Prisma vs Leon

Previous ChapterNext Chapter

Sinnoh. Jubilife City. Nightfall.

Leon had arrived.

He was here to face Prisma and to buy time. After helping others get to safety, the World Champion came face to face with the Pokemon Master here in Jubilife City.

"Buy time? Hm. That's boring. I'd rather you just try and defeat me!" Prisma said with a maniacal expression on his face. Leon remained unfazed, summoning his Mr. Rime to the battlefield, who was dancing a little.

"Mr Rime!"

"Buying time is pointless! I'll battle like I truly mean it! And I promise you, I do!" Prisma yelled before having his Crawdaunt appear right next to him. The last one he would send out, in fact. "Crawdaunt! Show your fury!"

"Hey. Could you all head over and see if everyone else is okay?" Leon said to Cynthia and the others, his eyes never leaving Prisma, who was staring back at him with a menacing look.

"We'll see. Will you be fine on your own, Leon?" Cynthia asked. "We could help you out still."

"Nah. Because I already know that Prisma wants this." Leon narrowed his eyes.

"What?" Steven said in confusion.

"I know that very well. Even though you're not Ash...you've still kept some of his tendencies. After all, you're itching to battle me." Leon pointed out. Prisma didn't deny that, only smirking at the prospect of him seeing through him. "I know exactly how to handle you. And it'll only take me to do so."

"Hah. So you say. Let's see if you truly can." Prisma laughed as Cynthia and the others went off.

"Be careful, Mr. Leon." Iris told the other champion. She took knew how Ash was and figured that Prisma had that same drive for battling. Even though Iris herself couldn't entertain it, she could count on Leon to do so. Then they were gone, and Leon and Prisma were left alone.

"You're the Strongest, right? Currently anyways. I was always the Strongest, no matter how many times my universe was reset. Let's see if you can match that kind of experience! Crawdaunt! Use Aqua Jet!" Crawdaunt was immediately engulfed in water and went after Mr. Rime. "Now, Double Team!" As Crawdaunt moved towards Mr. Rime, he became faster, turning into a blur that made multiple copies of itself, all moving to strike. Leon didn't seem phased at that. He simply smiled.

"Mr. Rime! Use Teeter Dance!"

"Ri-Rime!" With a spin of his stick, Mr. Rime started dancing on the spot. Soon, the dance would spread to the surrounding Crawdaunts, including the real one. They were confused, and would begin attacking each other, as the attacks from all of the illusionary ones did nothing, and the damage from the original Crawdaunt would add up. Eventually, the clones vanished and the real Crawdaunt was spinning in place, holding its head from the pain and the confusion.

"And now, Freeze Dry!"

"Mr. Rime!" Mr. Rime would then flip in the air a few times, pointing his cane right at the real Crawdaunt. A blast of cold, freezing air would hit the Water Type. In a matter of moments, the Pokemon was frozen solid. And, as an Ice type move used on a Water Type, it was super effective without a doubt, but not fully enough to stop Crawdaunt, who went flying back after the ice would shatter.

"Hooh..." Prisma smiled before giving the next order. "Crunch!"

"Daunt! Craw!" Crawdaunt retaliated with a powerful Crunch. Its pincers opened and closed and it charged right at the Psychic and Ice Type, moving at high speeds. Mr. Rime swayed his body to the side via dancing, avoiding the charge from Crawdaunt. However, the Rogue Pokemon would swivel, holding his claws out as the dark energy from hem would grow, manifesting a large Energy Jaw. Crawdaunt snapped the jaws at him.

The Comedian Pokemon found himself caught by the jaws as they clamped down on him, unleashing a dark explosion. Mr. Rime bounced across the ground before managing to recover by getting back up swiftly.

"Guillotine!"

"Crawdaunt!" Crawdaunt moved in for the decisive blow. If this hit, the match was over and the result would be instant. But, at the last second, Leon called on another move. Just one, to make sure that things would end well for him, and that Prisma would have to use a stronger Pokemon to get past him. A smile crossed the man's face.

"Expanding Force!"

"Wha..?" Before the pincer could slam down on the unsuspecting Mr. Rime, the Psychic Type Pokemon unleashed a burst of psychic power, which would expand in front of him. It grew larger and larger, becoming a massive wall of force. It didn't affect Crawdaunt obviously, but it did affect the ground. Mr. Rime used the power of this move to mess with the earth itself. Crawdaunt was unable to steady itself from the sudden shaking as he was launched back by the unstable ground, allowing Mr. Rime to gain some distance.

"Return, Mr. Rime!" Instead of continuing the attack, Leon was about to make a quick swap. As the Psychokinesis faded, Mr. Rime was sent back to his ball, and in his place came a rabbit-like Pokemon. "And you're up! Cinderace!"

"Cinderace!"

"Not bad at all." Prisma had to give his compliments. Leon was quick on his feet and was able to read the situation well.

"Cinderace! Use High Jump Kick!"

"Cinder!" The Striker Pokemon advanced, approaching the Rogue Pokemon at blinding speed. Crawdaunt's vision was soon filled by the sight of a flaming foot that was aiming right for him. At the last moment, the claw of the Crawdaunt was able to snatch the foot, and would bring it down, smashing the Fire Type into the dirt. There was a recoil to the attack, which hurt Cinderace greatly. It was a risky move to use in the first place, but that's what the next part was for. "Use Sludge Wave!"

"Dawnt!" Crawdaunt's claw glowed purple as a large blob of poison was created in its hand. That blob soon turned into a massive wave of poisonous material, coming down on the Cinderace. Right before the Poison could reach it, Cinderace was able to roll away, performing a backflip as the poisonous wave approached.

"Iron Head!"

"Ace!" Cinderace came to a halt, hardening his head. But instead of immediately rushing ahead, the Striker Pokemon stood there, letting the poison come to him as he smiled. Suddenly, as soon as the poison reached him, he simply stood there, taking it all in. He didn't suffer from any damage at all.

"...Libero." Prisma already knew why this was the case as Cinderace finally approached Crawdaunt. Moving at high speeds, he would bash his head into Crawdaunt's face, causing the Water and Dark Type to stumble backwards.

"High-Jump Kick!"

"Cinderace!" When he was in the clear, Cinderace followed up with vicious kick to the chest of Crawdaunt, causing the Rogue Pokemon to fly back. And yet, Crawdaunt was still standing.

"I gotta say. Your Pokemon can take a hit, that's for sure." Leon added.

"Naturally. Just like how I've been through 88.8 Billions lives, their battle skills are hardened to the same amount. They can take punishments unlike any other!" Prisma shouted. It also explained why not a single one of his Pokemon has fainted during this entire attack he's launched. They were all intensely durable.

"But, even the strongest of metal can bend. All that's needed is the right tool. Scorching Sands!" Cinderace leapt into the air and landed behind Crawdaunt. Slamming his foot down, the ground would be covered in hot sand, which began to rise around the water Pokemon.

"Let's make this more fun, Leon! I want to see your all!" Prisma laughed as his Dragon Matter would react to his laughter. Just then, Crawdaunt looked to the side, going straight for the Dragon Matter. He would clamp down on it, harnessing energy within.

Crawdaunt could easily do so since it was his Trainer's Energy. And by harnessing it, he would transform his claws. Leon watched as Crawdaunt's already powerful claws undertook a change, turning black and shiny, looking almost like obsidian. His pincers opened and closed, the sound echoing throughout the area.

"My Pokemon have a ton of experience with Dragon Matter and can do whatever they want with it...One of wwhich...is unleashing a move unique to them! Crawdaunt! Dragon Overshower!"

"Craaaaawwww!" Using a one-of-a-kind move, the Rogue Pokemon would unleash a torrent of dark, draconic water. The water would melt away the sands that were once scalding him, and would continue to press on. Cinderace put his arms up to block as he was consumed in the waters, unable to escape. Leon put his arms as well as the Draconic Waters would flood the streets of Jubilife City, being unleashed everywhere.

Twilight Luminaria would be caught up in it even in her weakened state, screaming as the water carried her off. Unilight Forces who were fleeing would find themselves trapped in the deluge of dragon water.

"Ngh...!" Just then, Leon would take out his Harmony Badge, deciding to use it. Now was a good time to use the badge. By holding it out, he mainly harnessed the poewr of the Sea Temple and some Infinity Energy to try and stop this. The badge would glow in a rainbow light and would form a barrier of sorts that would prevent the water from getting to him and to the rest of the people nearby.

Due to this reaction, the speed at which the Dragon Overshower carried them all increased, but Leon managed to shield them all from absolute harm as their bodies were starting to leave Jubilife, moving out of the city and onto the plains outside. They were in a current that couldn't be stopped, speeding through the lands at insane speeds.

Eventually, with Leon using a third energy from the badge, that being some Equestrian Magic, he was able to disperse the water, bringing it to a halt. The group had all been brought near a certain area that was close to Jubilife and right behind them.

That being Alamos Town. The center of the Space-Time Towers.

"Boy, that was one heck of an attack." Leon said as the water cleared away and everyone was left drenched. "I didn't know the Dragon Matter could be used to create new moves."

"Naturally. It's my creation after all. It is my will in a way. And as we battle, at this very moment, my Dragon Matter and my Pokemon are all destroying the world!" Prisma spread his arms wide. He was right. Sure, Leon was battling him here, but everywhere else was still being obliterated by Prisma's Dragon Matter and his Pokemon.

Whether it was Mewtwo grabbing multiple massive buildings with its mind, or Reshiram and Zekrom scorching the land with Fire and Lightning, Prisma was getting closer and closer to his goal. And speaking of Reshiram and Zekrom, due to them hitting the world with concentrated plasma, the effects it brought were absolutely disastrous. Not just for one region, but everywhere else.

In the skies above Galar, the clouds were becoming extremely thick as the sky itself started to change colors, from blue to orange. In Kalos, the wind would start to pick up, blowing harder and harder, while in the oceans of the Orange Islands, the seas would begin to rage, waves forming that would be 50 feet tall, the islands were flooding and the weather was going crazy. Even in Kanto, a storm was beginning to brew, lightning was crashing and thunder rumbled. Everywhere else, the results were the same. The world was in a state of turmoil, and not the good kind. The chaos that was being unleashed was overwhelming, and there was no end in sight.

All thanks to the Plasma that Reshiram and Zekrom had created.

By now, all regions in the world were devastated and barely recognizable. Most buildings were either gone or destroyed, and the natural landscapes of the world were twisted and mangled beyond recognition. There was no telling where one area ended and another began. Entire cities and towns had been wiped away, and the few that remained were barely standing.

But it went beyond this. Due to the level of destruction, the energy from the Dragon Matter was also reaching into Outer Space. After all, Prisma aimed to destroy the Universe. Not just the world. Already the Moon was gone and soon other planets would follow suit. Every star, galaxy and cosmic body out there would be targeted by him. Whether directly or passively, he'd win.

"So...What was that about buying time? If anything, that's pointless. I have all the time I need." He referred to Dialga, pointing up at his Pokemon who was hovering there. Indeed, Prisma didn't need to worry about time in the slightest with Dialga by his side. He was the Master of Time. And if anything were to go wrong, he'd fix it in an instant. As such, Dialga could ensure that nothing could ever threaten him or his goals. With the ability to control and manipulate the flow of time, Dialga could rewind any mistakes, accelerate or slow down events, and even pause the passage of time altogether.

Prisma had full advantage. Twilight Luminaria, who was badly injured, looked up at Dialga simply hovering there, realizing just how outclassed she was. She couldn't understand it. In her previous life, she managed to battle Prisma at a standstill. Even though Prisma was about to win, she at least ensured that he wouldn't destroy everything. But now, she was completely outmatched.

"But...that won't stop me from savouring this battle from start to finish! Use Dragon Overshower!"

"Craw...!" Crawdaunt charged another one up. But this time, Leon was ready.

"High Jump Kick! Shut it tight!"

"Cinder!" In advance, Cinderace rushed in at high speeds, approaching Crawdaunt while he was charging up the Dragon Overshower. And right as he was about to fire, Cinderace, with all of his might, slammed the top part of Crawdaunt's claw, forcing it to close. This caused the water that was fired to be redirected, making it explode in a shower of sparks, the pressure of the blast being enough to hurt both Pokemon, especially Crawdaunt since it was coming from the inside.

They were both engulfed by the outburst of Dragon Matter, sending a strong shockwave across the area. And from it, Cinderace went tumbling and rolling on the ground before landing on his chest, while Crawdaunt fell backwards on his. Cinderace had fainted. But to even the surprise of Prisma and especially Twilight Luminaria, Crawdaunt had also fainted.

Prisma ended up losing one of his Pokemon, leaving him a bit stunned. "He actually beat one of Prisma's Pokemon..." Twilight Luminaria said to herself. Considering how powerful each of his Pokemon were and the fact they were battle-hardened in every category, she was shocked to see that.

Prisma took it all in while Leon called back his Cinderace. And upon taking it in, that smile on his face grew wider, with a hint of excitement. "...Interesting." He muttered. Then, he chuckled, finding this all amusing. "Yes! That's what I like to see! You're not a dissapointment so far, Leon!" An excited Prisma pointed at him. "I knew you'd be a good opponent. Let's keep going, I'm having a blast!"

"I'm sure you are." Leon said.

"Let's make this battle even more exciting!" By slamming his hand on the ground, he called for another one of his Pokemon. Appearing promptly to his side was his Infernape.

"Infernape!"

"I need your help! Dragapult!" Leon threw a Poke Ball forward, bringing forth his Dragapult. Once again, the two Pokemon stared at each other.

"If I didn't know any better...I'd say it looks like Prisma's enjoying himself..." Twilight Luminaria observed Prisma closely. The maniacal glee that was present on his face was a stark contrast to the deadly battle that was currently underway. His eyes shone with a mix of amusement and anticipation. Even his pose seemed to exude a sense of excitement, a readiness to engage in combat.

"But why...And what are these voices in my head...?" At the same time, Twilight Luminaria felt something in her head. Faint voices. Very faint voices that she couldn't make out. But they were highly critical.

Twilight Luminaria's Mindscape.

Deep within her consciousness and within her Mindscape ,the source of the voices was none other than her reincarnations. Twilight Sparkle, Sci-Twi, Twilight Wish and Twilight Moonlight. With all four of them being in here, it was only natural that right now, they were trying to get out of here. And right now, Sci-Twi, who had recently been pulled into the mindscape, was getting a gist of the plan.

"So...that's the approach...you've been planning it as soon as you were taken over by her?" She said to Twilight Sparkle and Twilight Wish. And there was a fifth Twilight here. Specifically, the young Twilight Luminaria, who didn't wish to harm Prisma, but was conflicted.

"Mhm. I think we can pull it off." Twilight Sparkle replied. "After all, it's the only way."

"Even though she's in charge, we're still her, and vice versa. So that means that we have to work together in order to get through to her. We're all the same person, pony or whatever, and that's not gonna change." Twilight Wish said.

"That's why this whole time, we've been working with this little Luminaria." Twilight Sparkle patted the little alicorn on her head. "We've been building up magic from in here. I've been building up all my natural magic and so has Wish. Moonlight. Have you built up enough of your own magic?"

"I think so. I can feel it getting any higher than this." Moonlight replied. Her horn was surging with magical energy.

"Good. We're going to have to hit her pretty hard with this. It's our only chance to get out of here." Twilight Sparkle said. "And you...?"

"I couldn't get all my natural magic to its best. I'm still not fully used to it. But..." Sci-Twi instead held onto to her Arceus Pendant. "I think I can count on Arceus's power to help me with that."

"Good. We've already done something noticeable. I felt it. In that instance, I was able to scream Ash's name through Twilight Luminaria's body. It's proof that's it working. But we all need to be able to not just speak through her, but move through her." Twilight explained.

"Are you sure that will work?" Sci-Twi asked, worried. All of them were worried. Worried that their efforts would fail, or that they'd simply remain trapped in their mindscape forever. Or that they'd have to wait until after Prisma was gone, or even longer. "It seems like a stretch..."

"I mean, I don't know." Wish spoke. "But it's our only option, and if we're going to get ourselves out of here, then we've got to do it. It's not a matter of if. It's a matter of when."

"Then let's not waste anytime." Moonlight narrowed her eyes.

"Please...Please save Prisma. And the Universe." The little Twilight Luminaria pleaded. Truth be told, the child within her didn't want to see her best friend gone, but she wanted to keep all of existence in tact.

The four Twilights nodded in understanding. They had the same feelings and were determined to do what they could. To save their friends and their world. Thus, four powers would start emerging.

The Equestrian Magic of Twilight Sparkle. The Wish Magic of Twilight Wish. The Moonful Magic of Twilight Moonlight and the New Magic of Sci-Twi. But with an added bonus. The Divine Power of Arceus. As the pendant began to glow, that power would channel itself into Sci-Twi, amplifying her power and filling her up with energy.

"Here. Goes. Everything!!" Twilight Sparkle shouted. From within the mind, the Twilights had released all the pent up magic that they had accumulated. The resulting surge of power was immense, causing a bright flash that temporarily blinded their surroundings. A wave of energy rippled outward, creating a powerful shockwave that shook the very foundation of the mindscape. The four of them were putting all of their strength into it, hoping that this would be enough to give Twilight Luminaria a huge jolt, maybe even a kick, and force her to come back to her senses.

Meanwhile, in the real world, the fight was still ongoing. Leon and Prisma were locked in fierce combat, each trying to gain the upper hand. Twilight watched the battle, feeling helpless and frustrated. Suddenly, a loud noise echoed through the air, and she realized what was happening.

"This feeling..." She said before feeling a powerful shock through her body, causing her to scream loudly in pain.

"Huh? What's going on?" Leon was perplexed and stopped the fight, looking at her in confusion.

"Hm?" Prisma's expression was also one of confusion, as he looked at Twilight in disbelief. He couldn't believe that the other Twilights were attempting to break free from the control of their combined form, and he was unsure of how to react. He tried to maintain his composure, but it was evident from his facial expressions that he was surprised and perhaps a little bit frightened by the unexpected turn of events.

Twilight's screams were growing louder and more anguished, and her struggles were becoming increasingly violent. With the combined efforts of her reincarnations, despite how powerful their incarnation was, they were beginning to fight back. And thanks to the battle against Prisma weakening her, it actually gave them a chance to try and push through. To gain their freedom.

As the journey continues.
