The Poke-Conclave

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Galar. Eldrigeshire City. Afternoon.

Eldrigeshire City.

A city located at the far, far northeastern corner of Galar. The place was rather cold and cloudy. As one would expect from a city situated close to the ocean. A place filled with mountains and snowy peaks. It was the perfect environment for an area named Eldridge.

Ash and Twilight, having arrived here via train, stood on a hill that oversaw this city. "This looks like the place, but we're gonna need to check. The Nimbus Reach doesn't even exist on the map." Twilight was holding the map and she was a little unsure about whether or not they were at the right place. "Just look for anything that seems out of the ordinary."

"Anything out of the ordinary..." Ash looked yonder with Pikachu, searching for something that could appear unique. But so far, they saw nothing. Even from this height, nothing could be spotted. The city looked rather normal from up here. "Nothing yet..."

"In that case, we'll head into the city right away. Come on."

Entering the city, just from the entrance alone, they saw that it was rather large and had everything you could expect from a big town, or even a small city. A market, restaurants, cafes, hotels, a train station, and many other facilities. There were also plenty of attractions and sightseeing locations. The entire city seemed to be very tourist-oriented, with the residents making it a point to make visitors feel at home.

The duo stood at the entrance, admiring the sights. But as they were about to enter, they were met with an old man, having his Machoke pull a carriage of Pokemon Eggs, most likely being taken somewhere safe. He gave the two a wave and a friendly greeting. "Visitors? At this time? Oh, welcome, welcome. I assume you're here for the event?"

"Event?" Ash and Twilight said in unison.

"The Poke-Conclave. Are you not here for it? Everyone has been talking about it." The elder spoke, a smile on his face. "Seems like you showed up with a bit of poor timing."

"Poke-Conclave? What's that?" Ash asked, wanting to know.

"Mm, sometimes here in Eldrigeshire or somewhere else big figures tend to come over for a held event. I believe it's similar to that Grand Galloping Gala you have back in Equestria, right? Not much dancing I don't think." The old man continued. "We get a bunch of special people and trainers from different areas to come over from time to time. Quite the publicity."

"Hm. Now's a bad time to show up, huh? But uh..." Twilight thought for a moment. "Quick question. Have you seen something that looks new or out of the ordinary? A landmark, or some kind of place."

"Oh, yes." The old man replied without a second thought. "That new attraction."

"New attraction?"

"It was found not too long ago. Just about... 5 or 6 weeks ago." We aren't sure how it appeared but it placed itself in our city. In fact, this year's Poke-Conclave is involving that place I do believe so. It's become the newest attraction for the guests to view."

"Really?! What does it look like?! Does anything about it scream royal to you?!" Twilight leaned in.

"Royal?" The old man blinked twice, trying to think hard about it's appearance. "Mmmrgh...How do I describe it? It looked almost like a regular field from a first glance. But at the same time, it doesn't look natural at all. Almost like an illusion. Like a dream. It's strange and otherworldly, and the air around it feels strange. But I did notice that it had a Water Spring of some sort. That Water didn't seem natural whatsoever."

"Hm-hm." Ash and Twilight nodded, taking all this information in.

"Now that I think about it, it spawned right near the Conclave's building. Thanks to that, it's now the newest attraction. If you want to see it, you'll have to go there."

"Aw, really?" Twilight groaned. "We'll need to attend this thing if we want to see that area, huh?"

"I'm afraid so. You should have received an invitation for it, but alas, it seems you are completely new here. Those bouncers are also quite the handful." The old man chuckled. "They can be very hard to get by."

"Hmm...In that case, we'll have to get in there in the only way possible. We have to go through as famous figures." Twilight smiled, having a plan.

"Aren't you already famous though? You're the Princess of Friendship." Ash asked.

"I am but...I don't have an invitation. Neither do you. You're the King of the Sea which is arguably bigger than anyone in there. That should easily do the trick." Twilight added.

"Sweet. So we just head in and say I'm the King of the Sea and that's it." Ash gave a thumbs-up, finding it incredibly straightforward.

"You will have to hurry then." The Old Man turned to his eggs, readjusting one of their positions. "That location you're looking for and anything else in there could be auctioned off.

"Auctioned off?!" Ash gasped, shocked to hear this.

"You heard me right. I don't know how this conclave is done, but it involves lots of money. Lots and lots of money. Some of the people who show up have a lot of money to spend and I heard that a new item that appeared here was brought to the attention of the leaders, and they want to auction it off to the highest bidder."

"But how are they gonna auction an entire location? That's impossible!" Twilight shook her head in disbelief. She had to see this for herself but her mind raced to a few answers. "Unless...Either they have their Pokemon pull it off...Or something else is used...Like Rift Energy!"

"You'd be surprised what they can do in there. Anyways, I should get going. These eggs will be hatching fairly soon after all. You two take care." The Elder rode his Machoke down the street. "I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for."

Ash and Twilight looked back at him and waved, hoping they would too. "Alright. Change of plans, Ash. If they're gonna auction the Nimbus Reach off, whether it's the location or something in it, we have to change that. The Pixies mentioned something about a Pokemon being in there, didn't they? Sounds to me like that Pokemon hasn't taken action yet so it's either not there or asleep. Either way, one thing's for sure...We're going to have to buy it ourselves!"

"Got it. But uh...do we even have enough money to buy it?" Ash said.

"Hmm...Auctions are usually expensive, especially ones that involve popular figures. You have a lot of money, Ash, but after you helped out with Fluttershy's Pokemon House, how much do you think you have now?"

"Mmrgh..." Ash wasn't sure. He hasn't checked at all. But if he had to guess, due to how much money he used to help expand the Pokemon House, a gigantic chunk had been taken. And considering many people were about to offer huge amounts of money in this auction, they might not have enough. "Probably not a lot. What about you? Don't you have a lot of money?"

"I don't carry money with me, Ash. I use the castle's funds when it comes to traveling outside Equestria."

"Oh." Ash sighed, thinking that it might be an issue.

"Don't worry, I got an idea! For starters, you won't be going as the King of the Sea...We'll switch it up. I'll be going as the popular figure this time. But not as the Princess of Friendship." Twilight smiled, using her magic to dig into her saddlebag. From it, she took out a Shift Stone. "And I'll be dressed as a fake figure."

"Seriously? Will that work?" Ash and Pikachu tilted their heads, looking at the stone.

"It'll do just fine. I'll make myself look like the Human Version of me, but in this mature state and of course, I'll make sure I dress good too~" Twilight winked, hatching her plan. And to make myself look extra popular, I'll need a bodyguard and you look the part. You look buff enough, Ketchum."

"Oh, I get it! Yeah, I think we can pull this off!" Ash was feeling the plan, giving a thumbs-up.

"Hehehe. Perfect." Twilight was satisfied. Of coruse, there was also the money problem they had to get past for the auction part. But that look in Ash's eyes said it all. He also had something in mind for when that ripe moment comes.

With both of them holding onto the Shift Stone, they were about to transform. More so Twilight, who would take on a human form while Ash would simply gain the clothes of a bodyguard.

The Poke-Conclave.

Celebrities and rich people kept coming into the large building that hosted this event, travelling far and wide as some even used gateways to get here. There was a massive amount of security here and many reporters were present, getting everything on camera.

Large, muscular guards accompanied by intimidating Pokémon like Pangoro and Machamp stand at the doors, checking invitations and verifying the identities of each guest. The event is clearly meant to be exclusive, and the guests exude an air of confidence and importance.

Droves after droves of popular came in, approved by the bouncer. The large building hosting the event is a grand structure, reminiscent of a medieval castle, with tall spires and superb stonework with some marble being the most prominent. Itwas illuminated by the soft glow of lanterns and flickering torches.

"Approved." A bouncer said to a duo who would soon pass through, the pair entering. Now, he waited for the next people to arrive to see if they were invited or not and right up ahead came two certain figures.

One of which was a tall woman with fair purple skin and a truly spectacular gown that accentuated her figure. Her deep blue hair was styled into an elaborate and elegant hairdo. Her lips were a luscious, bright pink and she was dressed up elegantly with a pair of white heels and a pearl necklace. She carried herself with an air of regality and elegance.

Her attire was made from some very fine material, probably worth more than the entire building she was in, and it was adorned with a number of accessories such as jewellery and gems. It was very expensive.

And behind the woman was a tall, strong man who was dressed up like a bodyguard, wearing a suit and a fedora hat. The man had black hair and was very strong, muscular and bulky, almost like he could rival some of these Pokémon. His eyes were a deep dark brown. He seemed to radiate a presence of strength, authority and confidence, yet remained calm and professional.

The bouncer eyed the duo carefully, checking his list. The list also came with faces just for extra validity and from what he could see, this woman was not on here.

Ohohoho!" Obviously, this was Twilight, as she let out a high and mighty laugh, holding a fan in her hand. "This is the Poke-Conclave, r? Charmed to be here!" She laughed. "Oh, how I can't wait to see how this year turns out."

"Espeon." Backing her up was Eve, standing beside her. Eve was even dressed up, mainly being given accessories as the Shift Stone granted them to her.

"Hm...You don't look to be on the list, Miss..." The Bouncer needed to know her name beforehand.

"It's Lady Sparkle. Wealthy and prestigious owner of the Sparkling Diamonds establishment and one of the largest palaces the world opposite to this. The Human World as you all may call it." She answered, coming up with a fake location. But to really mask it, she chose the world her Human Counterpart lives in as the location. "What's this about me not being on the list?"

"You aren't. No name or face recognition." He showed it to them as it was more than obvious.

"Not on the list you say?" She smirked before suddenly taking out something. Twilight prepared for this, using the Shift Stone to fabricate something from scratch. "Then would my invite prove sufficient?"

From the woman's hand came a fancy, beautiful and glittery invite with her fake name and the words of the event. A golden seal and signature could be seen on it, and she believed that this was proof enough that the lady was allowed inside

The bouncer saw it and blinked twice, seeing the invite. "W-What?! That's not even the signature appearance of the invite! It looks completely different!" The bouncer was sure to be careful as there was already a certain look for the invites and this was not it.

"Read it and weep~ For someone like me, being the first person from that world to come here, I received a nice little design for it. Neat, wouldn't you agree? Now, I have an event to get into, so if you would pleasure move aside, that would be wonderful, okay?" Twilight would have her hand gesture at the bouncer.

"I have to verify this first before anything, Lady Sparkle." The bouncer was a tough one, just as the old man said. Not so easy to get past.

"Hm? Even when I was promised that this would be the best experience of my life? I was told that the Poke-Conclave was one that people like me would love from start to finish and since this is my first time here, I must say, I'm starting to get disappointed. Not quite the wonderful experience I was promised. If I am not satisfied, I could easily shut this whole event down."

"What?! T-That's preposterous!" The Bouncer exclaimed.

"Is it? My money's a lot bigger than all the people in this city. In fact, you could say I have more money than all of this region put together. I am the first guest from the Human World and I am not having a pleasant time at all." Twilight would play her role as a spoiled woman. "We wouldn't want that, would we? This job must pay you well and for you to be the cause of this event ending early and being shut down forever would be terrible for you, wouldn't it? Kindly move aside~"

"Still, I-" The bouncer then paused as he looked up to see Ash approaching.

"She said move aside." Ash spoke in a deep tone while adjusting his black glasses. The voice he had was intimidating, but not only that, so was his presence. The bouncer and even his Pokemon did not see it coming. Ash's presence in this state was rather staggering and it was hard to comprehend.

The bouncer and the Pokemon were stunned. Their own serious personalities were quickly shut down in the presence of Ash. In his original age, Ash would never have been able to pull this off for even a second. But as this much taller and mature man, one that looks a lot like Prisma, that changed. In fact, the bouncer and his Pokemon, for a brief second, saw a flash.

A flash of Prisma. It was a brief visage of him but they saw it. They had no idea who he was, all that they knew that he was terrifying. Because of this, the bouncer submitted, out of fear he allowed them through.

"A-Approved..."

Twilight held her head up high, elegantly walking through with Ash and Espeon, all three of them walking down the large hallway, passing by many other guests, celebrities, and important figures.

Now inside, they saw it all for themselves.

The interior of the building is even more opulent than the outside. Chandeliers made of crystal hang from the high ceilings, and the floors are covered in rich, red carpets. Several rooms branch off from the main hall, each filled with groups of people chatting, sipping on expensive drinks, and observing various Pokémon displays.

"Hm. Looks like the intimidation factor worked better than I expected." Twilight said, unaware that Prisma's visage played a part in it. But Ash did look rather intimidating dressed as this. As for the invitation, the transformation ended. With a small cosmic spark, it was revealed that Twilight's Cinccino was one who took on the form of the fake invitation.

"C-Cinccino..." There was a noticeable drawback. Cinccino, also known as Minccy, was dizzy. Usually, that never happens with the Shift Stone, but by turning into an item, it brought drawbacks.

"Sorry, Minccy. Rest up." Twilight would return her to her Poke Ball. "Looks like turning into items needs to be worked on, or at least something to make it easier."

"We can't turn items into other items with the Shift Stone though. We would've totally used a pebble or something." Ash replied. The Shift Stone only worked on living beings, at least at their most efficient. Other items were out of the question for the time being.

They were aware that Volo did manage to pull something like that off, but that mainly seemed to be the Arcane Sea at play. Not the Shift Stone. Against the actual Shift Stone, it was a No-Go.

Twilight and Ash make their way through the crowd, eyes peeled for any sign of the new attraction or the auction area. Twilight leaned over to Ash and whispered, "Remember, we need to reach the Auction Hall more than anything. It doesn't look like it's time for the auction just yet, so let's wait it out."

"Got it. But. uh... Dragonite and the others are gonna need a lot of rest after this. We'll be sitting pretty with money thanks to the Shift Stone, no doubt about it, but that Shift Stone's gonna hit them with some major drawbacks." It was revealed that the massive money for the auction would be Ash and Twilight's other Pokemon, using the Shift Stone.

"Right. The best thing to do is have them leave the transformation right now. We'll have them take on those forms once the auction starts, so for now, have them stay in their regular forms. That way, they don't suffer a huge drawback." Twilight explained, having a simple solution to this problem.

For that, they had to go elsewhere private to undo the transformation, making sure they didn't seem suspicious at all. They did have some guests eye them, mostly Twilight, but their eyes weren't focused on her for long. The attention was quickly switched over to other things.

And once that was done, they could simply hang around in this event before the auction can begin.

Ash and Twilight decided to check things out a bit, looking at all the displays that were showcased and the Pokémon that were there, all of which were incredibly beautiful and stunning. These Pokémon were dressed for the occasion, wanting to show off their looks as well.

There were also food and drink available. Of course, these were top-quality, and Ash was already getting into the atmosphere of the event, wanting to have a nice meal. Pikachu felt the same as bot of their stomachs were growling. "Man that stuff looks good...Pikachu, what do you think?"

"Pi..." The Mouse Pokémon drooled. "Pikachu~"

Unable to contain their hunger, the two of them made their way to a buffet. So many wonderful options, some of Galar's finest dishes and beverages.

Twilight and Ash got their food and drinks, eating to their heart's content. The taste was exquisite, nothing short of being a delight for their tongues. Both Ash and Pikachu ate and drank the most as always. Of course, the way Ash ate attracted the eyes of many here, not even trying to be discreet as his table manners were atrocious, spilling his drink and causing a mess.

Some of the staff came and offered their assistance, helping Ash clean up his mess. Twilight blushed, feeling a bit embarrassed by Ash's eating habits, but she let out a light smile, knowing that this is just who he was. She was no different. If she had an array of Hayburgers in front of her right now, Twilight would devour it viciously.

Spotting Ash's eating habits were none other than Kimia and Raleigh of the Azoth Kingdom. They also showed up for this event alongside their Magearna as always. "Goodness...The way that man eats." Kimia sighed. "Is it just me or does that man remind you of someone? Raleigh?"

"Hmm...Reminds me of Ash, that's for sure." Raleigh responded, laughing a bit. "But he's taller."

"M-Magearna." The robot Pokémon said in agreement, finding his mannerisms familiar.

"Well, just like Ash, he doesn't seem to mind people looking at him, so more power to him." Kimia shrugged it off, not realizing that it actually was Ash.

While Ash was eating, Twilight made sure to listen in on any conversations, using her magic to enhance her hearing a bit. She wondered if something about the Nimbus Reach would come up and what it could do. Perhaps someone has already experienced it or even seen the Pokemon there.

It didn't take long before Twilight picked up on a conversation, one involving a couple of rich folks, both males and females, who were standing around a table, chatting away and talking about this new place that just appeared.

"It's like a Spring of some sort, isn't it?" A Female member of the group spoke. "Oh, the Nimbus Reach. Sounds so strange, doesn't it? Just how did a place like that appear?"

"From what I've heard, apparently there was a bright light, a massive one, and then the landmass just formed right before their eyes." A male responded.

"But isn't the spring in there...Weird?" Another man said, drinking from his cup.

"The spring is the strangest part, yes. For the most part it just looks like a field, but apparently, there are clouds there too. Not even high up but on ground level instead."

"The spring's not the only strange part." Another man replied. "Have you ever experienced anything unusual in a place like that? You know, like a feeling?"

"Feeling?" The group was puzzled.

"My friend told me that this place was not normal. The air felt very weird, like it was an illusion." He described the experience.

"Ah, I understand what you mean." A woman replied. "When I saw it, the first time, it felt so strange. The air there didn't feel right. It felt like the ground would crumble, like a dream."

"You're telling me! The same thing happened to me when I visited it! I felt like the world was about to end. So weird."

"You know...I've always thought this...Is that place even safe to be in or even auction for?" Another woman spoke. "The water looks unnatural, the air feels like an illusion and I'm afraid to see what's going on at night. You know, it's still a mystery why a place like that even appeared."

"Oh, I've always been a fan of mysterious things." A man chuckled, thinking this was the opposite of that. "If anything, this will be a fun addition to the event and even an opportunity to explore what this landmass is capable of. You don't think it's one of those places?"

"Those random locations from that Lost Universe? Probably. All the more reason to check it out. But as for the Pokemon there, I heard that it looked out of the ordinary. It looked like a Lampent but there was something off about it from what I hear." At last, valuable information was given. Twilight learned that the people here already predicted that this area was from the Lost Universe. But more importantly, the Pokemon was apparently a Lampent.

"Hm...A weird-looking Lampent." Twilight thought for a moment, holding her chin. "Maybe an Equestrian Lampent? Maybe..." She assumed that it was a regional variant if it was so odd to look at. Twilight definitely had to look into it when the time for the auction comes.

Wanting to know more, eventually, Twilight began speaking to all the other people here, keeping up her fake persona and asking a series of questions. Her main questions were regarding the Pokemon, and it seemed that not much was known, aside from the fact that there was a Lampent within the location and the feeling that the location gives.

That strange feeling the place brings is rather hard to describe. All Twilight knew was that the people here felt an odd, yet dangerous feeling that it emits. Something not quite right about it and that is exactly why the Conclave is holding this auction.

To find out what the location is capable of.

"That's usually the reason we hold these events." One of the women spoke to Twilight, revealing the reason for the auction. "It's always about knowing what we're getting ourselves into, and if there are Pokemon in there, well, that's something that can help us understand a lot more."

"Huh. So...Are you actually going to buy the entire place? Even removing it from its spot?" Twilight asked.

"Pah. We only do that to something that needs to be moved. No way we're bringing an entire area, Sparkle. It would take up too much space and be inconvenient. And besides, from what we hear, it's the water that matters. There' something about it. Whatever it may be, we could maybe use it to make something new. Perhaps a new type of potion."

"Is this place also where ideas for Pokemon Essentials come from? Like Potions or even Poke Balls?"

"Not really. Others are more focused on that, but, here at the Poke-Conclave, if we receive something, we can actually distribute it across other regions. That way, new items can be made, innovating fresh ideas that benefit us and everyone else. It can be rather hit or miss." A woman pouted.

"We've gotten some pretty terrible ideas. Sometimes it's like, oh my goodness. You'd think a company would think a little before selling this." The man next to her sighed, taking a sip from his drink.

"And sometimes you get things that are a breath of fresh air, things you would never have imagined and can change the way Trainers do things itself. Granted, that's rather rare and here at the Conclave, we're always chasing that perfect item. What about you, Lady Sparkle? What do you think? You come from that Human World and you're already knowledgeable about Pokemon."

"Ah. not much." Twilight giggled. "For my Sparkling Diamonds Organization, I'd rather just go for something that would make my products dazzle, that's all. It's a magical time for everyone back in my world after all, so anything from here will be like a Fairy Tale come to life."

"I'll say. Equestria feels more like a Fairy Tale land if you ask me. Still a lot coming from that place that we learn of. I suppose the thing that sticks out the most is the Princesses. Especially that one Princess. Princess Twilight, wasn't it?" One of the men brought up Twilight's name, surprising her.

"Oh, yes. A lovely girl, isn't she?" One of the women giggled. "Her friends as well. They're quite the rising figures, aren't they? Especially when they hang around that one boy. What's his name again? Ash Ketchum? Apparently, he's the King of the Sea. Can you believe that?"

"That kid, the King of the Sea?" A man questioned. "I still don't believe it, if you ask me."

"Believe it." Walking over was Kimia, getting involved in this conversation. "I found it hard to believe too, but if my little brother can be the prince of an entire Kingdom, then this is very much possible."

"K-Kimia! I wanna be referred to as a King!" Raleigh exclaimed to his big sister.

"Not at all." Kimia wagged her finger. "For that, you'll still need a Princess for that to happen. You know this. Although..." Kimia had a sly grin form on her face while looking down at her brother. "There is someone you've been thinking of for a while."

"Gh!" Raleigh was stunned by that. Kimia knew who Raleigh's Current and First-Ever Crush was. Hilda. Ever since he bumped into her at the Gala, the young prince would have dreams of her every now and then, fantasizing about her. It's something that Kimia would tease him about.

"Oooh! Is your brother perhaps seeing someone special, Kimia?" A woman asked.

"You could say that. Quite the girl too." She smiled, causing her brother to blush. The young prince raised his shirt, covering his face out of embarrassment while Magearna patted him on the back.

"Don't feel too bad about it, Prince Raleigh." Twilight spoke to him, wanting to share something to Raleigh. "To be honest, I was in a similar spot as you for a while. Your First Crush often makes you react like this. Believe me. I would know." She then looked at Ash over at the buffet table.

"Really?" Raleigh lowered his shirt.

"Yup. So, don't worry about it. Whoever she may be, just know that your feelings for her will always stay true. Who's the lucky girl that you've fallen for anyway?" Even Twilight couldn't help but wonder. "A Princess, maybe?"

"She's a Princess in my eyes..." Raleigh said with a rather silly look on his face. "Her name is Hilda. I met her at the Grand Galloping Gala. By accident, but totally fate!"

"...Eh?" Twilight blinked, realizing he was referring to that same Hilda she was friends with.

"Ah, Hilda..." Raleigh let out a deep sigh. Despite bumping into her for a brief moment, just the look of her sent Raleigh into this daydreaming state as visages of Hilda showed up in his mind.

"As cute as that is...I believe she's a bit too old for you." Kimia laid it on straight to her little brother. Despite how he feels, there was no chance of them getting together.

"H-Huh?!" Raleigh was a bit sad. "It's fine! I'll just grow up fast enough to be with her! Easy!" And yet he stayed optimistic. "Just a few more years!"

"Attention, everyone!" Suddenly, someone spoke to everyone here.. "It is finally time! The Auction will be starting soon! Make your way over to the Auction Hall and find your seat. It's time to see what ideas you have now...and what might make it or not. Good luck as always."

"Ah. Looks like we gotta go. Hope we see you around." Kimia nodded her head to Twilight and left, taking Raleigh and Magearna along with her.

"Same." Twilight smiled. She was able to converse with these people, something she would enjoy, and she got some valuable info from them regarding the location. Twilight looked at Ash from a distance, nudging her head. That was their cue to get moving to the Auction Hall.

Ash noticed and nodded, heading on over with his full stomach. He was satisfied and ready to go. With that, the two of them followed the others as they went their way over to the Auction Hall, a grand location for such a big event.

They walked through a corridor until eventually making it to a massive room, the Auction Hall, and the seats were already occupied, with more people and Pokemon sitting in their seats, waiting for the Auction to start.

There was a stage on the front with a massive, white curtain draped over it, and it was obvious that this is where the event was about to start.

"Here we are." Twilight said.

"You think we'll get it? I'm sure lots of other people will want that Nimbus Reach too."

"Well, that's the whole point. Let's wait and see what it's all about first, shall we? The best thing to do is outbid all of them." Twilight wanted to take a good look at the location. It's better than simply guessing and thinking about it. They needed to have a look for themselves and see what they are truly dealing with.

Twilight and Ash got comfortable, taking a seat at the bottom, a front-row view. This whole event wasn't just people pitching ideas that would be bought, it was also the Pokemon doing it. The Pokemon themselves had things they wanted to pitch, and the Trainers would bid on it. These Pokemon mainly consisted of Psychic-Types, intelligent enough to craft something.

"Good evening, everyone!" Speaking to the crowd was an announcer, a woman dressed in a nice outfit, greeting all the attendees here. "I welcome you all to the Annual Auction and Pitch. We've got some great ideas this year and of course, a very exciting and mysterious location! For those of you who have just arrived, make sure to sit tight because things will be getting underway soon."

"The Pokemon also pitch things?" Twilight said with astonishment in her voice.

"Mhm." Kimia, who would soon sit next to Twilight confirmed this. "It's usually Psychic-Types do. Other Types don't seem to get that involved in it. My Gardevoir's actually come up with a few things here and there. This year, she's participating and ready to pitch something of her own. You should've seen what she came up with. She's really going for the win the crowd this time."

"Ah..." Twilight slowly nodded, eager to see that. "well, as for me, that's one thing I want to see. This new area that has come up. Mainly the water from it. There's something about it that sounds intriguing, doesn't it?"

"You mean that weird spring water that looks strange? It's like a rainbow and a prism unified. Very, very pretty to look at but strange. That's what they're saying anyways." Raleigh nodded his head, sitting down and waiting for the show to begin. "Not sure what the Lampent there is all about though, if we ever see it.

"Some suspect that it's from that Lot Universe. In fact, we're actually here because of that." Kimia revealed. Since she's a part of Celestia's alliance to ensure safety in the world from massive threats, Kimia was here to investigate the revived area. "Anything that relates to the threat of the man known as Prisma, we get involved right away."

It was good to know that they had some of their other friends active on the scene here, and Twilight felt a bit more confident in knowing that. Even if she can't purchase the Nimbus Reach in some way, she can at least count on Kimmia and Raleigh to do so. They were royalty after all. After a bit of chatter, the auction could begin.

It started off simple. Pokemon and Humans would show off their own creations, some of them being simple items, new Potions and whatnot, even new types of Poke Balls. Other than that, there were some items that could be useful for Trainers.

Of course, this was the boring part. For now, it was only items being displayed and nothing special was going on, not the real reason why Twilight and Ash were here. They needed to get that location and find out what it could do. They just had to wait for it to show up. Considering how it was being talked about, Twilight had to imagine that it would be the last thing here.

More auctions came by, showing an array of items, potions, Poke Balls, even new outfits for Pokemon and Trainers, something that could be beneficial. And it seemed like the crowd liked what they were seeing. The Pokemon here, who were all wealthy Trainers, were the ones that could afford all of these products.

Some were successful and some weren't, depending on the audience, which was made up of many Trainers. As they watched, the three of them began to chatter amongst themselves, having conversations of their own. The Pokemon talked with each other too, discussing about what they've made and what they wish to try again. Some of these items have already been shown in previous auctions and made comebacks.

But after some time, it was here. The main event. The moment they were all waiting for. This was the time that the suspected Nimbus Reach would be presented to everyone here, and it's safe to assume that most people wanted it, even the Pokemon. The announcer was there, standing behind a podium with a microphone in her hand, ready to begin this new display.

"Alright" The announcer said. "This is the main event, the time that the Pokemon and even the trainers themselves have waited for. There's a new area that came up that's quite strange. The water and clouds are the strangest part no doubt. So, if there are any Pokemon Profesors in the crowd, we'd love for you to get involved. If not, I'm counting on some of you to show this to any professor. But enough talk. Here is the Mysterious Unidentified Area's Spring Water!"

The curtains moved to reveal what was behind this area. This whole time, perfectly concealed too, was the location in question. A Psychic Field would diminsh, revealing an area unlike any other. And from what Ash and Twilight saw, their minds immediately reacted to its existence. The Prisma and Twilight Luminaria parts in them resonated a bit, confirming it to be true.

This was the Nimbus Reach. A beautiful field full of vibrant grass, clear, clean water and fluffy, white clouds. It's not even up high but on ground level, an abnormal sight indeed. And in the center was the spring, which was what caught their attention the most.

It was a large pool of water, filled with a beautiful prism color and shining brightly. The rainbow within the pool of water was not natural. It was something else entirely. "So...Beautiful." Twilight thought to herself, her eyes glued to the prism colours. "This is it. The Nimbus Reach."

"Awesome." Ash uttered out the same words Twilight thought to herself. It was obvious that their incarnations were reacting to this via memory interaction, seeing their own reflection in the water. It was a surreal experience.

"Amazing. Look at it..." Kimia marveled at the beautiful scenery, a place she had never seen before. It was truly breathtaking, and yet, it felt strange and offputting. As a Princess of Azoth, it was her job to figure out what it is.

"Wow. The way it looks so unnatural." Raleigh pointed out. It was even more stupendous because from what they could all see, there was more to it in the distance. To think that this area was impossible to see from a high place but was perfectly visible here.

Quite the confusion scenario. As they were all marvelling at this place that looked absolutely stunning, a voice spoke out, grabbing their attention. Before they could even start making any bids, the voice stole the room.

"Prisma..." A voice spoke the name of Prisma, in a rather harrowing and raspy way. A voice that came from someone in the location. The voice echoed across the room as it was clearly directed towards Ash. Ash stayed silent, keeping his gaze focused on the spring and the field.

"Prisma..." The voice spoke his name again, the voice sounding rather ominous, making some of the people worry.

"Gee...Uh, I was about to say if any Professor in the crowd wants to solely research on this but...what's that sound?" The man in charge of the auction was also confused. No one expected this at all.

"So it is Prisma related..." Kimia uttered, narrowing her eyes.

"You...You'll pay..." The voice said something else as a light began to shine in the spring water, growing brighter and brighter, catching everyone's attention, especially the bidders here. "You will pay, Prisma..."

"!" Ash then sensed something coming his way. At high speeds, the dazzling water shot straight out of the spring and into the air, aiming straight at the audience and Ash, ready to crash. Ash managed to get out of the way, grabbing Twilight in the process and holding her close.

"Aah!" Twilight yelped as the water crashed into Ash's seat, destroying it. The impact was enough to blow everything away, causing the other bidders and attendees to fly out of their seats. The stage and podium were completely destroyed by the crash as well. The entire room shook from the blast, making a huge amount of dust go up in the air, and everyone was blown away, either crashing into the chairs or flying onto the stage.

And then, that's when it showed itself.

Appearing from the water was Lampent. And once it showed itself, the odd appearance that was spoken about made sense. Ash and Twilight knew what they were looking at. This wasn't just a Lampent.

It was a Subspace Lampent.

A Subspace Pokemon that found itself here. They could tell it was that same category of Pokemon based on the astral energy that made up its body. But they only expected to see Subscape Pokemon in that other dimension.

But it's here in this world now, and the first thing the Pokemon did was lock onto Ash. Since Subspace Pokemon were also from the Lost Universe, it was only natural that this Lampent would sense Prisma with ease.

"Prisma...!" Seemingly using telepathy, Lampenty angrily spoke to Ash as all eyes were on him. Ash stood up while holding onto Twilight, his gaze masked by the glasses.

But his eyes were currently narrowed. Right now, he was coming face to face with yet another individual who wishes to exact revenge on Prisma, much like the Pixies as the journey continues.
