My Little Pokémon: Grander World
Against Love
Previous ChapterNext ChapterJohto. Late Afternoon.
Thanks to Scione, Chrysalis managing to initiate the full potential of her magic, latching the Magic of Love onto Prisma. And it was incredibly potent. This kind of magic was powerfull in all the best ways.
So powerful that it could even get past Prisma's Aura and affect him in such a way. The love that came from Ash's friends was what powered it and it was so gigantic that even Prisma had to acknowledge it.
"Interesting..." Prisma said while closing his eyes, amused by this. He could feel the magic entering his heart, and was starting to see the faces of those who loved the boy and his partners. "So the Magic of Love is capable of something like that...In that case...Let's see how far it can really go?!"
Prisma was about to challenge that love with his power. So in absolute retaliation, he unveiled more of his Aura. The air around him started to change, the ground shook and the clouds swirled above him, gathering together. It was clear that he wasn't going to let his body give in so easily, despite the overwhelming amount of love that was being given.
Just then, he started having his Dragon Matter infect the Magic of Love, pushing back against it and countering its effects. If the Magic of Love was a positive force, then the Dragon Matter would be the negative. His body became the conduit for that, and in doing so, the Magic of Love was met with a bit of resistance. Chrysalis could sense this, causing her to flinch. In turn, the Changelings felt this and some were pushed back from the counterattack. Even the ones in the other regions were feeling the pushback.
"I'll see just how powerful your Magic of Love can really be1 But you should know...I have no love to give!" Prisma laughed as he the Dragon Matter would elevate him to new heights. His power was growing, and the love that was given was slowly losing its momentum. Chrysalis was no longer the only one in charge, and the struggle was real. This was a tug of war, and it was anyone's game at this point.
Chrysalis grunted as the Dragon Matter was attempting to take her down, the sheer might of it all was incredible. She could tell that the other changelings were having trouble, and she could feel the hearts of the humans and Pokemon from afar, the strain that the two forces were putting on their bodies was massive.
"Agh!" Dawn clutched her chest, feeling the spike of Dragon Matter suddenly hit her as she got on her knees. Piplup rushed to her, worried. "It's okay...Just a little pain."
"Is it now?" Prisma's voice came through, startling them both. In fact, not just his voice, but his face began to manifest out of the Dragon Matter that found itself here. Dawn and Piplup looked up to see the face of their friend but altered to look more sinister, the black and red energy surrounding him.
And everywhere his Dragon Matter managed to reach thus far, his voice and face appeared before others, whether they were people or Pokemon. They all saw Prisma's face, a sight that was both intimidating and a little terrifying. Especially to those who could only see Ash's face behind it all.
Prisma's Dragon Matter kept growing, pushing the Magic of Love back more and more. "You feel it don't you...? Your Magic of Love is already failing. I have no love to give. There is nothing left for me to love. So all love can kindly be obliterated!" Prisma declared to them all.
The Magic of Love was being countered rather hard, and Chrysalis was feeling every bit of it. "In your dreams..." But Chrysalis objected to it. So as long as everyone cherishes Ash, my magic won't fade. You can't beat that, no matter what kind of power you have!"
"Really? Then it'll be fun to watch you try. Now that my Dragon Matter's actualy infected parts of your magic, you know what that means, right'?" Prisma smirked. "Destroying the world will be far easier than before!"
Prisma demonstrated what he meant by that. With the Dragon Matter appearing in this various locations, Prisma, with his outstanding power, would continue his destruction wherever the Dragon Matter was.
But he wouldn't just let his Dragon Matter rampage across those regions and lands. He would do something far worse. Pouring more of his strength into it, Prisma would transfer his Pokemon through the Dragon Matter and send them to the different areas to cause havoc. While the Magic of Love was pouring into him, he could also utilize the very same connection to spread his own influence and make the world his battleground. His Pokemon, and his own strength would crush anyone who opposed him and destroy any land that was in his way.
From the Dragon Matter, Pokemon would spawn. Such was the case for Sinnoh as Dawn and all others backed away, seeing the Pokemon that would emerge from it in a glorious Solar Blaze. The blaze erupted from the ground, burning away at the grass rapidly as they all started running for their lives, fearing that the flames were the end. But the fire would vanish, and from the ashes, a familiar figure would rise. One that would strike fear in the hearts of many.
Out of it Solgaleo emerged, the Legendary Pokémon of the Sun. Solgaleo roared, dispersping the flames around it and scattering them to cause more widespread destruction. Fire would fly from its body, landing in the forest and the mountains nearby.
With Solgaleo here, it was already emitting a body heat so blazingly hot that even distancing away from it didn't do much. It was a walking ball of fire that was ready to scorch the region in a sea of flame, and its presence made that incredibly easy to achieve.
Within Hoenn, rising from the Dragon Matter would be Prisma's own Reshiram and Zekrom, emerging as a duo and unleashing a torrent of thunder and lightning from their bodies, as well as a gust of gales and hurricane force winds. Everyone there was blown away, the wind was so strong. Reshiram and Zekrom would begin their assault, flying through the sky and attacking everything in sight, and casting their own judgment on the area. Massive pillars of lightning rained down from the skies, striking at random and causing large explosions to occur. And then, the fires would start raining from the sky, incinerating the landscape with pure plasma.
Poor Kalos was treated to the sudden appearance of a Pokemon that could destroy it in a restrictive way. The people of Kalos looked up, witnessing the arrival of Mewtwo upon their region. Mewtwo's body crackled with the Dragon Matter, and the Psychic energy that radiated from his body was immense. He would unleash his full psychic fury on the land, using his telekinetic powers to tear apart the ground, the buildings, and the environment. Anything that was not a living creature was caught in his power and thrown about the area.
"If your Champions don't come here and face me, then the end of your world will come sooner than anticipated!" Prisma bellowed at them all, challenging them directly. He was truly a menace, a threat unlike anything they've ever faced.
Speaking of Champions, only one of them was here right now. That being Lance, who was on his Dragonite. Scione backed away, seeing how all of this was backfiring, but it didn't make Prisma lose sight of her. "And as for you..." Prisma said to Scione who shrieked and ran. Prisma held his arm out, unleashing a wave of Aura that knocked her over. Scione groaned, tumbling on the ground as the Aura felt like a truck had hit her.
"I'll show them that no amount of Love can stop the inevitable. I'll take her love, and use it to fuel myself." Prisma would try and hit her once more, only for Lance to get involved. He came swooping in with his Dragonite, grabbing her before the next blast could knock her over. Scione gasped, holding onto him, while Prisma glared.
"Ah...Thank you..." Scione said with absolute relief.
"Lance! Come down here right now and face me!" Prisma shouted at him. "Where are the other Champions?! I'd expect them all to come here and face me as soon as possible. Unless they want their world to end so easily."
"You think they have something to prove by taking you on?" Lance retorted. "Right now, they're only thinking about keeping everyone safe and evacuating as many places as they can. They don't need to battle you to prove your strength, even if they eventually do."
"Hmph, cowards." Prisma scoffed. "If that's the case, then you'll be made an example of. You'll be the first of the champions I destroy, and the rest will follow suit. Ho-oh!"
Calling for Ho-oh, the Rainbow Pokemon took flight once more, cawing to the heavens and flapping its wings, which created a powerful gust of wind. With a loud squawk, Ho-Oh unleashed Sacred Fire, the attack enveloping its feathers in flames.
"Dragonite! Use Hyper Beam!" Lance ordered, pointing at the fiery Phoenix. The Dragon responded with a nod, charging the beam of light in its mouth and firing it at Ho-oh, the attacks colliding in the air. Dragonite struggled to keep the Hyper Beam stable, the flames pushing against its might. Ho-Oh, meanwhile, simply flew forward.
Dragonite was forced to evade the incoming attack, narrowly avoiding a direct hit. However, the impact of the Sacred Fire sent shockwaves rippling through the air, causing the earth to tremble and shake violently. Lance had to hold on tight to his dragon as Ho-oh suddenly bashed its body against Dragonite's, knocking it off balance.
Following up with that attack, Ho-oh then used Ancient Power, bringing down a barrage of fossilized rocks from above. Thankfully, Scione managed to play a part in this. Using her own magic, she held her hand out, forming a barrier of her own that would block the falling debris, shattering the fossils to pieces before they could harm her or Lance.
"Use Whirlwind!"
"Drago!" Dragonite had enough time to recharge, promptly blowing the rest of the fallen debris in the form of a massive whirlwind that would blow the debris back at Ho-Oh. The Rainbow Pokémon was soon bombarded by the rocks that fell from the sky, the impact causing some of the debris to break apart and scatter in the air.
Soon, a battle in the sky took place, with the two airborne beasts exchanging fierce attacks. Dragonite slammed its fist into Ho-Oh's head, making the bird cry out in pain. It was pushed back, but not deterred, and quickly regained its bearings. In retaliation, it charged at its opponent, using its talons to scratch and tear at its scales. Dragonite was able to dodge most of these strikes and retaliated with a Thunder Punch that sent sparks flying and caused the Rainbow Pokemon to fall from the sky.
The rainbow phoenix soon recovered and soared high into the sky. With its wings fully extended, it summoned a storm of intense magical fire that rained down upon its enemies below. Dragonite was unable to escape the onslaught and was engulfed in the raging flames that scorched the area.
To disperse the flames, Dragonite would use Whirlwind again, and the winds were strong enough to dispel the inferno and clear the field. Ho-oh then advanced with Sky Attack, attempting to crash into Dragonite with a powerful tackle, but the Dragon Pokemon was ready, and dodged the attack at the last moment, leaving the Rainbow Phoenix to recover. The two creatures continued to battle in the air, showing sparks.
"Yes, Lance! You're as strong as expected!" Prisma smiled. "Keep this up and don't disappoint me!"
"Lance...I'll try and get close to him to try and put him to sleep. I know a spell that can do just that." Scione quietly said to him. "It'll take a lot of focus, so I'll need you to cover for me. Can you do that?"
"Sure thing." He gave a confident smile. "You can count on me and my partner, right, Dragonite?" His partner nodded in agreement. But this meant that Lance would have to keep this battle going.
At the Crown Shrine, the dust began to settle, revealing the extent of the destruction caused by Spectrier's outburst. The ancient stone walls were cracked and crumbling, and chunks of rubble lay scattered across the floor. Celestia and the others were badly hurt by the Dragon Matter combusting in one place. All of their coats and manes were a mess now and their Pokemon were absolutely bewildered by it all. Celestia's hair and coat was a total mess, and her crown was completely ruined.
"Ugh..." Celestia groaned as even Passion, who was the healthiest among them all, was staggered and on one knee. "That was..."
"All that Dragon Matter from it...It's that potent...?!" Luna panted, her body was still shaking from the explosion.
"Spectrier..." Calyrex groaned, looking at this once-trusted steed.
"It's no good...we might pass out again...or worse..." Misty Fly said as her Wonderbolts outfit was now a mess. All the Wonderbolts had their outfits ruined thanks to this conflict.
"Can we not win...?" Rarity said with a lowered head. So far, after what Prisma had done to them and now this, they were getting steamrolled and overwhelmed. There was seemingly no way of winning and that worried them immensely. They didn't want to give in, but the odds were stacked against them.
Prisma was so aggressively powerful that anything related to him was just as powerful and overwhelming. Right now, they were all feeling disheartened and unsure of their chances to win. This was something none of them had ever experienced before and it was a scary thought to consider. The fear of the unknown was creeping into their minds and hearts, and it was a feeling that none of them were familiar with.
"Ash..." Fluttershy was beyond worried for Ash. All of them were. They just wanted their friend back and the safety of their universe to be ensured. That was all they wanted, and that was what they were fighting for. But at this point, nothing seemed to be going their way and they were beginning to lose hope.
Spectrier neighed as the Dragon Matter Storm above intensified, bringing down draconic lightning upon the Crown Tundra. No one would be safe from these attacks, and there was no telling when it would stop.
All the while, Prisma's laughter echoed across the world as he continued to ruin it. Mewtwo would rip apart everything in its path with its Psychic abilities, Reshiram and Zekrom scorched the earth with fire and lightning that manifested into plasma while Solgaleo unleashed the wrath of the Sun upon the land, burning and destroying everything in its wake.
If one were to look all of this from outer space, right now, the Earth looked like a planet that was about to explode. The Moon was already gone after being destroyed by Prisma and all of space was next as the Dragon Matter was expanding further and further, gradually enveloping the whole planet in its storm of matter and energy. The Fairy Matter, which was made to counter Dragon Matter, was even struggling to keep up with how fast it was growing.
It all seemed like the world would be swallowed up in a storm of destruction. To them, it looked like it all started with them meeting Ash and would end via the hands of Ash's incarnation.
But Celestia wasn't about to lose faith just yet.
"It isn't over yet..." The Sun Princess groaned after getting back up. She had to lean on her sister. "As long as there's a chance, we can win this. And I can see our chances." Her eyes glowed white.
"But how?" Rainbow Dash asked.
"All this Dragon Matter is what Spectrier is mainly using. It's been a destructive force each time we've encountered it, yes. But we can get past it. Passion can't, even though she's a Fairy-Type. The Dragon Matter seems to ignore conventional typing and instead does whatever it wants. We can't use that to our advantage, unfortunately. So, we have to find another way."
"Like what?" Amyethyst Star raised an eyebrow.
"We have to remove the Dragon Matter, somehow. We all aren't at our best, so it's the only way to stop Spectrier." Luna interjected. "If that thing can't fuel itself with the Dragon Matter, then it will have no power. We have to find a way to take that source of his power away from it and that's the only way we can defeat it."
"And I know just the way...we'll embrace the Dragon Matter as well!" Celestia declared, stunning everyone else.
"Embrace it?!" Spitfire exclaimed.
"Yes. But...while Spectrier has lost control of itself, we'll all have absolute control still. If we are to beat the Dragon Matter, we need to use it against it. But in a controlled environment. Like a game of chess, we will take the Dragon Matter's pieces and use them to our advantage. Only then can we beat it." Celestia said.
"Can we even pull it off...?" A pony asked.
"Right now, in this dire time, we need to believe that we can. And I'll ensure that everyone can use it without any massive drawbacks. Please. All of you." Celestia turned to face them all. "Trust in me. Trust in the fact that we can beat Prisma. We have no other choice."
They all agreed with Celestia. It was for the sake of their friend and their world after all. They had to truly put everything they had into all of this if they wanted to succeed against such an overwhelming force. Spectrier looked like it was ready to attack them once more, so there was no more time to stand around and talk.
"Alright. Here goes nothing." Celestia closed her eyes and her horn glowed bright. She had to concentrate and make sure that her spell worked. Even the smallest mistake could lead to disastrous results. She would be channeling her own magical essence through the group, using her powers to link everyone together and to allow them to draw on the energy of the Dragon Matter. However, the process was delicate, and the risk of failure was great. Still, they had to try, or they would have no chance of defeating the rampaging creature. With a deep breath, the Princess focused her entire being on the task at hand, determined to succeed despite the odds.
Everyone's Pokemon would scatter once Spectrier charged in as they purposefully approached the Dragon Matter around the area. They closed their eyes, jumping into the Dragon Matter willingly and embracing it.
And once inside, Celestia spread her magic and focused on her goal. She wanted to give everyone the ability to tap into the power of the Dragon Matter and to use it against Spectrier. But it would take immense effort and concentration on her part, and the outcome was uncertain.
"Ngh...!" Manipulating it was a struggle in its own right as Celestia felt her insides burn up. Her mane and tail burst into flames and the warmth of it all was spreading to the others. But Celestia knew that she couldn't pull this off on her own. And she wasn't alone.
Passion flew over to her, placing her hand on her best friend's back. She let the alicorn know that she was in this with her, no matter the cost. "Garde!" But Passion didn't just help share her own magic with Celestia. It was at this moment that the duo, in perfect sync, knew they had to merge. Celestia may not have the magical power she usually has at the moment, but Passion still had a lot to offer.
And because of this, they could initiate their fusion. They screamed in unison as their magics would merge as one. A glorious golden and white light formed in the middle, causing Spectrier to back away. And from it, Celestial-Gardevoir appeared.
And once she appeared, she the right amount of power to better control the Dragon Matter. She was the perfect mix of Celestia's experience and Gardevoir's raw magical talent. Both of their talents even.
"Take the Dragon Matter...!" Celestial-Gardevoir said while groaning. "And make it ours!" And after that, she would colour the Dragon Matter in her own way. She changed up the usual dark blue and purple colouring, making it much lighter, almost like a cyan as gold and white started appearing. Once her influence was established, everyone inside could feel a natural flow inside, any sort of pain suddenly being diminished.
"Ooh..." Rainbow Dash looked at her hooves, noticing that she could manipulate the Dragon Matter in her grasp. She was in the eye of the storm and she was in total control. Everyone else was the same, feeling the newfound power course through them.
"Do it! Now!" Celestial-Gardevoir ordered, wanting them all to do whatever they can. And so they did. Instead of turning them into the Dragons, the Dragon Matter under Celestial-Gardevoir's control allowed them to ignore conventional means.
"Go, Lopunny! Use High Jump Kick!"
"Lopun!" And Rarity's Lopunny would be the first to do just that. She leapt out of the Dragon Matter, going straight for Spectrier. Normally, this would do nothing since Spectrier is a Ghost-Type. Only Lopunny's Mega Evolved form would do anything thanks to the ability it comes with. But with Dragon Matter, that was a different story. The infused Dragon Matter in her body gave her attack enough oomph to harm the Swift Horse Pokemon, staggering it.
And soon after, every other Pokemon followed suit. They all appeared out of the Dragon Matter and came down at the Pokemon with a barrage of attacks. But they were attacks that could do anything they wanted. Spectrier tried fighting back by sending a violent stream of flames, and although the attacks connected, the Dragon Matter granted them an extra layer of protection.
With this, they start wailing on Spectrier. Prior to this, they could already coordinate well to try and put it on the backfoot, but now, they had a way to bypass its Dragon Matter outbursts. All they had to do was get it to a point where Calyrex could put the Reins of Unity on it once more. Golurk would go in for a grab like before, prompting Spectrier to use a barrage of shadows to try and fend it off.
However, a golden Dragon Matter by multiple Pokemon got in the way, blocking the shadows from striking. In fact, a majority of them were manipulating it, moving the Dragon Matter around with their limbs and bodies. While the Dragon Matter was chaotic and unpredictable, Celestial-Gardevoir made sure that they had complete and utter control over the Dragon Matter, allowing their actions to become their own.
"Up!" Celestial-Gardevoir saw Spectrier's attacks approaching from a certain distance as she made the Dragon Matter ascend along with all those in it and around it, evading the attack in the process. After which, the Dragon Matter would fall on Spectrier, crushing the Ghost-Type Pokemon under its weight. She could see that the Dragon Matter was clearly infusing itself onto her body. It was painful to say the least, and it was doing a lot of damage. This was the moment. "Now! Get the reins on!"
The Reins of Unity were tossed to Calyrex, and the King of Bountiful Harvests would fly towards his partner, who was thrashing on the ground. Calyrex had the reins in his hands and was prepared to put the reins on the rampaging Swift Horse Pokemon, but he was knocked back. The Dragon Matter was building around, and Calyrex still couldn't achieve his goal.
"Not enough? Then how about more?!" Celestial-Gardevoir purposefully burned through her own magic to make it easier for everyone. Darkrai appeared, holding the Dark Matter in his claws. And with it, he merged it with his Thunderbolt, creating a powerful attack that not only kept Spectrier from attacking, but would also paralyse the legendary Pokemon. From then, a multitude of attacks would follow.
Left and right, Spectrier was being absolutely bombarded with attacks that were meant to keep it steady and knock the Dragon Matter out of it. Dragon Matter-infused attacks came storming in. From Machamp dashing by and delivering a double-fisted blow to its face, Rainbow Dash's Luxray smashing into its body with Wild Charge, Audino using Hyper Beam and bypassing Spectrier's immunity, Spitfire's Froslass using Blizzard, having her ice match the heat itself, Soarin's Corviknight applying more pressure with Air Slash from above, Ampharos unleashing a Dragon Pulse from a distant which was boosted by the Dragon Matter and so on.
In fact, it seemed that the latter was more effecient. While it ignored conventional typings, the Dragon Matter seemed to be strong against itself, keeping the usual balance of Dragon-Types being super-effective against themselves. So the attacks involving the Dragon-Types were the most effective, and thus the ones that would cause the most harm to the rampaging Spectrier. Especially if used in tandem with the others.
But there was another factor to this.
Their incredible drive to win and save their friend. All of that coalesced into their tenacious acts. The absolute tenacity they displayed was not something that the Dragon Matter could easily overcome. The fierceness they had after gaining inspiration as akin to that of a Dragon's rage. And that fierce was connected to the bonds of friendship.
"Hm!" Darkrai flew in, grabbing onto Spectrier's face, halting it from doing anything else. Darkrai's grip was potent, especially since he summoned tendrils of darkness to aid him. "Now, Calyrex!" He cried out to him.
"Right! Thank you, my friends!" Calyrex smiled as he approached Spectrier once more. The Reins of Unity were in hand. And with that, he landed on Spectrier's back once more, putting the reins of it .Spectrier was thrashing about once more, trying to fight off its rider, but Calyrex held firm. Even as the Dragon Matter was getting to him, he was able to hold on tightly. His bond with his steed was strong, and with the Reins of Unity, he could use that to bring him back. And the Dragon Matter, which was chaotic in nature, would not allow Spectrier to throw Calyrex off. At least not in its current state.
Celestial-Gardevoir, who was starting to run on fumes, was watching closely. She could see the Dragon Matter receding, returning to its normal colour and fading away from its hosts. So, in one final attempt, she had everyone used the most of what they had left to try and force the Dragon Matter out of Spectrier.
Everyone Pokemon would gather around Spectrier, some of them pushing their bodies against it, others using attacks. But the goal was simple, have the Dragon Matter be forced out of the Swift Horse Pokemon, ensuring that it would not take hold of it again. The Dragon Matter was starting to build around the Pokemon, and with that, Celestial-Gardevoir let go. Everyone was ready to release their last bits of energy on the Pokemon, and with that, a blinding, golden light would surround the Pokemon. The combined power of the Pokemon, the Dragon Matter and the newly forged bonds of friendship was able to push the corrupted matter out of its host.
All the while, Calyrex finally got his grip. And once he got his hold on Spectrier, his eyes would flash as everyone was launched back. But this time, they weren't launched by the Dragon Matter. Instead, they were launched by the power that came from both Calyrex and Spectrier in a glorious light. Once that was done, the two of them would descend, showing that the once corrupted Legendary Pokemon was back to normal. The Swift Horse Pokemon would land on the ground, with its rider on its back.
Everyone groaned after having their bodies utilize Dragon Matter for a limit time and they all looked up to see Calyrex, finally at his peak.
Shadow-Rider Calyrex is what he can be known as.
Celestial-Gardevoir defused, prompting the Princess and the Pokemon to look in awe at their accomplishment. They saved Calyrex's partner and were able to reunite the duo. They were back to their old selves. Or rather, the King of Bountiful Harvest and the Swift Horse Pokemon were together.
"Woah..." Rainbow Dash looked on in awe.
"Thank you, my friends." Calyrex called out to the group. He was grateful to all of them. Finally, at last. Calyrex was at full power. With Spectrier, his rightful partner, and his best friend, he was at his peak, ready to show his strength to the world.
No longer was he weakened. And just by looking at him, they could all feel the power coming from him. Now that they've repaid him, it was time for him to repay them. And in the best way possible.
"Now then...as promised, to show my absolute gratitude, I will save your friends."
As the journey continues.
