My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Awakening of a New Magic
Previous ChapterNext ChapterThe Primordial Magic.
After being sent to the source of all magic, Ash, Twilight and Stella stood before a massive cosmic hand. This hand was created by the Primordial Magic and appearing from the lake, being a direct response to Ash.
The massive cosmic hand hovered high above them, the sheer size of it blocking out the stars, casting everything in shadow. Its fingers, impossibly long and elegant, curled slightly, a cosmic energy radiating from them like a star.
This mysterious hand, straight from the lake of the Primordial Magic would then point directly at the group. A small, purple light would glow in its palm as the magic reacted. Ash Ketchum was the target as it pointed directly at him.
"Eh?" Ash didn't understand, pointing at himself as the others gasped. It singled Ash out solely for the fact of the soul of Prisma within him. It seems that he wasn't out of the clear at all.
The Primordial Magic could sense Prisma's soul from within, the unbridled danger it possessed. Ash felt the pull on his soul as a result of the Primordial Magic wanting to deal with Prisma right away. But Twilight would get in the way, blocking its path, fearing the worst.
"Ash Ketchum." An otherworldly voice spoke to him. It came from the Primordial Magic. It was so loud and powerful, it felt as though the voice was everywhere at once, surrounding him. He could hear it, even if it was his first time meeting it. "We've been expecting you. Your soul, the soul of Prisma. Is something that concerns us greatly."
"But the magic here isn't resonating badly with him. So, he should be in the clear, right?" Twilight spoke to the Hand, pointing out how the Primordial Magic was mostly neutral and calm. "So far, nothing's gone wrong. The magic in this place is calm and doesn't want to destroy him."
"Calm or not, there is a great threat. A threat that is within Ash Ketchum's soul. We are well aware that despite having the soul of Prisma within him, Ash Ketchum himself is not a threat." The Hand could actually see that Ash was not the force of destruction that the Antibodies see him as. But still, his soul was important. "We know your name, Twilight Sparkle. We know that you are the original incarnation of a being named Twilight Luminaria, a magical queen."
"But we're all making sure Prisma never takes over and destroys anything. If you can see that Ash isn't a danger, he should be allowed to leave and be safe, right?" Twilight asked the Hand, bringing up that point very well. They did not see Ash as a threat at all considering who he was.
"We do. That will never change. After all, it is not Ash, but Prisma that is the danger." The Hand was thankfully very understanding, knowing who Ash truly was. "However, it is crucial for you three to know this. Similar to how you all have a drive to prevent Prisma's return, his drive is equally as powerful."
"His drive? What do you mean?" asked Stella.
"There can be times where the anger of one can be so tremendous that their rage becomes their very power. So much so, that it overlaps and exceeds most things, becoming unparalleled." The Hand explained. "A rage that not even the purest of intentions can quell. It is known as The Unbreakable Will."
"Unbreakable Will..." Stella muttered to herself.
"It is a phenomenon that is known to happen sometimes. However, it's a rare thing that no one can comprehend, but it happens regardless. There exists another who possesses the same amount of rage, which can connect with his own evil. The one you call Ghetsis, who is currently trapped in the Abyssal Depths. His rage and evil are on that level. We will not let him escape. Ash Ketchum. While you may have the drive to prevent his return, his drive to return is absolutely titanic. For that, we will have to try and mitigate you."
"Huh?"
Suddenly, when pointing at Ash, a cosmic force enveloped his body, gripping onto him as the magic in the air grew stronger. He was slowly lifted up by the grip, causing him to gasp. Twilight was terrified and quickly reacted.
"Ash!" Twilight screeched his name, trying to reach him. However, a cosmic pulse would knock her back, preventing her from getting any closer.
"What are you doing?!" Stella demanded to know. "You said he wasn't a threat and then you pull a stunt like this! He hasn't done anything wrong!"
"We will attempt to destroy the soul within. However, due to how unique it is, his soul is truly connected to Ash in every essence. If his body perishes once the soul is destroyed, then that will be the end of it. However, if his body does survive, you will live on without the fear of Prisma ever returning." The Hand informed them of their intention.
"But that means there's a huge change he'll perish!" Twilight exclaimed. "No, no! You can't do that to him! I'm begging you!"
"There is no other way to remove Prisma than this. You will simply have to hope that the chance of him surviving is the ultimate outcome. We have been created by the Primordial Magic at this very moment to handle Prisma's Soul, so we are primed to destroy it."
"Ghhh! Gaaaah!" Ash's shouts were muffled by the cosmic energy. It felt as though his very life was being pulled out of his body, as if Prisma's Soul was an intruder. And while his life was in the process of being torn out of his body, it felt like he was being ripped to shreds from the inside. He could feel it all, every single painful moment.
"Pika-Pi" Pikachu called out the name of his best friend, trying to push through the Cosmic Barrier. He would use Thunderbolt, which didn't do a thing to the barrier, as expected. But still, he wouldn't give up, especially if it meant protecting Ash.
"Eve! Use Dazzling Gleam!" Twilight shouted while firing a beam from her horn.
"Esp...!" From her body, Espeon would glow with an aura before launching a massive array of sparkles. These attacks bombarded the barrier, trying to push through but to no avail.
All the while, Stella Bloom watched. She felt useless right now. So much for being the first pony with a Pokemon-related Cutie Mark if she couldn't do anything. She wondered what was the point of her even asking to come here if there was nothing she could do about it.
Sombra even tried protecting Ash from within, attempting to coat his body with Dark Magic. But Sombra couldn't stop it either, as the cosmic power of the Primordial Magic's manifestation was overwhelming.
But as Ash hovered there, feeling this horrible pain, his eye would open, a green and soon red glow glinting in his eye, followed by his irises morphing and changing into something sharp. A new wave of energy would emit from his body, the energy itself pushing away the cosmic power that gripped him.
The energy was so great that it even knocked back Twilight and the others as well as the massive hand. He was free now. The grip that once held him would break as Ash floated down to the ground. The green and red glow lingered there as a black aura was around Ash's body. A menacing yet familiar black aura to Twilight. As she stumbled back, she let out a light gasp at the sight before her. Pikachu, Espeon and Stella all had the same reaction.
Due to all that pain he felt and how much his body was struggling, the Primordial Magic had unintentionally awakened another part of Prisma's soul. Right now, Ash was once again possessed by a strong part of Prisma, undergoing an awakening.
"Foolish Avatars of Magic." Ash's voice, however, was completely different, having a mix of his own and Prisma's as she faced the massive hand. "To think you would try to stop me here even with his body at risk. To think you would threaten to erase me."
"You..." The Hand was confused and stunned by the sight, recognizing the being who now possessed the boy.
"Prisma..." Twilight murmured. She had no words for this moment. She hoped to never see him again while overtaking Ash, but alas, it has happenednce more. Prisma turned his head, his menacing eyes locking onto Twilight as she let out a yelp, her body shaking from fear.
"Hello again, Your Majesty. Miss me?" Prisma smirked, making Twilight shudder. The soul of Twilight Luminaria within her would resonate, trying to take over, but failing to do so. Soon, Prisma looked back at the massive hand. "I didn't think I'd honestly come near the Primordial Magic even with how many times I've had to live those lives."
"Do not play games. We have already acknowledged that the boy is not the problem, but you are."
"And here I was thinking I could enjoy my time in the presence of the Primordial Magic." Prisma scoffed, turning around, walking away. He wouldn't let the Hand harm him or Ash, or else Ash might be hurt, and Prisma did not want his reincarnation destroyed since that would sabotage his return. "But I can see you have no desire for that."
"You bring a foreboding outcome to us all. Not just to Earth, but to the wider universe out there. Possibly even beyond that." The Avatar Hand of the Primordial Magic pointed at him. "If there was anyone that has to be destroyed, it is without a doubt you."
"You would've done it long ago, but you can't leave here, can you?" Prisma stopped walking, looking back at the Avatar Hand. "You are the source of all Magic after all, so no matter what, you cannot leave your position."
Prisma was right. Due to it being the source of all magic, it must stay here in the center, where it has always existed. Ever since its creation, parts of it have branched into the various magic that exist today with most lacking the same level of power it had. It could never leave or take proper action.
"These Antibodies you've sent came of their own volition with no relation to you. After all, it was that girl that suggested we come here." Prisma looked at Stella, startling her as she hid behind Twilight, who was still frozen from fear. "And besides, even if though you have e here now...do you think I didn't prepare for something like this?"
"What?"
"I've lived 88.8 Billion Lives. I've done and seen so much. Isn't it obvious that I've formed some contingencies? Splitting my soul to ensure that I return was just one of them. Anything attempting to destroy this body has already been planned for." Prisma told the Hand. "My soul isn't just a way to resonate and awaken. After all, a part of Dialga is infused with it, just like how the souls of my other Pokemon exist in those 9 other counterparts."
"You are not to leave here, Prisma." The Avatar hand declared. "Even if you do, now that we have interacted with this body and your soul, the Primordial Magic will be able to act on the outside. For the longest, none have ever arrived here, outside of the Writing Glory herself. Due to this, the Primordial Magic was unable to spread the purest form itself out there."
"So you're saying if I leave, you'll hunt this body down until my soul is destroyed. All 10 of them? Hmph. I'd like to see you try. I welcome a good challenge and taking on the Primordial Magic itself might be a satisfying battle. We'll see if you can destroy all 10 of them in time."
"No, don't!" Twilight spoke up, rejecting to that as she got the attention of both Prisma and the Avatar Hand. She lowered her head, her hoove and lips trembling. "If you do that...then I'll lose Ash forever...and so will the rest of his friends...he means the world to all of us...I beg of you..."
Twilight knew that if she let the Avatar Hand hunt the 10 trainers down and destroy their souls, she would lose Ash forever. She'd never be able to see him again and neither would the others. The idea of him not being there was too much for Twilight.
Even seeing Ash being overtaken by Prisma now was heartwrenching. So heartwrenching that she forgot about when she decided to try and understand Prisma. Even befriend him. Her emotions were overtaking her in this moment, which in turn, made Twilight Luminaria's soul faintly resonate.
"Hmph." Prisma scoffed at Twilight starting to tear up before facing the Avatar Hand. "Right now, I'm not at my best to take you on. I'd say my time here is up."
"As we stated, you shall not leave." Refusing to let Prisma leave this pace, the Avatar Hnad attacked. From its hands, a cosmic ray was shot. Prisma smirked as his Aura alone blocked the ray the second it came near him. The Aura acted as a barrier, deflecting the ray as it split into multiple parts due to this.
Pikachu and Espeon moved back as the rays scraped the beautiful grass, dealing damage to this area for the very first time. The area where all magic stems from was being damaged due to this. Prisma's Aura expanded, pushing the rest of the ray back and ending the attack.
"I shouldn't even be taking you on right now." Prisma spoke. "Before I leave, I'll give you this parting gift. You'll remember the one who tainted this pure form of magic for the very first time." Prisma began converting his own Aura, manifesting his own Aura Sphere in his hand. His aura was tinged with a blue, red and black hue. The sphere would glow with a sinister blue and red color, crackling with violent energy.
The Avatar Hand would respond by generating a sphere of its own, brimming with essences of the Primordial Magic. Prisma smirked at this before speaking once more.
"You're just a method the Primordial Magic is using against me, aren't you? The truth is that you don't even have an ounce of the power it has!" Prisma called out the Avatar Hand. That was all it was. An emissary of the Primordial Magic. "Or maybe, you don't want to risk using too much right now, despite how limitless the magic is."
"You are far too knowledgable, Prisma." The Avatar Hand did not disprove it. "Which is exactly why you must be removed at once."
"Naturally. But you should also know that just by being in the presence of all this magic...I'm actually growing in strength as well" Prisma laughed, surprising the Avatar Hand. "After all, I come from a universe where magic was more attuned to someone like me! So, good luck!" Prisma pulled his hand back, ready to unleash the sphere.
Suddenly, Stella sensed it. Her Cutie e Mark started glowing as her eyes pulsated. She felt it. The great imbalance of magic that could come from this. If Prisma damages the Primordial Magic, something truly horrible will happen to the universe. Something that could never be stopped, no matter what.
Both sides were ready to attack until...
"STOP!" Getting in the middle of them both was Stella Bloom, her voice suddenly transcending all sounds present here. From her body, a beautiful magic would fly out. The magic was a mix of Pokemon Magic and Equestrian Magic at its purest, spreading out rapidly as it would disrupt the spheres, breaking them apart.
The voice didn't just break the spheres, but it also disrupted the magic within the Avatar Hand, causing it to tremble as it let out an ethereal sound. Stella was the cause of all this, and Prisma could only look at her, baffled by this development. His own soul was attacked by this, shaking a bit.
Being that she was the bridge between Pokemon and Ponies, her magic was one of a kind. But until this very moment, it was not this powerful. However, upon sensing the threat to the Magical Landscape itself, it awakened into something great. Something so powerful that it could disrupt Prisma's Aura and the Primordial Magic itself.
"Ahhh..." The Avatar Hand felt a stinging sensation within itself as it floated backward, not expecting such a thing to occur. The magic would vanish from the Avatar Hand's palm as it would return back into the lake. "This magic..."
"What was that?" Prisma had used his Aura to defend himself from any serious damage as Twilight looked on in awe.
"This magic...such a magic has never existed before." The magic that Stella Bloom unleashed was so great that not even the Primordial Magic recognized it. Even though it had Equestrian Magic within it, its uniqueness was one-of-a-kind and incredibly distinct. It was a mixture of Pokemon and Equestrian magic. This unique magic would then go on to affect Prisma's own aura as well.
"Hmph. I think we're done here." Prisma would then decide to call it off here. He let his soul rest once more within Ash as the back aura around him would vanish. After doing so, Ash would return to normal, dropping to his knees and fainting.
"Ash!" Twilight flew over to him, checking on him. While his body was completely fine, his soul was shaken up a bit by the experience of being used by Prisma.
As for Stella Bloom, her currently radiating with this unique and nameless magic, she was giving off a newfound presence that the Avatar Hand just had to acknowledge. Her eyes were glowing with a golden light and her hair was floating as a result of the magic. She had no idea what she did, but her magic was so powerful, even the Primordial Magic recognized it and didn't dare move against it.
"This magic...Could it be? Yes, I believe I see it. Due to her wielding that kind of Cutie Mark, the first of its kind, she possesses a magic that relates to him. Arceus." The Avatar Hand and by extension, the Primordial Magic, was able to sense the power of Arceus himself within Stella Bloom. The only other being outside of the Writing Glory that matched the Primordial Magic itself in raw power. It would not dare to attack Stella while she was in this state.
"What's going on?" Stella couldn't help but feel scared, wondering why she was shining like this. It was a new magic for her and she was not the type to know what was going on. She didn't understand what had just occurred and it frightened her.
The magic around her was singing to the Primordial Magic, specifically speaking to it. The Avatar Hand stayed static, making no movements as it simply listened to this voice. It was not the voice of Arceus, but it felt like it. The voice of the magic itself spoke and sang to it.
"I see. So be it." The Avatar Hand replied before pointing at Ash. "Human. Ponies. Pokemon. You are to leave here freely. However, from this point on, you are to uphold your promise of trying to prevent Prsma's return. At the same time, the universe will undoubtedly send forces to do the same. Should you fall, Prisma will awaken and become active. He will be free to do as he pleases and we will destroy the soul without hesitation."
"Y-You'll let us try?" Twilight wiped her tears away. "Really?"
"Yes. But we are still adamant about our decision to destroy the soul. The Primordial Magic will most likely take action now that this event has occurred here. If you can restore his body before severe action can be taken, then all will be well for us all. As of now, you three must leave. The Antibodies will return another day to judge Ash Ketchum and all the reincarnations."
Their bodies would start glowing with the light of the Primordial Magic itself. A magical light enveloped them, transporting them outside the lake as they were now far from this Legendary Location. They were gone in a flash.
Equestria. Ponyville. Nightfall.
They found themselves back at Ponyville, right where they last stood before teleporting to the Primordial Magic. It was just nightfall and the moon was rising over the horizon. Their adventure took quite some time, leaving the Day and entering the Night.
Ash, Stella, Twilight, Pikachu and Espeon would be there without any Antibodies around them whatsoever. An unconscious Ash was starting to wake up as Twilight was quick to check on him.
"Oh my gosh, you're alright! Are you hurt at all?" Twilight was quick to question him, but Ash didn't seem hurt at all. Just a bit dazed, confused and sleepy.
"Huh? No...no, I think I'm fine." Ash shook his head before looking up at her, giving a reassuring smile. "Sorry if I scared you back there."
"Don't apologize! There was no way you could've done anything about it." Twilight sighed in relief. She didn't lose him, and that's what matters. "I'm just happy you're okay. All of us are. I'm glad we avoided the worst possible outcome. All thanks to you, Stella. Just what was what?"
"No idea..." Stella looked at her hoof, the power similar to Arceus leaving her for the time being. She had no idea where the magic came from. "My cutie mark started glowing and then something happened...I guess I can do something after all."
"Ah! You're back You're actually back" A voice rang out to them nearby. Flying this way would be Luna, who came to a screeching halt. "I saw your light in the distance and feared the worst, but to think you finally returned."
"Well, it looks like we were only gone for hours." Twilight pointed out, looking at the moon with a relieved expression.
"Hours...? Twilight. You were all gone for 3 Weeks." Luna dropped a bombshell on them that caught the group off guard.
"3 WEEKS?!"
They weren't there for a few hours at all. Not one bit. Tiem obviously worked different there and it was revealed that Ash, Twilight and Stella were gone for 3 weeks straight. They certainly missed out on some things. Such as what their friends were currently doing as they feared that something like this might happen.
As the journey continues.
