My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Against her own Subjects
Previous ChapterNext ChapterDiscord's Realm.
"Mmm..." Currently, during all of this chaos, ironically, Discord was asleep, minding his business in his own way. And that was by sleeping with the sounds of explosions and thunder going off in his realm. For him, this was peaceful in a way, despite it being chaotic in nature.
But as he was sleeping, all that noise was soon broken up by something. It was broken up by silence of all things. The explosions and thunder would shut off, overtaken by the sudden silence, before being replaced by a certain hum.
"Hm?" Discord's sleeping mask would have a hole instantly open, his eye stretching out of it. His eye would scan the area for that strange sound that was obscure to even him. Discord was now awake, hearing the constant humming within his realm
And that's when he saw it. The Fairy Egg.
The Egg that was brimming with Twilight Luminaria's Fairy Matter. At last, it was active after resting for so long. Discord teleported over to the Egg that he was entrusted to keep, observing and hearing its hums. Each time it would hum, the egg let out a pulsating glow of pink energy.
"Well, finally. Here I thought it would just be an accessory I'd keep around. Alright then. What do you have to offer me?" Discord was genuinely curious. Apparently, in that egg, resides a being made entirely out of Fairy Matter that would bring about Prisma's absolute defeat. A Pokemon that Twilight Luminaria herself crafted by pouring all of her Fairy Matter into it.
Now, it looked like the time for it to hatch was nearing. He could sense the life force inside of the egg, and that its birth would happen at any moment.
At that point, a small, white hand would emerge from the egg, signaling the end of the incubation period. With a loud crack, a large, pink-haired creature emerged from the shell. It was a newborn fairy, a beautiful and majestic-looking one at that. It looked at its surroundings with curiosity and wonder. Its eyes were wide and innocent, its skin was smooth and delicate, and its wings were delicate and gossamer-thin. It was a sight to behold, and a rare and precious one at that.
"Eugh...what is this thing?" Discord was not disappointed but also rather disgusted by how sleek it looke. There, in front of him, was a baby alicorn, no more than a couple of years old, though it was clear that the alicorn was much bigger in terms of size. The alicorn was a light purple in color, with a dark blue mane and tail, and had a horn and a pair of wings. It had a cutie mark of a star, and had an expression that was a mix of confusion and awe. The alicorn was clearly looking at the draconequus in a state of wonder, not understanding the situation at all.
"Awww, look at that. How adorable." Discord held the alicorn in his arms. He had to admit, it was a bit of a surprise to have such a young alicorn in his presence, and even more of a surprise to have it come from an egg. "And you're supposed to be the one to stop this Prisma character? Hm. You don't look that impressive, honestly." He said, expecting the alicorn to say its name. Instead, it responded with a simple, single syllable word that was uttered in a high pitched voice.
"Da." The alicorn giggled, squirming in his grasp. "Daaaa!" She babbled, her mouth opening and closing. "Guh..." Her eyes were droopy, and her cheeks were red. She was a little drowsy, and a little sleepy. She was a little tired, and a little cranky. "Eeee!"
"In that case, you're not needed here anymore. I have no reason to look after you." Discord generated extra limbs and rubbed them together, excited to not worry about this egg in any way anymore. His job at guarding it was over. He snapped his lion paw, getting ready to send this Newly-formed Pokemon to the rest of the world, already thinking of entrusting it to Fluttershy.
But as he tried teleporting it away, the Chaos Magic that would've sent the baby Pokemon out of this chaotic area, was cancelled out. Cancelled out by none other than a spark of Fairy Matter. A tiny spark of that powerful substance would appear in the middle of his forehead, canceling his ability to teleport. "Hm?"
"Ba!" The Alicorn was now struggling in his grasp. Her small hooves were pushing against his body, her wings flapping. "Aaaahhh! Daaaaa!" She was trying to get free, and she wasn't having any luck. Suddenly, her entire body was covered in that familiar, golden aura that was the Fairy Matter, and a bright light began to shine from her body, blinding the Draconequus, forcing him to drop the alicorn, and sending him flying back. As the light faded, the alicorn laughed at him.
"Mmmrgh..." Discord, who was currently upside down against a wall, would readjust himself, twisting his own body 180 degrees so that he could stand up. He would dust his hands off, and rub his chin at the alicorn that was on the ground. Discord would then float towards the alicorn. "You're quite a troublemaker, aren't you?" He asked the alicorn. The alicorn simply laughed, and smiled. It was clear that the alicorn was enjoying her new life. She was full of energy and curiosity. Discord would go to pick the alicorn up. "You think you're clever...cancelling out my magic, do you?"
The baby smiled at him, looking completely innocent. She looked at Discord for a while, and he looked at her for a while. The two locked eyes, Discord's being narrowed and serious while the baby's was aloof and wide-open.
"Excellent!" But Discord actually liked this. He wasn't upset whatsoever. "And here I was thinking I'd live my entire life in this realm without anyone of my calibre being around! The closest was Cosmo, but I'd rather not think about her. Oh, how joyous this is! You're already filled with your own kind of chaos, aren't you, little girl?" He'd poke her nose, and the alicorn would laugh. "I believe we're going to get along very well. Especially with that Fairy Matter of yours." He'd stroke her hair. "But first, you have someplace to be and it isn't here."
With that, Discord would try leaving here and this time, he could pull it off without the baby interrupting him. Just like that, the two of them were out of this realm and in the real world.
Equestria. Canterlot. Night.
Back at Canterlot, the residents of Unilight that awoke in Canterlot could not be saved. Celestia didn't have time to soothe their souls since she was too busy trying to soothe her own soul. Thus, there were now Unilight Residents present in Canterlot and were already locked onto Unilight, seeing the massive city in the distance and rushing to the city.
"Wait! Where are you all going!?!" Celestia appeared before them, wondering why they were heading in the direction of the city.
"Where else? We're about to re-enter our home. But more importantly, we'll soon reunite with our Queen." The pony who awakened within Fleur-de-lis spoke, the others agreeing. Their voices were not their own, and their expressions weren't either. Even though they sounded almost the same, there were clear differences. This is what happens when someone's soul is awakened. They become a whole different person entirely with some exceptions.
"Just as I feared...That sensation was a result of the souls' awakening. But I didn't think we had our own incarnations..." Celestia said to herself, narrowing her eyes. It seemed that Prisma and Twilight Luminaria weren't the only dormant souls. "You mustn't go. I know all of you right now aren't my actual subjects, but please understand that-"
"We don't have to listen to you. You're not our Queen. In fact, you're a mere Princess to us." One of the ponies said to her. All of the ponies felt the same way, seeing Celestia as a lesser figure. Celestia was only the ruler of Equestria, which was just a land. A huge land, yes, but compared to the Supernation that was Unilight, she was far from being on Twilight Luminaria's level in terms of status.
"Gardevoir...!" Passion snarled at this. The Embrace Pokemon refused to let anyone talk bad about her trainer in any way. Right now, Passion was itching to teach these people a lesson. But Celestia prevented her.
"No, Passion. They aren't themselves. And I do mean that literally. These aren't the same ponies and Pokemon we've known. Right now, they're other individuals entirely, so even my presence won't work on them." She'd whisper to her. While that was true, the real reason was that she didn't want to fight her own citizens, and that was the case no matter how much of their souls had been altered.
"Voir..."
"Either way, I won't let you pass. I know what this all leads to. It endangers my friends. It puts the lives of Ash, Red and others on the line. For that, I cannot allow any of you to proceed past this point." Celestia refused to let them advance. All for the sake of her friends. She wouldn't allow the possibility of their demise to exist in the first place. She would do anything and everything in her power to prevent that from coming to fruition.
"Get out of the way, Princess. Don't stand in the path of a united nation." Another pony, one that had awoken in the body of Fancy Pants, demanded, a voice that was deep and masculine. Every single Pony was glaring daggers at Celestia, not willing to accept her decision to stop them. Some of them were even generating magic and preparing to attack the Princess should the situation call for it.
"I refuse." Celestia remained adamant in her decision. She didn't care that there were more of her former citizens than there was her. The safety of her friends was paramount, and she would not compromise. Her resolve was unwavering. "Even if I have to take on all of you and use the full brunt of my magic, I will not move."
"Ridiculous." Even her own guards turned on her, being replaced by the original Unilightian Guard. "If you won't move and continue to prevent us from meeting with our Queen, we'll force you to move, Celestia." Going against her, the entirety of Canterlot itself was prepared to force their way through Celestia.
They each held out their own Poke Balls. Thousands upon thousands of ponies having their own Pokemon. They would release their Pokemon, everypony and every Pokemon staring at their opponent. The un Princess gazed upon the massive row of Pokemon, an entire horde of them. An army that was formed to tear down the walls of her will and put her away.
"All of you?!" Celestia exclaimed. "Not even a single one of you have any second thoughts!?"
"Not a chance." The soul inside of Fleur's said. "We'll prove that our will is stronger than yours, and no force in the world will keep us from returning to Unilight and reuniting with our dear Queen."
"But that can't be! I know you all and you're all strong-willed! Surely one of you is able to resist and take control! Even if for a moment!" Celestia uttered with worry in her voice. Soon, her eyes focused on the faces of Daylight Blazer and his brother Sunrise Sprint, but they weren't showing any signs of resisting either.
Everyone here was a resident of Unilight, loyal to the Queen. She even saw Twilight Velvet and Night Light in the mix. They were the former King and Queen of Unilight, so they were naturally present among the crowd.
There was no one for Celestia. No one in the entirety of Canterlot on her side. Thus, it was just her, Passion and the rest of her Pokemon.
"...Very well. You've made your intentions and desires clear to me. But I should've expected this...you aren't the ponies I know. Neither of you are my friends. Only lost beings overtaking their bodies. I would kindly ask you to leave them, but you clearly won't." Celestia's eyes lit up as she spread her wings. The ponies and Pokemon all felt it. That grandiose pressure of magic that was suddenly rushing across the atmosphere. "So I'll force you out of my subjects. And I promise you, not a single one of you will leave to see her."
Naturally, they were very much intimidated. It was impossible not to be. Celestia's magical power was overwhelming, to the point where many of the Pokemon could not even bear to look at her. However, their loyalty to Twilight Luminaria allowed them to try and force their way through, thus deciding to take Celestia and her Gardevoir on.
"Push her out of the way, Umbreon! Dark Pulse!" Moondancer yelled.
"Umb!" A jet-black beam of dark aura was shot from the Moonlight Pokemon's mouth. There was no time to react and no time to prepare. Yet somehow, the blast was unable to touch the princess. Instead, it was stopped in midair, inches from her face, before it was completely dispersed.
"What?!" Moondancer was shocked that her attack had no effect. She was also confused on the manner that the attack had been stopped, considering that neither the Princess nor her Gardevoir did anything to stop it. "How did-!?"
Then, she saw it. She was able to see the culprit of the interruption. A white, semi-transparent veil was in front of the princess. The veil had a faint glow to it, and it surrounded her like a dome, preventing any attacks from hitting her. Not only that, but it was also keeping the princess safe from any outside influence. She was protected, and no amount of strength could break the shield.
"Passion! Use Dazzling Gleam!"
"Gar! Garde!" A rainbow-colored orb of light was launched into the air, shining brightly and blinding everyone who looked at it, including the ponies and their Pokemon.
"Nh...! Fleur-de-lis grunted, slightly opening one eye. "Milotic! Use Water Pulse to bring that thing down, quickly!"
"Milo!" The Tender Pokemon shot a multi-coloured sphere of water from her horn and fired at the glowing orb. The two collided and caused an explosion of light, dispersing the orb's glow. As soon as the brightness faded, the ponies could finally see again, but something was wrong. Celestia and her Gardevoir were nowhere to be seen. Where did they go?
"Where is the Princess? Has she run away?" One of the ponies asked.
Suddenly, a bright flash of light appeared behind the army of ponies. They turned around and saw Celestia standing there, a confident smile on her face. Before they had a chance to react, the princess unleashed a powerful burst of energy, sending a wave of force that knocked back everypony and their Pokemon. Many of them were sent flying, while others were knocked to the ground, unconscious. Those that still stood tried to retaliate, but their efforts were futile. Celestia's magical abilities were too much for them. With a single flick of her hoof, the remaining ponies and their partners were swept aside in a shower of sparks.
And yet, they would still try to push through. "Camerupt, use Rock Tomb to bind her movements!" Another pony, the one that used to be Fancy Pants, shouted. Camerupt, the Eruption Pokémon, roared in response. Its head glowed red as it stomped its feet, causing the earth to shake. Rocks and boulders were thrown in the air, surrounding Celestia and trapping her in a massive stone cage.
But the alicorn was unfazed. She merely smiled, and with a flash of her horn, the rocks shattered into a thousand pieces, freeing her. "Use Mystical Fire, Passion!"
"Voir!" Passion would soar through the air, unleashing a stream of magical flames that consumed the Camerupt, sending it flying along with others due to the explosion of the flames.
"Psychic!" Many ponies would say as a plethora of Psychic-Type Pokemon, some of the same species, or even Pokemon that could learn it, came together to try and restrain Celestia and Passion. With all of them using Psychic, it would result in a massive telekinetic hold.
The Princess would remain in place, feeling the effects of the Psychic Type Move. In a sense, this was the perfect strategy. One Psychic is already enough to hold someone in place, but this many? It would surely be enough to immobilize and defeat the Sun Princess, the Alicorn of Magic.
"Mmrgh...!" Celestia did in fact feel it. She narrowed her eyes along with Passion, the duo feeling the titanic hold and could not escape it. The residents were sure that they would win, and that the Princess would fall. This was their chance to reunite with their Queen. For the sake of her, and Unilight, they would not fail. So long as the city was within their view, the image would forever be burned into their memories, and the need to reach the capitol would burn brighter and brighter. They would do whatever it took to get to Unilight.
"Insignificant Princess. You'll be wise to stay out of our way!" One pony uttered, disrespecting the Ruler of Equestria. Neither of them cared what they said since they were only loyal to Twilight Luminaria.
"This is a strong Psychic..." Celestia closed her eyes, suddenly smiling. "But alas, it's lacking. Compared to this! Passion! Use Psychic!"
"Gar!" Even while being held, Passion could still fight back. And now, it was time for her to show all of them what a true Psychic looked and felt like. Her eyes glowed a fierce blue, a similar colour spreading across her body as the Embrace Pokemon spread her arms, lifting a large portion of the city off the ground. Buildings, people, objects, pokemon.
"W-WAH!" They all screamed.
Everything was lifted in her grasp. Every soul was left aghast at the pure power of the Psychic Type attack, the raw might of the move was greater than the combined effort of every Psychic Pokemon in the area. None of them could believe that one Pokemon could possess that much psychic energy.
All of those in her range of sight, both pony and Pokemon, were trapped in her grasp and could not move an inch. Some tried to use their own moves to break free, but such attempts were in vain. The grip of the attack was too strong for them to overcome, and they could do nothing to resist it. Their struggles were futile and their fate was sealed, at the mercy of the Princess of the Sun and her Gardevoir.
"Release." A single word, and everything was released. Everyone would fall to the ground, crashing in a heap. The buildings and structures, however, were gently placed down on the surface. Celestia would not risk innocent lives, so she had Passion make sure that no harm would come to anyone in that regard, save for the ones that opposed her. She was careful to not hurt anyone. Those who fought her, however, would not receive that luxury, and were slammed into the ground. But still, more remained standing, the rest having been defeated by the overwhelming might of the two.
All of the souls, the ponies of the Lost Universe, had no idea how to respond to that. They'd just witnessed a demonstration of unimaginable power, and none of them knew what to think. Just moments ago, they were all convinced that their combined Psychic was going to be the end of the Alicorn and her partner. Now, the opposite happened. How was that possible?
"Blaze Kick!" Suddenly, a voice cried out.
"Blazi!" From above, a Blaziken came diving in, attempting to strike Passion while she wasn't looking, only for the Embrace Pokemon to zip back, narrowly avoiding the attack.
This was done by Daylight Blazer and his Blaziken. And right next to him was his little brother Sunrise Sprint, who had his Gurdurr out. The two Fighting-Types stared down the princess, determined to succeed where the others failed.
"Go, Blaziken! Use Close Combat!" Daylight Blazer yelled.
"Blaziken!" His Pokémon, a Blaziken, nodded and leaped into the air. With incredible speed, the Blaze Pokémon dashed towards Celestia and began to deliver a flurry of powerful punches and kicks, the sheer ferocity of the strikes generating a massive gust of wind and shaking the earth beneath.
"Voir!" Passion would amazingly sway her body, evading the powerful strikes that could've ended her. She was nimble, quick and graceful, not taking any of the hits and instead countering the final kick with her leg, kicking the Blaziken away and knocking him down. "Gard!"
"Thunderbolt!"
"Garde...!" In her hand, she prepared 100,000 Volts, only for Gurdurr to interrupt and intercept her.
"Gurdurr! Use Dynamic Punch!" Sunrise would command, and his partner would leap up, fist covered in energy as he threw a punch, colliding. Passion would block the punch while also blocking a kick from Blaziken, having both of their attacks in each of her arms, holding them back. She would then push them away and jump up in the air, charging a sphere of electricity. As she did, the sky lit up, and the sun would glow brighter. It was so hot that it was getting hard to breathe, and the sunlight was becoming unbearable. The heat was intense, and the light was blinding.
She would unleash her Thunderbolt in the form of a lightning bolt. Blaziken and Gurdurr were sent flying, and the other ponies and Pokémon nearby were forced to take cover. The shockwave from the blast was immense, and the sound was deafening.
Passion went for another one, only for the Golurk to intercept. Many Golurk, to be exact. Since they were all the Golurk of the Canterloy Royal Guard, an absolutely huge number of them were flying in Celestia's direction. Passion gasped, looking at the army of Golurk coming her way as she halted the Thunderbolt.
"I'm going to be here for a while...But that's only because I don't want to badly hurt them..." Celestia was actually holding herself back a ton, wanting to ensure her subjects, even if they weren't in control right now, wouldn't suffer anything major. So, she had to tough it out and fend them all off until she reaches that sweet spot.
At the same time, Twilight Velvet and Night Light were managing to sneak away. They were the only ones who didn't get involved, despite also having awakened. They didn't seem to want to fight Celestia, not even in this moment.
In fact, they actually had something different in mind. "This is getting out of control already...How could this happen?" Twilight Velvet asked. "Our own daughter went down such a path..."
"She'll be hard to recognize when we reach and see her." Night Light responded, his tone serious and solemn. "All that action has changed her, I'm afraid. And now that's she's awakened, I doubt she will want to stop this momentum."
"If only we were there for her when this Prisma thing first happened..." Twilight's mother sighed. "Maybe things would've turned out differently. Or maybe the disaster would've been far worse. We may have lost everything in that case."
Instead of being on Twilight Luminaria's side, her parents felt the opposite. They saw that their daughter was starting to go down a dark path just to stop Prisma, and that's not what they wanted, or intended for her. They didn't want their daughter to become a monster.
The duo got close to Unilight, going undetected thanks to their magic. A bit more and they will soon reach this massive city. But as they were heading there, they spotted and ran into someone. Someone rather familiar, but not who they were expecting.
Right near them, also heading to the city, was Twilight Moonlight.
As the journey continues.
