My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Raging Twilight
Previous ChapterNext ChapterUniverse 50. Mirados. Nightfall. The Moonspace.
The conflict continued as Twilight Moonlight's Moonspace was active once more. Her magic was elevated as the Moon had risen once more under her control. And this time, it seemed that the Moonspace was stronger than before, improving since last time and working under Moonlight's emotions.
But despite this boost, it did not deter Twilight Sparkle, who showed an incredibly serious side to her counterpart. One that Moonlight herself usually has, but even Sparkle possesses it. It rarely comes out, but now it's fully shown itself as Twilight Sparkle intends to absolutely overwhelm Twilight Moonlight.
"Eve! Appear!" Twilight Sparkle declared, throwing out a Pokeball. The Sun Pokemon emerged from the capsule, descending in front of her best friend.
"Espeon!" The Psychic-Type Pokemon meowed, ready for battle. Her eyes would glow, looking over at Moonlight with a piercing gaze.
Twilight Moonlight would return the look to her, her expression serious as always. She was not going to falter, not even when her counterpart is giving her a look of intensity. But she did feel some intimidation from Twilight Sparkle.
"Let's show the power that can overcome any threat, Eve!" Twilight Sparkle spoke with a commanding tone, her eyes narrowing as she focused on the task at hand.
"Espeon...!" Eve responded, her fur bristling as she concentrated on the energy surrounding them. She knew what was coming. This would be no ordinary psychic burst.
"Okay..." Twilight Moonlight nodded, her face remaining stoic. She wouldn't allow her emotions to get in the way of what had to be done, no matter what her counterpart threw at her. She wouldn't let anyone intimidate her. No one. "Umbreon! Let's make this quick!"
"Um!" Umbreon agreed, his body tensing as he readied himself for battle.
"Use Shadow Ball, Eve!"
"Esp!" Eve's gem on her forehead began to glow a deep purple, the energy gathering within her forming into a swirling orb of darkness.
"Dodge!"
"Umb!" Moonlight commanded, and Umbreon sprang to the side just in time to avoid the orb as it flew past him, leaving a trail of shadowy residue in its wake. But the orb did not dissipate, it simply bounced off the ground and came back toward him. "Again!"
"Umbreon!" Umbreon leaped to the other side, but this time the Shadow Ball curved around and followed him. He was barely able to jump out of its way, the orb grazing against his side and leaving a trail of darkness.
"Psychic!" Twilight Sparkle called out, and Eve's gem flashed once more.
"Destroy it with Dark Pulse!"
"Umbreon!" Umbreon swivelled his head around to face the pursuing orb of darkness, his eyes glowing an eerie red. With a cry of determination, he unleashed a wave of pulsating energy that collided with the orb and shattered it, scattering shards of shadowy energy in all directions.
"Now, use Psychic, Umbreon!"
"Umb!" His eyes flashed a deep blue as he ended up manipulating the scattered shards of shattered energy. His mind twisted and turned them into a storm of black fragments that swirled around the battlefield. They began to gather into a swirling vortex, with a sharp gaze and a flick of his head, he directed the swirling vortex at Eve, hoping to catch her in a trap of darkness.
"Counter with your own Psychic!"
"Esp!" Eve focused on the approaching storm and closed her eyes, focusing on the power of her own Psychic energy. The fragments slowed their approach before halting in midair, caught in a struggle between two powerful psychics.
Espeon managed to grab a hold of the Shadow Vortex, her eyes glowing bright. She would then direct her eyes at Umbreon, the vortex then following the gaze. It was headed for him.
"Umbreon!" The Moonlight Pokemon's eyes went wide, and he tried to dodge the incoming storm of shadows, but he was too late. The swirling mass of dark fragments slammed into him and engulfed him, obscuring him from view.
"Umbre..." He cried out from within the vortex, struggling against the psychic energy that was crushing him from all sides. His body was buffeted by the swirling darkness and he could feel the shards of energy digging into him like sharp daggers.
"Disperse it with Dark Pulse!"
"Umb...!" From within the vortex, he mustered all the power he could, unleashing a wave of dark energy that exploded outward from his body, shattering the fragments and scattering the psychic energy.
"Now, use Dig!"
"Umbreon!" Umbreon would fall, but the moment he reached the ground, he instantly burrowed underground. And thanks to the power of the Moonspace, his movement speed underground would suddenly increase drastically.
"Huh?" Twilight Sparkle was surprised at this. Moonlight's strategy of using Dig while on the Moon was smart. But it was more than that. As soon as Umbrem the ground, the Moonspace allowed him to clone himself.
Umbreon suddenly multiplied, digging underground and surrounding Espeon from every angle, making it difficult to track which was the real Umbreon.
"Esp?! Esp?!" Eve tried keeping up with all of these underground movements, her eyes darting from spot to spot, unable to keep track of all the Umbreons at once. But there were too many of them, and they moved too fast for her to follow. She was disoriented and overwhelmed by the sudden onslaught of movement. She didn't know where the next attack would come from, or how to protect herself.
"Eve! The air currents! Focus on them!" Twilight Sparkle shouted out.
"Esp!" The Sun Pokemon nodded. That was one of her specialities. Being able to read the air currents to predict her opponent's next move. And now, it was time for her to utilize that trait, but to the highest potential since there were multiple Umbreons ready to strike. Her fur stood on end as her senses sharpened, the gem on her forehead glowing a brilliant violet as she focused on the minute fluctuations in the air currents around her.
"Eve...Espeon..." She closed her eyes, and the world seemed to slow down, the vibrations of the ground beneath her paws becoming a symphony of movement that she could decipher. Every twitch of a muscle, every shift of weight, it all told a story that only she could interpret.
"Espeeeon!" With a sudden cry, her eyes snapped open and the world rushed back into focus. She spun around and launched a powerful Shadow Ball at the spot just behind her, hitting the real Umbreon as he lunged forward from the earth, the clone Umbreons disappearing in a puff of dust. He yelped and was knocked back, tumbling in the dirt before coming to a stop at his Trainer's feet.
"Umbre... Umbreon!" Umbreon shook his head and tried to regain his bearings. But his movements were slow, and his eyes were unfocused, a sign that he had taken a hard hit.
"Kh...!" Twilight Moonlight snarled before narrowing her eyes. She used her magic, manipulating her Moonspace once more to create a large crater beneath Eve.
"What the?!" Twilight Sparkle was caught completely off-guard as she watched Eve sink down into a crater in the ground.
"Esp?!" Eve's eyes widened, and her body stiffened as she fell into the deep crater.
"Eeeespon!" She tried to focus on her surroundings, but the darkness and confusion of the pit disoriented her, and she couldn't seem to get a grip on her magic. Her paws flailed and her fur bristled as she tried to stay upright, but she could barely see or hear anything in the darkness of the pit.
"Break out, Eve! Dazzling Gleam!"
"Espeon...!" But she had a way to break through the darkness. Her body glowed with a radiant pink aura that shone through the shadows. With a sudden burst of energy, her eyes snapped open and the aura exploded into a dazzling blast of light, illuminating the entire crater. Eve leaped into the air and out of the pit, the Dazzling Gleam bursting forth and expanding outward like a supernova.
"Umb!" Umbreon squinted his eyes at this glorious light, being momentarily blinded by the sheer amount of it, before he cried out, trying to look away. Moonlight, too, was forced to shield her eyes.
"What a joke! Dark Pulse!"
"Umbreon!" Umbreon howled, a pulse of Darkness flying out of his body. And thanks to the Moonspace's powers, his attack grew bigger and bigger. It soon became a large mass of Darkness, spreading across the field like a giant tsunami.
"ESP!!!" But Eve managed to react just in time. She cried out, using her psychic energy to create a powerful force field that enveloped her and protected her from the incoming wave of darkness. The barrier shimmered violently, showing awesome defence as the wave crashed against it. She strained under the pressure of the onslaught, the gem on her forehead pulsating with effort as she struggled to maintain the shield.
"Dark Pulse, one more time!"
"Umb!" Umbreon would do it once more, adding a second layer to the attack, further overwhelming Eve's defence and creating a powerful shockwave of energy that radiated outward, rippling through the ground and causing the air to vibrate.
"Eeeeesp...!!" She was being pushed to her limits as she fought against the unrelenting onslaught of dark energy. However, the second Dark Pulse shattered the Psychic Barrier she had created, causing a massive explosion of psychic and dark energies. Eve cried out and was thrown backward by the force, but she managed to recover.
"Are you okay, Eve?!"
"Esp!"
"Good! Keep going! Use Quick Attack!"
"Umbreon, use Quick Attack as well!"
"Eon!" Both Eeveelutions and their bodies glow in a white light, and then they sprinted towards one another, leaving trails of light in their wake. The two Pokemon clashed in the middle of the field, sparks flying. Their movements were a blur, their speed almost impossible to follow as they zoomed back and forth, attacking each other with swift strikes and lightning-fast tackles.
It looked like two shooting stars battling one another, crashing against each other as their Quick Attacks continued to clash. A powerful aura swirled around them as the intensity of the battle rose to new heights, their determination and power on full display for all to see. But the two were at a stalemate, unable to best the other as their Quick Attacks were so equal.
"Dazzling Gleam!"
"Espeon!" Espeon slid back from another Quick Attack clash, promptly unleashing a single ray of light, but was absolutely massive when released. Umbreon managed to zip to the side, evading this large ray. After it was avoided, Espeon started throwing out repeated rays of Dazzling Gleams in a frenzy, trying to hit him.
"Dark Pulse!"
"Umbreon!" After avoiding all of those Dazzling Gleams, he returned fire with a frenzy of Dark Pulses, forcing Espeon to start dodging as well. Their battle continued, Espeon and Umbreon dodging each other's moves with great speed, the rays of light and darkness crashing into the field and creating explosions that filled the air with sparks and energy. Their attacks collided and merged in the air, creating a spectacular show of light and shadow. They dodged, feinted, and attacked with all the grace and skill of seasoned fighters, their fur bristling and their bodies gleaming in the moonlight.
Umbreon found an opening, dashing forward with Quick Attack and immediately tackling Espeon. "Umb!"
"E-Esp!" Espeon cried out as he was sent flying. And at the same time, Moonlight summoned a massive pillar behind Espeon to elevate the damage, causing her to crash through it. There were multiple other pillars behind her, essentially forming a mountainscape of these.
"Chase her down!"
"Umbreon!" Umbreon would leap into the air, using the power of the Moonspace to soar rapidly, allowing him to catch up to Espeon in seconds as he flew through the hole left by the pillar. When Espeon saw him approaching, she was surprised by his sudden speed but managed to recover, using Dazzling Gleam the second he came close.
Umbreon's eyes widened as an outburst of light erupted from within, obliterating the first pillar and soon all the other pillars in a glorious display of magical energy, with Espeon at the center.
"Umb?!"
"Eesp!"
But Umbreon still came at her, even while the light of the Dazzling Gleam engulfed him, his body being burned from the inside out. Espeon was surprised that he was able to resist it for this long, but her eyes widened when his paw came from the light, smacking her away from her spot and crashing her down onto the ground.
"Quick Attack!"
"Espeon!" However, the second she hit the ground, she took off once more, becoming like a rocket and tackling Umbreon with incredible force, targeting his lower body.
"Umb?!" Umbreon's eyes widened from that staggering blow. After being struck in the stomach region that hard, Espeon managed to flip herself in the air, smacking Umbreon down with her back legs and tail. This caused Umbreon's head to smack into the floor with a hard slam, causing a shockwave of psychic energy to surge out in a wide radius. She landed on top of his stomach, gazing at him.
"Esp!"
"What's happening?! She's actually overpowering us?!" Twilight Moonlight gasped. Even in her Moonspace, she wasn't outright winning. If anything, Twilight Sparkle and Espeon showed more tenacity than her. "Push her off, Umbreon! Use-"
"Don't even think about it! Dazzling Gleam!"
"Espeon!" Espen unleashed a combustion of light energy while on top of Umbreon. This caused another huge explosion, one that engulfed both Pokemon in an instant, creating an outburst of psychic and dark energy.
"UMB!"
"ESPEE!"
Both Pokemon's cries could be heard as the blast was so large, the clouds above them started swirling, creating a large vortex. After that explosion, Espeon was launched back into the air and crashed back down, landing on her front paws, panting heavily. While she stood up, Umbreon was also standing, panting as well.
However, Umbreon was in a far worse shape than Espeon, taking the most damage by far. He clenched his teeth together as the smoke cleared from his form, showing his injuries. "U-Umb...!"
"T-This can't be happening..." Moonlight muttered. "I can't lose! Not like this! I can't be seen as weak yet again!"
Once more, Twilight Moonlight was beginning to doubt her own strentgh, remembering all the times she failed to beat Ash and his friends in battle. She would always lose the mission to capture Ash, and now she was about to lose again, right now, against Twilight Sparkle. She didn't want to fail the Arcane Institute. She didn't want to fail herself. Especially when she was having this existential crisis.
"Eon..." Umbreon could see the distress in her eyes. He wanted to help his trainer out in the best way he possibly could. Alas, all that damage he took caught up to him as he fell to the ground, fainting. "Umbreon..." he moaned out, having been completely exhausted.
Moonlight gasped. "No..."
She knew one thing for a fact. She was down to her last Pokemon. Hisuian Samurott. After this, there was no one else left.
Meanwhile, Mega Lucario along with many other Mega Evolved Pokemon from the Arcane Institute had emerged. Never before have so many Mega-Evolved Pokemon been present in one place. The number of Pokemon that were currently Mega Evolved in that one location was unprecedented. The very sight was enough to inspire fear and awe.
"Haha! Look at your faces! You're like so scared!" Flawless cackled, pointing her hoof at Applejack, Rarity and Rainbow Dash. The trio's expressions turned sour.
"Ain't gonna work! Just 'cause you've got a lot of Mega Pokemon here, it won't scare us!" Applejack rejected that notion.
"She's totally trying to look brave." Phantasia shrugged Flawless and shook her head.
"Totally. Isn't that right, Alpha?" Flawless's voice reached Alpha and her Mega Gardevoir, who coldly stared down Ash and Pikachu.
"No." But Alpha shut it down instantly. "Clearly not. They have faced many threats before so this sight is not all that terrifying to them. Intimidating yes, but terrifying, no."
"Pfft. You're no fun." Flawless rolled her eyes. She then glared at the heroes, specifically at Applejack and the other members of her group. "Anyway, we're here to crush you, aren't we? You won't be able to withstand what's coming next. "Lucario! Aura Sphere!"
"Delphox, use Flamethrower!" Phantasia spoke next.
"Zoroark, Dark Pulse!" And finally, Violet would speak her command.
Mega Lucario, Zoroark and Delphox's attack would fire all together at the same time. An attack made up of Aura, Fire, and Dark type energy came soaring down towards Sceptile and his friends.
"Block it with Frenzy Plant, Sceptile!" Applejack yelled.
"Tile!" Sceptile would summon forth a series of vines that would slam themselves down on the ground, creating a wall that the attacks crashed into. However, they managed to break through the vines as Lucario would slam the Aura Sphere into Sceptile. "S-Scep!"
"Phero?!" Pheromosa gasped after seeing Sceptile be struck so heavily. She swiftly turned her head, just barely avoiding the incoming Flamethrower. It was that close to hitting her, the heat could be felt against her face.
The same went for Braviary as he narrowly avoiding the Dark Pulse from Mega Zoroark, with the attack almost grazing his wings. He had to flap his wings frantically, causing him to spin in the air to avoid the blast.
"But we're not about to stop there. Watch this." Flawless had something else to offer. And of course, that involved the usage of the Flawless Aura. Now that Lucario had been Mega Evolved, the power of the Flawless Aura was even greater. The emanation of this Aura would expand across the entire area, blanketing it in its energy.
Ash's group found themselves being wrapped up in its light and were soon feeling the effects of this Aura. Their bodies were being filled with a rush of power and energy. It was like they were suddenly in the center of a raging storm, the force of the Flawless Aura pushing against them, making them struggle to stand.
However, it was more than just the force of it keeping them still. Something else came from it. Something that hasn't been felt for a while. Something that was once such a massive problem for Ash.
Delayed Aura Ataxia.
"GH!" Once more, it returned to Ash. The crushing effect of threatening to knock him out, targeting his Aura and overriding his body, making him fall to his knees. He tried to fight it, but it was hard. It was as if the very essence of his being was being challenged, and his body was struggling to maintain its balance. The sensation was overwhelming, threatening to take him over and leave him vulnerable.
But he was not the only one. Pikachu, Pheromosa, and the rest were experiencing the same thing. n fact, all of them were. This didn't just target Ash like it did. Thanks to the Flawless Aura, all of them were now suffering from Delayed Aura Ataxia, the effects of their Auras being used and then being forced back into their bodies without any control over it.
"What's going on?!" Rainbow Dash grunted. "This feeling..!"
"It's way too familiar...!" Applejack groaned. "My Aura...it's going out of control!"
Rarity's eyes widened, the feeling of her Aura being pushed to the limit was a terrible experience. "This is...Delayed Aura Ataxia!"
"That's right." Phantasia giggled, watching their struggles. "We learned about Delayed Aura Ataxia when looking into info about Ash. And one thing that came up was that he struggled so badly with this Ataxia thing. It was like, soooo easy for us to exploit."
"But now all of you have it~!" Violety taunted them.
The Flawless Sisters giggled, looking down at the heroes as they suffered through the Delayed Aura Ataxia. "This should make it all too easy for us."
"The capture will be incredibly easy with this. There is no need for further battling." Alpha said, aiming her Quantum Cannon at Ash, intending to capture him in the orb as well. As long as she gets Ash, that was all that mattered and with Ash currently feeling the Ataxia, it looked to be incredibly easy for her.
Ash looked onward at the cannon, gritting his teeth. The energy from it would be unleashed, an orb travelling his way and ready to trap him in.
"I need your help...Sir Aaron!" But Ash has long since conquered the Delayed Aura Ataxia. And even though it was being brought back to him, he had the means of fighting back against it. From his pocket, the Staff of Sir Aaron would fly out, enlarging to its original size and floating in front of him.
The staff would glow. Ash's Aura, while being pushed to its limits, was also fighting back. Ash's aura would begin to take over his body, glowing and expanding outward.
"What the?! What's this?!" Flawless BlueLight's eyes narrowed.
"It's the staff! We forgot about that!" Phantasia gasped. That one bit of information on Ash had almost crossed their minds. But it was too late for that now. Ash would be able to overcome the effects of the Delayed Aura Ataxia, and it was all thanks to the staff. The Aura blocked the Quantum Orb as Ash would grip the staff, managing to stand back up.
"We're not about to lose here...!" Ash growled, still feeling the pressure of the Ataxia, but his Aura and the staff was helping to ease that burden. Alpha wasn't surprised, but she was somewhat impressed that he would be able to resist. "We're not gonna battle here though...it's getting too wild and the crowd's gonna get seriously hurt...so we're taking this battle elsewhere!"
Ash declared, his eyes flashing a magnificent Azure Blue. He then closed his eyes, letting his Aura fluctuate at a beautiful pace. He was doing one thing to take this conflict elsewhere. A place where not only would the crowd be safe but where his friends would have an advantage.
The 18 Realms.
The Aura of Ash enveloped everyone on both sides minus Twilight Sparkle and Twilight Moonlight. His aura would then begin to glow brighter.
"W-Wait a second! What are you doing?!" Flawless turned to Ash while his friends would start smiling. They knew what was coming and they were just so excited for it. The next thing that happened, everyone involved would suddenly vanish from the battlefield, disappearing as their bodies faded away.
The 18 Realms.
At a nearby location, there was a powerful explosion of Aura. It sent a shockwave that could be felt by everyone within the vicinity. Once it was over, the combatants of the battle appeared. Ash had transported them to a different Realm, one where the Arcane Institute. would be unfamiliar with.
The realm that represents the 18 Pokemon Types. This was the best choice, especially considering Ash's friends and their abilities. This was a realm that would give them a better chance of victory in this fight. And it helped that they were familiar with the environment
The area was a wide-open space surrounded by a dense forest, but the main battleground was an arena-like area with grassy ground, and the sky above was bright and clear. In the distance, there was a mountain range that stretched as far as the eye could see.
The Arcane Institute and the BlueLight Sisters would be taken aback by this sudden change in location. They had no idea that Ash could transport them to a different realm and were caught off guard.
"What the?!" Violet shouted, trying to figure out what just happened. "How did you do that?" She demanded, looking at Ash with confusion.
"Wait a sec..." Phantasia gasped, looking around. She then noticed that Ash and his team looked like they had the upper hand. Mainly because the Delayed Aura Ataxia no longer applied to them within this realm, so they were able to gain the edge once more.
They took deep breaths, feeling their natural strength of their bodies return to them. It was so relieving to them. "Oh, it's almost nostalgic being in here." Rarity sighed. "After that Gardevoir was defeated, I didn't think we'd ever return to this place."
"So, you brought us into a seperate realm to stand a better chance? Either way, we'll find a way to grasp victory in our hands."
"Yeah. But here's where it gets awesome." Ash grinned, having more to offer to the Arcane Institute. There was one massive factor in all of this. This realm was originally created by an Aura Vampire Gardevoir who would feed on Aura just to gain immortality. That was how Delayed Aura Ataxia came to be. But now that she's been defeated, not only did it free the stolen Auras of many Aura Guardians across the ages, it also gave one final benefit.
It gave Ash full control over this realm.
"In this realm, I'm the one who makes the rules." Ash told them, raising his staff in the air and letting his Aura flow. "I'm able to change the properties of this entire Realm, and that's exactly what I'm going to do! It's all mine now!"
The staff of Sir Aaron would glow, Ash's Aura spreading throughout the entire area. The Arcane Institute's students and BlueLight Sisters looked on, wondering what was going on. "What's that kid doing?!" Phantasia asked, feeling the aura in the air.
With the control of the 18 Realms, that also meant Ash had control over every single type that was in here. "We'll show you what we're made of!" He targeted each of his friends' Pokemon, taking their original types and greatly elevating them to new heights.
"Scep...!" Sceptile, who was recently slammed by an Aura Sphere, would start standing up, a beautiful verdant energy flowing through his body.
Pikachu and his friends felt the power coursing through them. They knew that their best friend was doing something amazing. Something that would take the battle to a whole new level. "Pika Pika!"
"Hey! What's going on?!" Violet yelled, feeling the power surging in the air.
"Pheroooo!" Pheromosa cried out along with Braviary and Brock's Steelix all kept feeling better than ever. But it was more than just growing stronger. All that energy rushing out of their bodies would start growing and growing before beginning to form a mass of power that would rise in the air.
All of that power was being to form a single attack that would try and finish this battle once and for all. It would be the best way to defeat them, and Ash knew that it was their best shot. As Ash kept focusing on his Aura, he could feel his friends' Pokemon channeling their power and creating the ultimate attack.
"All together now!" Ash called out as this mystical attack descended upon the Arcane Institute. Their eyes widened when they saw what was happening. A massive attack that would be the most powerful in the entire multiverse. A beam that was comprised of every type in existence, and it would come down on them with an overwhelming force. It was the strongest and most powerful attack ever, one that would have them be at a disadvantage and make them regret ever coming to this world in the first place.
"As if! Lucario, Aura Sphere!" Flawless had panic in her voice, fearing this incoming attack. She and her sisters would use the full potential of their Flawless Aura to prevent the attack from landing, baning it all on this.
"Gardevoir! Hyper Beam!" Alpha ordered Mega Gardevoir.
"Garde...VOIR!" Together, Gardevoir, Lucario and all the remaining Pokemon of the Arcane Institute would throw their best attacks against it. They had no idea what would happen, and it was a dangerous game. The beam of light was so bright it was hard to tell if it was actually working, but the sheer force of it made it clear that something was happening.
The beam kept getting stronger, and it was clear that the Arcane Institute had no idea what to do. The power of the attack was so overwhelming that it was clear it would destroy them. And with ease, the attack of Ash and his friends enveloped theirs, descending upon them. The BlueLight Sisters screeched and wailed, holding onto each other while Alpha simply narrowed her eyes and clenched teeth, bracing herself.
It was a powerful impact once it finally hit, the light spreading far and wide, enveloping the entirety of this massive realm. Ash truly made the rules here, overpowering the Flawless Aura and boosting his friends greatly. A worthy gift after that he had to go through to stop Delayed Aura Ataxia. Now, the fate of the Arcane Institute would be revealed after this light vanishes as the journey continues.
