My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Brother and Sister
Previous ChapterNext ChapterAlpha's Inner Self.
Sci-Twi had entered Alpha's inner self, witnessing the sight before her.
When inside, she saw the same thing Sombra did a while back. But things were different now. Instead of the many souls in here floating around in pain, it had changed up. Since Sombra almost freed every single soul, especially the one that matters the most, Kimia, the inner makings of Apha had been upgraded, changed, transformed, reshaped. It was no longer the dark void that it once was. Instead, the essence of her was now a massive web of souls all linked together. Every soul was interconnected to another in a massive network, all of these webs connecting to the core at the top of the ceiling, which was a shining orb, a ball of energy.
But that wasn't the only thing that was happening. The light was also acting in a manner that would connect to each of the souls, the tendrils of the orb shooting down and attaching to a few of the souls. These would cause the souls to start shifting in appearance, taking on the form of the original person. They were regaining their forms, albeit, in a smaller size, and they were in agony, in pain. Their bodies would distort and shift, changing in appearance, their sizes growing and shrinking.
"Kimia!" Sci-Twi stared right at the center where Kimia's soul was. The soul that was the link to every other soul in this massive web. If she were to save Kimia, then everyone else would follow. "Hang on, I'm coming!" She flew forward, making her way through the maze of souls. Kimia's soul was the fartherst in this mass culmination of souls in the web.
Reacting to Sci-Twi's movements, the orb would shine a lot brighter. The tendrils would attach to the souls and start causing them to shift in appearance, turning from a simple floating spirit to an actual living creature. Soon, the souls began to regain their shape, and would turn into a wide range of people, humans, Pokémon, ponies, and so much more. The amount of individuals in the web was staggering.
All of the souls were crying in pain, their bodies contorting and twisting in shapes and sizes. The light would zap the souls and cause great pain and suffering. Not only that, but a few of the tendrils would shoot out at her, attempting to restrain her, to prevent her from freeing Kimia. Sci-Twi was forced to fight against her restraints, trying to pull herself free.
"Ngh! Let go of me! Gah!" She struggled, but the tendrils were relentless. No matter how hard she tried to escape, their grip would tighten and constrict. Eventually, the tendrils would wrap around her mouth, shutting her cries. Even her screams were muffled as the tendrils covered her face. More and more tendrils would come and bind her until her entire body was wrapped in a thick layer of energy, her struggles reduced to minimal movement.
Her eyes were the only thing left uncovered, her gaze locked on the center of the room. This was her last chance to free Kimia and the other trapped souls. Without the use of her limbs or her voice, the odds of success seemed insurmountable. Despite the near-impossible odds, her determination and desire to save the ones in front of her fueled her on.
As her vision blurred from the strain, the image of a woman in the distance emerged. A blurry outline of a figure stood tall in her sight. With a surge of effort, she focused her gaze on the approaching silhouette. As the figure drew nearer, the features of Kimia's face materialized in front of her.
It appeared to be Kimia being strung up by glowing chains around her arms and legs. Those same bindings were attached to the orb in the center of the room, the source of the tendrils. The chains were pulsating with the same energy that shrouded the room.
"Help...me..." Kimia managed to croak out. Her voice was weak and strained, her breaths ragged and labored. She wanted the the help. TO be free once more.
"Kimia..."
"Sombra...He helped my soul previously...He almost freed me but failed. But the damage he left behind in here was enough to let the others gain some semblance of their former selves. But we're still trapped...Please..."
"I-I'll try! Just have to...get free!" Sci-Twi groaned, trying her hardest to get free from the binds. But they were too strong and she couldn't move a single limb, or even an inch. She was stuck. "...I can't."
"Then I'll help you..." Kimia's response was firm. Though the chains restrained her, thanks to what Sombra had done, she was able to slightly interact with her surrounds. By closing her eyes and straining, she would manage to break apart one of the binds around Sci-Twi's wrists. That small victory allowed her to concentrate on the rest of the bonds. One by one, she was able to loosen their hold on her. It was slow and meticulous progress, but it was working. After a while, Sci-Twi was completely released from the confines of her prison, her body slumping to the ground. She was panting, her breathing shallow. She was exhausted from her ordeal, her energy drained.
But it wouldn't be that easy to free Kimia. Immediately, the essence of Alpha would attempt to stop Sci-Twi, summoning an array of tendrils that flew towards her.
"Fly Twilight Sparkle! Your body is completely free and weightless in here!" Kimia yelled. In the next second, the tendrils would fly in her direction, the intent of impaling her clear. However, before they could even touch her, her wings would spread, and she would ascend upwards. Her flight was instinctual, her body moving with a natural grace. As she soared, her mind was racing. The realization that she was now in an entirely new environment, capable of flight, was overwhelming. But that wasn't important. Getting to Kimia was.
"Wings..." Sci-Twi marvelled at them. This was here unleashing more of the magic she always had in her. "Thank you, Princess Celestia!"
Twilight Sparkle's ascension was a sight to behold. Her wings, a delicate mix of feathers and magic, carried her higher and higher. With each beat, the tendrils that threatened to ensnare her fell further and further away. But the challenge was far from over. The orb in the middle pulsed with renewed energy, and from it emerged an ethereal figure - a spectral replica of Alpha, her countenance grim and determined.
"Your intrusion ends here, Twilight Sparkle," the phantasmal Alpha declared, her voice echoing with a chilling finality. "You will not disrupt the order of the Institute or the grand plan of the Professor. And especially not Queen Twilight Luminaria! I wasn't sure if my body was fully reinforced due to my reactions to Raleigh's name...But it seems that the inner workings of me are still flawed. Curse that Sombra."
"Let me go...please..." Kimia begged, her tone pleading.
"You managed to appear in here too?!" Sci-Twi gasped.
"Everything about me has been improved. But this part of me is the exception. Even in here, I won't let you win!" Alpha would open her mouth and shoot out a stream of purple flames. These would fly in her direction, aiming for her wings to burn and disable them. However, Twi would evade these flames, the fire would miss her and hit the walls. This would continue for a bit, both of the women exchanging words and blows. She would shoot beams and blasts at the young Pokemon Trainer, who would evade or block the attacks, getting closer and closer to her target.
But she needed help. A way to retaliate. And in the corner of her eye, she could see the perfect opportunity. Using the momentum of her flight, she would dive downwards, narrowly missing the incoming tendrils. Then, with a graceful arc, she would swoop upwards again, her destination - the chains that bound Kimia.
"Magic beam...or ray...or blast...whichever one works...!" Sci-Twi closed her eyes, wanting something to fight back. Her magical capabilities were showing themselves more and more since she was believing herself, her friends and the potential that everyone had. Just like the true nature of magic was. With the power of her friends and her faith in herself, a bright purple laser would emit from her hands, flying past Kimia and just barely missing the chains. But Sci-Twi saw that she could unleash magic attacks, she knew she could do it.
Alpha would advance towards Sci-Twi, with a hiss, she attempted to grab her. Sci-Twi would float back, narrowly avoiding the grabbing claws. Alpha would follow her, floating in midair. Sci-Twi would try to keep her distance, using her newfound ability to conjure a magical force field around herself, protecting her from any direct attack. Alpha continued to pursue her, but the shield held firm.
Aggravated, Alpha would shoot out shadow tendrils at her, the shadows were sharp, piercing and stabbing into the shield, chipping away at her defence. The tendrils were relentless, and her protective barrier was beginning to crack. Sci-Twi, realizing the futility of her defense, decided to take the offensive. With a deep breath, she summoned her strength, pushing the remnants of her fading shield outward in a powerful burst. Alpha, caught off guard, was thrown back by the explosive release of magic.
"Gh!" She groaned as she almost crashed into one of the many souls in the vast web. Luckily, she was able to regain her balance before that happened.
Sci-Twi then looked at the web of souls, thinking of a plan. If she can break the web apart then all the souls connected to it would be freed in chunks, slowly breaking it apart. But Alpha would use the other souls to her advantage first. She would hold her arms out, manipulating the souls and turning them to look at her. And from them, manifestations of all the people, ponies and Pokemon that made up Alpha's body would appear.
"Oh goodness..." Sci-Twi shuddered as she was outnumbered, even in here.
And Ash could say the same thing. His battle with Galaxy Master on the outside continued to intensify. All the Pokemon here were still going at it, clashing and battling to their fullest extent. The mountainous landscape of the arena was torn apart, leaving only craters and dust in its place.
Reshiram and Zekrom would bash away Hydreigon and Dragonite, both of whom would recover quickly and strike back, assaulting the two dragons with a barrage of their respective attacks. They would counterattack, and their combined might would overpower their opposition, forcing the dragon-type Pokémon to retreat. Meanwhile, Goodra and Incineroar were locked in a fierce clash, their moves causing the earth to shake and the air to sizzle. Both sides were giving it their all, but the outcome was still uncertain.
But Grogar wasn't left out. With his massive form present here, he would use his vast array of spells to aid his side. Ash looked onwards at Grogar before looking back at Galaxy Master. Nate would swap souls with Ash, taking control for a moment. By doing so, he used the inner soul of Zekrom inside of him and sent a massive electric bolt of electricity to Galaxy Master. The goal was to try and get inside his head and let Red do all the work, but it wasn't that easy.
Galaxy Master could easily fight back, blocking the lightning with a Galaxy Shield, a cosmic barrier that would protect him.
"Bullet Punch!"
"Luca!" Moving forward to strike at Galaxy Master was Lucario, striking at the barrier. He had to break through to allow his trainer to go in. Eventually, the shield did break, but defending Galaxy Master would be his Gengar, phasing through the ground and rising to strike at Lucario. But he would dodge and retaliate. He was able to grab him and toss him aside, where the ghost would phase and reappear from the sky, slamming down on him and pinning him to the floor.
"It's no good! We can't close the distance like this!" Calem said within Ash's head. Despite the power they possessed, they were still unable to get to Galaxy Master, the man was still an entire league of his own.
"And you certainly won't!" Grogar would bring his massive hoof down, attempting to crush Ash, but he would leap backwards, the impact of his attack causing him to slide back a bit. Grogar's horns would glow as he unleashed a spell that would change the ground itself, a purple aura would surround the dirt and rock, changing its shape into a giant claw. This would rise and attempt to tear him apart, only for Reshiram to swoop in and grab Ash, pulling him out of harm's way. But the claw would follow him, and the dragon would fly faster to escape it.
"Blue Flare!" Ash pointed down at the claw. Reshiram held his breath in before spraying a blazing blue flame down at the claw, melting it to slag.
"I've got a way to close the gap!" Lucas would speak. "Ash! You and I both have Dialga and Palkia's souls in us. Either stopping time or messing with space might do the trick!"
"But can I stop time for that long?!" Ash questioned, wondering how long it would last.
"Only one way to find out. I'll go first!" Lucas would swap souls with Ash, taking the helm for the time being. "You can drop me, Reshiram!" With that, Reshiram would drop Ash's body, letting him free-fall in the air.
With his eyes glowing, Lucas would use the soul of Palkia, manipulating space itself. The area would begin to warp and twist, and the ground would shift, becoming a swirling vortex of energy. It was an impressive display of his power. All the opposing Pokemon felt this powerful pull as Lucas was essentially making his own black hole that would suck him and others in. Once the pull was strong enough, all the Pokemon and even Grogar himself were pulled in.
"You...little!" Grogar yelled with rage. "Galaxy Master!"
Hearing his call, Galaxy Master had his own response to this vortex. He'd simply counter with a vortex of his own. With a wave of his hand, the galaxy began to swirl, and the stars themselves aligned to obey his command. He would unleash a cosmic vortex, a tornado of starlight and energy. This storm of light and darkness would engulf the battlefield, drawing everything towards its center.
"Ngh...!" Lucas groaned, trying to make his vortex succeed. The two vortexes looked to be equally matched, and neither of the boys would give in. "It's not gonna be enough...Ash, it's your turn!"
"Okay! Here goes!" Ash would take control as there was one thing he needed to do. As his body stayed in midair thanks to Lucas's space manipulation, with an azure glow, he tapped into Dialga's soul, feeling a surge of ancient, primordial power. "I can do this. I've been in the distortion world, and I know that the flow of time can be different in that place..." Taking a deep breath, he would concentrate, the aura around his body would intensify.
"So all I gotta do is this! Time, cease!" With a snap of his fingers, the fabric of reality would warp, and the very notion of time would come to a halt. Everything stood frozen in place, the sound of the air was silenced. The raging winds and the whirling debris were suspended in mid-air. There was a strange, almost eerie sense of tranquility, a moment of perfect stillness. Everyone was frozen, including Galaxy Master and his Pokemon, who was now vulnerable to attack.
But Ash sensed that he didn't have much control over this. The time stop would only last for a little while so he had to make it count.
"Now's my chance!" Ash took the opportunity to land onto the ground, landing in a kneeling position. "Lucas, if you can hear me, let me move through your vortex." Ash asked, hoping to get closer to his opponent. Soon, the vortex would fade, and time would begin to resume. In an instant, the world sprang back to life, the winds resumed their howling, and the chaos of the battle returned. But what was once a chaotic, swirling maelstrom became a controlled whirlwind of energy.
"!" And as Galaxy Master realized what was happening, but right as he saw Ash approaching, it was too late. Ash would place his hand on Galaxy Master's chest, instantly giving control to Red.
"It's all you! Red!" Ash exclaimed from the depths of his own mind.
"...!"Red took control. And as for the soul that was within him. It was the soul of Mewtwo that would do the rest of the work. His body would emit a psychic aura and his eyes would glow. He'd then dive straight into the mind of Galaxy Master, hoping to reach him and break the control that was placed on him.
However, as soon as the Psychic Aura made contact, the worst possible reaction happened. A golden light would burst outward, repelling the Psychic Aura and even the body of Ash. Red gasped as he was knocked back by this light, the energy being so tremendous that all the other Pokemon nearby would be struck as well.
Ash groaned and rolled on the ground, getting to his knees and holding his head in pain. The backlash of that was intense. He could feel the pain in his head. Even the souls of his friends felt the same pain, though not to the same degree as him. He was left dazed and confused, unable to process what had just happened. He wondered why he felt such a huge shockwave, and what had caused it.
"W-What...? But..." Ash couldn't understand why that happened.
"Bahahaha!" Grogar laughed at Ash's failure, loving what he had witnessed. "It seems that you know everything about your own character but what he's made out of! I don't blame you. He's not really meant to exist. He was brought to life with the Sea Temple's crystals after all. That obviously means one thing..."
"?!" Ash gasped as Galaxy Master started taking off his helmet. At last, Ash would get to see the face of the man based around his father, who he hasn't seen his face in so long. However, he didn't see the face of his father at all. Instead, all he saw, was a body of light.
The face of Galaxy Master was just light. It was like looking at the sun, his whole face and the entirety of his skin were completely golden and blinding. No distinct features at all. This was a being that shouldn't even have a face at all, and yet, his helmet gave him a sense of identity. He was a blank slate in every regard, a pure entity of the cosmos. He was a true Galaxy.
"He's a being of light. Every bit of his body is just light! He never had a true physical body to begin with!" Grogar taunted. "He's a figment of your imagination, a chunk of the Sea Temple's power!"
"No way..." That shook Ash to his core. He never had a physical body at all. But that also meant that he never got to see his father's face again. Which was heartbreaking to him. And as he appeared perplexed, Grogar used this as a chance to restrain him. Corrupted chains manifested from below, wrapping around his limbs and torso. They tightened and constricted, preventing any movement. The metal of the chains was cold and heavy, weighing him down. Then, more chains would wrap around his arms, binding them tightly. Grogar looked at him and sneered, his expression filled with malice.
"Foolish boy!" Grogar boasted as all of the Pokemon on Ash's side would try and help him by reaching him. However, Galaxy Master's Pokemon would get in their way.
"Pika! Pikachu!" Pikachu yelled, trying to reach his best friend. He used Quick Attack, zipping past many opposing Pokemon and the battlefield in a blink of an eye.
"Pika!" But Galaxy Master's Pikachu would get in the way of that, preventing him from going any further. The two would stare at each other, knowing that they would have to fight. So that's exactly what they did. The two would exchange blows, using their Iron Tails, Thunderbolts and Electrowebs.
"At last...this nightmare will come to an end before it can continue or even begin!" Grogar said with glee as he manifested a large magic tendril, a red and orange tentacle that came from below. Ash continued to struggle against the chains as the tendril would shake violently while Galaxy Master simply watched. There truly was no expression because he had no face whatsoever. "Farewell! Prisma!"
The tendril approached at high speeds, going straight for the chest. Ash braced for impact, but then, a white blur would appear in front of him. It was a Pokémon that was able to intercept the hit in his stead. The tendrils would smash into something, failing to reach Ash and was instead blocked.
By none other than Sirfetch'd.
"Sir...Fetch'd!" He had used his leek, appearing on the back of Alpha Rapidash who was fast enough to reach Ash in the nick of time. Sirfetch'd promised himself that he would defend Ash no matter what. As a true knight, he kept up that promise and was willing to lay his life on the line for him. He managed to block the strike from the tendrils, gritting his teeth and while Rapidash dug her hooves into the ground.
"Sirfetch'd! Rapidash!" Ash bellowed.
"Sir...!" He held his shield up high, blocking the attack from the monstrous appendage. His strength was incredible, and the force of the impact caused a shockwave that sent a ripple through the air. But he didn't flinch, not even a bit.
"How dare you?!" Grogar ranted.
"Sirfetch'd!" With a powerful roar, Sirfetch'd would slash at the appendage, cutting it in half and ultimately destroying it. Both halves would retract and retreat, disappearing from sight. "Sir!" Sirfetch'd looked like a triumphant and grand hero on the back of Rapidash, raising his leek sword high into the air. The sun shone upon him, making him look even greater. He then turned to his Trainer, and Ash could see the determination and courage burning in his eyes.
"Aw man! You look so cool!" Ash said with glee. Not just him but the others within him felt the same. Grogar was beyond annoyed at this point. That should've been the deciding blow that brought an end to their enemy. Yet, they were still standing strong.
"Again and again! All these delays!" Grogar ranted with his voice reaching its peak. "I'm tired of all these interruptions already! Why won't you just fall?!"
"These interruptions aren't over just yet." Someone replied to Grogar. The ram gasped as he raised his head, looking at the source of the voice. Approaching here and ready to enter the conflict was a massive ship with a strong gear motif about it. On the bow of the ship was none other than Princess Celestia, who finally returned at a great time.
"Celestia!" Ash exclaimed, seeing the Alicorn in the distance. She stood proudly, her mane billowing in the wind. Her eyes narrowed and determined.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, Ash." Celestia responded, her tone calm and collected. She looked at him with a kind and gentle gaze. "I've arrived just in time. With help, of course."
And that help was none other than Raleigh. He piloted this large ship that fit his kingdom's gear aesthetic, here for two reasons. To help Ash and to bring back his sister.
Inside the ship with him was his Magearna along with Pokemon from the Nebel Plateau itself. They actualled wanted to help out after what had happened to them before. Not just for the sake of helping Ash but also for the sake of saving Volcanion.
"Hang on, Ash! Kimia! Volcanion! We'll save you!" Raleigh's voice boomed from the large ship. Everyone heard himas he hatch would open up. From it, all the Pokemon would drop them, having something equipped to their bodies. Each of them had these machines on themselves that allowed them to hover in the sky, floating downward slowly. They would all land on the ground and be ready to fight, surrounding the battlefield and joining the fight to help their friends, especially the ones that were being controlled.
Raleigh himself also had a machine on his back that allowed him to descend from the ship, looking at the situation from afar. "Kimia!" Raleigh shouted at the top of his lungs, going straight for his older sister.
As for Celestia herself, with her head high, her horn would glow as she immediately dispelled the night and the darkness that clouded the sky. She brought on the Sun as a golden glow would burst forth from her horn, casting away the shadows and bringing the warmth of day.
"Celestia...!" Grogar growled at the Sun Princess. "Curse you and your meddling! Just as I'm in the process of putting an end to my eternal adversary, you had to intervene!"
"The moment you messed with my friends was the moment you lost." Celestia said, jumping off the ship and spreading her wings. "Through thick and thin, we'll always have Ash and Twilight's back. And no amount of vengeance will stop us."
As for Raleigh, as he went for Kimia, he held his hand out, trying to make contact with her. Flying towards him was Kimia's Gardevoir, having Flamethrower in her hand. She would not hesitate to scorch him at all. But as Raleigh gasped, saving him was Celestia's Gardevoir. Passion got in front of the young prince, intercepting the flames with Thunderbolt, creating a small explosion that engulfed the area around her and her opponent.
"Voir!" And coming down hard, Passion would grab onto her fellow Gardevoir, carrying her away from the Prince. And thanks to that, he could come into contact with Alpha without any interruptions.
Within Alpha's essence, she felt it. The sudden interference from outside. "!!" The Soul Clone twitched and looked over at the direction where the interference was. It was Raleigh. Suddenly, she felt her body weakening, her grip on Kimia's soul becoming weaker.
"W-What is this?!" Alpha held her head, her vision getting blurry. Sci-Twi noticed this and was shocked. What was happening to her?
"What's wrong with her?" Sci-Twi asked, feeling Alpha's struggle. The reason for this was not just a simple contact from Raleigh. It was something else. On the outside, Raleigh was having his Magearna help out. Using her Soul Heart, Magearna would interact with Alpha's body by flowing her own essence inside her. Even though she was a mechanical Pokemon, she was alive, and that meant her essence would be the key to separating the sisters. Meanwhile, Passion would continue fighting Kimia's Gardevoir, using Dazzling Gleam to counter the Psychic Pokemon's Moonblast.
"Magearna, please...save her." He pleaded as Magearna made sure Raleigh's voice would be heard. The voice of Raleigh would enter the essence of Alpha, reveberating throughout her entire domain, causing her to hold her ears. She was too weak at the moment to do anything, and in her vulnerable state, her mental defenses weren't as strong as before. She fell on her knees and grunted, letting go of Kimia in the process. "Kimia!"
"...R-Raleigh..." Alpha muttered her brother's name, her pupils shrinking. Sci-Twi was in awe and couldn't believe what was happening right now. "Stop it! Stop it now!" Alpha yelled, trying to resist. And as for Kimia herself, she too obviously heard it, a smile forming on her face, knowing her brother was at work to try and bring her back to her senses. She then realized, if she could add to the plea, the better. So she began to sing. In her angelic voice, she sang, not a single word in mind, but to the tune of a soothing melody to ease the tension. Alpha couldn't stand her anymore, holding her ears tightly. "STOP THIS, NOW!!"
Suddenly, a flash of light would blind everyone in her realm, forcing them to cover their eyes. A surge of energy would burst forth, the magical chains that were wrapped around her breaking. Alpha's body looked like it was being torn apart with the light flowing out of her and striking her in waves. This was a sign of hope, a sign that there was a way to save her. As the light faded, the chains that once bound her were shattered, the pieces falling to the floor. Kimia was freed, her body levitating in place. She was no longer in control.
Sci-Twi flew over to hold Kimia, wrapping her arms around her. "Kimia! A-Are you...are you back?"
"...That's Princess Kimia to you, Twilight Sparkel." She smiled while raising her head to look at Sci-Twi. Everything about her was back to normal. She was fully back to her old self. Sci-Twi laughed with glee and relief and hugged the princess tightly.
And since Kimia's soul had finally been freed, this caused a massive chain reaction to the Betas and Zetas. Since all of them had appearances linked to Kimia, their bodies were breaking apart as well, the same thing that happened to their leader. They were fading, their bodies vanishing and their forms shifting back to the original souls that were stolen to make these clones. All of the clones disappeared from their places, leaving nothing behind.
"Wow..." Pinkie Pie looked up at the sight of all the souls flying up in the air. With the spell that was binding their wills together was broken, their essences would fly upward to return to their true owners.
Sci-Twi and Kimia returned to the real world, and Raleigh was the first to embrace his sister. "Kimia!" He yelled, lunging into his big sister's arms and holding her tight. Tears of joy and happiness streamed down his face and he couldn't contain his emotions any longer. "Y-You're okay! Oh, thank goodness, you're alright!" His body shook and trembled as the two of them held one another.
"I'm sorry, little brother." Kimia whispered and hugged him tightly in response. Her arms wrapped around his waist and squeezed him. "It's going to be alright, now." She could feel his pain, his fear and his love.
Magearna hovered next to the two siblings, happy that they were reunited again. And with Ash being free of his bindings, a turnaround was made.
As the sun rose higher, its rays bathed the area in a warm, golden light. Ash and the others gazed at Professor Grogar, Galaxy Master and his Pokemon. "Now...it's time to bring you back, dad." Ash said to Galaxy Master while holding his arm in pain. All that was left was to free Galaxy Master next.
As the journey continues.
