My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Father and Son
Previous ChapterNext ChapterGalar. Out in the Mountains. Day.
Kimia had been freed. Her soul was back to how it was and all the other souls that made up her body had been scattered, bringing the original indivduals back to how they were. And with Kimia free, all that was left was Galaxy Master.
Ash got on one knee after feeling the pain, gripping his arm tightly. Clearly, the chains that Grogar wrapped around him earlier left an impact, and the damage was starting to show. But he wasn't alone. The rest of his friends were there, ready to support him.
"This isn't over...Not by a long shot. Victory is still claimable for us!" Grogar declared, looking at his opponents. He was still confident in his success, even with the odds stacked against him.
"Ash. Are you alright?" Celestia went up to Ash, checking up on his arm. Seeing the damage done to it, Celestia would use her magic to try and soothe the pain.
"Thanks, Celestia..." Ash thanked.
"I see Galaxy Master's on their side now...a shame." Celestia turned her attention to the Galactic Guardian, who stood silently. "But. Nothing we can't fix..."
"His body's all light, Celestia. We tried snapping him out of it by heading into his mind, but that wasn't enough." Ash informed.
"So...he's just a body of light, you say?" Celestia asked, to which she got nods from the others. "...Then I think I know what to do. Raleigh. Get your sister home safely so she can rest. And if you could, get me a bottle of water. If my theory is correct, then we can end this whole problem right now. Just leave him to me."
"Of course. Come on, Magearna. Let's get Kimia somewhere safe." Raleigh commanded, to which Magearna nodded. The two would have to get her back on the ship, safe and sound. While she was back, her body still needed to recover from having her soul return to normal.
Grogar growled at them, his anger rising and rising. But the one to calm him down would be the original Grogar, speaking to him from within. "Calm down. Don't let them get to you, otherwise you'll fail. It is not over yet. Not in the slightest."
"You're right...but my chances of stopping Prisma are moving away from me further and further by the minute." Professor Grogar snarled. "I need to find a way to prevent any more delays. The last counterpart is Victor and if they manage to reach him in time..."
"They won't. Perhaps getting to Victor first is the key. Allow me to show you a spell that will help with that." The Original Grogar took action, deciding to manipulate the scenario before it could get too out of hand.
The main thing that had to be done was to get Ash in a single spot without any further interruptions, but that was easier said than done. Very much easier said than done. Ash had a lot of friends backing him up. But Victor was another story. He was the only one left.
Using his magic, he would tether the sky and ground itself, summoning a long string of corrupted magic. They group watched as the magic linked to the sunny skies and the verdant ground. Celestia wondered what he was doing, ready to tear the magic apart with her own magic.
She went for the string, attempting to cut it half. And she did. With great aim, she cleaved the string in two, seperating it in one go. However, the Original Grogar smirked, anticipating that. Upon breaking it apart, the magic would split, moving at incredible speeds before suddenly splitting into millions of pieces.
They all gasped as the millions of pieces that were sent flying in their direction. At the same time, Galaxy Master would be on the move once more, flying next to the array of of pieces. Celestia attempted to repel them all, which she very much had the power to do so. Howewver, Grogar made them intangible to her attempts of repelling it, the magic phasing right though Celestia. The Sun Princess gasped, realizing they were intangible, but it was too late to stop them.
The pieces would latch onto Ash directly, pinning him in the exact same spot. His arms would be pinned, along with his legs and the rest of his body. "What in the-" Before Ash could finish, a strong blast of energy would be fired at the ground beneath him, creating a large hole. This caused the earth to cave in, dropping Ash inside the hole. The piece of magic that had restrained him vanished, returning to where it came from. From there, the ground would close, trapping him within the earth.
"Ash!" Sci-Twi yelled in shock, looking at the large crater. She quickly flew over to the spot, hoping to rescue him. "Hang on, Ash! I'm coming!"
However, the Original Grogar would not allow her to intervene. He casted a powerful shield, forming a dome around the outside of the crater, blocking her from entering. Celestia would fire at the shield, breaking it apart and freeing her. Once the shield was gone, Sci-Twi flew to the edge of the crater and saw the massive hole. Without a moment's hesitation, she dove in, hoping to save him.
But Galaxy Master was ahead of her. He would teleport past Sci-Twi, going straight for Ash. Galaxy Master would be the one to handle Ash while Grogar deals with Victor. There was still a chance for him to reach Victor, and that was the plan he and the original Grogar had in mind. They were certain that their plan would succeed, and soon, their goal would be realized. Their success was almost assured.
Noticeabaly, one of the pieces that scattered would latch right onto Galaxy Master's body, but did nothing to him. Nothing notable anyway.
As for how it would be done, something grand would happen. Due to the magic linking to the skies and the ground earlier, it finally had an effect on them. An effect that moved them as a whole. Celestia gasped, suddenly feeling the sky itself move, affecting her body. "What?!" She was bewildered as this was a feeling like no other. Usually, if something forces her to move an earthquake would do the trick. But this was different, and it was the cause of an ancient magic that was being used on a planetary scale. "He's...he's moving the sky...Or rather the earth itself!"
It was a bold and dangerous move that had the potential to affect the entire planet. By manipulating the sky, it would have an immediate and dramatic impact on the planet's rotation and the gravitational forces that hold it in place.
This could result in a wide range of catastrophic effects that could threaten the stability and survival of the world. The force of the sky's movement could disrupt weather patterns and lead to extreme climate changes.
The sudden shift in the atmosphere could create intense pressure gradients, causing severe storms, tornadoes, and hurricanes. Such violent weather could have devastating consequences on the natural environment, infrastructure, and populations of the affected regions.
In addition to the direct impact on weather, the forced movement of the sky could also trigger geological disturbances. The sheer magnitude of the change in rotational speed and the resulting shifts in gravitational forces could cause earthquakes, tsunamis, and volcanic eruptions. The instability of the planet's tectonic plates could result in widespread imbalance of cities, landscapes, and ecosystems, leading to life being threatened.
Moreover, the disturbance in the magnetic field of the Earth could lead to disruptions in communication systems, satellites, and electronic devices that rely on electromagnetic signals. Navigation systems, including GPS, could be rendered useless, affecting transportation and logistics. The disruption of telecommunications could isolate communities, hinder emergency response, and hamper the ability to coordinate disaster relief efforts.
With the knowledge of the immense risks involved, Grogar did not regret it. Especially since the movement was also moving his massive entity body, allowing him to traverse the landscape quicker than usual. He would be able to catch up to Victor in a matter of hours.
"That crafty...!" Celestia growled, thinking of who she should handle first. Galaxy Master or Grogar. After thinking for a while, she took off, going straight for Grogar to try and keep up with him. "Passion! Let's hurry!"
"Garde!" Passion cried in agreement, chasing after the massive, towering titan, who was moving through the landscape, trudging through the terrain and making his way to Victor. The two were left to deal with him while the others would deal with rescuing Ash.
Down in the pit, the young boy found himself sinking in a dark, deep hole. And at the same time, Galaxy Master would grab onto him, reaching Ash in seconds. And upon grabbing him, Galaxy Master would summon a swirl of stars around himself which briefly started surrounding Ash too.
Ash would try and retaliate with one the souls within him, but Galaxy Master wasn't actually targeting his body outright. Instead, the cluster of stars was sending him to a personalized dimension, taking him to a completely new location.
At the same time, a portal would open, the spiralling mass of stars creating a vortex of light and energy. Ash would struggle to escape his grasp, but to no avail. The portal had been created and was growing in strength. As the portal expanded, a surge of cosmic power coursed through, enveloping both Galaxy Master and Ash in a blinding radiance. With a final burst of starlight, the portal fully activated, and the two figures disappeared, their forms vanishing into the ethereal realm.
But at the last second, Sci-Twi managed to join him in there, her body tumbling into this realm just as the portal closed. Her eyes widened in surprise as she found herself hurtling towards the ground, her surroundings a whirlwind of vibrant hues and celestial lights.
"Ngh..." Ash got off the ground, his body having landed in the center of a strange, alien landscape. His senses were overwhelmed by the surreal beauty of the place. It was a small galaxy crafted from dreams and stardust, a place that Galaxy Master created.
Galaxy Master stood up too, successfully bringing Ash in here but not alone. He didn't intend on someone else joining him in here.
Sci-Twi, still reeling from her unexpected arrival, stumbled to her feet and rushed to Ash's side. "Are you okay, Ash?!"
"I'm fine...But man those stars stung..." Ash groaned as the heat of the stars affected his body earlier, making him groan. But his attention would return to Galaxy Master, the hero standing before him and his friend. "Celestia said she had something that could work on him...but now it's just in here."
With Celestia purusiing Grogar, Ash and Sci-Twi were left to deal with Galaxy Master on their own. Which memant that Ash had to break him out of this control in the only way he knew how. "Dad! I swear I'll get you back! Even if you're just a body of light!" Ash declared, suddenly running to Galaxy Master.
"Ash, wait!" Sci-Twi cried out as Ash was about to get up close and personal. Using the soul of Dialga, he would try and stop time once more for a while. But Galaxy Master was ready. Pointing his finger, he shot a small galaxy ray at Ash, hitting his leg.
"Gh!" Ash tripped and fell to the ground, his leg hurting from the sudden attack. Galaxy Master was not letting him use the souls at all.
"ASH!" Sci-Twi screeched.
"Even if you're under his control..." Despite the damage to the leg, Ash would still get up. Not only did he get up, he would lunge forward, hugging Galaxy Master's legs to try and knock him off balance. "You can't let him use you forever!"
"...!" The Fictional Superhero looked down at Ash trying to knock him over, promptly pushing him off and kicking him away. "Ough!"
"Hold on, Ash! I'll-" But right as Sci-Twi went out to take a Poke Ball, she found that it was pointless. Taking it out, there appeared to be a galactic chain around it, much to her chagrin. "What?!"
It wasn't just her. Each of Sci-Twi and Ash's Poke Balls were chained and sealed, meaning they couldn't summon any of their friends to help them. She wasn't even sure how that happened. "...Wait, does he have the ability to seal our Pokemon in these dimensions?" There were many possibilities of what Galaxy Master could do in the dimension, but sealing their Pokemon was a very valid possibility. Meaning the two of them were on their own, without a single ally to help. This was the worst-case scenario, where the entire fight was between the three of them and the odds were stacked against them.
"We'll see about that!" Ash yelled, going in again for another grab. Dad!" He cried out his name, only to be pushed down by the fictional character. Once more, he would attempt to hug his legs, and yet, that didn't work either.
"Stop it, Ash!" Sci-Twi saw it as a pointless endeavour, attempting to run to his side. But Galaxy Master would shoot a small star, knocking her down. "Gah!"
"Twilight!" Ash screamed, turning to her. But he would be grabbed and lifted up in the air. "H-Hey, put me down!" He would squirm in his grasp. At that point, Galaxy Master would toss him far, his body rolling on the ground.
He was tossed far from the area, getting a bit bruised on his back. But Ash was a tenacious fellow. Very tenacious. He got right back up, running in for another try. "Please, dad! It's all Grogar's work! You're a hero! You can't let him control you-" Ash was stopped by a Galaxy Pulse which knocked him back once more. And in the meantime, Galaxy Master would jump to him while he was down, being fully aggressive.
He would grab Ash by the shirt, picking him up with immense strength while Ash groaned. Even still, Ash tried fighting back, slamming his arms onto Galaxy Master's shoulders and punching his chest, but it did nothing. That was when the real beating began, as Galaxy Master would slam him down onto the ground, making him cough.
But even when down, Ash grabbed Galaxy Master's arm so that he wouldn't release his hold on him. The fictional character noticed this, attempting to shrug Ash off, but his grip was stronger than expected. "Dad! You wanna protect Earth...Just like how I wrote it all the way back then! Because I based on you the coolest guy I know! Even if you're fictional, you still count as my dad! I don't care what Grogar says!" This made the superhero pause, his mind momentarily lapsing. It seemed that Ash had an impact on him.
But at that moment, Galaxy Master would punch him across the face, knocking him to the floor once more.
"Stop it, already!" Sci-Twi ran over. "That's your son!" She would go in to rescue him, but at that moment, she was pushed back once more. Galaxy Master did not want her interrupting his mission whatsoever. He would deal with her later, but Ash was the main priority. "A-Ash..."
"I made you to be the coolest person I know! Because so was my dad!" Ash yelled, getting back up. He was not stopping. "And if you're the best of the best, you'll not let Grogar keep controlling you, no matter how hard it gets!"
Galaxy Master would grab him and throw him on the ground, stomping on his stomach. And despite that, Ash kept on trying to make him remember. "Don't let him use you as a puppet...Come on, Dad, please, snap out of it!"
"No, stop it!" Sci-Twi couldn't bear the sight of her love getting beaten on the ground, she had to act. But no matter how strong her will was, she was powerless to stop the situation in front of her, no Pokemon were coming to their aid. Galaxy Master would kick him on the ribs, causing Ash to yell out.
"Ngh...Gh..." Ash groaned, being no his knees as his clothes were messy now. "I wrote you to always win...Not just in fights, but in everything else. I know you're pummeling me right now...but you dad...you're the one who taught me not to just win in fights. But in other things. You told me to keep following my dreams. You told me if I give up, my dream is never gonna come true...You're a part of it!" Ash's voice was elevated as that stunned Galaxy Master, causing him to flinch.
In fact, it did more than that. Despite not having a clear and visible mind due to being a body of light, Galaxy Master did have memories. And those memories were linked to Ash's father, the man he was based off. It was all starting to show within him. The exact moment Ash's dad said that to his son at a young age. All of his words to him were there. But something else he said to Ash would come up.
"My dream is to become a Pokemon Master...but...that also means sharing it with everyone I love...Being a Pokemon Master to me...a part of that is making a bunch of friends. And I'm made a ton of them!" Ash said while being on one knee. "Just like you said! I made a lot of friends like you wanted me too! I met Pikachu, Misty and Brock when I started out. I've been on a journey ever since, and I've seen a ton of cool things. You wouldn't believe the kind of stuff I've done..."
The memories would flash in Galaxy Master's head, his body twitching and his eyes slowly becoming less and less dull. There was a conflict of interest. His mind was being ordered to destroy the boy in front of him. To strike him down. And yet, the very same boy was his son. A memory of the past came into his head.
"Ash, my boy." It was a sunny day. Many years ago, on a bright and beautiful morning. A small house was in the middle of nowhere, a forest surrounding the area. Within the house were two figures, a 4-year-old kid, and a grown man. They were in the kitchen. "You can't let them get to you like that, Ash."
"I don't wanna stay in Pallet Town anymore...No one likes me." Ash whimpered, his head down. "They think I'm weird because of what I wanna be, dad. I wanna follow it but...I don't know if anyone's gonna take me seriously."
"Being a Pokemon Master isn't weird, kiddo." The man gave him a pat on the head. "But, Ash, no matter how many people reject you, you mustn't let that discourage you. One day, you're going to leave this place, and you'll find tons of friends to play with. That's why, whenever I'm gone, you gotta make some friends." He would ruffle his hair.
"B-But...I don't know how..." Ash whimpered. "What if they don't like me?"
"Of course, they will, Ash, because of that big smile." He pointed at his teeth. "Your mother and I will love you no matter where we are. But...it all depends on you.
"Me?"
"It all depends on who you are. Our ancestors had a pretty good way of explaining it. You've gotta be the one to make others come to you and in return, you'll come to them. You'll know your friends when you see them. And the world is vast, bigger than anything you can imagine. Sooner or later, you'll find a friend." the father would pet his head. "And sooner or later, that friend will explore everything else with you."Never give up, okay, son? I'll always have faith in you."
Ash would feel better, smiling. "O-Okay...Thanks, dad! Um...can we go for takeout? I'm hungry cause I skipped lunch at school."
"Alright, alright, let's get going." The father took his hand, and the two left the house together, walking along the dirt road.
The memory would fade as Ash was breathing heavily. "And...I kept it up...All the friends I made are awesome, dad!" Ash yelled at him. "Misty, Iris and Twilight yell at me a bunch...but they're super-nice and always help me out in a jam. I can talk to any of them about whatever! Brock's really cool too. He knows a bunch of stuff and he's a great cook, and his cooking is the best thing ever, dad!"
Galaxy Master would flinch once more, grabbing his own head. What was happening to him?
"There's Dawn, and Bonnie, and Clemont, and May, and Max, and Serena and Cilan, and Tracey and Gary, and so many more that I can't even begin to tell you! Everyone from Equestria's been a blast to hang out with! Applejack's Apple Pies are so good and Pinkie Pie throws so many awesome parties! I'll never get tired of loving Pokemon with Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash and I love to battle! Rarity's made awesome clothes for me to wear and I love 'em each! You should've been there to see them. Everyone I met was so nice, and they're the best friends I could ask for." Ash would get on his feet, staring at the figure in the sky. "So, dad, you're not letting him win. You're not doing it, and neither will I!"
Ash spoke with an elevated voice as his Aura would suddenly exert out of his body. And it exerted to new heights. The azure color would become more and more vibrant, the beautiful blue flowing through him. It was something no one had ever seen in him. Not even he knew what was going on.
"Ash! All that Aura...?!" Sci-Twi had to squint her eyes. It was a powerful flow of energy, almost blinding her. "Y-You're shining...!"
"Uugh..." Galaxy Master groaned, covering his eyes at the sight of the aura. The Aura was rapidly rising to new heights that were actually affecting this dimension itself. The energy that made it up was starting to be ripped apart, clusters of stars being consumed by the Aura. In fact, the entire area was starting to shake, and the vibrations were enough to reach the bottom floor. It felt like an earthquake had begun.
"This feeling...is he ripping it apart?!"Sci-Twi gasped.
"!!" Galaxy Master gasped, realizing what was happening. He knew he had to put an end to this now. In his hand, a galaxy would form as he pulled his arm back, ready to launch another attack. "Galaxy Flash!" He thrust his hand forward as a massive Galaxy Beam was unleashed. A barrage of cosmic energy, bigger than the last, heading right towards the boy.
Ash's body was engulfed by the beam as an array of miniature galaxies were within the beam, constantly flying by and striking Ash's body. He stood in the midst of the beam, clenching his teeth as his Aura acted as a shield for him. Every part of his body was being bombarded by a wave of pain. Despite that, the Aura was holding, and his will was not broken. If anything, the power he was using was only getting stronger and stronger. "I'm not losing to you, dad! We'll bring you back!"
"ASH!" Sci-Twi cried out, seeing the young trainer was unable to withstand the overwhelming pressure.
"If Audino can overheal to the point where it neutralizes stuff...then so can Xerneas!" Ash's eyes would flash open as the soul of Xerneas appeared in the middle of the beam. "Due to this, Ash was rapidly healing his body, outpacing the Galaxies.
"Amazing...He used his Aura to burn through the dimension...so that he could use his souls again...!" Sci-Twi realized what Ash had done. Galaxy Master's energy in this dimension was holding back Sci-Twi's magic and the souls within Ash. But the sheer power of Ash's Aura was pushing that limit, allowing him to break through. She was astonished, amazed that he could pull off such a feat. With his will and determination, his strength and his desire to win, he had shattered the limitations of this realm, if only a little bit. And in that gap, he was able to unleash his strongest asset.
"Come back to me! DAD!" Ash rushed in as he threw a punch with every ounce of Xerneas's energy in his fist. Galaxy Master was struck right in the center of his chest, the impact of the blow knocking him away and stopping the beam. A beautiful outburst of Life Energy erupted from the punch as the entire dimension would shake violently, even cracking apart due to the intensity of the blast. The punch was so strong that Galaxy Master would crash onto the floor below, the collision causing a shockwave of red and blue energy to envelop the room.
Soon, the life force that was exerted was so strong, that the Dimension was beginning to shatter and collapse, cracks forming everywhere, pieces of the sky falling to the ground and dissolving into nothingness. It was no longer able to contain Ash's incredible power and was being torn apart by his will and resolve. Ash fell to the ground, landing near Galaxy Master's fallen form. His own father was lying on the floor, unconscious.
"Ash!" Sci-Twi ran to both of them. "Are you okay?! Your dad-"
But as she looked down on them, especially on the unconscious Galaxy Master, that tiny piece from before which latched onto him would start glowing, reacting to the outcome. And from it, A projection of Grogar would show himself.
"Grogar...?!" Sci-Twi gasped.
"I can't believe this...I've felt it. My hold on him is gone." Grogar growled. That tiny piece was a way for Grogar to monitor the situation while he was away. "This is outrageous?!" Naturally, he was furious. Losing someone as powerful as Galaxy Master was a huge blow to his forces. "But...it isn't over yet! Even in my abscence, I can still do something about this!"
"W-What do you mean?"
"Right now, even though my body is on the move, with an advanced spell, I can easily take action even away from my target! This isn't over!" Grogar yelled as his projection had faded. Sci-Twi did not like the sound of that. From what Grogar was saying, it sounded like he was about to show up even though he was already far gone.
But right now, the dimension had come to an end, bringing them back to the real world.
As the journey continues.
