My Little Pokémon: Grander World
The Great Clash of Dragons
Previous ChapterNext ChapterSinnoh. Near Alamos Town. Nightfall.
The clash continued as Palkia formed a massive black hole against its opponents. But in response, so did Passion and thus, two Black Holes fought against each other intensively, bringing a whole new level of destruction to the area. Destruction that Passion was trying to minimize even though she formed her own Black Hole.
"Passion, can you handle this?!" Ash asked her, worried that the pressure was too much for her to handle. Even Gardevoir couldn't hold out on her own forever. But the People of the Water could help. With their combined might, they helped Gardevoir keep her Black Hole going.
Palkia, seeing that Passion was managing to even things out, would try and switch things up. It started manipulating the directions of space itself, altering the course of the black hole so that the suction was coming from a different angle. Now, the black hole was sucking upwards at the group from below, and everyone was trying to fly away. Some managed to stay in the air, while the others struggled to maintain their balance in the ever-shifting gravitational forces. Gardevoir would notice the change, and in that moment, she had to end it.
She would throw the Black Hole in front of her, launching the small orb in the direction of the larger black hole. Once it got close enough, it collided and merged with the other, forming a bigger, denser, and unstable singularity. As a result, the new, more powerful black hole would cause the remaining portions of the battlefield to start to crumble, the ground beneath their feet beginning to give way.
However, the outcome was ultimately the black holes collapsing against each other and launching everyone. The force of the pressure that came from it launched everyone forward in a specific direction, straight towards Alamos Town, the closest location to their current whereabouts.
Everyone screamed as their bodies flew across the air. The force of the impact would have sent them flying in multiple directions if it weren't for the fact that they were heading in a single path. Their screams were the only sounds heard, the wind rushing past their ears as the town drew closer. And in that instant, everyone was launched towards the safety of the town.
Celestia grit her teeth, using her magic to catch all of their bodies, preventing them from crashing. The impact of their landing would've caused a massive explosion, shattering windows and buildings alike, had Celestia not intervened. Everyone was caught in her magical grasp, and they were gently placed on the ground.
Prisma and Twilight Luminaria said themselves, with Prisma using Dragon Matter to catch him. All Twilight Luminaria had to do was spread her wings to regain her momentum. Palkia landed in a large crater, the only Pokémon that didn't have to move after the launch.
Ash, and everyone else would get back up, groaning and moaning as they were still in pain. They were far from the battlefield and near the outskirts of the city. Ash looked up, where the Space-Time Towers were located, which the Dragon Matter was currently around. "Is...everyone alright?"
"Yeah." Twilight Sparkle groaned. She stood up and took a deep breath, shaking her head.
The People of Alamos Town were already fleeing the area, running and screaming at the top of their lungs. The battle was taking place in their home, and the damage that had occurred was already catastrophic. They didn't need to watch anymore to know that their homes were in jeopardy. They had to leave and fast, lest their lives be in danger.
Prisma had the Dragon Matter carry him upwards as he landed on top of a rooftop, looking down at everyone from above. His eyes narrowed on the group, a smirk on his face. "Well done. I was wrong about you all indeed. For you to keep this up...your tenacity is something else." He chuckled. "But...can you all stop me in time? Even though you're facing me here, across the world, the passive destruction that my Dragon Matter is causing still persists. And all my Pokemon are doing just that. Can you honestly hope to win while everyone is being torn apart?"
"He's right...Not to mention, a majority of everyone in the world are awakened Unilight Residents..." Luna growled. The numbers were far too many. Even though a majority of them have been defeated by Prisma and his Pokemon, none of them have managed to return to how they used to be, still being awakened.
They could fight Prisma all they want, the rest of the world was still being attacked.
Galar.
Such as how Rayquaza continued to rain destruction down on Galar. Speaking of which, Rayquaza was also manipulating the Dragon Matter along the way. Its scales were generating the substance and unleashing a barrage of sharp objects that would pierce through the ground, the sides of the mountains, and the skies. It was creating chaos in the entire region.
And right below Rayquaza, watching it destroy everything was Spike. He managed to recover at least, albeit still injured. "Why's Rayquaza doing this...?" Spike wasn't aware that this was not the usual Rayquaza of the world, but Prisma's Rayquaza. "Rayquaza!" He screamed at the top of his lungs, attempting to grab Rayquaza's attention.
And he did.
The Sky High Pokemon stopped and turned to him, glaring menacingly. It didn't care who he was, or why he was calling its name. All it saw was another obstacle in its path, and it was ready to take him out. Spike was a bit taken aback, wondering why the Pokemon seemed so aggressive. In that moment, Rayquaza unleashed a Hyper Beam, aiming at him in an attempt to destroy him. Spike ran for his life, the beam missing him and hitting the ground instead, destroying a vast chunk of land. The shockwave did launch his small body into the air, and he crashed onto the ground, groaning. He looked up and watched in horror as Rayquaza continued its rampage, its attacks becoming even more vicious and unrelenting.
Rayquaza then brought down Dragon Matter towards Spike, attempting to destroy him. Quickly, Spike hit the jets and continued running to avoid the chunks of Dragon Matter that were crashing down. Eventually, one piece was close enough to knock his leg, tripping him over and causing him to fall to the ground. He struggled to get back up, feeling the pain on his leg.
Quickly, Spike took out his Harmony Badge, using it to try and heal himself. As he was doing so, using the Dragon Matter, Rayquaza starated manipulating the clouds. It infected the clouds, and started to generate a massive Dragon Thundercloud that spanned across the entire region, engulfing it in darkness.
As for the skies themselves, the damage done to them was tremendous, the protective ozone layer had been disrupted, and the atmosphere was in turmoil. The winds were howling fiercely and the sky was filled with lightning and thunder, making the whole scene even more chaotic and frightening.
The lightning was striking at random, threatening to harm anyone or anything in its path. The clouds were swirling and churning, creating a dark and ominous backdrop for the ongoing chaos. As a result, the environment was now in complete disarray, and the people of the region were struggling to comprehend the scope of the disaster. The damage was unlike anything that had ever been seen before.
And on top of that, the effects of the Dragon Matter itself were spreading throughout the region. The land was being corrupted, and the vegetation was wilting. Spike tried going for one of his Pokemon, taking out a Poke Ball. But in the time frame he started doing so, one of the Dragon Matter Lightning bolts approached him. He gasped, his head turning as a bright light approached him. It looked as if he would be struck regardless, receiving a powerful smite.
Until something saved him.
A green blur rushed in, crashing into the Dragon Matter Lightning Bolt, and destroying it. That same blur grabbed Spike, and threw him on his back, getting him to safety. Spike was shocked, wondering what had just happened. Once he was on the ground, he would look up to see the person that saved him.
It was another Rayquaza.
Spike's eyes widened in surprise. He was taken aback by the fact that there was a second Rayquaza here. Let alone one that saved his life. But he soon realized that this wasn't just a Rayquaza. This was the Rayquaza. The same one that he took care off for a while.
"Wait...you're...!" Spike couldn't believe his eyes. The Rayquaza that had attacked him earlier was not the same one that had come to save him now. He couldn't help but feel relieved and amazed at the same time.
The Rayquaza of this universe looked back at Spike. And even though his face didn't make it possible for him to smile, just by looking into his eyes, he could tell that the Pokemon was happy to see him again.
"Oh! Boy am I glad to see you!" Spike said with relief and glee. The Main Rayquaza showing up was inevitable considering what was happening to the world and the universe as a whole. He looked up at Prisma's Rayquaza, who glared back at the other dragon. They roared at each other, their voices booming and echoing through the landscape.
The Main Rayquaza ordered Prisma's Rayquaza to stop this senseless destruction, telling it that it would lead to nothing. But Prisma's Rayquaza was fully onboard with its trainer's decision, knowing for the cycle to come to an end, all things must vanish in order to start anew. It would not allow the Main Rayquaza to stop its progress, let alone stop the others.
Thus, they would have to clash.
But the Main Rayquaza would do one more thing. He looked to Spike for a bit before nodding. Spike looked at that nod and immediately understood what the Sky High Pokemon was leading to. "You wanna team up?" He asked. "...Alright!"
He jumped on the back of the main Rayquaza, the two of them working together. With a roar, the Main Rayquaza would rush at Prisma's Rayquaza. "Rayquaza! Use Dragon Ascent!" Spike pointed ahead, temporarily becoming a Trainer for Rayquaza, who trusted him to take the reins. The dragon's body began to glow, covered in a blazing, golden aura.
Prisma's Rayquaza would do the same, charging in to attack. Both dragons would collide, their auras clashing and creating a massive explosion of energy. The force of their impact caused the ground to tremble and the air to shake. They pushed each other away before rapidly zooming across the sky, butting heads repeatedly in the midst of their battle. The sky was filled with a dazzling display of lights, the intense colors reflecting the ferocity of their struggle.
"Use Hurricane!"
The Main Rayquaza obeyed, unleashing a powerful hurricane that spiralled across the air. Prisma's Rayquaza felt the intense winds that were buffeting him, the sheer force of the storm was strong enough to push him backward. Prisma's Rayquaza retaliated by using its own hurricane, creating a powerful vortex that clashed with the first and intensified the winds. The two hurricanes combined to form a gigantic storm, the winds reaching an unimaginable speed and force. The clouds swirled around the two storms, forming an eye in the centre that was a mixture of the two colours of the auras.
"Ngh...!" Spike groaned, feeling all the pressure from both Hurricanes. "Now, use Dragon Pulse!" The main Rayquaza opened its mouth and unleashed a concentrated beam of draconic energy. This beam collided with the center of the storm, causing a massive explosion. The shockwaves of the blast were felt miles away, the earth trembling and mountains shaking. The two hurricanes were disrupted by the blast, and the winds dispersed, allowing the area to slowly return to normal. The clouds began to clear up, revealing the blue sky above.
Prisma's Rayquaza was damaged from that, and it was forced to go on the defensive. It roared, attempting to retaliate with another Hurricane. But the Main Rayquaza was quicker, and used its Extreme Speed to dodge the attack. Then, it swooped down and tackled Prisma's Rayquaza, pushing him into the ground. A cloud of dust rose up from the impact, obscuring the battlefield. The two dragons were locked in a deadly embrace, their claws and fangs ripping at each other.
"This is a good distance! A point blank, Dragon Pulse! Quick!" Spike cried out, seeing a golden opportunity. The Main Rayquaza charged up its attack, ready to fire. However, that's when the Dragon Matter intervened. It would cover the area, and manipulate the lightning, forcing it to crash onto the Main Rayquaza and shocking him. Not only that, the ground would erupt in a sudden surge of Dragon Matter, shooting up from the ground and hitting the dragon in the process.
Spike and the Main Rayquaza screamed as they were launched back. They were sent tumbling to the ground, rolling and bouncing in the dirt. Prisma's Rayquaza started relying on the Dragon Matter some more. Upon getting up, it started bombarding the opposing Rayquaza with Dragon Matter bolts, the attacks raining down and exploding on the ground. More and more pieces of the matter would attack the two, causing a lot of damage in the process.
Spike held on for dear life as the Main Rayquaza started flying as fast as possible to try and avoid the Dragon Matter bolts. He swerved and dodged, narrowly missing the blasts that were coming his way. But the onslaught was relentless, the attacks coming in waves, and the Dragon Matter seemed to be everywhere.
The attacks intensified, getting faster and faster. On top of that, Prisma's Rayquaza was managing to infect the weather itself with Dragon Matter, making the wind pick up, the rain fall heavier and the lightning crackle louder. It was a terrifying sight, and the noise was deafening.
In fact, a majority of the sky was suddenly transformed. Spike and the Main Rayquaza looked onwards to see a gigantic majority of the sky itself be turned into Dragon Matter, a huge hole appearing in the middle to reveal the endless void. What was worse was that the Dragon Matter in that area was spinning like a whirlpool, sucking in anything that got near.
"Oh man..." Spike looked on in awe at the power that was being displayed. "At this rate...all of Galar will be a goner before we can stop Rayquaza. All this Dragon Matter's too much.
Spike was right on the mark. At the rate that Prisma's Rayquaza was destroying things, soon, all of Galar will be gone now that the Dragon Matter was the sky itself. Everything in the sky was being sucked in by the whirling pool of the black and purple substance. Nothing that entered was seen again.
But the Main Rayquaza had something in mind. Despite how destructive and chaotic this all looked, it was not all lost. Not at all. The Guardian of the Ozone Layer had one thing to offer. After all, he has experience with Dragon Matter as well ever since his battle with Daybreaker in space. And with it, he knew what he had to do.
The Main Rayquaza had to use the Dragon Matter as well. He quickly flew close to the swirling vortex of the strange, corrupted sky, and focused his energy on it. His body began to glow with a brilliant light, and the energy radiated from him, connecting him to the Dragon Matter.
"Wait! What are you-" But Spike didn't have to wonder for long. He's seen the Main Rayquaza use the Dragon Matter before and he caught on right away. "Oooh....Yeah! That could work!"
Indeed, the Main Rayquaza had figured out a way to take control of the Dragon Matter and use its power against his enemy. He had learned that the Dragon Matter could be controlled if the user was strong and experienced enough. So, the Sky High Pokemon took a deep breath and closed his eyes, focusing his energy on the Dragon Matter and drawing on the immense power that it offered.
With his strength, the whirling pool of Dragon Matter was finally under his control, and he could use its power to his advantage in the fight against his opponent. With his newfound control over the matter, the Main Rayquaza shot towards the vortex of his own creation.
As he did so, a bolt of pure electricity, which was a part of his attack, was released from the center of the vortex. The bolt was not aimed at the Main Rayquaza or his rider, but instead it was directed upwards, towards the open sky above. The bolt of energy struck the heart of the Dragon Matter-infused storm, creating a powerful reaction. The skies were lit up in a brilliant light, and the sound of thunderous explosions echoed throughout the land.
Prisma's Rayquaza was hit head-on, and was sent tumbling backwards. The sheer force of the impact had caused him to lose control of the Dragon Matter that had been swirling around him, and the vortex was dissipating. In the end, the attack was able to stop the spread of the Dragon Matter in the atmosphere, and the sky was returning to its natural state. The clouds were clearing and the sun was beginning to shine once more. The two Rayquazas continued their battle in the air, their energies clashing in a spectacular show of power.
"Dragon Pulse, let's go!" Spike yelled. The main Rayquaza complied and fired the blue-green energy beam from his maw. It connected with his counterpart, damaging him. But he wouldn't give up. He'd fly to the side to dodge the next pulse, and attempt to counter with a Hyper Beam. The orange-yellow energy wave would soar through the air, aiming at the Main Rayquaza. But he'd dodge that and fire another Dragon Pulse. Prisma's Rayquaza took the blow, needing time to recharge after using Hyper Beam.
And the Main Rayquaza used this to the fullest advantage. Using the Dragon Matter, he ended up multiplying the Dragon Pulse, bringing down a rain of them that came down from the sky. Each one was just as deadly and powerful as the last. And there was no avoiding them, especially since Prisma's Rayquaza was charging to unleash his next attack. He couldn't do anything, and was bombarded by the blasts.
"If Rayquaza can do anything with the Dragon Matter then..." Spike had an idea come to mind. "Combine the Dragon Pulse with Hurricane!"
Hearing this, the Main Rayquaza was on it. While bringing down the rain of Dragon Pulses, he'd charge up a hurricane and bring that down, combining the two attacks. With the combination, the Dragon Pulses were brought into a storm of their own, swirling and mixing in a violent dance. It was a truly amazing sight to behold, and the power was unimaginable.
Prisma's Rayquaza couldn't find a window to launch a counterattack or anytime to really defend. And that was the idea. Absolutely overwhelming it was the approach the Main Rayquaza had to take, and it was working. But the Main Rayquaza wasn't finished. He was going to make sure that his counterpart was defeated.
"Finish it! Dragon Ascent!" Spike declared that this was over. And with all his might, all his heart and soul, the Main Rayquaza came flying in at top speed, a powerful blue aura surrounding him. And then, the collision occured. The two dragons clashed in a mighty explosion, the force of the impact shaking the earth and shattering the air. It could even be seen from space.
As the dust settled, Prisma's Rayquaza laid there, absolutely staggered and overwhelmed to the core. It couldn't take any more, and was done. The Main Rayquaza was victorious.
"Alright! Nice job, big guy!" Spike exclaimed, patting the dragon's back. The Main Rayquaza roared triumphantly, proud of his victory. And with his roar, the skies began to clear, all the Dragon Matter Prisma's Rayquaza used were fizzling out from the world. All of that damage that was done was being reverted. Soon, everything was peaceful, and the sky was clear and calm, and the land was restored to its original state.
But that wasn't all. The body of Prisma's Rayquaza started glowing all of a sudden, slowly dispersing into mini particles. The duo watched as the Pokemon of Prisma was seemingly beginning to vanish after its defeat. But it wasn't just vanishing. Instead, once its body became particles of energy, it started flowing towards the Main Rayquaza. Before they knew it, the particles were being absorbed into the Main Rayquaza's body. He was taking in the particles that were once the other Rayquaza's essence.
"Whoa. What's going on?" Spike asked himself, witnessing the event unfold. He didn't know what was happening, but the Main Rayquaza was. Once all of the particles of the other Rayquaza's essence were absorbed, the Main Rayquaza's body was covered in a golden light. The light was incredibly bright, and almost blinding. The light faded as Rayquaza knew what had happened.
He heard the voice of his fellow Rayquaza and the words that came from it were simple. "Thank you."
And when hearing that, he put it together. Despite being the Pokemon of Prisma and willing to help destroy everything for him, Prisma's Rayquaza believed that nothing could really stop him and his teammates due to how powerful they were. But, since he lost, he saw a chance. A chance for this existence to be saved instead of being destroyed. Since the Main Rayquaza bested him, and thus, he was giving him his powers to make sure he was strong enough to stop Prisma.
He was now a part of the Main Rayquaza.
He looked back at Spike, nodding in understanding. Now that this battle was won, there was more to do. The world was still in absolute chaos from all of Prisma's other Pokemon.
"I guess we should get going now. I wanna meet up with the others and see if they're safe. Please, Rayquaza." Spike requested.
Rayquaza understood. He'd gladly do it for Spike. But there was one last thing he had to do before he could leave. A way to fight against such a powerful threat. Looking at the remaining Dragon Matter, Rayquaza was about to use it once more.
Specifically, to call for help.
As the journey continues.
