My Little Pokémon: Grander World
A New Luminaria
Previous ChapterNext ChapterKalos. Nightfall.
Rayquaza called for help. Using the Dragon Matter, he called for his his fellow Legendary Pokemon. With a loud roar, a message was being sent to his fellow Legendaries. They were to come and help him clash against the forces of Prisma.
And such a cry moved across the entire planet thanks to the power of the Dragon Matter. It allowed his cries to be heard everywhere. And his calls would soon be answered. Over at Kalos, as Mewtwo was ripping everything apart with its mind, the Dragon Matter way beneath it started swirling and moving.
When the Psychic Pokemon stopped and hovered, it noticed the matter was reacting to something and wondered what was going on. Then, the cry of the Sky High Pokemon could be heard, its echoes spreading throughout the air.
And from it, using the amazing power of the Dragon Matter, Rayquaza summoned forth two Pokemon. Emerging from the Dragon Matter were Xerneas and Yveltal, the Life and Destruction Pokemon respectively. They both manifested, looking at Mewtwo and the destruction that was left behind. They were the ones that would aid Rayquaza in stopping these things from destroying the world and ending life as it is.
But it wasn't just them. In Hoenn, it was only natural for Rayquaza to call upon the help of those that it governs over regarding weather. And so, Groudon, the Land, and Kyogre, the Sea, were both summoned, ready to help Rayquaza and his allies in the great battle that was to commence.
The Dragon Matter would rapidly ascend towards Reshiram and Zekrom who were tearing up to the region with plasma, and out of the energy came Groudon and Kyogre, who bashed their bodies against the Dragon Duo, causing them to halt.
Reshiram and Zekrom cried out as they were knocked out of the air. Their eyes immediately fell on the pair of legendaries that interrupted their rampage.
Across the world, Rayquaza called for all the help he could get. Especially against all the Pokemon that have been transformed by the Dragon Matter. With Rayquaza now using the energy for himself, he would do two things. Attempt to turn those that have been transformed into Dragonic Pokemon back to how they were while also summoning fellow Legendaries to try and subdue them.
But as for Prisma himself, his overwhelming power was being shown over and over again as it was now just him against everyone. He laughed, pointing at them as he had Palkia use Spatial Rend, which was coming straight at the group. Everyone dodged, and Ash had Pikachu use Thunderbolt right at the god of space, pushing it back.
As for Twilight Luminaria, after losing Sci-Twi, she was down to just Twilight Wish and Twilight Moonlight within her, becoming way weaker compared to before. And thus, she was laying on the ground, feeling drained and lacking in that same amazing power she had earlier.
And what stuck with her is what Prisma said, calling her weaker than before. Indeed, when they first battled, Twilight Luminaria did a significantly better job in every conceivable way. But this time, she could barely compare to him. So much had changed between the two of them, but even then, the fact that she was so far below him was hard to swallow.
And she hated that. She hated that despite her best efforts, Prisma would always be stronger, faster and smarter. This was a battle that couldn't be won, no matter what. And she feared that her journey had come to a tragic end. As she laid there, feeling weak and vulnerable, a thought ran through her head. She had failed her nation and existence as a whole. If she couldn't stop Prisma, the universe was doomed.
"Your Majesty!" But someone came to her regardless of her current situation. That being Harmony. She galloped over to Twilight Luminaria's downed body, still wanting to speak with her.
"Harmony..." Twilight groaned, trying to look at the pony that stood by her side. Even if she was defeated, Harmony still came to her side. "Why...Why are you still...?"
"Because I can't give up on you, Your Majesty." Harmony helped her up. "Even if you're my enemy, I cannot abandon you."
"You'd best do so...my magic...I can barely feel the vast amount of it within me." Twilight Luminaria groaned. "I can't hope to do anything else in this state. What a disgustingly awful way to lose. After all that...all those contingencies and planning...and I lost. I couldn't even hope to put him on the backfoot. Why...?"
"I don't know why. If I knew, I would tell you, Your Majesty. But I know one thing's or sure. You're different from before. Your dedication to stop Prisma...even though I was on board with it, I was worried about how you were taking it. Please...for your own safety, stop." Harmony by now just wanted her to be safe since her body couldn't handle another confrontation.
If she were to battle now, she would lose yet again. And Twilight Luminaria knew that very well. Thus, with a heavy heart and a deep sigh, she lowered her head, accepting defeat. With that, she would sit down as the sounds of the battle in the distance went off.
"...I give up. I can't do anything..." She weakly said as she took off her crown. And out of frustration, she threw the crown across the ground. "...And yet...you all continue to fight. Even against these odds, you're all still trying to win...Why?"
"I wondered why for a little bit. But it didn't take me long to figure out why." Harmony looked back at the scene of the battle, seeing Pikachu butt heads with Infernape, supported by Leon's Inteleon who would snipe the Flame Pokemon. "My reincarnations already know why. They don't want to give up on their friends. That's what drives them to keep going. They want to save all of existence as well, but they don't want to lose their friends in the process."
"Even though they're aware of how unstoppable Prisma is? Or even the cycle that Selene created..." Twilight Luminaria questioned. "They should know that there isn't a way to stop all of that..."
"They know about them. But I don't think that'll stop them. They all seem to believe in something that helps them keep going. If they have no other options, then they'll make a new one for themselves."
There was that saying again. A saying that Ash decided on and everyone else followed suit. And one that Twilight Luminaria has head repeatedly. At first, she saw it to be a pointless saying, one that was only wishful thinking and nothing more.
But One Light has shown that they can find a way to get through any situation. After all, they overcame the Arcane Institute, got through the trials Twilight Luminaria set up and have fought Prisma fiercely, managing to hold their own. Even better than she did, she had to admit. On top o that, they've already managed to free Ash from Prisma and plan to do the same to the others. Even though she saw no way of them stopping the cycle, Twilight Luminaria had to wonder if their approach to things was greater than she thought.
"Can they really do it...? Even if they find a way to subdue Prisma...can they even stop this cycle?" Twilight asked, looking back at the sky. "It's impossible to change fate like that...right?"
"I can't say. But the least we can do is have faith in their ability to stop all of this." The fused alicorn replied. "I know that's not much, but that's the only thing I can do right now. Have faith in their mission and see where it takes them. Perhaps it might work. There's no way to tell. All we can do is wait and see."
While Twilight would normally scoff at such a thing, having the will to believe in others and that alone, she found herself unable to do so. Instead, Twilight Luminaria was left wondering whether or not that would actually work. Could that kind of mentality and will to never give up truly help them succeed? It seemed too good to be true. But if it could happen, what would that mean?
"...The other two." Twilight Luminaria suddenly said. "Twilight Wish. Twilight Moonlight. Have Calyrex free them right now." "
"Eh? Your Majesty? Are you..."
"If that's the case...then I'll take that risk. I'll choose to believe in your way and see it can succeed. I can't do anything anymore. Not in my state. Not with the lack of resources I have now."
"But, Your Majesty. If we free the other two...you won't have a body anymore." Harmony reminded. "You'll just be a soul without a body."
"..." Twilight Luminaria stared at Harmony. And while her eyes remained cold and her face expressionless, the Alicorn Queen had made her choice. "...Do it. If One Light is able to bring a miracle to us, then I will be the one to let that happen. Free the other two. Let me disappear...for the sake of the universe. Do it...and have faith in their cause."
"But..." Harmony was actually conflicted about that. She certainly didn't want Twilight Luminaria to lose her body and disappear entirely. However, she knew that Twilight Luminaria was actually doing it to help everyone else for once.
"You won't have to worry about a lack of a body." Suddenly, someone had appeared. They turned their heads to see Calyrex as Spectrier walked over. And right behind him were Twilight Sparkle and Sci-Twi.
"Calyrex?" Harmony uttered.
"Alas...by the end of this, I doubt you will have a body at all to call your own." Calyrex shook his head.
"Figured as much..." Twilight Luminaria lowered her head. "Technically, I'm not even suppossed to exist. Despite you all being reincarnations...I'm the real reincarnations...derived from you." She looked over at Twilight Sparkle and by extension Sci-Twi. In reality, she was the real reincarnation and the two of them were technically the 'originals', despite the weirdness of the situation. "I suppose that means my purpose has run its course."
Twilight Sparkle then walked over to the Queen of Unilight, staring at her. She was the one to speak to her. "...Despite everything that's happened what you've done...I can't say I wouldn't do the same."
"Huh?"
"You're us after all. The old me would've probably done something similar to what you did." Twilight Sparkle admitted. And she was right about that. Sci-Twi could vouch as well. Empress Twilight Sparkle and Midnight Sparkle exist for a reason. All of Twilight's negative parts made manifest. And in a way, Twilight Luminaria was another part of that. Another path that could've been taken. "Even so, after you put my friends through that, forgiving you will be tough. I'd even say I couldn't. But..." She held her hoof out. "The little you thinks otherwise."
"What...?"
"When we were within you, we met with your younger self, when you were still a princess. And she didn't want to see Prisma destroyed, even after all that. And that's what you feel deep down, don't you?"
"But that's..." Twilight Luminaria froze after that. "That's impossible. I made sure to cut of all personal connections to Prisma. There shouldn't be any part within me that still believes that..."
"That just isn't true." Sci-Twi added on. "You know that in the deepest depths of your hearts, the small, tiny hope that Prisma could still be saved. You don't want to see Prisma destroyed at all...And we want to help with that..."
"You want to help? Even after what he's done and is trying to do? You still want to save him? Why?" Twilight Luminaria questioned.
"The little you knows why. So you should to." Twilight Sparkle smiled at her. The Queen of Unilight was baffled by her. The entire group even. The way they were was indescribable. Something that she's never seen at all even in Unilight. Twilight Sparkle, Sci-Twi, Harmony and Calyrex wanted to help.
"I don't understand any of you..." Twilight Luminaria smiled back before taking her hoof. "But that's why you're the originals, aren't you? You're capable of doing the impossible. I'll leave the rest to all of you. Make sure to have faith in yourselves and to succeed..."
"We will. And by the end of this, I can come to one conclusion." Calyrex said. "Once we defeat Prisma and stop the cycle, you both will be nothing but souls once more. However, I will see to it that you both are given a new life in another existence. In another world."
"You...what?"
"Yes. After all, what drives Prisma's insanity is that cycle. Stopping it will solve it all. There won't be a way for him to pay for his crimes since he will be a soul. And even as a soul, he can do incredible things. But with a new life, that can change. And perhaps he can still pay for them even in that new life. As can you, Twilight Luminaria, for your own actions."
"Another world, huh?" Twilight Luminaria muttered. In the end, it seemed that her plan of using Prisma's soul to form a new entity devoid of his memories would come to fruition, but by someone else and with a different approach. Plus, she too would be given a new form as a new entity. "Fine. I accept. Do it."
Calyrex nodded before holding his arm out at her, ready to free the remaining two Twilights. Twilight Luminaria closed her eyes and awaited the inevitable. Her time was up, and she had to go. It was now a matter of whether or not the last of her and her counterparts would succeed in their endeavors.
A flash of light was the last thing that Twilight Luminaria would ever see from her perspective. It was a bright, golden light that enveloped her. And from that light came forth Twilight Wish and Twilight Moonlight. The two of them fell to the ground, landing flat on their faces and groaning.
"Ow..." Twilight Wish got up and rubbed her forehead. "Hey, that actually hurt-!" Before her was the sight of her other selves and the Legendary Pokemon Calyrex. Needless to say, seeing them took her aback. Especially considering that she was in the middle of a fight. "Wait, what!? How did...!?"
"Finally..." Twilight Moonlight sighed in relief, getting up from the floor. "We're free...And our bodies are back to normal..."
"Are you feeling alright, you two?" Twilight Sparkle asked.
"Yeah, we're fine." Twilight Wish responded. "A bit sore though..."
"Well, there is a lot of explaining to do." Sci-Twi stated, walking over to the two. "So, let's get started. We need to catch you both up to speed, fast."
"Well, there is a lot of explaining to do." Sci-Twi stated, walking over to the two. "So, let's get started. We need to catch you both up to speed, fast."
"No need." Twilight Moonlight stood up. "We already know what to do. And we're not about to waste any time."
The four of them smiled and nodded. They were glad that the two were finally on their side, and they were ready to unite the team together. Now, all four Twilights were together and ready to work as one. Harmony was a bit sad that her queen had to sacrifice herself, but understood the importance of the mission. She knew that in order to achieve victory, sacrifices must be made.
"Maybe we're not quite done with being one yet..." Twilight Sparkle smiled, having something in mind as she looked at her counterparts. "Girls. How about a little bit of fusion?"
"...Eh?" The three of them were confused by this. But Twilight Sparkle knew what she was doing.
Back with the battle, Prisma laughed as he had summoned forth more of his Pokemon, actually enjoying this battle now. As such, he continued to escalate it, bringing out more and more of his Pokemon along with his own strength.
"Pika!" Pikachu avoided an incoming Stone Edge from a Tyranitar, using the speed of Quick Attack to zip away and avoid damage. He then countered with a Thunderbolt, which struck the opponent dead on. However, this Tyranitar was clearly stronger than most, shrugging off the attack. It simply charged forward and slammed its claw towards Pikachu.
"Kanga!" Saving him as Applejack's Kangaskhan, who caught Tyranitar's attack and pushed it back, overpowering it. The large dinosaur Pokemon stumbled backwards, growling in frustration. In response, Tyranitar unleashed a Dark Pulse, intending on hitting them both. Kangaskhan quickly moved in front of Pikachu and prepared to take the blow.
"Pikachu! Iron Tail!" Ash commanded. Pikachu jumped in the air, tail glowing as he swung it downwards and sliced through the Dark Pulse. The attack landed on Tyranitar, making him stumble backwards.
And as Tyranitar stumbled back, moving past him was Donphan, who was rolling towards them at full speed. Kangaskhan was struck head on by Donphan and knocked onto the ground, while the latter came to a halt and turned around. From behind her, an Exploud roared, knocking her out with a Hyper Voice. Pikachu and a few of their allies managed to jump in and save her from a finishing blow. But the enemy kept coming.
"Rollout!"
"Whirli!" But along came Rainbow Dash's Whirlipede, who built up enough speed to move at great speeds as well. And thanks to Rollout increasing with each use, he approached Donphan with tremendous strength. Both Pokemon would roll towards each other, until the inevitable clash.
They met in the middle, the force of the impact creating a small shockwave that sent loose dirt and sand flying. Whirlipede and Donphan were pushing against one another, neither of them giving the other an inch.
"Whirli!" Whirlipede gave one final burst of strength and managed to push Donphan off balance, knocking the Ground type onto his side and leaving him vulnerable.
"Now's our chance! Castform, use Hurricane!"
"Form!" Flying out of Rainbow Dash's Saddlebag, Castform spun around rapidly. Within moments, the wind was picking up and the area became filled with a strong gale. A massive tornado was forming, and all of the opposing Pokemon were being lifted into the air, unable to escape. As the twister began to dissipate, the enemy Pokémon were flung high into the sky before crashing down hard, causing a cloud of dust and debris to rise.
"Alright! Nice job, guys!" Rainbow Dash shouted, pumping her hoof in excitement. However, the celebration wouldn't last long, as all it took was Prisma's Palkia to change that. Manipulating the space in the air, he had his teammates levitate in place, and slowly float back down to the ground safely, ready to fight again.
"Ugh. This is gonna take forever." Pinkie Pie complained, watching the Pokemon regroup and start advancing towards their opponents. "How are we supposed to beat that many enemies? That's like cheating or something!"
"All we need to do is weaken Prisma and that can only be done if the others are freed." Luna said as all of her Pokemon were out and about. "Calyrex needs all the time to gather plenty of power to do so. Even the Sea Temple Crystals won't be enough on their own. But even with all of these numbers...he can even things out so easily."
"Hahahaha!" Prisma laughed as his destruction kept ringing true across the area. This battle only added to the level of destruction he was causing and the Dragon Matter that kept spreading was adding to the level of decay in the world. "Show me more! I know you can! If you want, I'll give you all a handicap!"
"Really?" Pinkie Pie smiled at that.
"Pinkie!" Her friends yelled at her, causing her to flinch.
"Perhaps you need better motivation! How about-"
"Prisma!" Just then, someone spoke, interrupting his next batch of words. Everyone heard this voice yell out to him as it was followed by a suddenly outburst of raw and pure magical energy that formed into a gigantic pillar in the distance. Everyone turned around, seeing the absolute brightness that was the pillar. Some of their eyes widened in awe, while their mouths were left agape at the sheer size of it. Soon, the pillar died down and the sight of a single being emerged from it, hovering in the air.
It was Twilight. But not Twilight Sparkle, Sci-Twi, Wish or Moonlight. Instead, it was all four of them as one being. This Twilight was much taller and was wearing a beautiful white dress that flowed freely, almost resembling a wedding gown. She had a gold necklace with a star in the center. In a way, she looked like Twilight Luminaria, but with alterations. What stood out to Prisma was that her presence felt similar to that of his old nemesis. He could sense the magic that was emanating from her, and the power that was within her. His smile grew wider, and his heart raced faster, excited for what was to come. It was her. There was no doubt about it.
Twilight Luminaria.
Or rather, a new and more complete Twilight Luminaria.
"Is that...Twilight Luminaria?" Fluttershy wondered.
"I think...but she looks way different this time." Carrot Top pointed out. "Sort of."
"Oh it is her." Celestia sensed the magic but knew that there was something wonderfully familiar about it. She knew that they had used the Fusion Spell to form this new entity. "But it's a new one. Made up from the Fusion Spell. And one here to help us."
As the newly formed Twilight flew in the air, everyone stared at her. They had never seen such a magnificent and radiant sight before. Not since Twilight Luminaria, and even that wasn't as impressive as this.
"Well? Finally going to owe up for your dissapointing performance earlier?" Prisma questioned as the two were face to face.
"You could say that." She spoke with an echo of all four Twilights. "Stopping you isn't impossible. Not one bit."
"You say that. But do you actually have the method of doing so? I would hope you do." Prisma shrugged.
"I do...But right now, all of us out here can't hope to do it with our power." She admitted, shaking her head. "But, someone can."
"Hm?"
"The one who's with you at this very moment!" Just then, Twilight Luminaria would instantly release a truly beautiful beam of amazing power, aiming it at the rift. The beam soared through the sky, piercing the clouds above as it approached Prisma. Prisma held his hand out, having his Aura try and stop this incoming attack.
But the beam was intended to harm him. Far from it. Instead, the beam had another purpose as Twilight Luminaria made it phase out of reality, bypassing the Aura. Thus, she landed a direct hit on his chest, causing him to grimace.
"Ngh! W-What are you...?!" Prisma growled at her.
"I'm reaching for the one person that's still in you! You know who I'm referring too...because I can already sense her even from here!" Twilight Luminaria bellowed, referring to one individual within Prisma. It wasn't any of his incarnations. Quite the opposite. Someone far deeper than that.
It was Delia Ketchum.
As the journey continues.
