My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Antibodies
Previous ChapterNext ChapterEquestria. Canterlot. Day.
A new day rises.
With her unique dream finished, and morning upon her, Stella Bloom awoke to see the sunlight pouring into her room, shining right on her and Bulbasaur. He had the same dream, so he too, was awakened, his eyes opening to the sight of Stella. "Saur..." He would yawn and stretch his little body.
"Bulba." Bulbasaur stretched and yawned.
"Good morning, little guy." Stella smiled, picking up Bulbasaur. She would sit up and get out of her bed, getting ready for the day. Today, she had plans. For today, she was about to learn more about her mark and perhaps more about the Primordial Magic.
However, she was going to be late. It would be a few minutes past noon. Luna had forgotten to wake her, or simply decided against it. The sun was shining, birds were chirping and Stella's stomach growled. But as soon as she left her room, she was met with an unusual sight. They had arrived.
The Antibodies.
"Wah!" Stella was jumpscared by these odd, bizarre, black and white creatures, the girl letting out a scream, Bulbasaur falling from her hoove, the Grass-Poison-Type yelping and letting out a cry. They were unlike any creatures they'd seen before. These strange creatures had no eyes, just black and white colours and no mouth or nostrils. It was as if someone just scribbled over them and made them like that.
"Stella Bloom! What's wrong?!" Teleporting here instantly were Celestia and Luna once they heard Stella's scream, and seeing the Antibodies was the immediate reason.
"W-What are those things...?!" Luna could already tell that these weren't any Pokemon, or at least not a type that were native to this land.
"Antibodies..." Celestia narrowed her gaze, staring them down. She knew exactly what these were, and it wasn't pleasant. These were the things that wiped the first world she lived in. She remembered that feeling all too well, the memories resurfacing. It was the same feeling.
"Antibodies?" Stelle and Luna collectively said, neither having a clue about what she meant.
"Antibodies. Straight from the darkest parts of the universe. What are they doing here...?" She wondered as these Antibodies intimidatingly lingered around Stella Bloom, making her shiver.
"I've actually heard of them, but I'm not as knowledgeable as you, sister." Luna added. "But it seems that they're focusing on Stell Bloom, completely ignoring us. Why is that?"
"...Ah!" Celestia figured it out. They were here because of how the Magical Landscape has changed thanks to Stella's Cutie Mark. She had a good hunch. "They are here for the sake of her. They've detected the shift in the land, the birth of the Pokemon-Related Cutie Mark."
"They have?"
"That would make sense." Luna nodded. "But they seem to have a strong intent of harming her. If not eliminating her outright."
"W-Wait, what?!" Stella was frightened by this.
"No need to panic." Celestia walked over. "You've noticed that they haven't attacked you yet. They are mainly here for one reason. To regulate, mitigate and balance the flow of magic. The way magic is now different from what it used to be, and I'd say your Cutie Mark, as special as it is, is a threat."
"A threat? I don't want to be a threat! I just want to discover my talent!"
"There is no need to worry." Celestia told her. "Your mark is still developing and growing. It is a young Cutie Mark. Once the growth and development stop, then the Antibodies will attack. Although...they're probably here to not just oversee it, but change a few things. We just have to speak with them."
"How? Do they even speak?" Luna asked. Based on how static they were, they didn't seem like the type to speak.
"Not audibly, but if I do this..." Celestia closed her eyes, her horn glowingtas she prepared a spell. She was about to speak to them mentally, telepathically. "Hello. My name is Princess Celestia. One of the Rulers of the World. And you are the Antibodies. What are you?"
"...."
The Antibodies responded, their voices echoing in her mind, but none of the others could hear what was being said, except Celestia thank to her amazing magic. "Hm...I see, I see. You wish to undergo some tests, yes? If so, please go easy on her. Stella has recently gained her Cutie Mark and still developing. It would be a shame if she were hurt. And if you are to do tests, let me be a part of it as well."
"...."
The Antibodies were quiet. After a bit of thinking, they gave her an approving sound that only Celestia could hear. Celestia would look to her sister. "They've agreed. They'll run some through some tests. But they will not only involve me, but I'm afraid everyone else."
"What do you mean by that? W-What are these tests?" A curious Luna needed to know. Stella had to know more than anyone.
"To ensure the future of magic is kept stable, they will be changing the surroundings themselves just to see how Stella's Cutie Mark acts in them. I'm not 100% sure what they will be, but we'll have to see. For them to start, they want us to go to a certain location that is Pokemon-heavy."
"Which one? There are plenty of them in Equestria and across all the regions. In fact, every region is Pokemon-heavy." Luna replied. "We don't even have half the number of Pokemon here."
"Not quite. While we have less, the Antibodies want it to be in a place that is heavily tied to our magic, so it has to be in Equestria. And they've already told me the one place they wish to go." She looked up at the Antibodies, knowing the location they wanted to test Stella at.
Ponyville. The Pokemon House.
This was where the Antibodies wanted to test Stella at. It was home to the most unique Pokemon Economy in Equestria since it was entirely filled with every Pokemon-Type and species. Not only that, but there was plenty of space, so the Antibodies could run whatever tests they want and not harm anyone, which is why they chose the location.
"You want to run tests here?" Fluttershy said while tending to a Charizard. The orange dragon-type was lying on its stomach, its belly sticking out and exposed, wanting her to rub its stomach, which she was more than happy to do, rubbing his stomach, a large smile on its face, its tail swinging and smashing a wall. "Oh, be careful. Please be careful, Charizard." She warned it, and the Charizard apologized by bowing its head.
"Char...." It was apologetic.
"It's alright, Charizard." She patted its head and it purred with delight. She turned to the Princesses, who were accompanied by Stella and the Antibodies, who were currently in the form of floating cubes, not wanting to alarm the Pokemon, taking on friendly appearances.
"Yes. Hopefully, it will be brief. It's all for the sake of magic and Stella's sake, of course." Celestia explained, turning to face Stella Bloom who waved at Fluttershy.
"Hooooh!" Fluttershy let out a prolonged gasp her expression elevated instantly upon seeing Stella. "Y-You...You're the pony that recently got a Pokemon-related Cutie Mark!"
"U-Um, yes. Hello." Stella waved once more with a light grin, amazed by Fluttershy's reaction.
"You're so lucky!" The pegasus zoomed over to Stella Bloom, their noses touching as the yellow pegasus' eyes lit up. "I've been so excited to see your mark and what talent you'll gain from it. I love Pokemon so much and I wish I had a Pokemon Cutie Mark. How exciting. How spectacular! Your Cutie Mark must be amazing!"
"Ah, yeah." Stella scratched the back of her head.
"Tell me, what's it like? What can you do?! How in tune with Pokemon are you?! Can you mimic their voices?! Become them?! What can you do? Do you have super-strength? Or maybe, maybe! You can communicate with all Pokemon, even ones that have passed away. Or! Or, can you have visions of Pokemon, see into their past, present and future?!"
Stella had to hold back a bit of a giggle, seeing how eager Fluttershy was to get the information out of her, not able to handle the suspense. "Oh, um. Well. I've learned a few things, but not much, honestly. Not right now."
"Ah." Fluttershy backed away, the joy fading from her expression as she covered her face with her wings. "S-Sorry about getting that close. I got too eager..."
"No, no, it's okay." Stella was a little surprised, not used to this much enthusiasm being directed at her. But Fluttershy was just a Pony that had an abundance of enthusiasm when it came to Pokemon, much like her enthusiasm for animals and other creatures.
"Anyway." Celestia cleared her throat. "Fluttershy, if you don't mind, the Antibodies have told me what they plan to do, so will it be possible for you to assist us?"
"I will. Anything to help. If this is something that threatens everyone, I'll do my best."
"Thank you, Fluttershy." Luna smiled, appreciating the gesture. "So, what would the Antibodies have us do first?"
The Antibodies were about to do what they first stated. Changing the surroundings. These forces from the dark part of the universe went on the move. They would take control over the area, changing it just a tad. With their magic, the entire landscape away from the Pokemon and only focusing on the land.
Everyone here watched as the Antibodies were beginning to change the fundamentals themselves, mainly the way life and consciousness work. The grass was starting to expand in vibrancy, the colour becoming more green and luscious, as if it were in its prime, even though the weather remained the same. The flowers were starting to become a lot more colourful and the sky became a more beautiful and clear blue.
"Wow." Stella watched with amazement, seeing the Antibodies work, their abilities beyond anything she'd ever seen. It was like she was looking at magic in a new light. It was something Celestia and Luna were already used to, but it was still fascinating nonetheless. "What are they doing?"
"Hmm..." Celestia had to look at it a bit longer, waiting for the right moment to assess it. She spoke with them telepathically once more and received an answer immediately. "I see. They're turning certain moves into natural forces?"
"Natural Forces? What do you mean by that"? A confused Flutershy asked.
"Right now, what we're looking at is actually Energy Ball, which is a Grass-type move, but is a move that is created using Grass Type Energy. Right now, they're converting this Energy Ball, the move, and turning it into a Natural Force, a force that exists throughout the world just like how magic naturally exists. By doing this, it means that all the Pokemon of this house, such as the Grass Type Pokemon will gain Grass Type abilities without the need to learn the move. For example, the move Solar Beam will now exist as a Natural Force and all Pokemon will be able to use the move."
"All the Grass-Type moves?" Stella and Fluttershy said in unison.
"I'm assuming just a select few of them. And I say the same can be said for moves of other types. Let's test this one out first. Fluttershy, could you have your Bayleef try Grass-Type move quickly?"
"Oh, right. I can do that." Fluttershy said, turning to her Bayleef. It was time to see what this would really do. Bayleef could naturally learn Energy Ball but it wasn't one of the moves she was currently wielding. "Bayleef. Use Energy Ball."
"Bay." Bayleef stepped forward, nodding her head. With a strong exhale, the Bayleef suddenly summoned a magic circle in front of her. Celestia and everyone watched in awe as it looked like Bayleef was casting a spell. Something like this doesn't ever happen whenever a Pokemon uses Energy Ball. Usually, the ball just manifests, but this was different. Very different.
"Do my eyes deceive me...?" Luna blinked, rubbing her eyes with her wings. "Is Bayleef casting a spell?!"
"It is! So that's what the Antibodies are doing! They're making Energy Ball a Spell! And I suppose by extension everything else!" Celestia exclaimed. But there was far more to it. Right before their eyes, once Bayleef finally manifested the Energy Ball, something appeared on her body. Much like how ponies have Cutie Marks right on their flanks, Bayleef now had one, appearing on the underside of her neck.
"A Cutie Mark! She gained a Cutie Mark!" Fluttershy squeed, her eyes a lit with absolute wonder. And with this Cutie Mark appearing, Stella Bloom's own Cutie Mark was reacting to this, her body glowing as she felt a new wave of magical power surging through her.
The Energy Ball was fired, zooming across the area and all the way into the distance. After that, it came to an end. Not only did Bayleef gain the ability to naturally use Energy Ball without having to learn it, but she now had a Cutie Mark on her as if she were a pony. "Bay! Bayleef!" She looked at her own Cutie Mark, which had the appearance of four leaves around a star of Rift Energy, most likely to reference her unique ability to change fate.
"You look so good with it, Bayleef!" Fluttershy gave Bayleef a hug.
"Ah, I see what this is. So if it did that to Bayleef, then I assume for every other Pokemon..." Celestia looked over at the other Grass-Types here. Lo and behold, the same was happening to them. All of them were gaining Cutie Marks. So far it was only the Grass-Types since that was the Energy most present right now.
"But what exactly does this mean for me...?" Stella had a feeling this had something to do with her mark. She was supposed to be one undergoing these tests but the most that's happened is her Cutie Mark resonating with Bayleef's. So far, nothing has really happened to her that she could do. The most that has happened has only been with the Grass-Types.
"I'm sure it will reveal itself soon, Stella." Luna told her. "We just have to watch."
"I hope so..."
The tests would continue, with the Antibodies working hard, going after all of the Types. Next up would be the Fire-Types. They once again used their amazing power on the land, switching out Energy Ball for another move. In this case, it was Flamethrower. The Antibodies were doing their work, converting the move and creating it into a Natural Force.
This was far more destructive than the previous one, a great burst of fire roared from below, startling many of the Pokemon here. They watched this flow of fire wave in the wind, burning brightly without harming anyone, not even the flames touching a single blade of grass.
"Raboot. You know what to do." Fluttershy faced her Raboot, who was up next. He did not have Flaethrower at his disposal, but he would now temporarily have it.
"Ra! Raboot nodded, running forward as he held his breath. On his paws, two magic circles would manifest. They were the same ones Bayleef made. "Raboot...!"
Raboot inhaled deeply, and exhaled a large amount of fire, which was Flamethrower, a torrent of flame blasting out and into the distance, causing an explosion. Much like Bayleef, he casted a spell that allowed him to use Flamethrower briefly and as always, all Fire-Types here would gain Cutie marks on their body, and much like the last one, Stella's Cutie Mark would react.
And yet, nothing happened again. Stella couldn't do anything.
"It feels more like they're testing everything else..." Stella pouted, wanting to do something significant.
Now that all these Fire-Types and Grass-Types had Cutie Marks, the Antibodies had decided on something upon doing this. The test was not yet over, but they were about to make a great change to Equestria itself. By speaking with Celestia once more, they revealed their plan that will temporarily stick around.
"You plan to give every Pokemon in Equestria Cutie Marks?!" Celestia jerked back a bit, a bit baffled by their suggestion. "Are you serious? Do you think this is a good idea?"
The Antibodies had told her something about the reason why they're doing this. Because of Stella Bloom's Cutie Mark, they had to ensure that ponies in the future with Pokemon-related Cutie Marks can mean the balance of the world and by extension, the universe itself.
Because even though it will be the ponies who will ultimately gain Cutie Marks, they will obviously revolve around the Pokemon and that will forever change many ways magic in Equestria works. Thus, the decision to temporarily give them all Cutie Marks to essentially simulate this scenario.
"Hmm..." Celestia thought about it for a moment. Though temporary, the result of what this will do to Equestria is unknown. Every Pokemon will be running around with the capability to cast spells, accessing all the magic in Equestria, not just their own. "If it's for the sake of our future and magic, then I will allow it for the time being."
"...."
After a bit, the Antibodies responded, Celestia nodding her head, satisfied with their response. Thus, they took off, ready to affect all of Equestria with their power. They ascended into the air, spreading out across the land at amazing speeds.
Their bodies lit up, releasing a bright beam that shot up into the sky. The beam hit the top of the sky, promptly starting a chain reaction, a ripple effect of power that affected all of Equestria.
Stella was the only one who felt the effect first, a wave of energy surging through her and the others. As a result, every single Pokemon within Equestria gained the capability of gaining Cutie Marks. One by one, every Pokemon present in Equestria got Cutie Marks, and because of the way things are, those Cutie Marks could have an impact. From the land, the sea and skies, no place in Equestria was left out where a Pokemon could be found as the journey continues.
