The Will to Erase

Galar. The Crown Tundra. The Crown Shrine. Late Afternoon.

After successfully subduing Spectrier and expelling the Dragon Matter from its body, it allowed Calyrex to ride his trusty steed once more, emerging as Shadow Rider Calyrex.

And now that he was back to how he was, he was ready to keep his promise and bring back Ash and Twilight Sparkle to them all. And that was something of great relief. Calyrex himself confirmed he had the power to solve all of this. And now, that same power had fully returned to him.

"Then can you help our friends?" Fluttershy asked. "Can you bring them back?"

Calyrex nodded. "Yes. You have been good to me, and I shall uphold my end of the promise. I will rescue your friends from their predicament. Take me to them and I can get it done."

"Oh, thank you...thank you so much...!" Fluttershy lowered her head and almost fell over after hearing that. She and everyone else loved the sound of that. And there wasn't even a hint of doubt in what Calyrex said. He had the power to do so.

"First. To ensure you are all prepared for the worst. Allow me to heal you." Calyrex held his arm out, looking at all of them. Everyone was exhausted, weary, and injured from their battle. Not only that, their bodies were exhausted from using the Dragon Matter. It took a toll on them. But that was something that could be fixed. And in a display of his newfound might, the King of Bountiful Harvests unleashed a mighty healing force. A force that not only cured his allies, but also healed their wounds. And with that, their stamina and their strength were restored, allowing them to stand tall and proud. In fact, they felt better than ever, and their bodies were free from any exhaustion from using the Dragon Matter. This showed just how powerful the King of Bountiful Harvest was, and it was a beautiful sight to behold. With that, Celestial-Gardevoir would form once more, and she would be at full strength.

"Hahaha! That's what we're talking about!" Rainbow Dash celebrated. "Ah, I feel good as new...!"

"Same..." Spitfire let out a relieved sigh.

"It is a pleasure to know that." Calyrex replied. "Now then. Take me to your friends and I can start saving them. The sooner we can, the better. I am sure they are in pain right now."

"Of course. But if we're going to get to them both, most likely, they'll be in the same area as each other instead of a part. Twilight Luminaria will definitely got to Prisma himself." Celestia said. "And that's what we'll take advantage of. Having the both of them in one spot makes it easier for us to take care of things."

"And we know just how to find them." Luna would take out her Harmony Badge, it being the answer to that. Thanks to the badge, a gateway can easily be summoned. But another dandy feature of this multi-purpose badge was having it resonate with other badges.

Activating the badge, he would use its many properties to try and track down Ash and Twilight's Harmony Badges, believing they should still have them even as their incarnations. If they didn't, well, that could be an issue. Thankfully, their efforts would work, as their badges were resonating and giving a location of the current whereabouts of the duo.

"Hmm...It's not Ash or Twilight Sparkle's badges I'm sensing...but its who is the closest to them." Luna instead started sensing the badge of another. It seems to be Lance that is the closest to Prisma.

"Then Prisma's the only one we can head to." said Rarity.

"Wait." However, Calyrex had something to say. Now that he was at full power, looking into the past, present and future was elevated to him. He closed his eyes, trying to see what he could gather. He wanted to see what Twilight Luminaria had been up to in the past and what would happen in the future. And when he did, he saw Twilight Luminaria doing something of significance that warranted Calyrex to view it.

He saw her taking a huge chunk of the Arcane Sea's Rift Energy, just to create something that would allow her to defeat Prisma. And when viewing that, she looked to the future, seeing where she would end up. Lo and behold, she saw the Queen appearing in the same location as Prisma.

"Right now, she is approaching Prisma. I am not sure how near or far she is from him, but the point is, she is heading straight to him. My friends. How do you wish to approach this?" Calyrex asked them all. And to them, there was only one way they decided on encountering them both. And the smiles on their faces said it all.

Johto.

Speaking of Prisma, his clash with Lance continued as Dragonite and Ho-oh were still seen in the air, going at it. Prisma was proud that Lance could do this well against him, lasting for so long in a heated battle.

"Yes...If you're this strong, then the other Champions won't disappoint. I expect them not to." Prisma cackled as his Dragon Matter was still pushing back against the Magic of Love. "But let's ensure I do meet up with them!" Just then, Prisma had his Dragon Matter fly directly at Lance who was still on Dragonite's back.

Lance gasped as Dragonite had to zip back, avoiding both the Dragon Matter and Ho-oh's Ancient Power. Both were hard to dodge, and the latter had a bigger range to cover, making it harder to avoid. But it didn't look like Prisma was trying to hit Lance. Instead, he was trying to do something else that Lance noticed.

"What's he up to?" Lance narrowed his eyes as Dragonite kept evading while Scione kept holding on tightly to him. Then, his suspicions were confirmed when the Dragon Matter attempted to swipe something off him. His Harmony Badge. Quickly, Dragonite slapped the matter away, keeping his badge. Prisma was trying to steal his badge for one reason. To reach the other Champions.

After all, having Ash's memories, he knew which Trainers had Harmony Badges on them, and he tried to take the one Lance had. The Champion wouldn't dare let that happen. The Dragon Matter started chasing after him in an effort to take his badge from him.

Now Dragonite had to worry about the frantically moving Dragon Matter and Ho-oh at the same time. Both were attacking him in an effort to get his badge from him. This left him at a bit of a disadvantage. His opponent was able to attack him twice. As a result of the sudden increase in attacks, Dragonite had to focus on dodging. Scione was worried that the Dragon Matter was going to get their badge, leaving them in an awful predicament.

"Drago!" But eventually, Dragonite was struck, square in the chest by the Dragon Matter. Luckily, the impact wasn't enough to break him, allowing him to continue fighting. Still, he was hurt, and was pushed back further from the strike, nearly causing him to drop the two riders. While his grip was tight, the two nearly slipped out of his hands, hanging on to dear life. For Lance, he had to hold on to Scione as she was on the verge of slipping out of his hand.

"Hold on! I've got you covered, Dragonite!" Scione exclaimed, taking out a Poke Ball to try and assist Dragonite. "Go, Grimmsnarl!" As the Poke Ball flew out, her Grimmsnarl emerged.

"Grimmsnarl!"

"Use Spirit Break to weaken that Ho-oh!" Scione commanded.

"Grimm!" Grimmsnarl would raise his arm and would send a powerful, dark energy from it, aimed at Ho-oh. Once that came in contact, it would severely lower its strength, making its attacks less potent and damaging. But Ho-oh managed to burn away at the energy before it could touch it, leaving itself unaffected, and thus, unharmed. The Dragon Matter then came blazing by, tackling Grimmsnarl. "S-Snarl!" He was taken out and was spiraling to the ground. Scione's eyes went wide, calling him back to the ball. At least it was safe, and hopefully not knocked out.

Dragonite had to keep playing defensively now, dodging every attack thrown at him. It was becoming a nuisance that he couldn't get a good shot at Ho-oh. All the Legendary Bird did was fire a barrage of Ancient Power at him, forcing him to evade each and every one. He was getting frustrated that the matter was assisting his enemy, and was the primary reason for that. He had to destroy that!

"Dragonite, use Hyper Beam on the matter!" Lance called out. Dragonite's mouth opened up and unleashed a powerful beam of light at the Dragon Matter. This was his strongest move, and his most destructive. Upon being fired, the beam collided with the matter and was exploding at first.

However, Prisma used this to his advantage. He had the Dragon Matter transform the smoke itself into more of its form. And from it, a tiny by swift bit of Dragon Matter snuck in, striking Dragonite by the side of its arm while also managing to target Lance's Harmony Badge. With that, it was snatched from him, and the matter quickly retreated from him.

"Wha?!" Lance gasped as the tiny bit of Dragon Matter that got on Dragonite would suddenly enlarge and combust on him, blasting him from behind. The Kanto-Johto Champion and his Dragonite were blown to the ground along with Scione. They all were crashed down, and Lance's Harmony Badge was no longer on his person.

The matter quickly returned to its master, bringing him the badge. He caught it in his hand and observed the item. "If the Champions won't come to me...I'll force them to do so! Or maybe I'll come to them. Whichever one it ends up being...let's see!" Prisma grinned, instantly harnessing the power of the Harmony Badge, would tap into its most useful feature which was the power to open gateways. But the way Prisma went about opening the gateways was without a doubt on the more destructive side.

When clutching the Harmony Badge, the Rift Energy within started flowing out, creating a huge discharge that tore apart space around him. A gateway was created, and was slowly expanding, tearing apart the forest that was below him. He was laughing at the size of the portal that was being created. It was just like the Arcane Sea in terms of its massive size. And it was growing at an alarming rate.

"Come on, come on!" Prisma taunted. "I've been waiting to face you all!" His call would be heard as Lance looked up in awe at the absolute size of this gateway. It was, without a doubt, the largest gateway ever seen.

But it wasn't just this massive gateway alone. Prisma managed to make more.

Right now, Cynthia was in Unova with Iris, helping others get to safety. The location in question was Undella Town and not only that, Iris and Cynthia were already a part of the Magic of Love, allowing Chrysalis to use their own love to fuel the powerful spell. Right now, they were guiding people to a gateway they themselves opened up to take them somerwhere safe.

Eventually, a big boom was heard, and the two trainers turned their heads to see a giant tear in reality, and out of that, a massive amount of Dragon Matter would emerge and pour itself onto the town.

"What is that?!" Iris shrieked before managing to recognize the energy after a few seconds. Prisma's laughter was heard as the Dragon Matter started razing everything to the ground, scaring everyone in its wake. And from one of the portals, Prisma's hand would suddenly appear, but super-sized and clearly not his physical hand, rather a creation from the Dragon Matter. He was reaching his hand in, searching for the Champions.

"I sense you...Come here!" Prisma yelled as he swung his massive arm, instantly obliterating many of the vacation homes here. Many people were still there, and were caught in the destruction. Cynthia's own vacation home would be wiped out.

After destroying it, Prisma then moved his arm further, going straight for the Champion duo, ready to grab them. But they were prepared for any sudden attacks. As were their Pokemon.

"Gar!"

"Hax!" Garchomp and Haxorus ran forward in front of their trainers, grabbing the massive arm of Prisma and halting its movements. However, the sheer size and power of the arm was more than they expected, and both of their arms were being pushed back. "X-Xorus...!

"Gar...!"

But together, the two managed to push the arm to the side, sending it flying through some palm trees. In an instant, the arm would reposition itself, facing the Dragons and their Trainers.

"There you are." Prisma spoke as he suddenly made the gateway gain a gravitational pull. Iris screamed as Cynthia held onto her. Both their Dragons held on, trying to resist the sudden suction.

Alas, they would be pulled in regardless. Their forms were sucked in and they vanished into the vortex. And on the other side, Prisma had already found Steven, who was indoors somewhere else in Hoenn, and was using another giant arm to rip apart the building bit by it. All the employees inside who were already seen leaving by gateway would run for their lives, screaming at the top of their lungs, and running for cover.

"Meta!" Metagross pushed the arm away with Meteor Mash, crashing right into it. But the arm would keep coming, pushing against him. Despite its best efforts, Metagross was unable to stop the momentum of the arm, and the whole building would end up falling, collapsing on the Champion, almost trapping him under debris if Metagross didn't shield his body. From that, the matter grabbed him and pulled him out, dragging him into the portal. "Steven Stone, you're coming with me!" Prisma announced, pulling the Champion from the rubble, and into his presence, where the three were dragged in and met him.

Prisma laughed as he felt his grip on them while also continuing to fight back against the Magic of Love. In fact, he was fighting the Magic of Love at a stalemate.

"W-Why is he...?" But Scione couldn't understand why he would want the Champions. They didn't benefit his goal at all.

"It's because of his drive to battle. I don't know the other counterparts, but since they're like Ash, I can strongly imagine that they share his excitement for battle." Lance groaned while on one knee. "And from what I can see, Prisma has a warped version of that same excitement, but his is much more violent."

And he was right on the mark. Even when wanting to destroy everything, Prisma craved a battle against those who stood at the top. The Elite Four and Champions. He sought to defeat the very best of the best. Just like how Ash did. Except his intentions were the exact opposite of his. He wanted to beat the champions to prove his might, to show the universe that he was the most powerful trainer and that no one, even those of great power, can hope to stop him.

Cynthia, Iris and Steven were seen appearing here, within the clutches of the Dragon Matter as they struggled to escape. "L-Let me go!" Iris screamed as she tried biting the Dragon Matter, only to fail since it was simply energy in a semi-solid state.

"Ash...Prisma...!!" Cynthia groaned, looking directly at him. "How could this have happened?"

"There you are! But I'm missing two more! You two will do just fine for now! To think you've been exempt from battling me, even though you see everything coming to an end!" Prisma laughed at them. "How foolish! Unless you think the absence of everyone will give you more room to battle, then perhaps I misjudged you."

"You let us go and get out of my friend!" Iris yelled at him. "Ash, snap out of it, please!"

"It's no use, Iris." Cynthia shook her head. "Our words just won't reach him."

"But..."

"We'll have to count on Queen Chrysalis's magic to find a vulnerable spot and reach for Ash instead." Cynthia suggested. She knew full well that nothing would work on him in this current state, and that the Magic of Love was their best bet in getting him to snap out of it and regain control. "Until then..." She turned to Lance and Scione. "We'll need to hold off until then."

"I expect you to hold off for a long time indeed." Prisma replied. "Of course, you'll also have to worry about me passively destroying your world. As we speak, every region is being ripped apart by my Pokemon. And each second, the universe is being eroded. If you think you can stop me, then show me. Perhaps you might accomplish something. Maybe."

"If you want everything destroyed, why decide to challenge us?" Cynthia asked.

"Why? I'll admit...compared to my universe, you all are interesting...Everyone here is. I can safely say that you all seem to be better trainers than those in my universe, reincarnations or not. Do you honestly think I'd miss out on a chance to test it out? I've decided that I will have fun in doing so, and I won't wait until I've finished destroying this place. So, shall we begin?"

"You're such a kid for that! Just destroy everything if that's what you want!" Iris groaned before sticking her tongue out at Prisma.

"Oh, that's exactly what I'll do." Prisma said with an eerie smile while still holding them.

"No. You won't." Appearing here was someone of great significance. A magical light would descend upon the area, forcing everyone to look up. The light broke through the dark clouds and even broke away at some of the Dragon Matter, destroying it. Prisma knew exactly who this was and she was making quite the grand entrance.

Her magic continued to push away at all things Dragon Matter, spreading far and wide in seconds while illuminating the land with a sparkling magic along with Fairy Matter.

From the light, Twilight Luminaria had appeared. She was finally here. "I've had enough of this, Prisma. Your rampage is over." She told him, her voice echoing across the entire continent.

"Twilight. There you are. Come to lose?" Prisma said, looking up at the alicorn. "I was waiting for you to show up, after I easily obliterated your army earlier."

"You've only dealt with a fraction of my army. The rest of Unilight is still present and ready to put a stop to you. And this won't be repeat of last time. I've don everything I can to ensure that you never return and leave existence, once and for all. Everything else will live on, but you."

"Hah? You still plan on taking my soul and remaking it into a new being? And what makes you think I won't manage to regain memories o my past existence?" Prisma pointed up at her, having the Dragon Matter drop Cynthia, Iris and Steven to the ground. His eyes were locked onto his biggest target. "Believe me! I'll remember! And can you really give this new being a chance?"

"I'm willing to. But I'd never give someone like you a chance. It's a shame what happened to you." Twilight Luminaria shook her head. "But I have the means of victory. Right here." She would then unveil what she managed to create from the Arcane Sea. The item that she believed would grant her victory.

It was the orb she created. One that had a disgusting amount of Rift Energy in it. But without any drawbacks. Twilight Luminaria was the only pony capable of doing so without being a Rift Pony herself, making an item that would grant her tremendous power that the Rift can pull off. And upon seeing it, Prisma narrowed his eyes, actually taking it seriously upon first glance, seeing its cosmic glow and its pulsating aura. He was able to identify the energy, and the way he stared at it was clear evidence that he was impressed.

"That orb..."

"Newly created, yes. I have no name for it. But after it's usage, I'll know what to call it. One thing you can know about it for sure is that it is fully intended on destroying you. Normally, no one outside of the Rift's Creations can harness the full power of the Rift without any drawbacks. But I've managed it. And when making it, I had only one thing in mind. Give me the power to unmake another from existence."

"!!" The Champions and Scione all gasped upon hearing that.

"Not many know this, but the Rift actually doesn't have the power to erase others from existence as easily as it would like. It has the power to create and destroy. But not destroy one to the highest known level. This is because the Rift is at the end day, built upon two humans who ended up in an accident. And because of that, all things about the Rift are bound by the mind. Pure imagination. Thus, destroying someone requires competing against their very will itself, something that the Rift cannot do. Because of the human minds that the Rift is built on, it has no will of its own, and cannot simply will its opponent out of existing." Twilight explained.

"So that's why the Rift could never erase anyone that was a threat to it..." Cynthia realized as it was all making sense now.

"However, I have the power to. By using the same power, and putting my willpower into the creation, I have a guaranteed success at making a weapon that'll remove your existence from this world, and every other parallel world. Meaning that not even a reincarnation of yours will exist anywhere. Only the one in front of me." She smiled, feeling confident. "I have the will to make it happen. Because my will to win is enough to contend with yours."

"You really think so? Then prove it!" Prisma encouraged it. He didn't sound mad at all, or nervous. In fact, he was more interested in the idea of a battle where he knows his enemy can truly stop him. "If you can!"

"Watch." Twilight Luminaria was about to do just that. As she raised the orb high, it already resonated with her mind, her body, and her magic. All she had in her mind was victory and nothing else. As long as she looked towards victory, she put all of her will into the orb. That was all that mattered.

And it showed just how much her will wanted Prisma gone. The Orb would paint the skies in a cosmic texture of stars and space, and the orb's energy would unleash to a massive scale. Twilight Luminaria's eyes would glow in response while looking directly at Prisma, every ounce of her will aimed at him. Her wings would also expand and become larger, made of the same cosmic energy. An aura of the same type would engulf her and her horn, and she would raise it at the trainer.

"!!!" And right where he stood, Prisma could feel it. A sudden shock unlike any other, that struck him from afar. This feeling was unlike any other. A feeling that could only be described as empty yet heavy at the same time. He clutched his chest as he could feel his very being shaking, instantly affected by Twilight Luminaria's will, which could potentially overcome his.

"This feeling...!" Prisma groaned as cosmic particles would flowing out of him, his body flickering in and out of reality. At that moment, everyone was stunned. Even the Champions. Twilight Luminaria's item was working.

"As long as I have the will to see you gone...this orb will grant me my wish! And I wish you gone, Prisma!" Twilight Luminaria's voice echoed as she kept at it, forcing more onto Prisma.

"Ngh...You said you have the will to see me gone? You think your will is better than mine? Nonsense!" Even in the midst of being erased from existence, Prisma was still smirking and objecting to it. "I'll prove you wrong without a doubt...My will to see all things end...will match yours!"

And thus, a contest had begun. The will to destroy everything and the will destroy Prisma would go against each other, forcing the orb to resonate. To the shock of Twilight Luminaria, when she looked at the orb, she saw how it was actually responding to Prisma too, catching her off guard. It was mindblowing to her. Prisma was actually resisting her will, letting the orb respond to him as well.

Alas, this ultimate power she created could not grant her an easy win. It was a victory that she had to use every bit of her will to achieve.

As the journey continues.
