War: Drums of War

On the morning of the big day Sombra prepared a feast for champions, the greatest breakfast she could possibly make in the face of what was to come, and despite the danger they would be facing in the near future everyone ate as if the fate of the World wasn't on their shoulders. Everyone was chatting and having fun, trying to distract themselves from what was going to happen once she lead them down to the Kryblade Graveyard, while Fluttershy was making sure her animal friends were ready to go, as they would be waging war with them. The rest of their allies were gathering, because once she made contact with her brother things were going to go south, that much Sombra knew for sure, and they had to have their forces at the ready to begin the war at a moment's notice. Merlin had even mentioned that there were a few more allies coming, he was just tracking them down, and she knew that the figure wouldn't lie to her, which made her eager to see who the wizard would be bringing in once the war actually started, and if Yen Sid would be joining them as well.

Part of Sombra still honestly couldn't believe that she was leading people to war, against her own brother no less, but this was the hand she had been dealt and all she could do right now was stick with it while doing everything in her power to stop Tenebris from either breaking time itself or claiming Kingdom Hearts.

"So... is everyone ready for this?" Sora asked, as he knew that Sombra was thinking about the Keyblade War that they would be involved in, the massive event that would revolve around the fate of the World itself, and he had to admit there was a lot for them to worry about, given how Tenebris had been preparing for this for an entire year.

"As ready as we can be, honestly." Radiant replied, though that was around the time that everyone got up, as they were all done with their food and were as ready as they could be, nodding in agreement to Sora's statement, causing her and the rest of the group to turn towards Sombra, "Shall we get on with this?"

Sombra nodded and everyone walked up to the cockpit of the Gummi Ship, where Sora found that the ship had an area for them to teleport down into and activated the console without delay, allowing them to warp down to the Keyblade Graveyard, a literal wasteland, like something in a desert or something, with hundreds of Keyblades acting as gravestones. The last time there had been a true Keyblade War there had been so many Wielders that perished, hence the existence of this place, and the area they warped down to appeared to be a circular indent, like where one might expect to see a massive fight happen at some point. Fortunately there didn't appear to be anyone waiting for them, so Sombra jumped into the air and landed on top of the fractured plateau that was in front of where they landed, where she noticed a path cutting through it that lead to the other side, and in front of her rested the sea of old Keyblades. As she landed, however, she spotted a violent mass of pure dark energy across from where she had chosen to land, where Sombra watched as the entire plateau sunk beneath her hooves, the earth cracking and splitting before leaving a flat area for her and the others to stand on.

Sure enough the area on the other side rose for a few seconds, as Tenebris thought of himself as being above everyone and that meant he wanted to make sure she knew what he was doing, even though it was alarming that he was able to control so much on his own, meaning her full power would definitely be needed to beat her brother.

"Seems like someone is overcompensating for something." Seras commented, trying to inject a little humor into what was going on right now, though that was when the darkness in front of them unfurled and Tenebris, in all his dark glory, walked out before grinning as he tossed Xehanort, his own ally, at them.

"Hello, Sombra. Xehanort and I had a little talk, and I decided to give him to you... we had a disagreement, and he should be lucky that he's still alive." Tenebris said, though at the same time Sombra noticed that the darkness that was forming where her brother had been standing was expanding, where all of the dark soldiers, from at least some of the dark timelines, started to walk out of the palace that they had been training in, "I also have a Dark Xehanort to replace him, so losing him is no blow to me. Is this all you could muster, Sombra, in the year I gave you? Because if so, I should have annihilated you and your pitiful band of heroes instantly... would have saved me some time and effort, since I could have ripped the 'Guardians of the Light' out of their timelines as well."

"Nice to see you too, brother. I'll say this once: this is your last chance to stand down." Sombra stated, though it wasn't due to her not wanting to beat the stuffing out of Tenebris, she really wanted to beat him into the ground and stop his plans, but she was also willing to let him admit defeat before things got worse, just in case he got cold hooves, even though she had a feeling her brother wouldn't stand down.

"Oh, what's wrong little baby? Scared we'll beat you and your pitiful allies?" Tenebris remarked, showing Sombra that he was going to fight no matter what, which was a shame since she had been hoping he'd be smart and back off after hearing about all the damage he was doing to the World, but this was just like her brother, too obsessed with his hunger for power while not caring about the various consequences.

"No, just... hoping that you would understand the things you've done and the damage your actions have had on the rest of the World." Sombra said, though at the same time she snapped her fingers because if her brother wanted a war, which they were seeing with his words right now, she was willing to do everything in her power to bring him down and ensure that the World was saved from his madness, "But I have allies, dear brother, and you won't be able to do whatever you want anymore."

Tenebris just grinned as the area behind Sombra's group became active, where Sora and the others watched as an array of portals opened behind them, where Riku, Kairi, and the rest of the group that trained with them in the past walked out with their Keyblades at the ready, and that was only the tip of the iceberg. It wasn't long before Xemnas and Sairaine walked out of another portal, weapons at the ready, as the rest of their Organization joined them, containing every member despite all of the madness they had been put through in the past, and some were glaring at Tenebris. They weren't the only ones to come out, as there was Prexus, Luxu, and the Foretellers, who stood side by side as they stopped between Sombra and the rest of her friends, showing their enemies that they stood with those that were defending the World. In addition to that there was Merlin and the allies he had found, which turned out to be Leon, Cloud, a whole bunch of people they had never seen before this day, Yuna and her two friends in full human form and wielded weapons this time around.

In fact there was someone else from that world that joined them, as a vertical slash appeared in the ground that was right between Sombra and Tenebris, avoiding all of the Keyblades as Tenebris jumped backwards, where Sombra found that it was none other than Sephiroth who came to their aid.

"Normally I would be seeking a rematch, or tormenting Cloud... but we have bigger fish to deal with." Sephiroth stated, as he had spent some time training after he fought Sombra, preparing for another match, and now two years later he was back to fight, but first they had to deal with someone that was threatening the rest of the World, before he glanced back at the rest of the magical portals, "Is this all you could muster?"

"Not even close." Sombra replied, which was when they heard a pair of roars as more portals opened, these ones a mix of darkness and whiteness, where she found that the rest of their forces were emerging without delay and would even the odds against the vast army of darkness her brother had gathered for this day, while Xehanort just stood there with a look of shock on his face.

This time around it was Tiamut, who was decked out in gleaming silver armor that added to her draconic beauty, followed by a massive dark serpent that had to be Leviathan, the Ancient Heartless that watched over the seas of the Darkworld, and a smaller humanoid figure that was robed and had a twisted staff, Abdul the Lich, meaning the three greatest powers in the entirety of the Darkworld were present. It wasn't just them either, as Sombra found a massive number of the most powerful of Heartless marching out of the Darkworld portals, like Darksides and Behemoths, which showed everyone else that even the darkest beings in the World wanted to have a place to call home. From the white portals emerged the Nobodies, as in all those who hadn't developed their own personalities, from Dusks to the Samurai, to even Seras' many Vampires, and even Namine's Painter High Rank was among their number, as they were willing to do everything possibly to keep the World safe from danger. In addition to all of them Sombra even found Lei Shen, the serpent dragon Nobody, among their number, who was already preparing an attack so once the battle started, and all of the other Nobodies were equally prepared to do battle with the dark army that was in front of them.

As that happened the ground in the distance cracked as the Titans of Hercules' world tore their way into this world, which was an interesting thing to see, and it wasn't long before Sombra noticed Hades, Jack Skellington, Hercules, Hiro and his team, the pirates from the Caribbean, and literally everyone else, heroes and villains alike, stepping out of other portals, like the World itself was drawing everyone to this battlefield.

"I've done what I can. We are here to stop Tenebris, nothing more." a voice said, where Sombra found Maleficent and Pete were here as well, both glaring at the dark army that was now realizing that the number of forces they were opposing had grown to a staggering amount, putting the odds closer on Sombra's side, all while both of them found that Vanitas was able to call forth the Unversed as well, who were definitely listening to him now, "Is this everyone you could muster?"

"Yes... and yet there might be more to call to battle once more." Sombra replied, something that was followed by her simply merging both of her Keyblades into the Runeblade as she stepped forward, pointing the tip at her brother for a moment, like a declaration of war, before turning the tip of the weapon towards the ground as she gently touched the ground, almost like she was kneeling and praying to the World itself, "Wielders of the past, those who fought for the Light and those who fought for the Darkness, I would ask that you come forth and lend us your aid... let the World's vast Lights and vast Darknesses band together, to save the World from the one that seeks to destroy everything."

It was as if the World itself was listening to her, as Sombra and the others watched as the ancient Keyblades floated into the air and swirled around the area, before transparent warriors, those who had wielded these weapons during the last war, started to form all over her side of the battlefield, and a white haired warrior with a red scarf formed near her.

"Defenders of the World!" Sombra called out, where she could hear many beating their feet, paws, hooves, and whatever else they used to walk on the ground, in a way that made it sound like mighty drums were being played right now, while she stood up and pointed her weapon at her brother, who had fled to the back of his army, "Charge!"

Sure enough the army of the World charged at the Dark Army, where Sombra found that some of the warriors from her side wasted no time in getting serious, such as how Radiant tapped into her elemental energy and hurled a rotating sphere of wind that detonated once it made contact with her targets, blasting a hole into Tenebris' army. Fluttershy and her animals did something similar, they were enraged and just tore into the side of the mass of dark figures, those with elements simply blasting their dark enemies while those like Sabor just chomped down on them before moving forward. Seras and the rest of her Vampires went to town on the area that they were in, where Sombra could see them weaving blood arts into the air as all of them fought, while Sora wasted no time in switching to his new Keyblade, the Ultima, since he had been saving it for this very event. There were also breath attacks as Tiamat and Lei Shen unleashed their power on the Dark Army, tearing all of their foes down while the Heartless and Nobodies did the same, and they were also joined by the Unversed, like they were one united force and not three different beings.

Sombra, however, rushed through the air as she and Tenebris clashed in the middle of the air, her Runeblade meeting the edge of her brother's blade while the sky above them literally split apart, a result of their powers clashing, before they fell backwards and faced each other, as the war had begun and both were eager to see what the future held in store for them.
