My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Short: Vulnerable Champion

News of this new team made waves, being known by many. Right now, Professor Oak had arrived to see this unnamed team and how much they've done already. He had been informed of them, so he went to see what was happening.
"Oh my. There are a lot more of them." Oak stated, seeing a whole plethora of Pokemon Trainers, Coordinators and more, alongside a variety of humans. The amount of Pokémon alone was astounding, and the humans accompanying them were a diverse bunch.
"Professor Oak!" Ash called, noticing his arrival and approaching him. He brought him over to meet his new team. There was no doubt that he would get along well with them all, given that they all shared common interests with Ash. As such, he would show Oak to them all.
"Well, this is a nice sight, isn't it?" Oak was impressed by this. He was even given an image of all the current members, from humans to Pokémon.
"Yes! I'm really glad I was able to do it. And to think that so many people want to join." Twilight said, smiling. "It's great! We have everything planned out."
"Excellent, and what about that name, then?" Oak asked. The team didn't have a name, yet, so there's no telling how long that would last before it got a name.
"Uh...Still working on that, heh." Twilight chuckled.
"Well, I thought I would show up to see this team in its entirety. Not just me, but a few other Professors as well." He revealed.
"What? Other professors? That's incredible!"
"Yes! In fact, they should be arriving any moment now..." Right on cue, entering the Unilight Palace were Professor Juniper, Sycamore, Sonia and Rowan, and a few other professors as well.
"Well, I must say that this is a very interesting sight indeed. It's nice to meet you all." Professor Juniper spoke.
"Oh my, yes. So many members. And look! So many species in one spot." Professor Sycamore looked around, seeing a huge collection of species and individuals of various types, races, classes and origins. "And from what I understand, you've not yet decided on a name, correct?"
"Er, no, actually." Twilight shook her head. "None of us could come up with anything."
"Hm...well, perhaps a little brainstorming session could help," Professor Sycamore suggested.
The professors would talk amongst themselves, trying to come up with ideas for names. Meanwhile, the others were busy with their own activities. Some were taking the time to bond and relax. Others were talking with their friends. However, some were discussing the idea of a name.
More specifically, a name that would encompass their mission. Something that would encapsulate all the goals they have in mind and the enemies and problems that may arise in the future.
Eventually, the conversation would turn towards a topic that was a bit more important than a name, the teams that were to form, and what kind of teams and occupations that would fit everyone's skills. This was something that would need a little planning, and thankfully, the professors were on hand to provide assistance.
The group would eventually split to go to different locations in the castle to figure out a better place to converse. One side was the main foyer and living area, the other being the library. Those that were part of the Harmony Badge's creation stayed behind, including Ash and a few of his friends and close allies to stay on track and not let the conversation drift away from its original intent, the name.
As the groups separated, Twilight, Celestia, Luna, Chrysalis, and a select few remained in the main foyer. They would be the ones who would decide on a suitable name, after the discussions. There were two teams, one focused on the name, the second focusing on the occupations of each and every member. While a lot were obvious, a few were more vague.
Either that or a few of the positions that were needed were already filled, making that position pointless to have someone fill. Luckily, when it comes to the wellbeing of others, especially Pokemon, Fluttershy had that covered.
Same could be said about Rainbow Dash in regards to speed-based tasks, and that's only in a small amount of ways that these ponies excel. Everyone was excelling in some regard, from science to technology, to battle and even magic.
These conversations would carry on in the Unilight Palace and would soon reach a climax in terms of their purpose. These would not end in failure, and would be fruitful. Especially since a couple of minds were present and could easily solve the issue. This was especially true in the case of the occupations, where a few were quickly found to be the perfect fit for certain roles that had yet to be taken.
In the Library, the group of ponies, trainers and the likes were gathered. Of course, the smartest were here and that included Starlight, Zero and a few others, ready to have this discussion and resolve the issues surrounding their occupation, which would not be the same.
Some had to be repeated due to the large size of this Organization, which was good, that way, not as many members would feel left out and unable to have a job in the team. No, everyone was capable of contributing to a specific field, and not just in battles, either.
"Ohoo...All this for us?" Moondancer held up an array of books she's never read, her interest peaked. She loved to study, almost as much as Twilight did. Having another person that studied was a blessing, and was the exact reason she was a part of this category.,
All the books here could only be found in the Lost Universe and contained vast knowledge about all of Unilight and the world that used to be. From the history to the wildlife, the Pokemon, the Humans, Ponies and the technology that was available, the resources were endless and could help the Team greatly.
The knowledge here was tremendous and beyond valuable. Spells that no one has ever even thought of using, the history and the creatures that resided there, it was amazing to learn about.
"This is perfect, isn't it?." Zero said. All the books that had to do with science and technology were the ones that interested him the most, and a few that dealt with Magic were a plus. "All this tech far surpasses what I can do."
"Amazing, isn't it? This is a goldmine." Moondancer nodded. The amount of information and the secrets hidden within the pages was staggering. It would take a lot of time and effort to go through them.
"It surpasses what most of us can come up with." Juniper spoke. "For us to even build one of these things, I'd say it'll take at least three decades or more."
"Hmm...Maybe not." But Zero, being the tech-head that he was, wished to replicate this far sooner than that due to current events. When looking at the options in the books, his face lit up. "If I can find the right equipment and a few helpers, I can make something like this...." His brain began working and thinking. The wheels in his head were spinning at full power.
"A great approach, my boy!" Startling him by putting his hand on his shoulder as Professor Oak smiled. "I'd say some elbow grease from all up professors could speed it up, wouldn't you agree?"
"We're hoping that's the case." Luna uttered some words. "It's why we invited you all to begin with." This was certainly an interesting endeavor. One that would keep everyone on their toes, especially with all the resources available to them.
Tideway Fields.
While many were in the Unilight Palace, Ash took a stroll outside, Pikachu resting peacefully on his shoulder. Ash already knew what his role in this new team was and didn't have to do much. He and a select group of trainers were essentially the muscle of the team.
If there was someone or something powerful, they could count on Ash, Red and Ethan to take it on and grant everyone safety. And by extension, all 10 counterparts once they are finally reunited. Speaking of Red and Ethan, they were with Ash too, strolling out of Unilight Palace and the trio found themselves at a lovely grassland known as Tideway Fields.
"Hilbert's gonna love this. Once we find him, he'll start going off about how he's the best as always. He'll fit right in, don't ya think?" Ethan spoke.
"..." Red easily agreed, knowing how Hilbert is.
"By the way, about what Twilight said about befriending Prisma. I was already on board with it, but she's on to something, don't ya think?" Ethan questioned. "If all 10 of us are together, do you think we could speak to Prisma? Instead of just having him influence or even take over us?"
"That'd be sweet. Meeting Prisma face-to-face would help a lot. "Ash agreed right away. "Twilight said she and her four counterparts met with Twilight Luminaria, but that was only in a dream. But it felt so real to them. If the same thing could happen to us, we'd do what we can."
As they conversed with each other, in the distance of this field, they spotted someone approaching while in the air. Red was the first to see it High up in the skies, he saw the familiar visage of a Charizard flying by. But it wasn't just any Charizard, it was Leon's Charizard, along with Leon himself being on top of him.
"Ash! Red!" Leon cried out, noticing the two. Charizard swooped in and landed next to the boys. Leon got down from his Charizard and ran to them. "I thought I'd see you guys back at Ponyille or that palace, but here you are."
"Leon? You're here?" Ash uttered. "Is something up?"
"No, nothing's up. Just like a lot of others, I came after hearing about that new time you've all recently formed." Leon answered. He was still clad in his Champion uniform, which made him stick out. "And I'm just here to hang out around Equestria as always."
"Yeah, we've got a pretty huge team! I think there's like a thousand or more of us there!" Ash exclaimed, unsure of the exact number, but he wouldn't be too off.
"Tough, isn't it? Having to do all of this because of this Prisma guy." Leon remarked. He could only imagine the trouble that was brewing in his wake, if the stories were true.
"Well...That's been the big talk all around, hasn't it?" Ethan chuckled lightly. "Not much else gets talked about aside from that. But once we're done with it, I'm positive that'll be smooth sailing after this."
"Hm. Come on. Let's take a ride over to Ponyville while we're on the way." Leon said, suggesting the three of them to bring out their respective Pokemon that could carry them there through air.
And so they did. Ash brought out Dragonite, Red summoned his own Charizard. Ethan didn't quite have someone to carry him, so he sat with Ash and both were airborne. Following the champion, the three flew through the air and towards their destination.
"Are you planning on joining too, Leon Since you came all the way here?" Ash asked while flying beside him.
"I wasn't really thinking about it, honestly." Leon admitted. He didn't have a set plan on what to do. "But maybe it wouldn't be such a bad idea. Besides, I could help out. If a crisis ever happened in the region, I'll answer the call and help as a Champion. I just hope that I'll be strong enough."
"You are, aren't you? You're the World Champion after all and even back in our universe, you were the Champion of Galar for so long." Ethan responded as Red backed it up with a nod. They know exactly how strong Leon is.
"I am. But to be honest, even with that, there's something I'm just worried about." Leon looked away, his eyes growing a little dark. "You remember it, Ash? When we encountered Eternatus on the Darkest Day?"
"Yeah. You just finished having a battle with it when we showed up. You pushed Eternatus back but it found new strength to keep going, right?"
"I did. But, that's about it. Back there, after Eternatus started to make its turnaround, I felt something I haven't felt in a long time. I felt scared."
"Scared?" Ash repeated. "Really?"
"Pika..."
"It shouldn't seem that way, right? I mean, at the end of the day, we on and even caught Eternatus. But if we're being honest, if you, Twilight and the others weren't there, I don't know if I could've ever beat that thing." Leon continued. "I've been a champ for a very, very long time. But I felt powerless back there. It makes me wonder if there are others out there stronger than me. Usually, that would make me happy and excited..."
But not this time. Leon was actually worried about what kind of opponents could appear. Mainly, those that pose a threat to the world, and whether or not he would be able to handle the task. The strongest of threats that could harm a large portion of the world and leave a mark, or the ones that would erase everything.
He wanted to protect the world from any dangers, but he was now doubting that, worried about his own strength. "You get what I mean, right? Have you ever felt that before?"
"I have. A lot of times." Ash didn't sugarcoat, leaning forward. "This whole Prisma's thing got me worried for everyone else. If we're not careful, everyone could get hurt."
"I haven't had Prisma influence me yet, but from what I now, I never want it to happen." Ethan expressed his worries. In reality, they all had that same fear.
The fear that despite all of their strength, there would be something fierce that was out of their control and reach, that would cause a disaster that they wouldn't be able to fix. Or the worst, their lives of others cut short at the hands of something or someone who was simply more skilled and powerful than them.
This was the feeling that was in the pit of their stomach, a cold and uncomfortable sensation that gnaws at ones insides and leaves them feeling numb. Even Red felt this, despite how he was. As they all rode in the air, the silence was deafening, the only sound was the wind whipping past their ears as the ground raced beneath their feet, and their hearts pounding in their chests.
No matter the confidence in the skills of each and every one of them, their doubts still lingered. The lingering sense of unease and uncertainty hung over the group like a storm cloud, a reminder of the unknown and the potential danger that lay ahead of the.
"But, I still think we can get through it." Despite this, Ash had confidence. Not just in himself, but in his friends. "If we can't do it, we can count on our friends and everyone else. That's what I've seen."
"Even with that, you count on all of your friends, huh? That's something I notice you do a lot." Leon put on a light smile.
"Don't you do the same, Leon?" Ethan asked.
"Well...being at the top gets kinda lonely, y'know. I don't have a lot of friends. Not like before. I still have my Pokemon but...that's about it." Leon looked up at the blue skies. "I haven't even seen Sonia in a while. Even when I do, it doesn't last that long."
On this day, Ash saw a part of Leon that existed within this seemingly unstoppable trainer. Just like him and everyone else, Leon was human. He had emotions, feelings, dreams and fears. "It'd be nice to have that kind of strength you have, Ash. All your friends being what drives you..."
"But you are my friend." Ash said, surprising Leon. "Right, you guys?"
"..." Red smiled, agreeing. That bake-off the three of the had cemented their friendship, as that small event Opal put up was a blast for all three of them. Leon didn't see it at first, since h always so focused and worried about his number one status. Both a blessing and somewhat of a curse.
...Yeah. I am." Leon admitted that. To have friends in his life again as a great feeling overall. That was something he wished he didn't lose for so long. But thanks to Ash, he retrieved it once more. And without any doubt, he also saw Ash as a friend as they headed for Unilight Palace.
But while heading there, Ash had to wonder something. This conversation they had could help with Prisma. Specifically, by further looking into Prisma's past. Leon is the Strongest in this Universe while Prisma was the strongest in his own. Ash had to wonder if Leon's fears were also similar to what Prisma has, and how his own journey was. By understanding that, maybe they could have a chance to save him. Only time would tell as the journey continues.
