Burn it all Away

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

The Ultalysium Dynasty. Nightfall.

Prisma had awoken yet again. But it was the greatest awakening yet. Instead of Ash being influenced, Prisma took 100% full control for a few minutes and brought absolute destruction to the entire stadium.

Ash would then pick them both up, ready to leave this stadium at once. Reshiram would vanish immediately, returning to his Poke Ball now that Prisma was resting once more. The massive hole in the stadium was wide open for Ash and Brock to pass through, with a view of the entire horizon.

Magnestra laid there, unconscious and groaning as her wings were ruined beyond repair. No longer could she fly. In fact, Reshiram's magic burned up so much of her magic that the impossible was beginning to happen.

Her wings were vanishing. She was losing the power that the Ultaysium Empire bestowed upon her and was turning her into what she would consider a lesser pony. She could no longer fly. Now, she was a unicorn, indicating that this was what she originally was.

It wasn't just her. Every other pony within the stadium that had been knocked out would start losing either their horns, wings or both. To the shock of Ash and Brock, it seemed that they were not originally born as alicorns much like how someone like Flurry Heart is.

"What the...?" Ash paused to look at this, bewildered and confused. He thought that this was a world full of alicorns, meaning that a majority if not some were naturally born as alicorns. But that didn't look to be the case.

"They're turning back...Don't tell me...Were they all ponies of different tribes that had something done to them?" Brock asked himself. But he would have to wonder about it later. Finding the others was the prime objective now.

The duo continued through the now-ruined stadium, rushing out of it and into the rest of the Dynasty. And thanks to the destruction Prisma and Reshiram brought, there was now a wild hurricane active that was constantly blowing fierce winds and torrential rains that would devastate the surrounding areas. Ash and the group had no time to waste. The area was already starting to fall apart, the very ground collapsing beneath them. The wind was pushing them around and the rain was making the footing slippery and dangerous.

And the rest of the Ultaysium Dynasty felt this. Entire cities and towns felt the fierce hurricane and the ground was crumbling in places. Everywhere that had an alicorn in it, was in danger. They screeched and roared in terror, desperately fleeing in any direction that offered safety, but finding little solace.

They also had to worry about the raging seas caused by the destruction. The waves crashed violently against the shorelines and the ocean surged, swallowing up those unfortunate to not have escaped.

The sea was a tumultuous beast that spared none. Boats and vessels capsized, dragged deep below the surface, while their crews cried out in desperation and panic, their voices swallowed up in the watery depths. A whirlwind of debris and chaos descended on the land. Buildings collapsed, streets became impassible, and homes were ripped apart in a frenetic storm of destruction.

As the devastation continued, the once-proud and feared alicorns found themselves helpless and terrified. There was nowhere to turn and no one to call for aid. This catastrophe had hit with sudden, unexpected fury, and the alicorns could only cling to their fading hopes, struggling to endure in the face of a wrathful nature that showed no mercy. Many of the alicorns that survived were forced to abandon their magical abilities, their alicornhood stripping from their forms, reverting them to whatever tribe they had initially belonged to, be that a earth pony, pegasus, or a unicorn.

"My wings! My glorious wings!" One unicorn shouted, watching as his magnificent wings vanished from his body, leaving him feeling exposed and vulnerable. His pride and confidence shattered in an instant. How could he soar among the heavens now, or feel the freedom that flight had given him?

It was a blow that struck at the very core of his being. Others would suffer from a similar fate. Their majestic, shimmering wings and the mystical, spiralled horns that existed on their heads were gone, stripped away without warning.

The pain of the transformation was intense thanks to the heat of Reshiram's. For many, their connection to their innate powers, their source of pride, and the essence of their identities were torn away. In its place was an emptiness that gnawed at their hearts, a void that left them uncertain and afraid.

"Help me! Please! Someone!"

"Someone help us!" Several pegasi pleaded in unison, their cries echoing in despair. They stumbled and struggled, the weight of their newfound earthbound existence weighing heavy on their limbs, the skies now a forbidden realm. With their wings gone and the freedom to soar lost forever, they felt trapped and confined. As the minutes passed, the realization of their irreversible loss began to settle in. The alicorns who had prided themselves on their unique and revered form now faced the daunting reality that they would have to rebuild their lives anew, without the grace and power they once held dear. But that would never happen, at least not anymore, as the hurricane continued to rip through their cities, forcing the alicorn population to abandon their pride, their homes and belongings in a frantic search for sanctuary and survival.

All this panic and frenzy would soon reach the higher-ups of the Ultaylsium Dynasty, straight to the castle. They were still alicorns, having now lost their wings or horns. And it most definitely reached the group that Twilight spoke to earlier. The Zenith Assembly was their name. The group known as The Zenith Assembly had just come to know about this, the news shocking them to their cores.

"Somehow, the magic from their bodies is being burned up, broken down into nothingness. We don't know the exact reason. But the result is that alicorns are being transformed into their original forms, reducing their strength."

"What?!"

"This is impossible!" Most of them could not hide their shock, the words striking them with the force of a thunderclap, shattering the facade of their invulnerability and superiority. They were used to being in control, wielding their magic with precision and dominance, but this unforeseen event threatened to undermine their entire existence, their purpose and identity.

"It's because of that human they brought in. His Reshiram managed to do all of this damage." Another alicorn was already able to figure out who was responsible. "That attack it unleashed is somehow burning through the magic."

"But how can that even happen?!"

"It seems impossible but...it actually makes sense." One alicorn saw the vision. "Put it together. The magic in our world is absolutely overflowing, constantly on the verge of erupting. That means we've always had an unstable flow of energy and magic, and that meant the chance of our forms regaining their natural states was a possibility. So that must mean..."

"The fire has a greater chance of interacting with the magic from both the outside and inside and burning it to ash. It has a greater opportunity to burn through that magic. And that's exactly why a lot of the alicorns are reverting." Another alicorn said. All of the members were now in a heated discussion, attempting to make sense of the madness that was currently unfolding.

"First this Twilight Sparkle situation and now this? These visitors from another universe are already starting to get on my nerves!"

"We'll try and handle it all. As long as one thing happens. The young princess still wishes to have her, I can't belive I'm saying this...wedding. And it's with that human that came through. Raleigh was his name, right?"

"I don't know about this...Why would she even choose a human to marry?" Another alicorn grumbled, unsure of this decision. But with the Emperor and Empress gone, the princess was among one of the higher powers in here.

Speaking of which, Raleigh was waking up at last. While the events had taken place in the Stadium and around the entirety of the empire, the boy had been in a deep sleep. Raleigh found himself slowly awakening, grumbling and rubbing his eyes.

"U-Ugh...Where am I?" He rubbed his head, noticing that he had a bed sheet over him. In fact, the whole room was a nice and luxurious looking place. Almost as though a King slept here.

"Yay! You're awake!" A voice spoke to him. And as he turned his head, a face appeared before him, causing the young prince to fall off the bed in shock and fear.

"W-Who are you?" He asked nervously. This was his first time encountering a real-life talking horse, or alicorn, to be more specific.

"Uh oh! Are you okay?" She asked. Before she was a simple white-colored alicorn. On her flank, she had three cutie marks that looked to resemble the Sun and its solar flares. Her mane was an orangey red and flowed elegantly. The tips of her hooves were also colored red but were masked by the shoes she wore. Her bright blue eyes glistened and shined in the sunlight. Around her neck was a heart shaped necklace that was a crimson color, the object shining and sparkling. And finally, her crown was golden and encrusted in the front was a large, glowing red gem, the object shining brightly.

In a way, she somewhat looked like Princess Celestia.

She extended her hoof to the boy, smiling sweetly. "Hi, there! My name is Solar, Princess Solar to be exact. What's yours?"

"Uh, hi. I'm Prince Raleigh. And, um...I'm from the Kingdom of Azoth. Is that a problem?"

"Of course not. You're a guest. Or should I say...Fiance." Solar gave the blushing Raleigh a wink, the young man becoming nervous, wondering if that was the case, or if that's what she wanted.

"FIANCE?!" Raleigh was surprised. Did she propose to him or the other way around? Was he going to marry a non-human creature? He didn't know how his parents would feel. But at the very least, he was royalty. Still...

"Mhm! I'm so lucky to have found you! Do you wanna know the best part? We're gonna be getting married tomorrow!"

"TOMORROW?!" Tomorrow seemed too soon for a marriage, especially when he wasn't ready, let alone didn't even remember proposing in the first place!

"Yeah. Tomorrow." Solar repeated herself, moving in close and pressing her hoof to his chest, a wide smile on her face.

"Hang on! I just showed up here! And I'm so confused! Where even am I?!"

"You're in the royal chamber. Don't worry, your friends are in their own chambers, asleep and sound." Solar explained, pointing to a nearby window, where one could see the beautiful city of the kingdom. From afar, one could see several flying ponies. "This is the Ultimate Dream, an entire nation made up of only alicorns. Welcome to the Ultaysium Empire. It is the greatest nation in all the realms. At least that's what I was told." Solar giggled. She would lean in, nuzzling her nose to his, the blush on her face increasing and growing larger.

"And in two days, we'll have a grand wedding in this palace and in front of all these people. Doesn't that sound amazing?" The alicorn proposed. Raleigh would think about that, imagining the thousands and thousands of cheering ponies that would witness a marriage. He wasn't sure if that was something he was prepared to experience yet, or if his family would want to be a part of that.

"Two Days? Wait, what's happening tomorrow then? I thought that was the wedding."

"Well, since the wedding is coming up, I thought it would be nice for you to go out on a shopping date and spend some money on yourselves. I'm the Princess, so I can make any change I want~"

"A...Shopping Date? Like...What do you mean?"

"It's a date where we go shopping together. We can go out to eat, buy some things, have fun. Just the two of us." Solar explained.

"B-But I barely know you..."

"Well, that's the point. By doing a date, we get to know each other. So whaddya say?"

"No, I mean. I'm not even from this universe." Raleigh shook his head.

"Hm? Well, yeah. I guess that would make things a bit difficult. But it wasn't difficult for me to know you were the one. When you and all those other ponies, Pokemon and humans showed up outside of our empire unconscious, I took one look at you and I knew you were the one." Solar explained. "And you were. You're a handsome prince, just the right age. And you're strong and brave. I've been looking for someone like you." Solar sighed, hearts in her eyes as she swooned.

"B-But...I'm not even sure I'm ready for a marriage."

"Sure you are. You'll be fine. You'll be a great king. I promise." She continued, her voice sounding more and more like a child who was excited about something, not sounding like an adult talking to another adult. "This is gonna be the best day of my life! I've been waiting for this for so long!"

"But...I already have someone I want to marry someday. It's Hilda." Raleigh spoke, prompting Solar to cease her prancing. "And besides, I can't just get married to someone I just met and know nothing about. I'm not ready for something like that."

"Who's this Hilda?!" Solar teleported in front of him, a look on her face of someone who was more than jealous, a scowl on her face. "Is she better looking than me?! Is she prettier than me?! Does she have a bigger kingdom than me?! Are her eyes bluer than mine?! Does she know how to use magic better than me?!"

"N-No! Well, she is very pretty..." Raleigh gushed, making a silly face when thinking about Hilda. Someone who was definitely out of his league. Even though he was a prince, Hilda was just too old for him. Alas, such was the case of young boys having older crushes. "Hehehehe....Hilda..." He giggled while speaking her name. His face turned bright red, and his eyes lit up.

A loud slam could be heard as the alicorn princess stomped her hoof on the ground. "Don't you talk about another girl when I'm here!" Her tone of voice had changed, her eyes becoming angry. "No other girls but me!"

"But...we aren't even a thing yet." Raleigh said, sweating profusely. "And I just wanna go home. Please?" He asked, giving a pleading look to her, hoping that the alicorn would have mercy on him.

"No. I'm not letting you out of my sight. I've been waiting too long for someone like you to come along. I can't let you leave." Solar replied, the alicorn princess looking away in frustration, her face contorting into a frown. Raleigh was startled. He thought she was going to kill him or something. He wasn't sure what to do, but he was scared. He wanted to get out of here as soon as possible.

"A-Anyway, I'm not going to force you to marry me if you really don't wanna." Solar would add. "This world bends to my will anyways, so it won't be too hard for you to eventually say yes."

"W-What do you mean...bends to your will?"

"For my future husband, I'll let you in on a secret." She giggled, wining at him. "This planet we live in... everybody that's an alicorn? That's all my doing. This is a world full of alicorns, Raleigh. Everyone believes that one day, something fateful happened that let all of ponykind evolve further." She smiled. "But that's not true. I just...decided to give them all this form. I wanted a perfect world of alicorns, and I got it." Solar explained.

"Are you saying you made this world?!"

"Sorta. The planet was always here from the start, but everything else was my work. I mean, my name Solar wasn't my original name either. I changed it just like I changed everything." She smiled. "So...are you ready to go shopping?"

"Hang on! I still need questions! And a way back home!"

"No time! Let's go, darling~!" Against his will, Solar would hold Raleigh's entire body with her magic and pull him to her side, the two leaving the room and making their way to the kingdom. Raleigh was nervous, but he also knew that he couldn't just run away. He would have to try and make the best out of this situation.

Universe 12. The Arcane Institute.

This outburst Ash had. Or rather, Prisma had, reached the Arcane Institute. It obviously did since they were fully tasked with keeping tabs on Prisma, especially whenever he awakens. And now that he's had his greatest awakening thus far, the Arcane Institute has a new plan to deal with the threat.

"It seems that Prisma actually made a proper return for a few minutes, scanners say. It's the biggest awakening yet, Professor Grogar. The soul was at its highest concentration." A member of the Arcane Institute would say.

"It's coming from that universe. The one that is numbered as Universe 75." Another person said. "It's a world that has its ponies as alicorns. A world ruled by the Ultalysium Dynasty."

"Hm. So that's where they ended up. Somehow, they managed to redirect the location of the Blackhole Gateway...Impressive." Grogar snickered at this. "But it's shown that they can still feel the pressure no matter where they go. I've already ordered for some Betas, Zetas and the BlueLight Sisters to pursue another Prisma counterpart. Send Alpha and her team to this one next."

"Is she ready for another mission so soon, Professor?"

"Of course she is. She's been upgraded already with a few additional souls added within her. Besides, we can't have Prisma escape anymore. We need to capture him and bring him back to the Institute so that his soul can finally be put to rest. For good."

"Understood, Professor. We'll let her know immediately. She'll be sent on her way right away."

"Good. Then I will take care of everything from here. I will be needing another physical form for the time being to prepare something. Get the Soul Crystal at once before Alpha departs."

Universe 75. The Ultalysium Dynasty.

Ash and Brock continued on their way, moving through the streets of the dynasty's capital city, Zenistium Prime. A gigantic mega-city that spanned all over, with spires reaching out into the sky, and every structure appearing alive, pulsating with magic.

The streets were bustling with life. The alicorns were all very animated, talking amongst each other. Some were laughing and joking around, while others were serious. Ash and Brock could feel the magic in the air. It was like a warm breeze, and it felt good on their skin. The sun shone brightly overhead, casting shadows across the ground.

As they walked, they saw a large building in front of them. There were several entrances, but none of them looked welcoming. Instead, there was only one door open, and inside was darkness. They entered the dark room, which had no windows or lights. All they could see was the glow of the magic crystals lining the walls.

"Brock...What happened to them?" Ash said while still carrying Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. "Who did this?"

"..." Brock knew he had to tell the truth. He had to let Ash know about what he did. About how he, or rather Prisma, aggressively destroyed the stadium and greatly damaged Rainbow Dash and Fluttershy. Pikachu knew too, witnessing it all for himself. But he didn't speak, and neither did the others. They just stared at each other in silence. "Ash...there's something we need to talk about."

"Right now?"

"Yes. Right now. This is important. Ash. It was you." Brock decided to lay it on thick. No point in easing him in. Brock had to be blunt.

Ash immediately understood what Brock meant by that, knowing he had been possessed by Prisma and went on a rampage again. His face turned pale, and his eyes widened. He looked down at his two injured friends. They were both unconscious, their bodies limp.

"I...I did that to them?" Ash asked quietly. He felt terrible for hurting his friends like that, but he wasn't sure if it was true or not. He couldn't remember anything after he got possessed.

Brock nodded. And once Ash learned of this, seeing how Pikachu nodded as well to confirm this, everything stopped and stayed silent for him.

Never before has Ash ever hurt his friends, or even in such a horrible way. But now, he knew the truth. The poor condition they were in was all due to him losing it and allowing Prisma to take the reins. Now that he knew, for Ash, this was the worst of the worst for him. Ash got on his knees while letting his friends down, unsure of what to think. Unsure of what to even do. Brock had to tell him. It was for the best in his mind.

As the journey continues.
