Prisma vs the World

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Johto. Late Afternoon.

Prisma found himself in Johto, continuing his destruction, looking down at the damage caused by his Pokemon. To add insult to injury, he had Ho-oh pf all Pokemon bring about all of this destruction on Johto. A powerful beam fired from the sky and struck the ground, causing a massive explosion that shook the earth and sent debris flying in every direction.

Ho-oh's flames burned away the buildings and streets, leaving nothing behind. There were actually Trainers that did try and stand up to Prisma, challenging him. But alas, in mere seconds or minutes, they would fall. None were strong enough to face him. So far, the Gym Leaders of the Johto Region were nowhere to be seen, having been unable to fight him. But that was only because they were helping others evacuate.

With a loud screech, Ho-Oh unleashed a barrage of attacks that defeated entire hordes of Pokémon and their trainers. Johto's ancient and long-lasting buildings were at risk of being destroyed in the process. The cities were in shambles, the towns were destroyed and the forests were ablaze. The landscape of Johto was changing, and not in a good way. With the legendary Ho-oh, the Pokemon that was meant to represent peace and hope, now destroying everything, the people of the region could only watch as their homes and possessions were reduced to ash. The skies were darkened, the air was filled with smoke and the scent of burnt wood.

"This way! In here!" Clair was a part of the people helping everyone escape. She had already used her own Harmony Badge to open a gateway, guiding everyone through to the safety of the other side.

"I think that's everyone from this side gone." Jasmine said, having helped escort a lot of people out. Her Steelix was right beside her, ready to keep her safe should danger arrive. "I think we should get going, Clair." Jasmine turned to the Dragon Master, who was still looking around, making sure she hadn't missed anyone.

"Not yet." Speaking up was Lance who walked over to the two Gym Leaders. "There's a few more groups left in Blackthorn City." He pointed to a large group of people running from a horde of cinders and flaming debris, trying to find an escape route. "Johto's too scattered now.

"Darn it! I should be out there, going up against Prisma myself!" Clair clenched her hands into fists. Though her grip was tight and her determination was strong, deep down, she was well aware that the situation was beyond her control.

"I'll go instead." Lance said. "You'll have to stay behind Clair." Lance insisted.

"But why?!"

"I'm counting on you and the others to keep everyone safe. You should be able to meet up with Falkner on the other side. If things get out of control, keep using the Harmony Badge to open up gateways and flee."

"But what if we run out of space?" Jasmine asked. "Prisma plans to destroy everything, which means at some point, there might not be anywhere left to run to." The reality of the situation was bleak, and the possibility of running out of places to hide was a real concern. The fate of the world was uncertain and the future of Johto, and the other regions, seemed perilous at best.

"Then just keep moving. Don't stop." Lance said to her, his tone was serious. He was determined to protect the innocent people of the region, even if it meant taking risks himself. "My job is to buy more time." With that, he took to the skies. His Dragonite flew high and fast, carrying him to the next area of chaos.

Galar. The Crown Tundra. The Crown Shrine.

Back at the site of the Crown Shrine, the residents of Ponyville, the Princesses and Calyrex arrived, seeing the devastation that had occurred. To their surprise, despite all the destruction, the Crown Shrine was in tact.

From what Applejack saw, it looked like Alpha had destroyed it, but just like Calyrex said, Spectrier protectted it, using its own power to make an illusional barrier to deceive Alpha. However, as the storm continued to rage, that very illusion was starting to fail. Even a powerful Pokemon such as Spectrier would eventually succumb to the sheer power of the storm and the Dragon Matter.

"So that's the shrine..." Celestia muttered. "Are you sure Spectrier is there?"

"I'm sure of it. It should still be lingering there. I've brought the Shaderoot Carrots to distract it. We should make this quick and immediately advance towards Prisma and Twilight Luminaria." Calyrex said to them all, getting closer to the Crown Shrine.

But when they got up there, Calyrex was taken aback by what he had witnessed, gasping at the sight before him. Due to the Dragon Matter storm above, many Pokemon across the Crown Tundra and even Galar were taking on draconic forms. And alas, Spectrier was one of them. The energy of the Dragon Matter had reached the Crown Shrine, already engulfing the Swift Horse Pokemon.

And what Calyrex saw was a draconic version of his trusted steed. Its mane and tail had changed in color, becoming a mix of red, blue, and white and looking like a raging inferno. On its forehead, a majestic horn had emerged, having a fiery aura on it.

Spectrier's legs had undergone a dramatic change, becoming elongated and elegant, resembling those of a dragon. They were covered with scales in shades of crimson and violet, and ended in sharp talons that glimmered like polished obsidian. The hooves were replaced with powerful claws that left deep imprints on the ground and intense heat that was already melting the rest of the snow.

But that was not all. Spectrier's non-existent eyes had transformed into intense orbs of molten lava. The sclerae had taken on a fiery glow, emitting a captivating radiance. Within the depths of these eyes, swirling embers could be seen and finally, its teeth had become razor-sharp.

"I-Is that your Pokemon...?" Soarin' asked with a stutter.

"Oh no...The Dragon Matter has gotten to it as well?!" Calyrex exclaimed. Spectrier noticed their arrival, instantly letting out a combined neigh and roar, showing that the once calm and gentle Swift Horse was now a feral beast. It stomped its hooves, and charged right towards the group. Calyrex quickly got on top of the Crown Shrine, holding the Reins of Unity tightly in his hand. "Use the Shaderoot Carrots to calm Spectrier and hurry and put on the reins!" Calyrex yelled at them.

"Wait, why can't ya just do it?!" Applejack asked. "It's yer horse after all!"

"Spectrier is no longer under my control. I can't ride it like this. I'm counting on you all to calm it down!"

"We'll do just that! By expelling the Dragon Matter out of it!" Celestia said as everyone took out their Poke Balls once more. But even though Calyrex had healed their bodies, they were still staggered after their battle against Prisma. Nevertheless, the Pokemon were still ready to help their trainers out.

"Go! Darkrai!" Luna sent Darkrai out, followed by an array of Pokemon. "Ngh..." Luna groaned, feeling the stagger in her hooves. "We must persevere. Our world and the Pokemon World are depending on us."

"We should at least be able to stop this Pokemon. Hopefully." Rarity uttered, sounding a bit unsure of herself.

Spectrier roared again, charging straight for the group. Everyone was prepared to defend themselves and Calyrex. However, Celestia was the first to act. She knew that, being the leader of the group, it was her duty to lead the charge. "I'm counting on you! Passion!" She threw the Poke Ball out, bringing forth her Gardevoir.

"Garde...Voir!" And upon arrival, Passion would hold back Spectrier's charge, placing her hand on its face. Using her psychic power, she tried to restrain Spectrier, but the Dragon Matter's influence was strong. The Pokemon shook off the attack, rearing up and then slamming its hooves down. This impact created a powerful shockwave that pushed Passion backwards. But she was far from giving in.

Passion had a lot of time to recover in her Poke Ball, meaning a huge chunk of her strength had already returned to her.

"Dazzling Gleam!"

"Voir!" Passion held both arms out, releasing a barrage of light rays that bombarded Spectrier, forcing it to stagger and step back. This allowed the other Pokemon to jump in and join the fray.

"Go for it, Luxray! Discharge!" Rainbow Dash brought forth her Luxray for this.

"Lux...Ray!" From his body, a barrage of volts would violently fly out, striking Spectrier. The Swift Horse Pokemon would neigh, unleashing its draconic flames to counter the Discharge.

The Flames tore through the air, causing the other Pokemon to flinch and block the way of the attacks. Everyone groaned as they felt the intense heat, and were forced to watch the Discharge being cut down. The fire shot from its mouth, engulfing Luxray and pushing him back to where the heroes were. The electricity stopped and the flame dispersed.

"Ferrothorn! Use Power Whip!" A trainer said.

"Ferro!" Ferrothorn shot a bunch of whips from its body and grabbed hold of Spectrier's legs. The Pokemon was pulled towards them and the trainer commanded another attack. "Now, use Gyro Ball!" Ferrothorn began to spin rapidly, pulling Spectrier with it, and the two collided in a powerful impact, resulting in a blast that threw Ferrothorn away.

"Dark Void, Darkrai! Quick!" Luna saw an opportunity to try and put Spectrier to sleep. Darkrai would look up, promptly throwing an orb of darkness that was aimed at Spectrier's head. The Dragon-Matter infused Pokemon was caught in the shadowy void, falling asleep. But in its rage, it thrashed about, shaking its head, refusing to fall asleep. The orb broke and the Pokemon was free, roaring at them. "By the stars..."

Upon breaking out, Spectrier would unleash a barrage of shadow flames from above, raining it down on the area. This would make everyone scatter and run around, avoiding the attacks. The flames kept going, and the Pokemon would continue to fight, only to keep getting knocked away by the sheer power of Spectrier's newfound draconic powers.

"Noi!" Vinyl Scratch's Noivern would use Boomburst, unleashing a powerful outburst of sound that would blow away the shadow flames. This distracted the transformed horse long enough to let the others take a shot at it. All the while, Calyrex was looking for the right moment to put the Reins of Unity on Spectrier.

Spectrier would land on the ground, the impact of that descent unleashing fire pillars that would repeatedly erupt from the ground, blasting everything in its path. "Use Psychic!"

"Garde!" Passion would focus on the approaching pillars, stopping them in place. And when stopping them, she would rip the flames out of the ground, using them as her own. The Embrace Pokemon swirled them around her, forming a giant flaming tornado that would be unleashed on Spectrier, trapping the rampaging beast in a vortex of its own Shadow Flames.

"Lopunny! Use Bounce!" Rarity cried out.

"Lopun!" Lopunny ascended high into the air, going straight into the eye of the Shadow Flame storm. With a flip in the air, she'd come down, delivering a powerful kick to the side of its face. After kicking Spectrier, she would flip out of the storm, letting hr allies get their own hits in.

"Now, restrain it! Golurk!" Applejack screamed.

"Gol!" Golurk would fly in, ready to grab a hold of Spectrier to give Calyrex a chance. The Automaton Pokemon flew forwad, pushing its hand through the Shadow Flame Vortex and grabbing Spectrier. With its mighty strength, Golurk would hold Spectrier in place, making sure that the infected horse would stay in that position.

"Go now, Calyrex!" Applejack shouted. "Golurk won't be able to hold him forever!"

"Right!" Calryex would jump off of his perch and onto Spectrier. He would swing himself on, landing on the saddle that he and Spectrier shared. "Spectrier, calm down!" He yelled. In a rage, Spectrier would buck and thrash about, trying to throw Calyrex and Golurk off. "Please, calm yourself, old friend!" Calyrex would raise the Reins of Unity and attempt to pull the rein's over Spectrier's head, but the Pokemon would toss him off, making the King of Bountiful Harvests' grip on the reins weaken and almost slip. He would hang on, barely keeping his grip on the reins. "Ngh...Spectrier...You must listen to me!"

But then, the Dragon Matter within Spectrier would suddenly elevate to new heights. It was like the matter sensed that the bond between Trainer and Pokemon was strengthening, so it needed to break the trust. So, in a sudden burst of energy, the Dragon Matter's dark aura would erupt, knocking Golurk back and causing the Shadow Storm to disperse. Calyrex would find himself being tossed in the wind, still hanging on to the reins, and the other Pokemon would get blown away by the force.

Everyone else would receive the same treatment as the whole Crown Shrine would be engulfed in a massive wave that would send everyone flying. From great distances, the outburst of draconic energy could be seen and felt, a sign that the Pokemon world was ending.

And speaking of an ending world, Prisma watched as his destruction continued with no further issues. He crossed his arms while gazing at the destruction he brought Johto, making it all completely unrecognizable. Everything was in shambles because of him, but right now, a thought went off in Prisma's head.

"Where are they all...?" Prisma was expecting to see someone during all of this. Where were the Champions? His mind immediately jumped to Lance and Cynthia. Why weren't they here to try and stop him, or even the Elite Four? Were they not aware of what was happening in their own regions?

Bea showed up and challenged him, but lost. So he expected to see others. But so far, they have yet to show themselves. In fact, because of this, Prisma was actually delaying the absolute destruction of everything, holding back the full destructive power of his Pokemon for that very reason.

"Hmph. If they won't show up, then I suppose I'll speed up the process."

"Prisma!" A voice responded to him from below. But it wasn't someone that was here to challenge him. Not at all. As he looked down, a familiar face showed up.

It was Scione. One of his supporters.

"Down here!" She waved her arms.

"You?" Prisma was even taken aback by her sudden appearance, having Ho-oh descend down. When they landed on the ground, he asked, "Why are you here?"

"Why else?! When I heard you finally appeared, I knew I had to find you as soon as possible. I'm glad that I did." Her eyes were filled with excitement, and her tone was excited. "I've been searching for a while. I had a feeling that you were going to be in Johto, so I headed straight there. And lo and behold, I was right. And just in time too." She paused, looking at the destruction. "So, how's everything going?"

"Tch. I find it ludicrous that you're actually excited about me destroying everything." Prisma dcrossed his arms.

"Well, I wouldn't say that..." Scione scratched her hair. "Think of it as me trying to show my support like I did all those years ago. After all, you entrusted some things to me. Especially that mansion."

"And now I have no use for it. Everything will come to an end, so all possessions are best forgetten." Prisma stated, coldly. "I suggest you leave. You have no reason to support me anymore since you will be destroyed."

"I've been your supporter since the day we first met." Scione said. "I remember when you came to me for backup plans. You still wanted to save everyone when you found me and I agreed. But even after that, I'd much rather stand by with you."

"Hmph. Do you think there's the slightest chance you'll be around? Even I will be gone." Prisma questioned her, to which she nodded.

"As your biggest supporter, yeah!" Scione screamed with a high-pitched voice, causing Prisma to flinch.

"Y-You're loud!" Prisma grimaced, holding his ear.

"You'd best believe that I have a ton of love for what you do! Specifically before all of this1 That's right!" Scione's smile would then shift into a more ominous smile. "A lot of love...Isn't that right, Queen?"

"Hm?" Prisma raised an eyebrow at that. Who was she referring to as Queen. Certainly not him. And that's when it was revealed. From behind, something had struck Prisma, managing to latch onto him and bypass his Aura. "!"

Prisma felt it latch onto the back of his neck as it was now all clear. Scione brought him into a trap, not actually being all for the end of all things. But it was a trap of a special calibre. Something that would be truly powerful enough to affect even Prisma. That's when it clicked for Prisma. The mention of Love and Queen applied to only one person.

"Chrysalis!" Prisma turned his head, his eyes glowing as he used them to see at great distances. And at in the distance, Chrysalis stood there, being responsible for the magical tendril that latched on to him.

Right now, she was using the Magic of Love on him, and it was working.

"Everyone! Pour all of your love into him!" Chrysalis said to all of her Changelings. They gathered together in a large circle, and poured every bit of the love that they absorbed, combining their powers in order to overpower the human. The goal was to try and find Ash in there and the way they went about it was by using love.

And Chrysalis certainly had a ton of love for Ash. The same amount of love that Twilight and Luna had, she would use it to its fullest potential. Prisma growled as he felt the Magic of Love flow into him, trying to force Ash and the others out of it.

"Not even all the Changelings together could hope to even bypass my Aura with this magic...So that must mean..." Prisma said to himself. "There's more at play here!"

And he'd be right. It wasn't just Chrysalis and the Changelings transferring all their love. Chrysalis was drawing power from others who loved Ash, in a similar fashion to that of how she once drained love from people to feed her hive. This time, instead of taking the love from the targets, she merely drew power from them.

The magic she used was seeping into the ground, travelling across the world and reaching others. The others in question being Dawn, all the way in the Sinnoh Region. Dawn looked up, seeing the magical aura of Chrysalis and adding to it, giving all the love she could to the effort.

"Ash..." She said to herself, hoping that her love was reaching Ash.

Others would feel the call of the Queen of the Changelings, and would pour their love in as well. Chrysalis brought out the most of her potential to make this possible.

His various friends from the many regions would add to it, pouring in their own love. Even his rivals were contributing to this, not wanting to lose the boy who helped them become strong trainers. Their Pokémon would also pour in their own feelings towards their trainer, a feeling that could not be replicated in any other way.

Each and every memory from their journeys and adventures, both happy and sad, would flood their hearts. There were even a few that didn't have the strongest of bonds, but nevertheless, were willing to do their part to help save him. Even the various Legendary and Mythical Pokémon would lend their aid.

Years and years of bonds were being poured into this magic. Everything from the beginning of Ash's journey to the present would be added. Eventually, the magic would begin to affect him, causing him to let out a gasp of pain, his hands clutching his chest, the effects of the magic affecting him in ways that were hard to describe. He was gritting his teeth, clearly struggling to stay in control. His body would start to twitch uncontrollably, as if he were in a state of shock.

"Argh! This feeling...!" Prisma shouted, but the pain would continue. The more of the Magic of Love that was forced into his body, the more pain he felt, and the less control he had over himself.

"Sorry about that~" Scione grinned while shrugging. "But we had to stop you somehow."

"If I can keep this up...I can reach Ash!" Chrysalis thought to herself, her horn glowing brightly. The love that was pouring in was getting stronger and stronger, and it wouldn't stop anytime soon.

"C-Clever...!" Prisma smirked, not really angry, despite his current predicament. "How can I expect anything less from Ash Ketchum's friends? Tenacious and clever lot, you all are!"

Ho-oh saw this and attempted to help out. But someone had intercepted Ho-oh, knocking it away. That being Lance's Dragonite. "Drago!" Dragonite roared at the Rainbow Pokemon, ready to battle against it.

Right now, various regions across the world were being spoken to by Chrysalis. With her Magic of Love connecting to everyone, she would able to communicate with them and inform them of what's happening. In doing so, she would have their support in trying to free Ash and the others from within the monstrous being that is Prisma. She would make her case to the world, and the world would respond.

Other areas that have yet to receive her magic would soon be reached. Chrysalis was able to manage every single one of it, maintaining a nice flow state to make sure that everything went smoothly.

"Listen well, Prisma...It doesn't matter how powerful you are...I know one thing for a fact! Love overall can exceed whatever it is you have!" Chrysalis yelled, her voice reaching Prisma and the world. "No matter what happens, the love that they all have for each other will NEVER DISAPPEAR!"

Prisma had to admit, even the words that were spoken had an effect on him. The Magic of Love was flowing at an intense rate. Right now, he was dealing with the combined love from the entire world, which is why he was in such pain. It's a wonder that his body hadn't shattered completely from all that power.

"I'll do whatever I can to get Ash back! So many are wanting him to be free from you! Right now, the entire planet's love is against you!" Her voice got even louder as the intensity of love rose. Everypony, every human, and every Pokémon on the planet were giving their love, their faith, their trust, their passion, their friendship and their determination.

It was the World vs Prisma.

As the journey continues.
