My Little Pokémon: Grander World
A Moon that never Sparkles
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUniverse 50. Mirados. Afternoon.
The clash between One Light and the Arcane Institute began once more. And joining in was Twilight Moonlight, finally showing herself in the midst of all this chaos.
Twilight Moonlight would hold the ball tight with her magic, and then throw it. She was as serious as ever. Out of her Poke Ball emerged her Hisuian Lilligant. As soon as she saw her opponent, her eyes burned with a passion and her expression hardened.
"Lil-li-gant." The grass and fighting type declared her name. She would take a fighting stance, her arms up high to guard her face, and her legs positioned in a combat-ready position, bent and ready to strike. With a confident smirk, Lilligant knew that victory would be hers.
"Of all times, you pick now to start a battle?!" Twilight Sparkle would be shocked.
"I have a lot going through my head right now. I can barely even comprehend a lot of what I've just learned. To blow off some steam and to still carry out my mission in a way, I challenge you. So come on. Battle me so that we can end it. Let this be the last time the two of us have a battle."
"Moonlight..." Hearing this confused Twilight Sparkle. The way her counterpart was speaking showed signs of doubt, confusion and struggle from within. Was she really that conflicted?
"Now." But Twilight Moonlight was being serious, with her tone of voice not wavering at all, showing no sign of hesitation or uncertainty. Twilight Sparkle could sense it, that Twilight Moonlight was not backing down from her decision. It was clear she wanted this to be the final time they fought, and Twilight Sparkle would respect that decision.
"Then I won't hold back." Twilight Sparkle would look at Eve, and then back to Twilight Moonlight. "You're on." She would accept her challenge, and the crowd would be excited to see another battle between the Twilights.
"Alright! Show her what you're made of, Lilligant! Use Aerial Ace!"
"Lilli!" The grass-type nodded, before taking a deep breath. In an instant, Lilligant's body was surrounded by a bright yellow aura and she leaped towards Espeon. With her arms crossed and legs bent, she was ready to strike. Her speed was incredible, and her agility was unmatched as she moved like a graceful dancer. As soon as she was close enough to her target, she swung her legs in a wide arc, slashing through the air and sending a powerful blast of wind towards her opponent.
"Eve! Dodge with Quick Attack!"
"Esp!" Epseon would move at lightning speeds, her fur crackling with energy and electricity. She was a blur of motion, a streak of purple as she darted from one place to another, avoiding the powerful gust of wind. She was a skilled battler, and she had the reflexes to match. Her movements were precise, her timing impeccable. She had trained hard and practiced often, honing her skills to perfection. She had the strength, the agility, and the speed to outmaneuver her opponent.
"Espeon!" With the wind attack missing, Eve would dash forward at her opponent, intending to crash into the Grass-Fighting-Type, the white sparks on her coat turning into a mighty surge of energy.
But Lilligant had a plan. She looked at her trainer and the two would have a moment of understanding. With a quick nod from the Hisuian Variant, Moonlight gave her the command. "Leaf Blade, now!"
"Lil-li-gant!"
With a fierce cry, Lilligant's petals started to glow a bright green and extend, forming a sharp blade. She quickly twirled her body, creating a whirlwind of green energy that enveloped her. With her newfound power, she leaped into the air, and as she descended, she slashed at her opponent. The sound of the blades slicing through the air was deafening, and the force of the impact was immense. The leaves of the trees shook in the wake of her attack, and the ground beneath her feet trembled.
Lilligant had landed a devastating blow, and Espeon could do nothing to stop it. She was thrown back and her body hit the ground with a thud. "E-Esp!"
"Follow up with Axe Kick!"
"Gant!" Hisuian Lilligant would soon leap once more, her leg glowing in a white aura. The aura was shaped like an axe, with the edge of the weapon sharpened to an almost razor-like edge. She held her leg high above her head, ready to strike. As she descended, she swung her leg downward in a wide arc, her foot connecting with her opponent's body with a thunderous crash. The impact was so strong that the earth beneath them shook and the air around them vibrated.
"E-Esp!"
"Push her off with Psychic!"
"Eon...!" Despite the staggering blow, Espeon managed to launch Lilligant off in time, enveloping her in a Psychic Energy and throwing her across the race track.
"Lil-li-gant!" Lilligant was able to land on her feet. Once again, she would enter the same pose she had done before. Arms up high and legs were positioned in a way that would allow her to fight.
"Return for now, Eve!" Promptly Twilight would bring Espeon back to her Poke Ball, and in that moment, she grabbed another and threw it. "Now, Togekiss! I need you!"
"Togekiss!"
"Sky Attack!"
"Toge!" Togekiss would flap her wings, ascending into the sky. Her eyes were fixed on her target, and she began to charge. Her body started to glow a brilliant shade of gold, as if the sun itself was embracing her. Her wings would rise rapidly in strength, each stroke propelling her faster and higher.
Very soon, she was a streak of light, a shooting star hurtling across the sky. As she neared her target, her eyes narrowed, and her body tensed. She was ready to strike, to unleash the full force of her attack. With a powerful cry, she descended upon the battlefield.
"Meet it with Aerial Ace!"
"Gant!" Lilligant took off at high speeds, soon clashing her feet against Togekiss's body, the two Pokemon meeting in the middle. The force of the impact sent shockwaves through the arena, and a cloud of dust billowed out from the point of contact. The spectators shielded their eyes, and a few gasped in surprise. But when the dust settled, the crowd roared in approval. Both Pokémon had survived, and were ready to battle again.
"Now, Togekiss, use Aura Sphere!"
"Togekiss!" Togekiss would create an orb of blue energy from her mouth, and fire it at her opponent.
"Slice it with Leaf Blade!"
"Lilli!" Once more, Lilligant's petals would extend, forming a sharp blade. She quickly twirled her body, creating a whirlwind of green energy that enveloped her. She leaped into the air, and as she descended, she slashed at the orb of blue energy. The sound of the blades slicing through the air was deafening, and the force of the impact was immense. The leaves of the trees shook in the wake of her attack, and the ground beneath her feet trembled.
Lilligant had sliced the Aura Sphere in half, the energy from the sphere dissipating into nothingness. But after cutting it in half, she would approach Togekiss, attempting to slash at her next.
"Togekiss! Fly up!" Twilight shouted, and in that moment, Togekiss would flap her wings, ascending into the sky, avoiding the Leaf Blade attack. "Now, Dazzling Gleam!"
"Togekiss!" Togekiss created an intense ball of light that exploded in front of the Flowering Pokemon, blinding her and making her lose focus. The light was so intense that it illuminated the entire battlefield, making the audience shield their eyes. As the light faded, Togekiss was nowhere to be seen.
"L-Lilli?!"
"Where is she?!" Moonlight thought, before suddenly seeing Togekiss from above. "Up there!"
"Togekiss!" At high speeds, Togekiss approached with a blinding light, crashing into Lilligant and knocking her back. The impact was so great that Lilligant was thrown across the battlefield. She skidded to a stop, her body falling flat.
She had fainted.
"Lilligant..."
"Return!" Twilight Moonlight would bring her back, clenching her teeth and closing her eyes.
"Moonlight! You don't look like you're in your right mind, so stop this!" Twilight Sparkle shouted from the stands. "You're conflicted about something aren't you?! I can see it in your eyes!"
"Kh...!" Moonlight's eyes shot wide open, glaring at her as she clenched her teeth again. "You're right about that. Right now, my mission...I'm so unsure of it. I was listening that whole time and learned the truth. It's because of Ash Ketchum that I even exist. If he never made that wish on the Jirachi, I would've never existed. The one I'm designated to capture and bring to the Institute is the very one who brought me into this world."
"Moonlight..."
"How am I supposed to think straight? What am I supposed to do? A strong part of me wants to see the mission carried out regardless. But a small part of me, deep inside, is hesitant, and I don't know what to do. I've been trained to be this way, to have no hesitation. To never let my emotions get in the way. So why am I feeling this way?! Why can't I decide?!" She asked herself. In that moment, she grabbed her second Poke Ball. "Go, Basculegion!"
"Basculegion!"
"Moonlight... I..." Twilight Sparkle was unsure of what to say to her. She could see that she was struggling greatly thanks to this revelation. Twilight Moonlight was having an existential crisis.
"Even if I'm unsure, by defeating you all, maybe I can find the answer to what I need to do. And that starts with you, Twilight! Basculegion, Waterfall!"
"Basc!" Basculegion began to swim in the air, and would soon ascend at high speeds, a veil of water surrounding its body. It was ready to crash down into Togekiss.
"Use Air Slash!"
"Togekiss!" With a flap of her wings, she created a series of blades made of wind, launching them at Basculegion. The blades of wind clashed with the water, creating a great explosion, blowing both Pokemon back.
"Bas!"
"Togekiss!"
"Get up, both of you!" Both their trainers shouted, and soon, both Pokemon got back up.
"Use Ice Fang!"
"Bas!" Basculegion quickly charged forward, the fangs on her mouth covered in a veil of ice. It would soon clash with Togekiss, biting down on her.
"Toge!" Togekiss cried out in pain, feeling its fangs bite down hard. The ice on her fangs made the pain much worse. Rapidly, the ice was spreading
"Togekiss! Use Dazzling Gleam to free yourself!"
"Togekiss!" Togekiss focused as hard as it could, and soon a veil of psychic energy surrounded her. She would headbutt the fish Pokemon, causing it to let go.
"Basculegion! Use Bite!"
"Bascu!" Basculegion quickly approached at high speeds, and bit down on her wings, causing her to cry out in pain once more. Its teeth tore right through, causing the ice to shatter, and the wings to break free. But now, she was falling towards the ground. Her wings were damaged by the bite.
"Bascu..." It looked down at her, and would suddenly descend at a high speed. In that moment, she would bite Togekiss's neck, slamming her onto the ground.
"T-Toge...!" And yet, Togekiss still tried fighting back, even when pinned down.
"Don't let her get up! Finish her with Ice Fang!"
"Bas!" In that moment, Basculegion's fangs would become coated in a veil of ice as it bit down on Togekiss's neck with all the strength she had.
"TO!" Togekiss let out a cry, and her entire body became cold. "T-Togekiss..."
"Return." Twilight Sparkle would bring her Pokemon back. "Good job. Take a nice, long rest." She then threw the next Poke Ball out, wasting no time whatsoever. "Go! Minccy!"
"Cinccino!" Up next was Cinccino.
"Use Thunder!"
"Cin...!" Cinccino generated electricity from within its body and released a powerful lightning strike at Basculegion.
"Phantom Force!"
"Legion!" Swiftly, Basculegion would move into another dimension, narrowly avoiding the blast. It waited for the right moment to strike, before re-entering the realm. Obviously, this would not affect Cinccino, but it was used as an evasion tactic instead.
"Bite!"
"Legion!" It would lunge at Cinccino, its fangs glowing with a dark power.
"Jump, Minccy!"
"Cin! Cinccino!" With great agility, Cinccino dodged the attack, leaping into the air before getting on Basculegion's back. The Big Fish Pokemon thrashed around, trying to shake Minccy off, but she held on tightly. "Cinccino!"
"Thunder!"
"Ccino!" From above, the clouds would rumble, and a powerful lightning bolt came crashing down on Basculegion.
"Bas!" Basculegion cried out, and felt itself getting electrocuted.
"Keep it going, Minccy!" Twilight Sparkle said, watching as Minccy continued her relentless assault. Basculegion tried to fight back, but Minccy's agility and electrical attacks were too much. With one final Thunder, Basculegion was finally defeated. "Bascu..."
"Return." Moonlight said, bringing her Pokemon back. "Faster than I expected...
"Great job, Minccy!"
"Ccino!" She stood proudly. Being that she was Twilight's first-ever Pokemon, it made the Scarf Pokemon proud that she hasn't gotten sloppy one bit.
"But, Moonlight! If you're unsure, then you don't have to do this!" Twilight Sparkle tried to reach her once more. "You don't have to fight against us!"
"I can't...! I don't know what to do, and it's driving me insane!" This conflict was eating her away from the inside. Moonlight just couldn't think straight. Her mind was a mess and the only thing she could feel was to keep fighting to get answers. "So stop trying to reach me and let me do this!"
"You're doing this because there's a part of you that knows something is wrong!" Twilight Sparkle bellowed. "After everything you've heard, do you really want to destroy Ash?!"
"The threat of Prisma is still something that I can't ignore, even with this truth. Even though...Ash himself...!" Moonlight growled. That's when it hit Twilight Sparkle. It was who Ash was that Moonlight was struggling with. Twilight Moonlight was now met with the obstacle of taking out someone that truly was innocent.
Prior to this, she only saw Ash as an enemy, regardless of how safe he was. Just because he had Prisma's soul within him, that was enough to drive Twilight Moonlight's motivation to stop him. But now that the truth was revealed, that there was more to this. To her own existence. That was a major obstacle in her path. Twilight Sparkle could see it in her eyes. That conflict was so clear to her, and Twilight Sparkle realized this was her chance to stop Moonlight and bring her back to her senses.
Otherwise, the worst might happen.
"I don't need you talking to me now! Not now, not ever!" Moonlight angrily slammed a Poke Ball out, summoning her third Pokemon. "Appear! Umbreon!"
"Umbreon!" Her Shiny Umbreon was sent out, ready to fight for his trainer.
"Minccy, use Tri Attack!"
"Cin!" By holding her arms up, three triangle-shaped energy beams were generated, and would soon launch outwards.
"Umbreon, use Dig!"
"Um!" Swiftly, it began to dig underground, evading the attack entirely. It was a narrow miss, and the attack was sent outwards, towards the distance.
"Cinccino?" Cinccino looked around, trying to find Umbreon.
"Strike the ground! Use the Ice!"
"Ccino!" Cinccino would use the Ice from Tri Attack, redirecting the beam and striking the ground. This would cause a powerful veil of ice to surround the field. "Cinccino!"
"Umbreon, come up!"
"Bre!" Umbreon would come up, and strike the ground, sending a wave of energy forwards. He managed to erupt before the ice could cover everything.
"Cin!" This wave would cause her to be knocked into the air.
"Quick! Strike it with Dark Pulse!"
"Umbre!" It generated a sphere of dark power and sent it flying at Cinccino, who couldn't avoid it. The impact caused an explosion and a loud cry of pain from Minccy, before it came back down, falling to the ground.
"Follow up with Quick Attack!"
"Eon!" At lightning speeds, Umbreon would descend and ram Cinccino in the chest before she could get up. This was enough to knock the wind out of her.
"Ci-Cinccino!"
"Again!"
"Umb! Umbreon!" Umbreon went back for seconds, spiralling in the air before descending at high speeds.
"Deflect it! Use your scarf!"
"No! Cinccino!" Cinccino would use her main trait to her advantage. Her oily fur. With her eyes narrowing, she would cover most of her body with her white fur. When Umbreon impacted, her fur would act like a shield, as she would use her fur to toss Umbreon to the side. "Cin!"
"Breon?!" It was sent backwards, but landed perfectly, without sustaining any damage. However, it was still caught off-guard. Moonlight couldn't believe her eyes.
"Tch! Dark Pulse!"
"Umbreon!" A quick burst of darkness was launched, and it was sent flying at Cinccino. But this is where Cinccino would start playing defensively. She continued to use her fur to the best of her abilities, deflecting the dark power. "Cin! Cinccino!" The Dark Pulse would continue to be thrown around.
"Again! Use Dark Pulse, and again! And again!"
"Umbre! Umbre! Umbre!" Each time, the Dark Pulse would be deflected, and would fly off course. The blasts of darkness flew in various directions, some crashing into objects and some even hitting the Pokemon from the Arcane Institute. No matter how many times Umbreon launched them, Cinccino would deflect them.
"Keep it up, Minccy! You're doing great!"
"Cinccino!"
"That's enough!" Moonlight roared with anger. "Psychic!"
"Eon!" Umbreon's eyes would shine with a bright, blue hue, which would allow him to bypass the defensive fur. With this power, Cinccino was left vulnerable, as Umbreon used its Psychic powers to levitate her off the ground. "Umbreon!"
"Slam her repeatedly!"
"Breon!" Umbreon began to slam Cinccino into the floor, over and over again, with no signs of stopping. Each time she was slammed into the ground, the pain only got worse. "Umbre!"
"C-Cinccino!"
"Minccy, use Ice from Tri Attack to stop yourself from being slammed again! Freeze the area around you!"
"I don't think so. I refuse to let you get the better of me." But Twilight Moonlight would be sure to shut that down. And there was one way of doing so in her eyes. Her Moonspace. With her horn glowing, she spoke the name to activate the spell. "Moonspace."
In seconds, her Moonspace activated, with the arena becoming swallowed up in the dark blue, mist-like realm she's able to generate. Once more, the Moonspace was appearing. And because of the activation of this Realm-summoning spell, the Sun would be manipulated to set sooner than anticipated, and a Full Moon was going to rise.
The Moonspace caught the attention of everyone on both sides and the crowd, the azure skies shifting into a pale blue, then darker, and then suddenly the night sky was present. Although, it seemed to bigger than before. The Moonspace reacted to Twilight Moonlight's emotions, prompting the realm to be vastly bigger than it was the first time she used it.
Once the Full Moon was up, Umbreon began to envelop himself in a shimmering blue light, boosted by the Moonspace.
"Kh!" Twilight narrowed her eyes, readying herself for the worst.
"What am I to do after this? My existence...everything I've learned as a child...relates to this?!" She angrily said, causing the Moonspace to intensify greatly. "Aren't you even the slightest bit fearful about this, Sparkle?! Your existence comes from that wish too, doesn't it?! The existence of so many others are connected to that wish!"
"I'm not." Twilight shook her head. "It's terrifying when you look at it, but I'm not afraid of it. I can't be afraid of it. Because I have my friends and my family. And besides, I don't think my existence is bound by that wish at all. I was there before the wish. But I understand why you're afraid. You don't have to be, Moonlight."
"What do you mean I don't have to be?!" She barked.
"You have everyone around you, don't you? Your friends? Maybe even your family? That's what I can always come to and know will always be with me."
"Friends and family..." She growled at those words. Those two words did not have the same meaning to her as they did to Twilight Sparkle. Twilight Sparkle has always been surrounded by her friends and family, gaining new ones as time goes on. She did have a moment in her life where she did everything on her own, not being around her friends all that much. But eventually, she found five friends that changed it all, and one more that further elevated that change.
But not Twilight Moonlight.
For her, she was always distant from her friends and family. From the day she was born, the soul of Twilight Luminaria showed her visions of Prisma and his destruction. She was always destined to face him one day. And as a result, her parents grew distant from her.
Throughout most of her childhood, before she became a student at the Arcane Institute, her parents just couldn't reach her. Not when she was born into such an intense mission like her. No one in her town could ever reach her. She only had her books and her Pokemon. But even her Pokemon, she did not consider them friends. Rather, they were just weapons meant to destroy Prisma, the greatest threat to existence.
Her poor parents were neglected by their own daughter. Her father and mother couldn't do anything. In Moonlight's own words as a child, she couldn't let her parents distract her from her mission. And so, she neglected them. And it hurt them to see their daughter like that, and not wanting to be around them.
To her, they were a distraction. They weren't friends. They weren't family.
But that small part of Moonlight, that minuscule part of her soul that lives within, had another thought. Much like how she hesitated to destroy anyone for the supposed greater good, there was a part of her that wanted to spend time with her parents. That wanted to be a child and experience what children do.
But the mission always came first. It had to.
Even when she joined the Arcane Institute and met Silver Swirl, the one pony who has gotten close to hr on many occasions, even she wasn't considered a friend. At least, that is what Moonlight believed. But that little part of her wished to believe it and yet it was always held back by her most stoic parts.
Twilight Moonlight did not understand the joy of family The joy of friendship.
She had no friends.
She had no family.
But she had her Pokemon.
And she had a mission.
"I don't want to hear about any of those! So silence!" Outraged, Twilight Moonlight released an outburst of insane magical energy, sending it towards Cinccino.
"C-Cinno!" Cinccino was unable to handle the raw magical power, being pushed back by it. Cinccino was thrown back into the ground, and the Moonspace began to intensify further, the night sky enveloping all of the area. Twilight covered her eyes as the outburst came her way, enveloping her completely.
Spotting this not too far from here was Ash, who gasped at the sight. But he had no time to look away. Not when Kimia's Gardevoir was on the offensive, clashing with Pikachu. He had to make sure Kimia's Gardevoir was kept at bay.
"Pikachu, use Thunderbolt!"
"Pikaaaa!" Pikachu unleashed a massive bolt of electricity from his body, striking Gardevoir and knocking it back. However, Gardevoir did not fall to the ground, using its Psychic to levitate in the air. Gardevoir unleashed a burst of Shadow Balls from the sky, raining down on Pikachu and Ash. Ash dodged one of the Shadow Balls while Pikachu used Thunderbolt to strike the next. The last Shadow Ball was able to come close to the two but they rolled away from it, allowing the Shadow Ball to explode in a flash of black energy.
Gardevoir came rushing down at Pikachu. Pikachu was able to jump away from the attack, using Quick Attack to do so.
"Iron Tail!"
"Hyper Beam!"
"Garde...!" Gardevoir put her hands together, charging up a massive ball of energy that released in the form of a beam. "VOIR!"
"Slide on the beam, Pikachu!"
"Pika!" Pikachu's tail began to glow, jumping into the air. But instead of clashing with the Hyper Beam, Pikachu used his tail to slide on the beam, maneuvering himself around the blast and getting closer to Gardevoir. Once he was close enough, he spun around in the air and struck Gardevoir with his Iron Tail. The blast of the Iron Tail caused a burst of energy and sent Gardevoir flying back, crashing into the ground.
"Pika!"
"Hmph! Dazzling Gleam!"
"Gardevoir!" She recovered quicker than expected, immediately throwing as many rays of Fairy power as possible.
"Run for it!"
"Pi! Pika!" Pikachu took off, running and dodging every single ray of power. As Pikachu ran, the rays continued to rain down on the battlefield, leaving craters and cracks on the ground.
"Voir!" Gardevoir chased him down, continuing to unleash these rays. "Garde!"
"Pikachu, behind you!"
"Pika?" Pikachu looked behind him and spotted the rays coming right towards him. With a swift dodge to his left, he was able to avoid it. But Gardevoir was quick on her feet too. She landed on the ground, promptly slamming the rays into the ground. They travelled across the ground, bursting out repeatedly as they got closer and closer.
"Voir!"
"Electroweb!"
"Pika-Pikachu!" To counter this, Pikachu jumped high in the air and generated a massive web of electricity from his body. The web was as large as a net, and it descended on top of the rays, holding them down. Pikachu then kicked the web back to Gardevoir, who was forced to jump into the air and evade it. "Pika!"
"You're every bit as formidable as your information makes you out to be" Alpha stated as Gardevoir would descend, both Pokemon staring at each other.
"Thanks." Ash smirked, adjusting his hat. "But don't count my friends out either."
Speaking of his friends, they were currently feeling the pressure from the BlueLight Sisters. Sceptile held back Zoroark who tried slashing at him, the two interlocking claws and entering a struggle between each other.
Sceptile held back against Zoroark, but Zoroark's Night Slash caused a tremendous amount of pain to go through Sceptile's body, prompting him to release his grip and step back. Zoroark would spin around, using her other claw to strike at Sceptile's chest. The Night Slash, combined with the impact of the claw, caused a massive energy gash on Sceptile's chest.
"T-Tile!" He cried out in pain, falling backwards to the ground and rolling back. Zoroark pounced at him, attempting another strike, but Sceptile was able to recover, quickly rolling out of the way.
"Sceptile! Are you alright?!" Applejack cried out.
"Use Night Slash!" Violet yelled.
"Pheromosa! Triple Kick!"
"Phero!" Defending Sceptile from Zoroark's incoming Night Slash was a swift kick from Pheromosa. The first kick was able to block the Night Slash, preventing Zoroark from landing the hit. Pheromosa would spin around once more and kick Zoroark's side, before doing the same motion again to kick its face. Zoroark was sent flying back, only to be caught by Delphox.
"Scorch them all! Use Flamethrower!" Phantasia would say with full aggression
"Del...!" Delphox would raise her wand, bringing it down as she unleashed a massive blast of fire from her mouth. It burned the battlefield, turning the ground into a charred field of destruction.
"Blow those flames away with Superpower, Braviary!" Rainbow Dash captilized on this.
"Bra...Viary!" By challenging a ton of power into his wings, Braviary would clap his wings together, unleashing a powerful blast of air from them. This air was able to blow away Delphox's flames while also pushing Delphox herself back.
"D-Del!"
"Time to capitalize! Restrain 'em, Sceptile! Frenzy Plant!"
"Scep...Tile!" The Forest Pokemon dug his hands into the ground, summoning roots that burrowed into the battlefield and shot up from below the BlueLights. The sisters were suddenly caught in the middle of a forest of roots that were trying to ensnare them. Sceptile would then leap up to grab the roots, using them to whip the three sisters and their Pokemon around, before finally throwing them back down to the ground, creating a massive shockwave of debris and energy.
"L-Lucario! Bone Rush!" Flawless stuttered.
"Rrrr!" Lucario would use the power of the Flawless Aura to destroy the roots that held him in the air. Once he was free, Lucario's bone staff appeared in his paws as he jumped down to the ground and attempted to attack Sceptile. But Sceptile was able to jump out of the way, and Lucario was only able to hit the ground instead. He spun around and unleashed a barrage of Bone Rush attacks on Sceptile, who was able to dodge the first few, but was eventually knocked back by Lucario's power.
"Leaf Blade!"
"Triple Kick!"
"Scep!" In unison, Sceptile and Pheromosa rushed at each other, their attacks connecting with a powerful collision. Sceptile's Leaf Blade clashed with Pheromosa's Triple Kick, the three of them going back and forth. Lucario would expertly block and deflect the incoming attacks with his bone, managing to keep up with Pheromosa's speed and Sceptile's agility. The battle between the three became a stalemate, with each one of them trying to gain the upper hand. But Sceptile and Pheromosa were relentless, and they continued to fight as they tried to take down the Pokemon that were opposing them.
"Superpower!"
"Braviary!" That is until Braviary would descend with Superpower, his talons glowing as he performed a dive-kick. Lucario looked up, only for Braviary's feet to slam against the bone, breaking it and staggering the Aura Pokemon. With this stagger, Sceptile and Pheromosa found an opening.
Together, they would slash and kick Lucario right in the center of his chest, sending the Pokemon flying back. Lucario was launched into the ground, rolling back and landing in front of Flawless.
"Why you...!" Flawless snarled at them.
"Not so tough when you aren't pulling any cheap tricks, eh?" Rainbow Dash taunted the three sisters and their Pokemon.
"You're strong, but I can confidently say that we can defeat you." Rarity flipped her mane. "You've been trained to defeat Prisma, but we've been trained to protect our friends. Well, not exactly trained. It just comes naturally~"
"Oh, I'll wipe that smug look off your face...!" Phantasia growled.
"Fine, whatever." Flawless halted Phantasia. "You're not pushovers at all. That's our fault for thinking it would be easier the second time around. But we've been through tougher scenarios. We're not about to lose now. Not to the likes of you."
Flawless gave a small grin. She then turned back to the battlefield, her gaze focusing on Sceptile, Braviary, and Pheromosa. She knew what time it was. Her sisters knew as well. So did Applejack, Rainbow Dash and Rarity.
It was time for Mega Evolution, and by extension, the full power of the Flawless Aura.
Flawless was excited about this. But she wouldn't be the only one initiating Mega Evolution. Her eyes turned to Alpha in the distance, who would soon look over at her, nodding in understanding. A few Betas and Zetas had the same response. It wasn't just one Mega Evolution inbound.
It would be multiple.
"Watch this! You're about to see Mega Evolution across the board!" Flawless cackled, activating the keystone on her wrist. Her sisters did the same thing, their bodies glowing as the power of Mega Evolution was unleashed upon the battlefield. Multiple Pokemon of the Arcane Institute were undergoing Mega Evolution, changing their forms and becoming far stronger.
From Gardevoir to Lucario, a great increase in strength was about to come for the sole purpose of making things harder for Ash's group. The entire field was enveloped in the light of Mega Evolution. Never before has there been so much Mega Energy in one spot.
As this was going on, over with Twilight Sparkle and Twilight Moonlight, the outburst of magic from Moonlight had ended, the dust clearing from the field. Moonlight panted, using more magic than she ever has while still having a lot more to give. From the dust, Cinccino had been knocked out by the outburst, suffering tremendous damage.
The Scarf Pokemon had been downed, the energy of the Moonspace crackling around her. Twilight Moonlight was able to breathe, knowing she had defeated Cinccino. But she didn't defeat Twilight Sparkle.
Twilight Sparkle managed to withstand the outburst, taking in deep breaths as well, albeit much quieter. Moonlight scowled at her, as her counterpart would walk over to Cinccino, holding her up from the ground.
"Minccy...you did good. You deserve some rest." Twilight Sparkle smiled, before returning her to her Pokeball. She then looked up to Moonlight, her expression stone cold.
"Moonlight. I understand what you're going through. And I wish I could've solved it sooner. I still wish to do so." Twilight Sparkle uttered to her counterpart, showing sympathy. "But...To help you...I'm going to have to beat you. Not just beat you...but absolutely overwhelm you."
"W-What...?" Moonlight flinched at that statement. Twilight Sparkle sounded a lot more intimidating than usual.
"Even though I want to help you break out of this...hurting my friends is something I cannot forgive." Twilight Sparkle frowned, her eyes sharper than before, causing Moonlight to flinch. By harming Cinccino greatly, she had incurred Twilight Sparkle's wrath. A wrath that is usually well hidden but can show itself here and there. And this was without Horizon Storm who was currently captured.
This was Twilight Sparkle's pure anger beginning to take hold.
"You said you were ready for anything. So be ready for what I'm about to do next."
