My Little Pokémon: Grander World
At Last! A Breach

Celestia would stay up, practicing for the upcoming battle soon. She isn't usually this active at night, opting to sleep after a long day of work, but not this time. Especially after she had made peace with herself and Daybreaker, becoming stronger than ever, which allowed for even greater stamina.
"Ash is 100% going to use his Aura in our battle. I'll have to match it with my magic. This technique is important to me, so I better have it down. For Ash's sake." Celestia began to focus, holding her hoof up. The moonlight shined brightly, covering her entire body.
The moonlight would soon mix with Celestia's magic, creating a sphere of great power. The sphere grew, growing brighter and brighter. Celestia kept her focus, looking at the sphere in front of her.
"Almost there...!" She thought. The sphere would grow larger and larger until...It exploded in a brilliant flash of white light, taking over Celestia's entire body.
The Radiant One was shrouded in pure white. With her mind and body sharp, she was ready to try it again, already working on perfecting herself. She would keep the process up, forming more spheres of incredible power, each one causing her body to glow. The magic she received after accepting who she was would come into play, making her shine like the Sun.
Celestia had a bit to improve on before her battle with Ash. And she was going to work hard to do so. Of course, she was working hard with her Pokemon as well. Passion, Reshiram, Alcremie, Kommo-o and Arcanine were all about to do their best. Her other Pokemon, Cinderace, Lilligant, Midnight Form Lycanroc, Drapion, Rapidash and Greninja were all in their Poke Balls and would not be participating.
While working with her Pokemon, she would sometimes conjure up images of Ash, thinking about her upcoming battle with him. She was doing everything she could to prepare. After all, this would be a battle that many will want to see.
The same can be said for Ash, who was at the Pokemon House currently. He made sure to be quiet while Fluttershy and all the Pokemon in this sanctuary were here. But Fluttershy was actually awake for this, watching Ash practice his skills with his aura.
She had a blanket over herself, watching Ash. The trainer was surrounded by his Pokemon, Pikachu, Lucario, Gengar, Dragonite, Sirfetch'd and Dracovish. All of them were using their best traits, allowing Ash to train and prepare himself for his battle.
"Not too shabby, you guys." Ash said to his Pokemon, standing tall. "I think we can stop for now. We've got one more day before we can have our battle, so let's get some sleep."
"Pika!" Pikachu nodded as he and his teammates stretched their limbs to relax their muscles, minus Dracovish.
"Coming back tomorrow for more training, Ash?" Fluttershy asked, sitting on a chair.
"Oh, hey Fluttershy. I didn't see you there." Ash smiled. "Yeah, I'm gonna be training some more tomorrow. I want to be ready when the day comes. And with everyone's support, we'll both have a blast."
"I'm sure you'll do amazingly. All of us will be there, cheering you on."
"Thanks." Ash got up, yawning. "I think I'll head home for the night. I'll be back in the morning."
"Oh, but do be careful not to push yourself too much. You and Princess Celestia." Fluttershy advised.
"Mhm. Don't worry about it. I mean, yeah, we'll give it everything we have, but I think we'll be A-OKay." Ash said. "Okay, see ya tomorrow. And then after tomorrow, we're gonna throw down."
"You're right. I should." Fluttershy agreed, getting up from her chair. "I'll see you tomorrow, Ash. Take care."
"Bye." Ash and his Pokemon would exit the sanctuary, walking back to his house. They were ready for tomorrow.
Day.
The next day came and already there was a significant focus on this upcoming battle. Once it was announced, fliers and newspapers were distributed to all corners of Equestria. Two incredibly popular figures were about to battle so this could not be missed.
Princess Celestia was undoubtedly the most popular individual in all of Equestria for obvious reasons, one of which being that she is the ruler of it all. And then there was Ash, who took Equestria by storm, greatly helping them get adjusted to living with Pokemon.
The mere thought of these two battling was very much enticing to warrant this. As well as marketing. Some ponies were selling merchandise related to the two of them. Other ponies were setting up games, booths, food stands and more to celebrate the occasion.
A massive poster of their faces was made, and placed on a billboard. There was even a countdown on it. And of course, there were those that were rooting for Ash while others were on Celestia's side.
"Who do you think is even gonna win? Personally, I have it all on Ash. He's way more into Pokemon Battling than Celestia." Scootaloo already had her pick. "No offence to Princess Celestia."
"Yeah. That's what he's been doing his whole time." Sweetie Belle added. "Plus, he knows a lot of tricks that not a lot can see coming. I even use some of them for my Contest. If I had to choose though...Hmm..."
"Well I know who I'm choosing. I'm going straight for Ash." Diamond Tiara made up her mind. "I would go for Princess Celestia but...can't argue with skill level."
"But Princess Celestia's strong too. She got so good at Pokemon Battling so fast and she doesn't even battle all that much." Scootaloo pointed out despite rooting for Ash. "I mean, I battle a lot but I'm not even on her level and we've only been with Pokemon for 4 years."
"Yeah, yeah. She grew pretty past, didn't she?" Apple Bloom agreed. Celestia's growth as a Trainer, while in the same timespan as everyone in Equestria, was rather astonishing. Much like how she had amazing magical potential, her potential as a Pokemon Battle showed itself early on.
"Well, I'm choosing Celestia." Silver Spoon decided. "I think she can pull off something even Ash hasn't seen. I mean, we all know he's going to use magic in that battle, right? Just like how Ash is gonna use his Aura for sure."
"Mmrrgh...." Sweetie Belle nodded. "I can't choose." She was indecisive. She and everyone else would just have to wait and see how this would play out.
Across the rest of Ponyville, everyone else was talking about this upcoming battle. With this, many were eager to watch this and others wanted to talk about who would win. In Ponyville's case, they've gotten to know Ash more than any location in Equestria. Thus, a majority were rooting for him, being on Ash's team.
In the case of Celestia's side, it was all Canterlot since that was her home, naturally. News of this battle would go past Equestria, soon reaching the regions beyond it. The Pokemon World would also hear of this, spreading the word as well.
At Kanto, Delia held up a flier of this upcoming battle, reading it to herself. Her own Son taking on Princess Celestia. She imagined it would be a great sight to see, fully rooting for her son, which was natural. "Ash...Do your best. You don't have to win. But put on a show. That's the main thing."
Even though this wasn't a Pokemon World Championships Match or even something involving a league whatsoever but just a friendly match between friends, the regions were still interested in viewing this, most broadcasting companies aiming to record this for people to watch from home.
Of course, those who were interested in going would have to pay, but many were willing to pay just to see this battle live. Many would fly all the way to Equestria or would go the distance by traveling. It was a big deal for both worlds.
"Ah. Just tomorrow?" Spotting one of the fliers was Sonia, who was currently shopping with Nessa.
"Khh! That should be me getting all that attention!" Nessa bit on her nails, wishing that was her, taking on either of them for enough fame. Alas, the two exceeded her in popularity and talent.
Leon saw this as well from the comfort of his own home, holding up the same flier. "I'll be watching you closely on this one, Ash. Time to see how far you've really come." Leon laid back on his chair, waiting for this battle to begin. He already saw something in Ash and a strong part of him was waiting for him at the World Championships.
While everyone was going on about this upcoming battle, Ash himself out in a grass field, taking a bit of a walk after training some more. Ash he had his hands in his pockets, walking through the beautiful scenery, he spotted the very pony he was about to battle tomorrow. Present in this field with sunflowers as well was Celestia.
"Out here for a walk too, Ash? Or were you practicing some more?" She asked.
"Well, yeah. Just took a break for a bit." Ash replied.
"The same goes for me I decided to take a walk before returning home and having one final dinner. It's all very exciting."
"Oh yeah, for sure. It's gonna be an awesome battle, Celestia."
"And a wonderful show. This will be my first major battle with no threat present. I rarely battle for fun and when I usually do, it's short-lived." Celestia said. "First for everything."
"For sure. I'll be honest...a lot of me wanted this battle to happen ever since I saw you get stronger.
"Indeed." Celestia nodded. "I must say this...This battle we're about to have will be the showing of something greater. Soon, it will have been 5 years we've all crossed over. I'm sure that life would still be good even if we never met but, this friendship we've all formed is too precious to ever let go."
"Yeah. That's why we did everything to make sure this would last forever, reaching Jirachi and all. And I'd say it was all totally worth it. Meeting you, Twilight and everyone did a lot and it just let me see what else is out there. All the more reason to keep exploring."
"Until you become a Pokemon Master, right? Or will that still continue even after you've achieved your goal?
"Mh.. Even after that. I think it'd be awesome to be able to keep going and going."
"A fine goal indeed." Celestia walked alongside Ash, continuing their stroll through the field. "As for me, I'll be honest, I actually wanted to give up being Equestria's Ruler a few months back. I've been thinking about it for a long time."
"What made you change your mind?"
"I suppose the love my people and the rest of Equestria hold for me. I couldn't bear to leave such a wonderful land behind, so I continued. After taking on Empress Twilight, the Dread League and so on, I've decided that my land needs me, just as much as I need them. That was further reinvigorated after the battle with Daybreaker. If I had retired, I would've either given it to Luna...or maybe Twilight. But now, I've decided to stick around, aiming to grow alongside Equestria. For a long, long time."
"Well, I'll wish you all the best luck." Ash smiled. The two then faced each other once more, chatting away in this sunflower-filled area. And as the Sun hovered high above them both, the Radiant One and the Pokemon Trainer continued to chat, enjoying the rest of the afternoon together.
Unova. The Harmonia Kingdom. Nightfall.
It was the middle of the night. Silence filled the Harmonia Kingdom, the whole placed still being protected by a Divine Barrier merged with Rift Energy, courtesy of the captured angel, Lightwing. With the barrier up, the whole kingdom was safe for the time being. For months now, they've been clashing with the Angels, mainly playing defensively while they continued to build up their strength and research more about the Divine Magic they have obtained.
In the absence of Ghetsis, Colress took charge, having been the man in charge for most of this. He has done his fair share of research and development and it has led him and the other scientists here to create many tools and weapons that are all based off the Divine Magic and the Rift Energy. Due to this, he's managed to create what one could consider Definitive Defense for the Kingdom.
The Rift Barrier would continue to surround the Harmonia Kingdom, but at the same time, the Divine Magic would also enhance the shield's power, creating an extremely tough barrier that could protect them from a majority of attacks.
However, there is no perfect defence and the Rift Energy could not keep the shield up forever, so Colress knew that at some point, the Angels will find a way inside. But he had plans for that.
However, even Colress could not anticipate what was about to happen soon.
The Angels were prepared to attack once more, but not in a direct way as usual. The main issue was that barrier, but their new method of attacking the Harmonia Kingdom would potentially ensure that their Divine Magic would run dry.
In the dead of the night, the Angels approached the barrier. Strident Heart led the attack. In her grasp, she held the Cosmic Staff, a staff with the powers of the heavens within it. With her weapon, Strident Heart aimed it directly at the Rift Barrier and activated it's powers, shooting a blast of divine energy, hoping to pierce the barrier and strike the kingdom directly.
It looked like a normal attack from Colress's point of view. Just a beam of Divine Magic striking the barrier as always. Nothing new whatsoever. It seemed normal and was going according to Colress's predictions.
Until it suddenly changed.
The barrier would start changing colours. Its normal, gold and blue colour was replaced with multiple colours, all rapidly flashing and switching from one to the other.
"Hm?!" Colress had been in his lab at the time, checking his research on the Divine Magic.
He turned his attention towards the Rift Barrier and saw it starting to change colours. Something was wrong, but he didn't know what. The flashing and colour switching went on for a bit longer and was getting quite irritating to look at.
"What's happening?" He had a feeling this had something to do with the Angels and was right. But what they were doing was a complete mystery.
"With these Legendary Items, we will bring an end to this conflict at once." Strident Heart stated. "Behold as the reality of your barrier is altered!"
And with a single thrust, the Angels used the items, the Cosmic Staff and the Divine Wand, together, sending a beam of light directly into the barrier.
In an instant, the Rift Barrier had its reality change, becoming something else entirely. Colress's eyes widened when he saw this. The flashing colours had stopped and the barrier had become an entire kaleidoscope of colour. It was an ever-changing, multi-coloured, ever-shifting barrier, which would soon be Kaleidoscopic.
Colress tried fighting back, having the barrier resist by interacting with his tech. Once again, it became a struggle between the two sides, with Colress pouring some more Rift Energy into the barrier. And with this clash, it looked like Colress was managing to even things out as always.
"Perfect." But that is exactly what Strident Heart wanted, a smirk forming on her face. Multiple angels would fly over her, raising the Legendary Items up. The items would then spin around above everything else, shining a great light that illuminated everything.
The clouds themselves would start transforming, taking on a rainbow-like texture and colour. The ground beneath would slowly turn into glass, causing cracks to spread across the ground and making the surface reflective. And soon, the sky itself would start changing, shifting colours and turning a mixture of white and black.
This was a truly divine event that the people in the Kingdom had no idea was happening, except for the scientists, who could only watch this event take place. And from these Legendary Items, something would spawn from their power. A titanic spirit.
This spirit, one that was formed from the Legendary Items, would appear in the sky above everyone. Its presence was great, having a very celestial and ethereal feel. It was a massive figure, but its shape was impossible to determine, always changing and shifting, its true form always hidden. The only things visible were its wings, which were as tall as a building.
"This endangers the land itself. Not Just Unova, but entire regions and other nations far and wide." One of the angels spoke as this plan of theirs was a risky one since they did not wish to harm the rest of the world. They had to be extra careful with this one.
"But with this, we can finally enter the Harmonia Kingdom. Especially since a second one is about to emerge." Another angel spoke.
And indeed, a second divine being would emerge. Due to the existence of this spirit, it caused a reaction to the Divine Energy being kept inside of the Harmonia Kingdom. Underneath the kingdom but above the barrier itself, a second spirit would manifest. This spirit was a lot smaller than the other, but it was a good size nonetheless, towering over many as it appeared within the castle.
"A second spirit has been formed." Another angel said.
"Good. It is ready then. We can end this now."
The spirit would raise its hand up and point its fingers towards the Kaleidoscopic barrier. The fingers were actually quite sharp, resembling blades. The other spirit would do the same from the outside as the two of them were resonating and synchronizing from this distance.
Once they were ready, the spirits would cause a chain reaction once they synchronized their spells. Colress and Team Plasma gasped as the barrier would then shatter.
"WHAT?!" Colress screamed the loudest. Despite how powerful the shatter was, no one else but those within the castle heard it, the angels making sure to play it stealthy as to not disturb the innocent.
"Our Barrier! It's shattering?!"
The barrier shattered like glass, revealing the Harmonia Kingdom below. This was exactly what the angels were hoping for and the result was what they expected. Now they could finally enter the Harmonia Kingdom and begin their proper offensive. Taking down Team Plasma and rescuing Lightwing.
And so, the angels advanced, flying towards the Harmonia Kingdom's castle. The Spirit that appeared within the castle would also start moving. Both of them. The one inside the castle would start attacking immediately while searching for Lightwing, confronting the Team Plasma grunts that were patrolling.
Very well then...So be it." Colress narrowed his eyes, prepared to take on the angels. All of Team Plasma were prepared to take on the Angels, refusing to let them succeed. And soon, the battle between the Angels and Team Plasma had properly begun.
Equestria. Canterlot. Equestria League Stadium. Day.
The day of the battle had finally come.
Everywhere across Equestria, the citizens were gathered, making their way towards the Equestria League Stadium. Many were already there, waiting for this battle to begin.
There was a huge audience, all sitting in the bleachers, filling up every seat. A giant screen was shown, displaying Ash and Celestia, the two trainers in question, standing opposite each other. The seats were filled with ponies, Pokemon along with some dragons, changelings, hippogriffs, Griffons and humans that came all the way here just to view this battle.
They all held signs with their choice written on them. Most were for Ash while a portion was for Celestia. But they all shared a similar excitement for this event, waiting for the battle to begin. Ash and Celestia smiled at each other, both just as excited.
"I'm all in for you, Ash! The same for you, Princess!" Pinkie supported both, holding up two flags, one with a picture of Celestia and the other with Ash. Those of the Ash Ketchum Fanclub were in their own section, wearing their jackets and waving their own flags and banners.
Hollering and cheering for both Trainers were all the others, especially the humans, who were the loudest in this crowd. Everyone had their eyes on the two, all ready to watch.
On this day, a great Pokemon Battle of spectacular proportions would happen and it would truly be something to remember as the journey continues.
