimmer and her Human Counterpart who sometimes goes by Fiery. The two of them could be seen with bags of their own as both were heading for camp.
"You actually went through it? I'm surprised you were up for it to begin with." Sci-Twi said to Fiery.
"Eh. I don't have much to do right now so I figured it couldn't hurt." Fiery shrugged her shoulders. "Never went to camp once. Thought it was for dweebs. No offense, Twi."
"None taken. Well, best get going." Sci-Twi had all she needed as she departed with Fluttershy and the two Sunset's accompanying her on the road towards Camp. "Alright! Now I'm ready for some fun. I already called for Ash, so he'll be with us soon. And uh...he might have a one-of-a-kind surprise for us."
"What do you mean by that?" Sunset asked.
"He sounded different on the phone. That's because he apparently aged up thanks to some magic he got himself mixed up in. So...he'll probably look different. I've only heard his voice. I didn't see his face."
"An Older Ash?" Fiery started pondering for a moment, picturing him in her mind "Doesn't sound like such a bad thing. I wanna see that. F-For curiosity's sake, of course!"
"Well, while you called for Ash, I did the opposite. I called for Red." Sunset Shimmer revealed. "Summer's nearly over, so I figured I'd spend some of these remaining weeks with Red."
"Hoh? Any particular reason why?" Fiery nudged her counterpart who blushed. "Anything special going on between the two of you?"
"W-We're not a thing! I swear!" Sunset defended herself from Fiery's implications. "I just figured it couldn't hurt to see him."
"Well, I'm the same. I only asked Ash to come along." Sci-Twi nervously spoke up about it. "I thought it would be nice after all that's happened and I'm always glad to have him help me out."
Suddenly, Sunset's phone would start ringing, prompting her to pick it up while walking. "Hello?" Once she responded, the face on it shocked her as it was Adagio calling.
"Hey." The Dazzling girl answered back as Sunset immediately froze up after seeing her. "You and your school are heading to that camp right now, right? A bit slow right now, don't you think?"
"What are you talking about? You make it sound like you're there too." Sunset narrowed her eyes. "Wait...are you?"
"Hm-hm." Adagio had a cocky laugh. "I don't know. Maybe you should ask Red." Upon mentioning Red's name, Sunset let out a light gasp as Adagio turned her phone to show that Red was currently present there. Red turned around, looking at the phone with his usual stare before looking away. "Welp. Looks like I got to him first for this one. This is what we call a Precise Advantage!"
"Mmrgh...!" Sunset growled as she gripped her phone tighter while clenching her teeth tightly together as well as she glared directly at Adagio from where she stood. "I thought you would be too busy for stuff like this...!"
"A new development happened and now I'm here. Anyway, I'll be seeing you. Later~" Adagio hung up on her.
"Khhh...!" Sunset would put her phone away, her eyes facing the sky. "We have to get to the bus sooner than I thought!" She then bolted off ahead of the group without saying anything further as the three of them watched her.
"Y-You don't have to be so competitive!" Sci-Twi yelled while following her alongside Fluttershy and Fiery.
Elsewhere, at Canterlot Castle, Ash was ready to pass through the portal to the Human World. But as he was about to do so, in his hand, he held a Shift Stone. With this stone, he would be able to change his form into his true age, even if it was just a transformation. Technically, it would be his true self
As he was about to leave, here to see him off and talk to him was Princess Celestia and her younger sister Luna.
"Off right now? In that form of all things?" Celestia said to him.
"It's cool. I've got a Shift Stone on me. It'll be like I never changed. But after this, I'm going straight to Galar to get my real look back." Ash replied with a thumbs-up.
"Tch. So you won't stay like this forever..." Luna sighed with disappointment, looking to the side before clearing her throat. "On another subject, we've recently been told about that palace. The Unilight Palace."
"Luna and I are going to keep a good eye on it. So far, it, aside from your awakenings, is the largest relation we have to Prisma and that lost universe. The moment anything happens with it, you'll be the first to know." Celestia explained to Ash.
"Many thanks, Celestia. I can count on you two for this. If anything goes wrong, I know you'll handle it."
"But of course!" Celestia held her head up high. "But, after you sort out your little age thing. I have a request, Ash. It's been something that I've personally been waiting to happen and I do feel rather ready for it. When you have the time, you and I should have a Pokemon Battle. Do you accept?"
"Oh, yeah, I do! I'd love to battle you." Ash was up for it, as to be expected. "I'm guessing it's gonna be at the Equestria League stadium, right?"
"Mhm. I'd love to make it a big event. Besides, who wouldn't want to see the two of us battle? I bet many ponies have been saying to themselves 'It's been a long time coming' or 'Finally!'" Words such as that." Celestia chuckled.
"Well, it's a promise. After I'm done with this stuff, we'll battle it out. I know it's gonna be a lot of fun." Ash replied, gripping onto the Shift Stone as a cosmic light enveloped his body, his body shifting back to his true age. "Well, I'm off! See ya soon!"
"Pika!" Pikachu waved to them as the duo passed through the portal to the Human World with the Shift Stone turning Ash back into his true age in the process.
Equestria. Near Ponyville. Unilight Palace.
At Unilight Palace, Sombra would be present to keep an eye on the Pixies, making sure they aren't up to any trouble or leaving anytime soon. His gaze focused on them as the Pixies only gazed back at him with spiteful glares. He then sat down, his gaze still not faltering from them as he spoke up.
"It's best you keep those thoughts of yours to yourselves. Have a little peace in your hearts." His ominous tone caused the Pixies to sweat. "So do not test my patience."
"Hmph!" Was all they replied with. One of them, or rather, all of them began using some of their powers to create duplicates of themselves, scurrying away while unbeknownst to them, some of the duplicates were missing. The true Pixies couldn't tell who was who anymore and Sombra didn't care as he watched them.
"Pointless." With a simple use of his Dark Magic, he trapped the main group within a barrier while the ones he believed were the imposters headed out from the Unlight Palace without any problem. "Nice try, but this is of no real consequence. You're still stuck."
"Wha-?! Are you really such a tyrant?!" They cried out.
"I was once." Sombra let out a sinister grin that sent shivers through them. "I still have those tendencies if you must know. Especially to people like you. The boy may have shown his usual mercy and kindness to you, but I am not all that heartfelt. Mark my words, mess with him or them again and it will cost you."
"Y-You fiend! This is unjust and cruel! L-Let us out! This is our palace too!"
He didn't say anything and only shifted his head away with his signature grin. With his shadow magic, he used a beam to destroy all the duplicates that were heading out. "Just what did you think was going to happen? Stay here until he returns."
The Human World.
Back at the Human World, many of the students from Canterlot High were already on the bus in the middle of the road, heading for this camp. Sunset sighed heavily, slumping in her seat as everyone was just sitting back and relaxing. She ran all the way here and tired herself out.
While on the bus, Rainbow Dash had her sunglasses on with her earphones in her ears as she listened to music on her phone, bobbing her head to the beat slightly.
"Alright, you all." Principal Celestia turned her head, addressing her students. "When we get there, you can be sure to expect a plethora of Pokemon. Usually, that wouldn't be the case, but with how things are right now, all that Pokemon knowledge will come in handy. Well, what you know so far, at least."
"We still don't have our own Pokemon though." A student spoke. "Not all of us anyway."
"And neither do I." Celestia shrugged. "We're still new to this Pokemon thing. By at least 3 years, I believe. Leaning on 4. But in that time, we've learned enough to blend in and hopefully gain the ability to understand these adorable little creatures."
"You can totally understand 'em, just like Twilight!" Pinkie Pie exclaimed in excitement, pointing at Sci-Twi. "It's just like talking to your pet dog, cat or, if you wanna be exotic, pet Lion, which is just a big cat!"
"True. So, to remedy this, I'll spoil you with one of the camp activities. For those who haven't caught their own Pokemon, the camp will offer you a chance to catch your own Pokemon! Exciting, right?" Celestia sounded very enthusiastic, raising a finger.
"A start-up of our own?" One of the girls beside the door raised her hand. "An Eevee or a Eeveelution?"
"Anything." Celestia answered.
"I want a Wigglytuff! I hear they're so huggable, you can't ever break free of their hugs!" Said an affectionate Pinkie. "Well, that's what I want for me!"
"I wanna just grab myself a Bellossom!" Applejack exclaimed. "I just need something to get that Sun up and early and they can do just that! W-Well, that's what I hear anyway."
"Oh, how I'd love a Furfrou!" Rarity gushed, thinking of the many styles the Pokemon has and going crazy thinking about them all. All of them, at least, the ones who didn't have Pokemon went on about the Pokemon they'd love to have. All of them had their preferences. So many options, all for their own unique reasons.
"I wish I had a Pokemon of my own." Vice-Principal Luna pouted, having the desire for her own Pokemon as well. No matter the age, everyone had their desires. The same goes for Celestia herself. She raised her hand and pondered to herself. 'With my luck, maybe something flashy will come up..."
At the Summer Camp known as Camp Everfree, before any of the students had shown up, everything had been set up. A lot of things here were the standard camp activities but now, there were also Pokemon here, much to the confusion and excitement of the current staff.
And currently working here, but only as a ruse was of course, Team Rocket.
"I'm getting Deja Vu." Jessie said, tugging on the Camp Employee uniform she wore. "Didn't we do something like this before?"
"Doesn't matter. Unlike before, success is due." James raised a finger to his head. "The Twerp isn't going to be around this time. Instead, it's those new Twerpettes and their school, so this will be a cinch for us."
"Once they get here, we play our part as workers and at the right moment, we nab all those Pokemon at night. They'll be too tuckered out from all those activities." Meowth went over the plan they came up with.
"And to make sure we succeed, we have this. Our ace in the hole." Jessie would hold out a potion, wiggling it around. "It took some hard work, but I pulled it off. It's the best potion I've ever made. Well, it's the second one I've ever made successfully anyways."
"What does it even do?" James questioned.
"Let's just say-" Before Jessie could finish, someone interrupted her.
"Hey." A voice cried out to them both. That voice, upon turning around to see the one behind it, came from Adagio who glared at them as she approached. Behind her were her two sisters as always, and even they were wearing the Camp Employee outfit as well. "The higher-ups say they need more help setting up the camp's preparations. Quit standing around and help out already. We're both Temps here."
"Handle it yourself." Jessie turned around while James waved it off.
"Kh!" Adagio scowled. "As if. You showed up here for temporary work like us, so you're doing it. The three of us aren't setting up all those tents you know. The others are too busy setting up other stuff, so it's just the six of us."
"Yeah, help us out here. Please!" Sonata put her hands together in front of her face, pouting in a pleading motion. It was quite convincing too.
"Aww...Aren't you supposed to be full of energy for your ages?" Jessie smirked at Adagio, already knowing a bit about her. Adagio couldn't see Jessie's disguise, unaware of who this really was. The two of them have had a confrontation before in the past and it was a real catfight, so naturally, Jessie was still feeling vindictive. "Looks like you're lacking in that department, and I'm older, which stings."
"Yeah. An old lady." Adagio sneered, prompting Jessie to stagger. "Set up the tents, grandma."
"Why you...!" Jessie bared her teeth as she and Adagio butted heads with pure brute force and intense scowls. Their heads hit each other, not going down without the other as Sonata and James looked on with concerned gazes. "You kids nowadays have no respect for your elders, huh? A lesson on manners are in due order!"
"Hah! So you admit you're a grandma!" Adagio smirked while trying to push Jessie back. "At least you're wholly honest! That honesty's about as long as your hair!"
"My hair's long?! Yours is too big!" Jessie would also target Adagio's hair as both of them had opposing hair types. One was long while the other was big. The two continued to bicker for a while, having all types of insults in store. Jessie and Adagio shared a similar ferocity that only they possessed.
The other Camp Counsellors saw this bickering from afar, a bit stunned to see their co-workers bickering like a bunch of youngster. Some were amused and actually expecting it as they let out a snicker before turning away, choosing not to intervene in what was before them.
"Well, at least they have high energy. We need that kind of energy for camp nowadays." Said one Counsellor, seeing it from another angle.
"True. Maybe that'll get the students invested this time. I hope this Canterlot High is already invested with all that we've set up. What about that lurking problem?"
"You mean that strange Pokemon? I hope it doesn't show up and mess things up this time. I still don't have a clue what it wants..." Another Counsellor replied, mentioning a Pokemon that was lurking somewhere around here. They were unable to identify it, but they knew it existed. And yet, they would keep the camp running even with that factor.
But as they were chatting and setting things up, in the deep parts of this camp, deep in the trees, six yellow eyes gleamed in the shade of the large tree as the sun's rays filtered between the leaves and branches and fell on the Pokemon. It let out a silent cry before vanishing into the shades. Aria felt like she heard something ominous, her head raised, before bringing her vision to the side. No sign of a Pokemon or anything.
At the same time, the bus had finally arrived with the Canterlot High Students hopping off and waving at the Counsellors who welcomed them with enthusiasm. 'Ah. The excitement is back!' Celestia thought as she waved back at the students. At this camp, the camp counsellors would be with the students throughout everything. It was required for them after all.
As the students roamed around the camp site with the Counsellors for the camp explaining everything, those same six eyes moved around, eyeing down the students that had shown up. And once more, without anyone noticing it, it vanished from plain sight as the journey continues.
